Facing the Dragon: Confronting Personal and Spiritual Grandiosity Page 23

by Robert L. Moore

In summary, we will not realize our potential as individuals or as a species without a conscious and committed effort to befriend the Great Self that presses all of us from within and will continue to assault our dark, depressed little citadels of ego until we open ourselves up to a larger, more radiant life. The strategies of Beowulf and Ahab will not work. Our future turns on how we accept the challenge of creating a conscious, respectful partnership with the dragon. This is the challenge I leave with you.
