“Are you alone?” His voice was gruff. Was he angry at her?

“Yes, Sir I’m in my office. I’m sorry. I was only kidding.”

  “Lock the door, Angel. Now.”

The room suddenly felt small, but she quickly flipped the lock.

  “How wet are you?”

  “Soaked,” she whispered.

“Good. Sit in your chair and play with yourself over your panties.”

  “Someone might hear,” she protested.

“Then I guess you better be quiet.”

  ### “Have you started playing yet, Angel?” Michael asked as he reclined in the drivers seat of his SUV. He had stopped on his lunch break to message Adara. Phone sex hadn’t been on his mind, but her sassy and rather bold response to his dirty text had fueled his desire for her.

The area he was parked in was too public, or he might be tempted to unzip his fly and stroke his cock as he spoke to her. For now, he would be satisfied with making her come in her office.

“Yes, Sir,” his girl whispered. The need in he r voice was strong, and he grinned. Getting her all worked up was one of his favorite things to do.

“Good girl. Now, tell me. Were you intending to touch that wet little cunt without my permission or were you just trying to get a rise out of me?”

“I was just trying to get a reaction, Sir.” Her voice was shaky.

“Take off your panties. Send me a picture of that pretty pussy. I want to see how wet it is.”

“Do I get to come?” Oh she wanted to question him did she?

He chuckled. “Does it matter? Isn’t that pussy mine?”

  “Yes, Sir.”

  “Picture now.”

The sound of a text came through a minute later. The picture that filled his screen had him groaning. Her folds glistened with her own wetness. Wetness he knew he had caused.

“Such a good girl. You deserve a reward. Make yourself come for me.”

Her breathing grew heavy in his ear and little groans escaped her. As her groans grew louder, he coaxed her to continue with gentle words of praise.

  “Please.” She whimpered.

“You can come, Angel. If I had time, I would drive over there and fuck you senseless. You’ve got me so hard right now baby.”

To her credit, she managed not to get too loud, but he could tell when she climaxed.

After a moment, she cleared her throat. “What are you doing to me? That is so not like me.”

He chuckled. “You mean you don’t have a habit of having phone sex in your office on your lunch break? That’s good, Angel. I would have to spank you if you did.”

  “Promises promises.”

“Watch the sass, Angel. I can bring a hair brush with me tonight. I’m sure I can find a closet or empty room to blister that bottom in.”

Her gasp had him grinning. Public spankings in places other than the club weren’t actually his thing, but she didn’t need to know that.

“Shit. Bradley’s knocking. Gotta go Sir.”

“Hold on a minute. How are you doing? Was that OK?”

“It was wonderful.” He felt relief that he hadn’t pushed her too far.

“I love you, Angel. I should get back to work.”

  “I love you too Michael.”

The call ended, and he closed his eyes. The joy she sparked in him was unexpected but it had been that way since the day he’d first laid eyes on her. He had plans for tonight and wanted everything to be perfect. Shoving open his car door, he stepped out and made his way inside the jewelry store.

  ### After her unexpected afternoon orgasm, the rest of the day flew by and soon, Adara was back at her house dressing for the Given’s fund raiser. The gown she chose was a full length straight line dress in deep purple. It was off the shoulder and sexy in a way that wasn’t too scandalous for a presidential campaign event. She chose silver jewelry and a pair of black heels. Since Michael asked her to meet him there, she would call a cab instead of driving. Following his request was easy since she figured that meant he was spending the night again. They might as well move in together at this point.

The evening was filled with various speakers discussing the campaign and recent efforts to make sure Steve Givens became the next president. As far as campaign events go, this was a fairly small event. Adara knew pretty much everyone in the room from her years in Washington. Adara and Michael were seated near the front of the room, close to the podium where speaker after speaker filed up to share something. Finally, thelast “serious” speaker finished and Adara knew it was time for the entertainment. She’d had to talk Bradley out of warming up the audience with some bad jokes of his own, assuring him the professional comedian would do just fine on his own.

  Bradley was introducing him though.

“Good evening everyone. I was planning to tell you a few jokes, but my boss talked me out of it.” He threw her a wink. “Before we move on to the entertainment portion of the evening, we have one more speaker for you tonight and we’re in for a real treat.”

What was he doing now? This wasn’t on the program. They had just gone over it this morning.

“We’re proud to have several members of D.C.’s finest from the Metropolitan Police department with us tonight. We want to say a huge thank you to them, not only for their support, but for keeping us safe and serving this community. We’re especially honored to have the new chief of special investigations with us tonight and he would like to say a few words.”

Michael winked at her as he stood and approached the podium.

  What was happening right now?

At the microphone, Michael said. “It’s an honor to be here tonight, representing the men and women of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department. I can think of no better candidate for president than Steve Givens. He’s a man of honor, integrity, and he’s going to work hard for this country. But I have to be honest, Steve Givens isn’t the only reason I’m here tonight. And he’s not the reason I’m up here talking. Some of you may have heard a name in the news the last several days.” He looked at her as he continued. “That name would be Adara Kent.”

Her mouth fell open. What was he doing?

“Miss Kent is an amazing woman who has endured a great deal. I hope I’m not about to overwhelm her. I wanted to take afew minutes to tell you about her.”

Steve Givens was supposed to give the endorsement. Her face went red as he spoke.

“She’s someone who is tenacious, compassionate, and generally an amazing human being. I’ve spent the last several months getting to know her and last night I came to a conclusion.”

He pulled the microphone from its holder and walked to their table. When he reached her, someone in the audience whistled.

“What are you doing?” she mouthed. He just smiled down at her.

“I came to the conclusion, that I want to spend the rest of my life getting to know her,” he said as he lowered himself to one knee in front of her.

  “Will you marry me?”

Adara’s mouth fell open again. This was not on her radar at all.

The microphone now lay on the table, and Michael was holding an open ring box. Inside, was a beautiful platinum band engagement ring. Tears began to fall down her cheeks. He had shocked her to tears and speechlessness.

“Don’t keep the man waiting,” Bradley said from the platform.

Adara laughed and threw her arms around Michael’s neck.

  “Yes. I’ll marry you.”

“Oh thank God. I was starting to sweat,” he said as he pulled away and lifted her left hand to slide the ring on.

“You’re insane,” she said with a grin on her face.

He hauled her from the chair and wrapped his arms around her and kissed her deeply while the audience went wild with applause, loud cheers, and whistles. When he broke the connection, he leaned in close to her ear and whispered, “You said no collar, but you didn’t say anything about a ring.”
