“Did that hurt, honey?” Axel asked.
“Yes and no,” she panted.
“Explain.” Axel was deep inside of her and not moving. She wriggled her hips to try and get him to move, but he popped her on the ass instead.
“Hey!” Enya pushed back up onto her hands and scowled at him over her shoulder. When she saw the grin on his face, she had to bite her lip so she wouldn’t burst out laughing. She had no idea people could be playful or laugh while making love, but she liked it. Axel hadn’t hurt her in any way. In fact, the slight heat from his smack had made her pussy tingle. She wondered if he would do it again since it had felt so good.
“I’m not moving until you start talking, Enya. I don’t want to hurt you ever, so you need to explain what you meant.”
Enya inhaled. “It was only a slight pain when you nudged my cervix but it felt good, too.”
“So you’d want me to do it again?” Axel asked.
“Yes. Please.”
“Okay, but if it starts hurting and not in a good way, you’re to tell me immediately. All right?”
“Yes.”
“Good.” Axel pulled out and then stroked back in, nudging the entrance to her womb again.
Enya groaned. She loved what he was doing but she needed more. She wanted, needed him pounding into her fast, hard and deep. After licking her lips, she opened her mouth to tell him what she wanted but ended up moaning instead.
He must have wanted more, too. Or maybe he’d realized what she wanted. Either way, it didn’t matter.
Axel pumped his hips faster and harder. His pelvis slapped against her ass and the front of his thighs smacked into the back of hers. Once she had his rhythm down pat, Enya started moving with him. She shoved her hips back toward him as he thrust forward.
The fiery heat spread from her womb to her pussy, causing the internal pressure to grow. Juices leaked from her vagina as the blissful coil tautened. Her arms were trembling so much she couldn’t hold herself up anymore and ended up collapsing on the mattress. The changed angle seemed to enhance everything she was feeling. Axel’s cock felt thicker and harder, her pussy felt tighter and wouldn’t stop rippling as the walls grew closer together.
She was hovering right on the edge of release.
Axel was pistoning his hips, gliding his cock in and out of her pussy so fast and hard, he was moving her up the bed, but no matter how hard she reached for the release, she couldn’t seem to topple over.
And then he pressed a wet finger into her ass.
Enya screamed as she flew. “Axel!”
She shook and shivered as her pussy clenched and released around his still thrusting dick.
He grunted but kept driving his cock in and out of her sheath while he pumped that finger in and out of her ass. When he started growling Enya knew he was about to come, too.
His body blanketed hers once more and while he kept stroking in and out of her pussy with his cock, as well as the finger in her ass, he reached around and pinched her clit between his thumb and finger.
Enya shot straight back up into the stratosphere. Her mouth gaped on a silent scream of euphoria as she orgasmed again. Her whole body quaked and quivered with the strongest climax yet. Juices dripped from her pussy and she saw stars.
Axel roared as he shoved deep again and held still. His hips ground against her ass as he reached his peak. Each time his cock pulsed and twitched, aftershocks wracked her body. When her last contraction waned and she blinked her eyes open, she noticed that she was flat on the mattress with Axel draped over the top of her.
Enya smiled at Axel when he opened his eyes and when she saw the emotions in his green orbs, tears pooled in hers.
Axel frowned. “Are you okay? Did I hurt you?”
“No.” She cleared her throat when her voice came out hoarse. “You didn’t hurt me.”
“It’s the connection, isn’t it?” he asked.
She nodded.
“Don’t be scared of what you’re feeling, honey. Cam, Phoenix, and I feel it, too.” Axel eased his softening cock from her pussy.
Enya expected him to head for the bathroom to deal with the used condom, but instead, he flopped onto the mattress beside her and pulled her into his arms. She loved that he was seeing to her needs and cuddling with her, rather than cleaning up first.
“You’re amazing, Enya. You’re the woman we’ve all been waiting for.”
She placed her hand on his chest and snuggled into his side. She was so warm, content and sated, she didn’t want to ever move again.
Axel lifted his head from the pillow and peered into her eyes.
“Please don’t break my heart, honey.”
Chapter Thirteen
“I would never do such a thing,” Enya snapped. From the way her eyes had widened with shock, he’d surprised the shit out of her. And while he hated that he’d pissed her off after such an amazing experience, Axel was feeling vulnerable and uncertain. He’d never felt that way before and hated that he did now.
“I’m not trying to make you angry or hurt you, but my heart is on the line, Enya. Just as Cam’s and Phoenix’s are.”
She sucked in a deep breath and he was relieved to see the tension recede from her shoulders. “I’ll make a deal with you.”
“Go on.” Axel waited with bated breath for whatever came next.
“None of you break my heart and I won’t break any of yours.”
“Deal.” Axel smiled, leaned forward and kissed her softly on the lips. He just hoped that she realized that he’d just laid his heart on the line without saying the actual words, but he wasn’t sure she’d received the underlying message he’d given her.
Hopefully, she’d work it out soon. Enya was smart enough to figure out that he’d just told her in a roundabout way that he loved her. It might take a few days for the penny to drop, but she’d get there eventually. He just hoped he was nearby when the lightbulb went off.
“Do you want a shower, honey?” he asked as he rolled from the bed to his feet. He needed to deal with the condom and thought she’d be a lot more comfortable after bathing.
Enya nodded, sat up and then took his proffered hand in her own. He tugged her to her feet and then led her into the adjoining bathroom. She covered her mouth when she yawned and watched as he pulled off the condom and dropped it into the small trash can. When Axel met her gaze and winked, she blushed. He chuckled when he realized she was still a little shy but knew that would quickly change the more time he and his friends spent with her.
“Come on, honey.” Axel guided her toward the shower with a hand at her lower back. He stepped into the glassed off cubicle and turned the taps on. When he was sure the water was at the right temperature, he beckoned her in.
She sighed as soon as she stepped under the warm water and closed her eyes. When she wavered on her feet, Axel knew she needed to sleep. It didn’t matter that it was almost lunch time. Enya was exhausted.
Axel helped her wash quickly and then bathed himself before turning the water off. He nudged her toward the bathmat, grabbed a clean towel from the rail and dried her off. “Why don’t you go and hop into bed, honey?”
She blinked up at him and then frowned. “It’s the middle of the day.”
“So what?” Cam asked as he entered the bathroom, Phoenix right behind him. “You’ve just made love with all of us and you were tired as soon as you opened your eyes. You need to take this opportunity to catch up on some sleep, sweetheart.”
“Cam’s right,” Phoenix said as he moved further into the room. “We know you’re always up well before dawn to get the baking done for the diner. Why not take advantage of your sick leave and have a nap?”
“Y’all are so bossy,” Enya replied as she headed toward the door. “I’ll let you get away with ordering me around this time, but don’t expect me to any other time.”
Axel grinned as he watched her stomp out. Their woman could be a contrary little thing. None of them had told her what to do at all. They
d suggested but he knew her weariness was making her irritable.
He dried off and then followed his friends out. He almost laughed when he saw that Enya was already snuggled up in bed, out like a light. Their life was definitely going to be more interesting now that she was with them. Axel was looking forward to each and every day.

After Enya had woken, eaten a sandwich and downed some more ibuprofen, she said, “I want to go to the diner.”
“Why?” Cam asked.
“I just want to make sure that Delta, Violet and the others don’t need me.”
Phoenix sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair. “We already told you that Delta’s given you the week off with paid sick leave.”
“I know.” She crossed her arms beneath her breasts.
“Then why do you need to go to the diner, honey?” Axel asked in a deep gentle voice.
She bit the inside of her cheek when she saw him glare at Cam and Phoenix. That made her think that Axel was the more patient and compassionate of the three. She might just have to test that theory later.
“Just because I can’t do the baking doesn’t mean I can’t do anything else.”
Cam frowned as he crossed his arms over his muscular chest. Enya’s gaze wandered over his broad shoulders and brawny biceps. “Like what?”
“I can do all the paperwork.” She threw her hands up in the air. “I can still use my fingers.”
“You’re a stubborn little thing.” Phoenix smirked.
“Pot, kettle.” Enya pointed at Phoenix and Cam.
Cam took a step toward her. “Oh sweetheart, you haven’t seen anything yet.”
Enya sighed with exasperation, but she could tell by the twinkle in Cam’s eye he was trying to be humorous. Maybe he was trying to lighten the tension in the air after his earlier outburst.
“Whatever.” She met each of their gazes. “Which one of you is going to take me? Better yet, don’t worry about it. I’m sure you all have things you need to do. I can walk.”
“No.” Phoenix pointed at her. “You’re not going anywhere by yourself until the sheriffs and the deputies know and catch whoever terrorized you.”
“It was probably just a kid trying to relieve their boredom.” Enya glanced away. She didn’t believe that any more than they likely did.
“I’ll take you,” Axel said as he took a step closer.
She smiled at him. “Thank you.”
“You’re not to do anything in the kitchen,” Cam commanded. “And I don’t want you working for more than a few hours.”
“Yes, Dad.”
Cam moved closer and nudged her gaze up to his. “I’m only trying to look after you, sweetheart. I’m not trying to be a dictator.”
“I know. Sorry, I don’t know what’s come over me.”
“You feeling a little out of sorts, baby?” Axel asked as he moved in behind her and wrapped an arm around her waist before tugging her back against him.
“Yeah. Maybe I got out of the wrong side of bed.”
“Maybe.” Phoenix kissed her temple and released her. Just as he stepped back his cell phone rang. “Shit! How many injured? Okay, we’ll be there in five.”
“What?” Cam asked.
“There’s been an accident on the highway. A coach bus full of people was hit by a semi,” Phoenix explained.
“Fuck!”
“Do you need me?” Axel asked.
“No,” Phoenix answered. “Between the nurses, me, Cam, William, and Niall, we should be fine.”
“Make sure you stay by Axel’s side,” Cam said just before he planted his lips on hers. He hurried toward the door as soon as he released her.
“Stay out of trouble.” Phoenix slung an arm around her shoulders and kissed her firmly on the lips before he followed Cam out.
“Are you ready, honey?” Axel asked.
Enya nodded. “Let’s go.”

“What are you doing here?” Delta signed.
Enya smiled at her deaf friend as she answered verbally as well as signing, “I wanted to make sure you were all coping and I thought I might be able to deal with the paperwork while I’m out of action.”
“Are you sure?” Delta frowned. “You don’t need to push yourself. I need you to fully recover so you can get back to making all those delicious pies, cakes and muffins.”
“I’m okay. Promise.”
Delta glanced at Axel and quirked an eyebrow. Enya was a little pissed that her friend was checking up on her but she kept her anger banked.
“Paperwork and typing is fine for a while. She’s not in danger of busting the stitches while working on the PC.”
She sighed with relief, glad that Axel wasn’t as anal as his friends. She wouldn’t have offered to do the books and other things if she’d jeopardized the sutures. She didn’t need her palm to tap a few keys on a keyboard.
“Okay.” Delta nodded. “I’d be really grateful for the help.”
Enya smiled and turned toward the office. The breath left her lungs when she bounced off of something hard. If Axel hadn’t been behind her and caught her against him, she would have ended up on her ass. She glanced up at the man she’d slammed into. “I’m sorry. I wasn’t watching where I was going. Who are you and what are you doing back here?”
The man smiled at her. “I’m sorry. I’m a customer and was looking for the rest rooms.”
“They’re on the other side of the diner.” Enya pointed back the way he’d come.
“Thanks. Sorry for bumping into you.”
“It was my fault.” Enya pushed the man from her mind and turned toward the office, aware of Axel at her heels. She moved behind the desk, sat in the chair and nudged the mouse to bring the screen to life. Axel went and sat on the small sofa and picked up one of the food magazines Delta had subscribed to. She got to work going through the e-mails, placing the orders and entering the receipts. She was so engrossed in what she was doing she didn’t realize Axel was standing at her side until he clasped her shoulder. Enya startled so badly, her ass left the seat and she banged her knee on the underside of the desk.
“Shit. I’m sorry, honey. I thought you knew I was there.” Axel turned the chair toward him and squatted in front of her. “Did you hurt yourself?”
“I’m fine.” When he frowned at her she clarified. “I only bumped my knee. I might end up with a bruise, but so what.”
“I don’t like you hurting at all, honey.”
Enya rolled her eyes even though she was secretly glad that Axel, Cam, and Phoenix all seemed over the top protective. That warmed her heart.
“How’s the hand?”
“It’s fine.”
Axel stared deeply into her eyes and she knew he was trying to see if she was fibbing, but she wasn’t feeling any pain at all. Of course the threads pulled at her skin if she moved the wrong way or too quickly, but she could deal with that inconsequential discomfort.
“How much more before you’re done?” he asked.
“There a still a stack of receipts that need to be entered. Why?”
“Phoenix just texted me. They need my help, sweetheart.”
“Then go.” She stood at the same time Axel did.
“I don’t want to leave you alone.”
“I’m not alone. Delta’s in the kitchen. Kiara and Katie are waiting on tables and Cindy should be here soon.”
“You’re to stay here until one of us comes to pick you up. Okay?”
“I will.”
“Stay safe, honey.” Axel bent, pecked her on the lips and hurried away.
Enya sighed and got back to work. She wasn’t as fast on the keyboard as Delta or Violet and she’d never bothered to learn to touch type the numbers because she hadn’t thought she’d ever need to. Now she wished she was as proficient as she was with the alphabet. It slowed her down to have to look from the papers to the keys and back again.
Maybe she’d have everything entered by the time the diner closed.r />

Perry ground his teeth so hard he was in danger of snapping a tooth. He hadn’t expected to run into one of the bitches while scoping out the diner, but he was glad he had. He was now certain more than ever that going after the slut was the right thing to do.
He was pissed that she’d been swept away from her house by those fucking doctors and while it seemed she was staying with them for protection, it wasn’t going to help. He was going to find a way to make all those sluts pay for him losing his job.
From the way the doc had been looking at the bitch, the prick was smitten. Since there seemed to be an inundation of ménage relationships in this backwater hick town he had a feeling the other doctors were all looking to have the bitch as their woman. If he was going to make a move on her, it had to be soon.
But how was he going to get his hands on her if she had those asshole quacks watching her every move?

Enya leaned back in the chair with a tired sigh. She’d caught up on all the paperwork and data entry and while she was exhausted and her hand was throbbing again, she felt as if she’d achieved something.
She glanced at the clock on the computer screen and was surprised that there was only five minutes left until the diner was due to close. She shut the PC down, filed all the receipts in the correct folders for the accountant to go through and headed toward the kitchen.
“Hi, Enya, how’s the hand?” Major asked when he glanced at her over his shoulder. He was standing at the kitchen sink scrubbing one of the big cooking pots.
“Okay,” she answered and then glanced at Delta. “Do you want me to do anything?”
“No, everything’s done and you can’t do much with your hand the way it is.”
Enya grimaced.
Delta smiled. “How much of the paperwork did you get through?”
“All of it.”
“You did?” Delta asked. “Wow, girl, you know how to work.”
Enya nodded. “I hate sitting on my hands.”
