“Seriously guys. We gotta go.” Reed prompted.
“Fine. We are coming.” Lucas said as he grabbed my hand and walked me to the booming door.
In a burst of panic, I looked down to see what I was wearing. Thankfully, Cassie always seemed to know things. What she picked out for me were a pair of leggings and a tank top. Something that I could go outside into the public and not look ridiculous. I was going to have to thank her for everything she has done for me and my family.
As we opened the door, my heart sank. Reed looked as if he was hit by a truck overnight. His hair uncombed, turned every which direction, and large bags under his eyes. Sweat beaded from his forehead dripping to his body below.
“Reed, what’s wrong?” I questioned him.
“You guys, the Britain pack brought an entire army. They said that when Adelina’s dad wins the fight, they kill each and every one of us. Starting with Nina.” Reed said frantically.
Lucas let out a loud death growl. I placed my hand on his arm to try to soothe him.
“I’d like to see them try,” I said narrowing my eyes. “Plus, there isn’t any way Lucas wouldn’t win.
“You guys don’t get it. I don’t think they are going to play fairly. They brought a huge army. You saw what they tried to do at the wedding. It wouldn’t surprise me if they tried to pull something during the fight as well.”
“We better go before they try to pull something….” Lucas started to say as he was cut off by a loud scream. A scream I knew all too well. My heart dropped into the pit of my stomach as I started running with all my might.
“Catherine!” I screamed as I ran out the door, into the clearing, where dozens of werewolves with guns littered the earth.
