  “What’s wrong?” Clarity asked.

  “It’s a feeling I have,” Solace said. “What if the alien gave us these babies?”

  “No.” Clarity smiled. “Those babies are Menace’s, have no worry. They are as much Menace’s as my baby will be Doom’s.”

  “What?” Doom yelled.

  Rex slapped a little hand to his head. The hyena farted, and Bubble-gum played dead. All three cubs rolled onto the ground with their feet in the air in perfect imitation of their father.

  “I’m gonna be sick,” Clarity said and placed a hand over her mouth.

  Menace clapped Doom on the back. “Welcome to my world, Daddy.”

  What a world it had become.
