War Wolves: Boxset 1-3 Page 55

by Jonathan Yanez

What’s ahead for the future? Well I’m so glad you decided to ask. Since I wrapped production on book three in the War Wolves series I’ve been hard at work on another project that will be dropping in a few months. Think Old Man Logan meets We Were Soldiers and you’re close. It’s a single story set in another pair of well known authors’ universe.

In January I also get the rights back from a trilogy of stories under a publisher I used when I was first starting off. I plan to rebrand the series with new covers and blurbs and add more content to the books.

After that I have plans to start my own sci-fan (science fantasy) universe. I’m really excited to break ground on that series. If you’re not part of my pack on Facebook I want to send you a personal invitation or if you’d rather be notified by email and join the pack’s newsletter so we can stay in touch.

I hope you decide to keep in contact. I’m off to write some more words before my daughter wakes up from her nap. You are the very best. You promise not to change and I’ll do the same.

See you on the other side,

  Jonathan

  Justin Sloan

Three books are now out in the series, and at the time of writing we have found out who our narrator will be (she sounds AMAZING). Podium is doing a great job with the audiobooks in the Seppukarian Universe, this one included. Why is a cool company like Podium excited about all of this? Because of readers like you.

The main feedback I have heard from readers is that these books are fun. Know what? That’s exactly the word Jonathan kept using when describing what he was trying to accomplish here—fun. It’s the word I’ve heard so many readers of my other series say is the reason they keep coming back, and so we’re going to keep on focusing on making FUN stories, as long as you keep reading.

Having fun while reading is why we keep at it, right? For a lot of us, anyway, it’s about escaping whatever else is going on, whether it’s depression, boredom, stress, whatever. And in many ways these stories work as a way of making us forget these problems, or even giving us courage that we can rise up and defeat whatever’s in our way.

Got some crappy boss you can’t stand anymore? Well, don’t be like Riot and use weapons to solve this problem, but be like her in that you won’t give up, you won’t sit around and wallow in self-pity. Would she sit around at the water cooler and complain? Hell no! In that situation, I have no idea what she would do, lol, but I imagine she would kick butt on her next project so she gets the recognition she deserves, or maybe go out there and start networking like crazy so that when the right job opportunity arrives, she’s ready.

Of course, some problems are not beaten, right? Cancer, for example. We can’t just punch it in the face and conquer it, as much as we’d all love to. But we can find fellowship, we can change our mindset to not let it defeat us mentally. It’s tough, and I think fiction like this helps us through these kind of things. Maybe I’m giving too much credit to books and you think I sound like an idiot, right? That’s fine. But I know this is the case for me and MANY of my readers who write quite often describing exactly this situation. When we receive those notes, it’s incredibly touching. I can’t begin to tell you how many times I’ve gotten teary eyed and, when my wife asked me what’s wrong, I’ve told her I was reading another email from a reader. You all give us the inspiration and courage to keep putting ourselves out there, and we thank you for it form the bottom of our hearts.

Okay, enough sappy stuff. What’s next? We have more amazing books coming in the Seppukarian Universe, so stay tuned! And if you liked these, you might like my scifi books that I’m doing in the Kurtherian Gambit universe—VALERIE’S ELITES. I also have some sweet solo works coming in 2018, so be ready!

If you liked the books, please leave reviews, follow us on Amazon so you don’t miss new releases, and keep in touch. Thank you again!

Justin Sloan released his first spinoff in the series as well! You can find Shadow Corps available online today:

Death isn’t so bad if it means saving the universe.

Samantha was badass even before she learned magic. Fending for herself in the cauldron of a planet torn apart by an alien invasion taught Samantha how to kill. Ruthlessly efficient, her abilities have caught the attention of the Shadow Corps.

A group comprised of deadly warriors who focus on galactic safety, using any means necessary.

A battle-hardened warlord causing you trouble? The Shadow Corps will ruin their day.

Her first mission puts her team up against a space dragon, death reapers, and the ultimate sorcerer.

Samantha had better learn to master her alien magic, or be forced to watch her world, and many others, burn.
