Patrick kissed the sensitive spot between her neck and shoulder. “Are you comfortable?”

  “Very.”

“Anything I can do to make you more comfortable?”

His other hand traveled across her stomach to between her thighs. One finger circled her clit. Tera drew in a sharp breath at the intense sensation. “Like what?”

“I have several options in mind.”

His warm breath against her neck raised goose bumps across her flesh. “And those are?”

“Do you want me to tell you?” Another finger joined the first. “Or show you?”

She spread her legs wider apart to give him more room. “I vote for showing.”

  “Whatever the lady wants.”

He pushed those two fingers into her channel. Tera grabbed his thigh as he pressed his fingertips against her G-spot and began a gentle massage. “How’s this?”

She couldn’t speak, not with little pulses of pleasure shooting through her pussy.

“With how wet you are, I’d say you like option number one.”

“Op-option number one is very good.”

“I know how to make it better.”

Tera didn’t see how it could be any better. Curiosity made her ask, “How?”

  “Lie down on your back.”

She whimpered when he withdrew his fingers, but quickly swallowed the sound of disappointment and did as he said. Patrick dropped to his knees on the floor. Pushing her thighs apart, he lowered his mouth to her pussy.

From the moment he first saw her, Patrick had pictured Tera like this—spread open before him, her labia swollen and wet. He’d imagined the scent of her arousal, the flavor of her juices.

His fantasies paled next to the reality.

He licked all the way up her slit to the hood, back down to her asshole. The puckered area opened slightly to the tip of his tongue. Using one thumb, he rubbed her clit while he darted his tongue farther into her ass. He moved up to her channel, thrust his tongue inside, returned to her asshole. Over and over, he fucked both areas with his tongue while he caressed her clit.

When he had her puckered hole nice and wet, he slowly pushed a finger into her ass. Tera moaned loudly. She placed one foot on the back of the couch, opening herself wider to him. Patrick took that as a sign that she wanted more. He pushed her other leg toward her chest, giving him more room to lick her. He ran his tongue over every bit of her folds, shoved it in her channel, as he caressed her clit faster.

Her skin glistened with sweat. Her nipples hardened. Patrick moved his thumb from her clit and used his tongue. He circled the tight bundle of nerves, flicked it, raked his teeth across it. She grabbed his head, arched her hips closer to his mouth. Taking that as a sign that she was close to orgasm, he drew her clit between his lips and suckled.

Tera bucked against his face. “Patrick! Yes! Oh yes!”

Her anus squeezed his finger. Leaning back, he watched the opening to her pussy pulsate with her climax. He continued to watch as he blindly reached for a condom on the coffee table. Once sheathed, he climbed over the top of her, entered her with one long glide.

She sank her hands into his hair, guided his lips to hers. She licked his lips, as if she wanted her taste as much as he did, then drove her tongue into his mouth. Patrick answered her hungry kisses with hard thrusts of his cock. Tera met every one, using her foot braced on the back of the couch for leverage.

  “Harder! Patrick, harder please.”

He gave her what she wanted, pistoning his shaft into her pussy as fast as he could move his hips. Tera threw back her head, closed her eyes tightly. A strangled sound came from her throat. Her pussy walls milked his cock as her body trembled.

The pulsing motion sent Patrick over the edge with her. The climax roared through his body and out the end of his cock.

Thoroughly spent, he lay on top of Tera while his lungs battled to draw in oxygen. He had enough presence of mind to prop up on his elbows so she could breathe. Other than that, moving was out of the question for at least two days.

“I’ll give you a thousand dollars for another glass of Coke,” Tera said in a raspy voice.

Patrick chuckled, lifted his head from her shoulder to look into her eyes. “That’s a pretty high price for a soft drink.”

“I’m good for it, I promise.”

“Give me a few seconds to get my legs to work.”

  “A very few seconds.”

“Jeez, give a gal a couple of orgasms and she gets bossy.”

She dug her fingernails into Patrick’s ass, causing him to jerk and mutter a soft curse. “I get mean when I get bossy,” she said, humor dancing in her eyes.

  “I believe you.”

Patrick rose to his knees first to test their strength. When he didn’t collapse, he climbed off the couch and held out a hand to help Tera. “C’mon. If I have to move around on these weak legs, you do too.”

“You’re completely unreasonable, do you know that?”

  “Yeah, yeah. Up.”

He grinned at her grunt as he pulled her from the couch. “If you’ll grab the glasses, I’ll take care of…” He motioned toward his cock.

  “Sure.”

Patrick came out of the half bath to see Tera leaning against the island, sipping from her glass. The only light in the kitchen came from over the stove. The faint illumination turned her skin golden.

  God, she’s gorgeous.

She lowered her glass, gave him a puzzled look. “What?”

  “Just admiring the view.”

Her gaze passed over his body, taking a bit longer at his groin. “It’s not bad from where I’m standing either.”

Patrick took the last few steps to be right in front of her. Slipping the glass from her hand, he turned it and sipped the cold liquid from the same spot where her mouth had touched.

He saw her throat work as she swallowed.

“Do you want anything else? Maybe something to eat?”

Tera shook her head. “I’m fine. Tired but fine.”

“I’m tired too.” He set down the glass, cradled her cheek in his palm. “Will you spend the night with me?”

Her sweet smile sent a pleasant warmth through his chest. “I’d like that.”

He dropped a soft kiss on her forehead. Wrapping his arm around her shoulders, he led her to his bedroom.

  Chapter Seven

The scent of coffee lured Tera to open her eyes. Well, one eye. She pried her eyelid open to see Patrick sitting on the side of the bed, holding a blue ceramic mug.

  “Need a shot of caffeine?”

Yes, directly into my arm. Tera slowly rolled to her back and pushed her hair out of her eyes. “It’s morning?”

“It’s almost seven. We’re supposed to meet Jake and Amanda at eight thirty for breakfast.”

Breakfast didn’t interest her at all. More sleep interested her a lot. She and Patrick hadn’t fallen asleep until almost three. Once in his bed last night, she’d turned to him in hunger again. She couldn’t get enough of his kisses, his touch, his cock inside her. She’d pushed him to his back and ridden him until her body had trembled from another orgasm. Only after she’d felt his body shake from his climax had she curled up in his arms and given in to the weariness claiming her.

After several seconds, Tera managed to focus her eyes on Patrick. He wore a pair of black sweatpants, nothing else. His hair lay tousled over his shoulders. “How long have you been awake?”

“Only long enough to brew the coffee.”

Tera pushed herself to a sitting position, wincing slightly at the soreness between her legs. It had been a long time since she’d had such an active night, not since she and Roger first got together.

A look of concern crossed Patrick’s face. “You okay?”

  “Just a little sore.”

The concern disappeared, to be replaced with a cocky grin. “Oh yeah?”

“Don’t sound so proud of yourself.” Leaning against the headboard, she accepted the
mug from him. She sipped the hot brew and sighed from pleasure. “Oh that’s good.”

“I’m glad you approve.” He rested his hand next to her hip, caging her between his body and his arm. “I thought we could shower together before you go back to your suite to dress.”

As tempting as the vision of water streaming down Patrick’s body sounded, Tera knew she wouldn’t be able to keep her hands off him if they showered together. “I think it would be best if I showered alone in my suite.”

He stuck out his bottom lip in a playful pout. “You’re no fun.”

She leaned closer to him until their lips almost touched. “Could I have a rain check?”

His cocky grin returned. With one finger, he tugged down the sheet to expose her breasts and openly stared at them. “Are you sure I can’t interest you in a shower together now?”

She glanced at his groin, saw the healthy bulge in his sweatpants. Desire pooled in her tummy again. “You know what will happen if we shower together.”

“Why do you think I’m asking?”

Tera touched his chest, let her fingertips sift through the soft hair. “I’m really tempted, but—”

  “I don’t like buts. I like yeses.”

  “Patrick—“

“I’ll wash your back.” He flicked her nipple with his thumb. “Or anything else you want washed.”

She couldn’t help laughing at the hopeful expression on his face. “Later, okay?”

He smiled, touched her cheek. “Okay.”

Tera took one more sip of the excellent coffee before she handed the mug to Patrick. She could feel him watching her as she tossed back the covers and climbed from the bed. She noticed her clothes neatly folded on his desk chair. “Thank you for gathering up my clothes.”

He gave a one-shouldered shrug. “Just trying to be helpful.”

“Do you have a plastic bag I can have?” she asked, picking up her sweater from the pile of clothing. “I don’t want to put my undies on just to take them off as soon as I get to my suite.”

  “Sure.”

Tera bent over to step into her pants. Patrick’s hand glided over her bare ass before she got the chance to cover it. “It’s a shame to hide something so fine.”

She pressed her lips together to keep from laughing again. “Plastic bag.”

  “Right. I got sidetracked.”

  “I noticed.”

He flashed her a lopsided grin. “You can’t blame a guy for trying.”

Tera chuckled while watching Patrick saunter from the bedroom. She loved his sense of humor, his playful personality. Last night’s lovemaking had been beyond incredible. She could quickly become addicted to it…and him.

That would be a very stupid thing to do. She was only here until Monday. This was a weekend fling and a chance to visit with Amanda. She didn’t want anything more. Although she no longer loved Roger, she wasn’t ready to have another man in her life. She wanted to concentrate on her job, her friends, her family. She wanted to travel, see places she’d never seen. For now, that would be enough.

Besides, if she did something stupid like fall in love with Patrick, she had no guarantee he would return her feelings. Why should he, when he had literally hundreds of women come through his resort every month who would gladly spend a night or two with him?

Tera stepped into her shoes as Patrick returned with a gray plastic bag bearing the Dennison Resort logo of an abstract downhill skier. “Here you go.”

“Thanks.” She stuffed her panties, bra and socks in the bag, finger-combed her hair the best she could. “Shall I meet you in the restaurant?”

“I’ll stop by your suite about eight twenty and ride down with you.”

  “Okay.”

His hand resting on the small of her back, he walked her out of the bedroom and to the kitchen. Once at the door, he looked down at her feet. “Do you have boots? We’ll be walking outside a lot today.”

  “No problem. I came prepared.”

He touched a lock of her hair. “A hat or cap would be good too, to help preserve your body heat.”

  “That I don’t have.”

“There are lots of shops on the first floor. I’m sure you can find something you like.”

“Maybe I can talk Amanda into shopping with me after breakfast.”

“I doubt if you’ll have any trouble talking Amanda into shopping.” He wrapped his hand around her nape, dropped a soft kiss on her lips. “See you in a bit.”

Tera stepped into the elevator and pressed 4. She looked back at Patrick’s suite to see him leaning against the doorframe, watching her. He winked before the elevator doors slid shut.

Her stomach jumped, and she doubted it had anything to do with the elevator’s descent.

Don’t fall for him, Tera. Do not fall for him.

  * * * * *

Amanda huffed out an aggravated breath. “Are you going to tell me voluntarily, or do I have to drag it out of you?”

Tera looked away from the display of hats in the gift shop and into her friend’s scowling face. “Tell you what?”

  “About last night with Patrick.”

Deciding to tease Amanda a bit, Tera returned her attention to the hats. “What about last night with Patrick? Do you like this one?” she asked, pointing to a green hat with gold brads around the rim.

“I don’t care about the hat! I want details about last night. Did you spend the night with Patrick or not?”

Tera couldn’t stop the grin from spreading across her lips. “I did.”

Amanda also grinned. “All right! So what did you think?”

“I think he’s an amazing lover. Is Jake that good in bed?”

“Oh yeah. He does things with his tongue that…” She stopped, closed her eyes and shivered. “Amazing is a good word to describe him.”

  “Lucky you.”

“Yes, I am.” She opened her eyes again and looked at Tera. “C’mon, I need details. How many times did you come?”

“Amanda!” Tera quickly scanned the area around them to see if any other shoppers stood in earshot.

  “No one can hear us.”

  “You’re terrible.”

“I’m nosy. You told me sex with Roger wasn’t great. Was it better with Patrick?”

“Like the difference between canned tuna and steamed lobster.”

Amanda grinned again. “I knew Patrick would satisfy you.” She leaned closer and spoke softly in Tera’s ear. “What about tonight? Have you decided to be part of the foursome?”

Tera had thought about it all through breakfast. She couldn’t lie to herself and say the idea of being sandwiched between Patrick and Jake didn’t appeal to her. Plus thinking about making love with Amanda while the guys watched sent a zing straight to her clit. She nodded.

Amanda grabbed her in a fierce hug. “This will be Patrick’s best birthday ever. And not a bad night for us either.” She pulled back to look at Tera again. “Did y’all use condoms?”

“Of course. Patrick told me he’s clean, but I felt better using protection.”

“That’s good. A woman can’t be too careful. But Jake and I are clean, and if Patrick says he is, I believe him. I’m not worried about using a condom in the foursome. Are you willing to do without them too?”

If Amanda trusted Patrick, Tera had no reason not to do the same. She nodded again.

“Good.” Amanda snatched a red knit cap with the Dennison Resort logo from the display. “There’s your hat. Pay for it and let’s get back to the restaurant. I’m sure Jake has looked at his watch five times by now.”

Tera made her way to the checkout counter and stood in line behind two young women who were giggling and pointing at something next to the register. Curious, she leaned around them so she could see what fascinated them so. A full-color picture of Patrick reclining on a couch, wearing nothing but a white towel and a smile, greeted her.

She plucked the picture from the acrylic holder to see it was the cover of a calendar. “Amanda, did
you know about this?”

Amanda’s eyes widened. “No. Wow, talk about sexy.”

Tera agreed. Large letters at the top of the picture proclaimed Welcome to Dennison Resort. The current year appeared in the lower corner.

The two women completed their transaction—including two of the calendars—and moved away from the counter. Still engrossed in the picture, Tera stepped up to pay for her cap.

The thirty-something woman at the register smiled. “Isn’t he dreamy? That’s the resort’s owner, Patrick Dennison. The calendar is a fundraiser for our volunteer fire department. It’s raised enough money so far to buy new coats for the firefighters.”

That didn’t surprise Tera. She imagined every woman who saw the calendar would buy it, simply to drool at Patrick’s picture. Flipping through it quickly, she saw a different handsome, sexy man every month—none completely nude but all shirtless or with their shirts open, and all in sexy poses. She liked the June model, who wore a white chef’s apron and nothing else. “Do all these guys work at the resort?”

The clerk nodded. “The eye candy around here is really nice. Check out December.”

Tera turned to the last page to see Patrick leaning against the large fireplace in the lobby. He wore low-cut faded jeans and an unbuttoned maroon shirt. Christmas lights that decorated the fireplace surrounded him. He held up a glass of champagne, as if toasting whoever looked at his picture.

Amanda plucked three calendars from the holder. “I gotta have one for me, my mom and my friend Mo. Tera, how about you? There are two left.”

“I have more in the back,” the clerk said. “That display holds twenty-five calendars. I refill it at least twice a day. Plus the calendar can be ordered from our website, if you decide you want more after you get home.”

She planned to take lots of pictures while here, but she could hang the calendar on her wall and enjoy Patrick for months. There was no rule that said she had to turn the calendar to the exact month. She could leave the cover showing all the time. It would remind her of her incredible time with him.

Tera took the other two calendars from the holder and laid all three on the counter with the knit cap and her Visa. “I’ll take all this.”
