She bent over the table, sorting shirts. I admired the plumpness of her ass as she did. She turned, and I let her watch my gaze shift from that delectable derrière to her feline gaze, holding it. I wanted to force her to express full acknowledgement of my desire.
She blushed, averted her eyes to the floor, and grabbed a shirt.
“I found this shirt in your size. The other has to be ordered. We can ship it to your house in five to seven business days.”
I nodded.
“I’ve also pulled this shirt.” She held up a French blue shirt with a textured pattern. “This is not the same as what you’re returning, but it’s similar.”
“Do you have a dressing room?” I asked. “I’d like to try them on, make sure they fit.”
“Sure. Right this way.”
Her dangerous curves danced slowly before me as she led me to the fitting room. She pulled out the pins and clips from the first shirt as I waited.
“Would you like me to take out the pins and needles for you for the other shirt, or do you have it?”
I took full advantage of her private attention, and caressed my hand over hers as I took the shirt. I winked, and her jaw flexed ever so subtly, further amusing me. She was so sexy as my prey.
“I’ve got the hang of it. Thank you.”
I turned to her. “Are you closing soon?”
“This is our last hour.” Those eyes tried so hard to be cold, but they were literally almond-shaped puddles of warm, gooey chocolate. “Try on the shirts. I’ll check on you in a few minutes.”
I chuckled as she turned. She was determined to be formal, distant. Bent to pretend we never existed – but I could see the smolder in her eyes.
I wanted her.
She wanted me.
Nothing in her demeanor could prevent me from knowing this. I didn’t just see her desire, I could feel it emanate in waves off her lily-soft skin.
I could smell her lust ooze from between those thick, juicy thighs underneath those soft black pants. I wondered what kind of panties she had on, and how drenched they were from being around me. If I stuck my tongue out, I could probably taste it in the air.
Nobody could ever make that pussy cream the way I did.
No one else ever would.
Chapter Twenty-Eight
Misha
I started to become annoyed with Alex’s presence. The more I tried to keep things quick, professional, and civil, the more he pressed against my edges, pulling down the wall between us.
First, he kept checking me out, staring head to toe, and giving generous glances at my butt. Next, he insisted on trying on the shirts. Finally, he slid his hand over mine and caressed it when I put him in the fitting room.
I looked at the clock. We had less than twenty minutes until closing time. There was little activity in my department. My sole employee was back on the floor, assisting a customer with a return. Another stood by awaiting his assistance.
“I left your package on your desk,” he said when he saw me.
“Thank you.” I nodded in acknowledgement of his words. “I’ve got someone in the fitting room, so I’ll have to get to that after.”
I helped the other customer, who needed to make a quick purchase, and then I walked to the sport coats. I started readjusting the racks, ensuring items were properly sized. Doing so allowed my to calm my nerves and focus elsewhere than on the fact that the man of my sweet dreams and beautiful nightmares was in the back. It also meant the department was nice and clean so we’d be ready to leave as soon as possible.
I was tempted to text Vanessa, but thought against it. I don’t think even she would know what to say if I revealed this to her. Alex at my job? Again. Ugh.
Alex called out from the back. I couldn’t hear him, but my employee motioned for me to check on him. I smiled widely at him and his customer as I walked past. I needed this night to hurry up and end so I could go home and hide.
I promised to take the next two days off. Just to breathe. To be. This was too much.
I tapped on Alex’s fitting room a couple of times.
I started to ask how it was going when the door opened and he abruptly pulled me in, causing me to release a shriek.
Chapter Twenty-Nine
Misha
Alex flung the fitting room door open, yanked me by the arm and pulled me inside.
He pressed me against the mirror in the enclosed space, and cupped my face in his hands. I was convinced he was fucking crazy.
“What the hell is wrong with you?! I have customers out there. This is my place of business.”
He ignored my harsh whispers and annoyed face, looking at me with pure adoration and lust.
“Misha.” He growled, loud enough for only me to hear. “Why are we doing this?”
“Doing what?” My nipples hardened, and my clit jumped, but I wasn’t falling for his ruse. “We are not doing anything. I’m doing my job. You’re acting like a nutcase.”
I maintained a light volume to my speech, disinterested in making a scene. Even still, the dampness in my panties spread even more.
“I know you want me.”
His hazel eyes gazed into mine, and I felt another twitch on my clit.
Fuck, I hated him.
I wanted him. I hated him. I hated that I wanted to feel his balls slap against my cunt while his cock plunged into me, stretching my walls with each thrust.
He licked his lips and the cold layers around my heart softened, but only slightly. He was determined to make me listen to him and wouldn’t take no for an answer.
“I want you.” He purred. “You don’t want me?”
“I wanted you back then. When you called me, texted me, interacted with me, and showed me who you were.” I was proud of holding my ground. “I don’t know who you are now. Hell, I’m not sure I’ve ever known you at all.”
He froze, his eyes shocked with the realization that it wasn’t going to be this easy. As wet as I was, I still had morals. I still needed to stand up for myself. I still needed to assert my maturity and growth from the situation.
I wasn’t going to be like the rest of the women he may have been with who simply melted with sweet words and sexy gazes. I’d already been that woman, and I learned my lesson already.
My soulmate was on his way, and I did not need this asshole - as sexy as he was - to block me from my destiny.
“Yeah,” I spat. “I remember everything. It doesn’t matter what you want. I don’t want you.”
For the first time, the cool façade was dropped as I glared into his eyes. He froze, and his pupils dilated.
Yeah, I had him where I wanted him. Feeling the sting of being rejected.
“Are you buying this shirt? Because we’re closing in ten minutes. Otherwise, I suggest you get out.” I spoke coolly and professionally, except when I added emphasis and said, “Now.”
Alex swallowed, slightly unnerved, but only temporarily.
I attempted to push past him, ready to scream because, one, I couldn’t get away from him, and two, there was this part of me that really didn’t want to.
What the fuck was wrong with me?
I hated love spells.
I’d never do one again.
Chapter Thirty
Alex
“Babe, wait.”
I abruptly dropped to one knee.
She was pissed, understandably so, and I was to blame. I tried to give her the treatment I’d given other women, sweet eyes and slick words, and it backfired.
She wasn’t a ditz like Fiona, or easy to persuade like other women in the past. She demanded respect, even when her cunt was so wet I could taste it in the air. She would rip my fucking head off before she allowed her desire to take that away from her.
Her beautiful eyes had transformed from cat-like to angry, glassy slits. I’d never seen a woman so equally terrifying and beautiful in this state.
Most women I met didn’t have this level of composure and expression. I didn’t know whether I
wanted to kiss her and declare my love or run.
Option one.
“Alright, alright, alright.”
I grabbed her hand cut the crap. For the first time in my life, my heart truly started pounding. The tables had turned. Now I was the vulnerable one.
“Let me speak.” I commanded gently. I took a deep breath and just let it flow.
“I’m sorry. I never meant to hurt you the way I did,” I sighed. “When we met, you were unlike any woman I’ve ever met. You were - and still are - intelligent, attractive, sexy, and radiant.”
Her eyes widened, and her breath hitched, but she remained silent.
“You’ve captured my heart and mind. I’ve never had a woman like you who knew how to own a conversation, a room, or my energy without blinking an eyelash.”
Her pupils widened slightly, and that bottom lip trembled, almost imperceptibly.
“The night we met? I felt like an electric shock went through me. I knew you were the One. But I wasn’t ready.” I chuckled at my brazen honesty, shrugging in disbelief at how honest I was being. I felt like trembling, but I’d be damned if any woman ever saw that.
She continued to stare, but said nothing. I looked into her eyes, willing her to see I was for real.
“I thought I was ready for you, but I wasn’t. When I looked at you, touched you – held you – for the first time, that was the only time I had ever simply held a woman and fallen asleep with her in my arms without having sex involved first.”
Misha’s hand started trembling. She looked away from me and began focusing her gaze on the fitting room door ahead of her. Her eyes were getting glassy. I was breaking her resolve.
The overhead announcement interrupted. “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Our store is closing for the evening…”
“Alex, I have to -”
“Let me finish.” I squeezed her hand.
I didn’t care about the closing call. I’d get the shirts later if needed. This was important.
“That can wait. I’m giving my baby an apology. One you’ve been owed because I’ve been anything but good to you.”
She sighed, and the first tear fell. She looked away as I spoke. Her hand began to tremble, and her body started shaking as she resigned herself against the wall.
My heart bruised to see the effect I’d had on her. I stood and nudged her to sit on the tiny cushioned seat in the corner.
She resisted me at first, but gave in at my insistence. I told her I would hold her hostage until she listened, and I meant it.
I got back down on one knee, grabbed her hand and covered it in both of mine, and confessed.
“I’ll just come clean and admit it. I ran from you. I abandoned you. You didn’t deserve that. I’m an rakish asshole. And I’m sorry.”
Any other time I would have let my pride take over. I would have let her live in eternal confusion. But the turmoil in her face, and my soul to skin attraction to her wouldn’t let me live without her.
Whatever was left of protecting myself from her, I peeled it away and threw it on the floor in that moment.
She deserved it.
She pulled her hand from mine, covered her face and started bawling.
“Why are you doing this?” She cried, unable to control her feelings. “And why are you doing this here and now of all places?”
I pulled her hands from her eyes, kissed them, and dug out the last of my secrets as I confessed.
“Because I’m in love with you.”
Chapter Thirty-One
Misha
“Because I’m in love with you.”
I gasped.
Alex loved me? Alex, the jerk I had fought to forget, in love with me?
Those three little words bounced off the walls of that tiny fitting room, started to bang onto the door nailed shut in my heart.
I didn’t know how to react. I had to be going absolutely mad. This man built me up, tore me down, ran off for months – MONTHS.
Now, here he was in front of me, confessing that he had been in love with me this entire time?
I laughed in bitter disbelief. As much as my soul whispered yes, my brain refused to be a victim.
“You’re in love with me? Bullshit. You can’t be in love with someone you deliberately hurt and avoided, Alex! I loved you. I tried to reach out to you. You ignored me.”
“I know.” He whispered, dejected.
“You don’t know. I gave myself to you openly, even held space for you to come to me. To speak to me. You left me hanging.”
Tears started up again. Tears of rage. Fuck. I was going to look a mess when I left the dressing room. I could only imagine what would happen if someone walked back here.
I suddenly felt extremely claustrophobic, smashed up against the wall by my emotions.
“You left me questioning myself. Questioning whether I was dumb for opening up to you. Foolish for baring my soul to you. Stupid for trusting you, wanting you. An idiot for holding space in my heart for you, even though you played me.”
I emboldened myself to look into his eyes, stabbing him coldly with them. I hoped my emotions agitated his soul. And I was ready to drive the nail in further, so I confessed something I never had the balls to tell anyone.
“You made me think… all this time, that you didn’t love me because my weight was too much for you.”
My voice was fragile under the weight of this secret. I’d never shared this with anyone, even Vanessa, but I wondered if I was just too big for him, despite what he’d said. Men spoke a good game, but their public image sometimes felt tarnished by that of a plus sized woman. Fuck those men. Fuck Alex if that were even more the case.
Pain poured into his hazel gaze, and for once, I saw true shreds of regret in his expression. Good. I wanted him to feel like shit for what he did.
“I never ran from you because of your weight.”
His right hand reached up, landed on my shoulder, and slid down my arm, cupping itself around my ample hip.
“Baby, I’ve always loved every portion of you, especially your curves. Every part of your body is delicious, your gorgeous face, to your pretty titties…”
He looked down at my toes and looked up. “Not to mention each and every one of your sexy ass toes. I know you didn’t forget the way I sucked and savored each and every one of them, don’t you?”
I didn’t say anything in response, yet against my wishes, my cunt twitched in desire. I blushed and looked away. The operator made the store’s second closing announcement. This one, I couldn’t ignore.
“I have to go.” I used Alex’s shoulders to push myself off the bench.
He remained on one knee and pressed his nose into my crotch. He closed his eyes as he inhaled the scent of my pussy, which was steaming hot and soaking wet. I was embarrassed because any hot-blooded man could smell me from a thousand miles away.
“You smell yummy.” He looked directly in my eyes, his brows glazed with naughtiness. “Let me taste it.”
“Boy, move.” I was tempted to sit on his face out of spite and arousal then and there, but I wanted to go home even more. “Are you buying these shirts, or not?”
He pushed himself off his knee, stood, and looked me in the eyes, this time seriously. “Yes, I am. But I need one more thing from you.”
I scoffed at him in disbelief. This man was unbelievable. What more could he possibly want?
I looked at him, the question bouncing around my eyes.
“What?”
He caressed my chin with his thumb. “You know after all this time we’ve never kissed? We’ve talked, we’ve cuddled, we’ve connected. You let me tear that wet pussy up. But you’ve never kissed me.”
“Correction. You’ve never kissed me.”
“Oh?”
My response was the permission slip Alex needed. He leaned down to press his thick lips against mine. The electricity of this passionate moment jolted every fiber of my being to life.
Any bitchiness, frustration, hate - i
t all melted with my lust, desire, and primal need for him.
How do you explain savage need for a man who fucked you over?
You can’t. You just have to experience firsthand to understand.
I moaned, and he pushed his lips even further into mine, groaning with his own savage desire as we tasted each other for the first time.
“Those sweet, sassy lips looked like they tasted like fucking cherries,” he said. “They’re even sweeter than I imagined. Let me taste you again.”
I groaned at the plea in his sensual vulgarity, and knew I was in trouble. My hand went to lay against his stomach and I accidentally touched his erection. Memories of how thick and hard he was ripped into my brain, reminding me of how blessed he was down there.
He gripped a handful of my ass as we kissed one more. He growled with desire. “You have no idea how badly I’ve wanted you.”
“Misha, can we begin closing registers?”
“Oh shit!” I pushed away at the sound of my employee’s voice calling into the fitting room. We were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I called out. “No. I’m still with my customer. Call the operator and manager in charge for me please? Once you do that, just go home. I’ll close up.”
“Thanks Misha.”
I turned to Alex, who looked lustful and amused at our dilemma.
“Look. I’m not going to play with you. I need to go home. Give me those shirts and your card. I’ll have everything ready for you when you’re done getting dressed.”
He motioned for me to get the shirts, handed them to me, and kissed me on the forehead. Pulling out his credit card and handing it to me, his eyes were filled with lethal lust.
“Make sure you’re ready too.”
Chapter Thirty-Two
Misha
Alex was parked up next to my car when I reached the parking lot. I was shocked, as it was still pouring. He insisted on following me home with the excuse being he needed to make sure I got there safely.
