“I’ll make sure he knows,” Danny said with a more serious tone. “Anyway, I should get back to relieve Terry and see if there’s anyone who didn’t collect their things from their lockers.”
“Wait a minute.” Spencer demanded, catching Jaxson’s eye as the man walked across the club, laughing with an arm around Chase and Emma. When he tilted his head, the man looked more than a little irritated to be interrupted on his journey towards the VIP elevator back to their private floor, but Spencer really didn’t give a shit. Things needed to be handled so he could get home too.
“What?” Jaxson asked after he’d walked over, short and abrupt.
“We need to discuss the Ethen incident.” Spencer shook his head when both Jaxson and Danny let out a groan. “Decisions have to be made tonight, because I’m not waiting for someone to show up at Runway serving us papers when Ethen files a lawsuit, and you know he will, Jaxson.”
“I do.” Growling low, Jaxson glanced back to Chase and Emma with a resigned look in his eyes. Then he took a deep breath and nodded. “First and foremost, Ethen is banned for life. Sneaking a cell phone in here is bad enough, but to use it to record a submissive for what could have only been despicable reasons is beyond unacceptable. He’s going to make for a good example on how we handle people who put our security at risk.”
“Good,” Spencer nodded, satisfied that Jaxson wasn’t thinking of backing down just because Ethen was a shark of a fucking lawyer. Turning to Danny, he felt a frisson of anger that he tried his best to tamp down. “You have an explanation for how that asshole got a cellphone inside anyway?”
“You’re kidding, right?” Danny looked surprised at being confronted, and his own anger came to the surface as he gestured back toward the security room. “The check-in process has always been an honor system. You think our customers would tolerate having me pat them down and dig through their play bags or purses?”
“It’s your j—”
“No, he’s right, Spencer.” Jaxson grumbled, cutting him off before he could lay into Danny for not taking his job at the security desk seriously. “We have always trusted our customers to abide by the rules because the alternative is losing their membership and getting to tangle with Lambert, Urbanski, and Reed. But, clearly that isn’t enough of a deterrent for someone like Ethen.”
“So, what’s the solution? Implement a no purse rule? All play bags get checked? Turn out their pockets, etcetera?” Spencer asked, already dreading the extra time all of that would take during the check-in process. There were already nights when things got so busy just after opening that the customers were bitching about the line to scan in with Danny — adding more time would be a fucking nightmare.
“That is not a viable solution.” Sighing, Jaxson crossed his arms and blew out a breath. “There was a vendor who came by last year trying to sell me on metal detectors for Runway, and in the catalogue he left behind I saw a high-end detector that government facilities use. Can catch cell phones, smart watches, and even weapons. All that shit.”
“Why don’t we have it then?” Spencer asked, not even flinching when Jaxson glared at him.
“Because it’s a ten-grand expense for a problem I didn’t think we had.” Grumbling, Jaxson looked around. “Where is Garreth anyway? I need to speak with him.”
Turning, Spencer shouted across the club, “GARRETH!”
Closing his eyes for a moment, Jaxson rubbed his temple. “Was that really necessary?”
Smirking, Spencer pointed at Garreth as he walked out of the co-ed locker room, jogging towards them. “It worked didn’t it?”
“What’s going on?” Garreth asked, looking between the three men.
“You have anything you want to tell me about Ethen O’Dowell and Hadlee Winters?” Jaxson asked, arms crossed again as he stared the DM down. Spencer had already tried to get the man to talk when he’d seen him glaring daggers at the bastard, but Garreth wasn’t going to spill whatever Ethen had done to the girl.
“I don’t have anything to tell you,” Garreth answered, crossing his own arms.
“Well, then looks like we’re all going to wait for this to blow up in our faces.” Frustrated, Jaxson muttered under his breath for a moment and then looked up again. “Just so you know, Ethen is banned for life, Hadlee won’t have to worry about seeing him here anymore. And since we had about fifty witnesses to her grabbing onto him and covering him in the food play stuff we can expect him to file something against both the club, and Hadlee herself.”
“That’s—” Garreth’s anger was instantaneous, but Jaxson silenced him with a hand.
“If he does, I’ll have Lambert, Urbanski, and Reed handle her defense.” Sighing, he shook his head. “We’re about to test that contract we have with them, but I won’t let him hurt her worse than he apparently already has. Even if you won’t say anything.”
“Thanks, Jaxson,” Garreth answered quietly. “Look, I’ve still got a few things to do before I leave, can I…?”
“Go on,” Jaxson waved him off and turned his gaze back to Danny. “You too.”
“Gladly!” Danny answered, chuckling as he walked back to the security room.
“Jesus Christ, tonight was crazy!” Klara practically shouted as she walked over to him, wrapping her arms around his waist from the side, and Spencer couldn’t resist pulling her close and leaning down to breathe in her shampoo.
“The bar did look busy,” he grinned.
“Are you kidding? I think we had almost twice as many non-participant guests this year. My staff are exhausted, and we’re still not done with clean up!” She muttered a few curse words under her breath before she smiled at Jaxson. “You look serious, is this about the girl who called red?”
“Actually, no. Although that is something else I apparently need to talk to Spencer about before I get to enjoy my evening.”
“You decided to open a BDSM club, did you think it would be easy?” Spencer asked, unable to hide his grin with Klara rubbing up against him in all the right ways.
“I thought that handling this shit was why I hired you,” Jaxson answered.
“Well, if you’re comfortable with me making all the decisions, I can always stop giving you updates and looping you in.”
“No.” Another terse response that left no room for argument. “What I want to talk about is why we had two dungeon monitors abandon their stations on the biggest night of the year to play with submissives.”
“Well, Noah did request Garreth’s help, and Owen did clear it with me to have Dillon take over the rope station.” Spencer defended his DMs, because while Jaxson was irritated, neither of them had truly broken any rules.
“That’s ridiculous, Spencer, and you know it.”
“Sounds like we started a tradition last year,” Klara chuckled, roaming one hand down to pinch his ass and he couldn’t hide his smile with her.
“Exactly,” Jaxson said, even more irritated. “We cannot have DMs just joining in the game because they get a hard-on for one of the subs. I expect you to make it clear to them that when they’re on the clock here, they are on the clock. That means no play. They all have free memberships here as part of their employment, and they can just as easily come in on their off days as anyone else.”
“You want me to tell them that?” Spencer asked, doubt in his voice.
“You are the Dungeon Master, right?”
Chuckling, Spencer tilted his head towards Klara. “I am, but I think I may not have a leg to stand on when it comes to lecturing the DMs on playing with submissives during Roulette.”
“Christ…” Jaxson groaned. “Fine. I will address everyone at the next staff meeting, and I’ll be sure they get a reminder at the pre-Roulette planning meeting next year. I’m not having this happen again, got it?”
“Aye aye, captain.” Klara saluted him, and Spencer leaned back to land a hard spank on her ass. “OW! What the fuck?”
“You don’t get to smart off to Doms in my dungeon, Klara. Especially not one
that owns it.” He ran a hand across her ass before pinching it hard. “Apologize.”
“Fuck! Fine. I’m sorry Jaxson. Sir.” The tone she’d said the words clearly weren’t as respectful as they needed to be, but Jaxson just rolled his eyes.
“Go on and finish cleaning up, Klara. Spencer is less of an asshole when you put him to bed.” Jaxson smiled a little when Klara laughed.
“See you in a bit,” she said just before she leaned up to kiss him. Her lips were perfectly soft, still stained red and gorgeous. Just like every inch of her, and he couldn’t wait to put his mouth all over her body in just an hour more.
“I told you she wasn’t submissive,” he joked, reminding Jaxson of his claims before last year’s Roulette, but the man just sighed.
“Look, we both want to get laid, so let’s finish this up. Who called red tonight, and did we get it resolved?”
Spencer chuckled. “That would be Brittany who got paired with Albert Davies.”
“Shit, what did Albert do to make a sub call red? From what I understand he’s not into pain play.” Jaxson looked confused, which only made Spencer laugh a little harder.
“Their third spin of the night was Dom’s choice, so Albert had Brittany doing some cock worship, which I think she wasn’t into already, and then…” His laughter made it hard to speak, and even Jaxson was grinning now, although he looked a little nervous.
“Spit it out, Spencer.”
“He told Brittany to give him a rimjob, and from what Terry tells me, she took that about as well as an ice-cold bucket of water. She told him no, he reminded her it was Dom’s choice, and—”
“She safeworded.” Jaxson shook his head, laughing softly. “Well, that’s one way to save us five-grand.”
“Not to mention that after all that bluster Victor put on when he signed up, he walked out with the girl who went by Brooklyn before the night was over.” Spencer shrugged. “Not like he can’t afford a membership on his own.”
“Did Victor really walk out?”
“Yeah, and trust me, I will be having a conversation with him the next time he’s at the club. With Brooklyn or not.” Spencer grumbled, but then shrugged it off. “Like you said, five grand saved there. And then we had Sophie47 faint before things even started, and Scott dropped out to take care of her. I’m pretty sure they know each other.”
“So, you’re saying we saved fifteen grand in possible dues tonight?” Jaxson smiled.
“We did.”
“Well, then I guess I’ll order that fancy technology detector in the morning. But, right now, I want to go see my lovers.” Jaxson turned on his heel to walk away just as Danny shouted across the room.
“Hey! Have you guys seen Connor and Gabriella?”
Spencer turned to look at Jaxson. “Isn’t that the lawyer from the firm?”
“It is,” Jaxson gritted out.
“Well, they haven’t claimed their stuff from their lockers, and I’m pretty sure they need their car keys.”
“Shit.” Looking around, Jaxson beckoned Chase and Emma over. The two lovers had tucked themselves onto a couch, kissing and talking quietly, but they quickly stood to obey their dom.
“Everything okay? Things have looked a little intense over here.” Chase grinned wide, keeping his arm around Emma’s waist, her face and lips flushed.
“Just dealing with a few problems. Have you seen Connor and Gabriella?” Jaxson asked, stepping closer to cup Emma’s face and look into her eyes.
“Connor? No, I haven’t. Is Gabriella in trouble again?”
“Possibly. They’re still in the club somewhere, or they decided to try and go home without their wallets or keys.” Sighing, Jaxson leaned closer to Emma and whispered. “Why don’t you go upstairs and get things ready while Chase and I find Connor. We’ll come take care of you soon.”
“Promise?” Emma asked, fighting a yawn.
“I promise.” He kissed her, parting her lips until she moaned against them, and Spencer cleared his throat.
“Hate to interrupt, but we do have two errant participants and it’s already after eleven thirty. Part of the law firm or not, they need to get out.”
“I’m well aware.” Giving Emma one last kiss, Jaxson nudged Emma towards the elevators and Chase walked with her part of the way, whispering to her before they separated with another kiss and Chase headed back towards them.
“Well, just so you know, Connor handled Gabriella’s punishment for obtaining an invitation not meant for her. But if you decide she needs further correction, I’m sure Connor won’t mind it.” Spencer let the smile pluck at his lips as Jaxson laughed a little.
“Connor would love that.” Jaxson walked towards Chase, waving. “Have a good night. We’ll have plenty to deal with in the morning, so make sure Klara lets you get some sleep.”
“Not my priority, Jaxson!” Spencer answered and chuckled, watching as Chase and Jaxson started looking around, and the prick flipped him off over his shoulder.
“Why are you shouting at Jaxson?” Klara asked, sidling up to him as her staff waved and said goodbye to her while walking towards the exit.
Grabbing her around the waist, Spencer pulled her tight to his front so she could feel the unmistakable erection that was only getting harder with her squirming against him. “I told him that sleep was not my priority with you in my bed.”
“Is that right?” Klara purred, smiling as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
“It is. And you’ve been bossing people around all night so I think I know just what you need.”
“What’s that?” she asked, reaching between them to pluck at the belt on his slacks.
“You’re going to be treated like the very bad girl you are.” He grinned when she moaned softly and tore at his buckle.
“You know the rule. If you call me a bad girl, you have to fuck me.”
“Oh, I absolutely will. After I tie you down, flog this gorgeous body, and edge you until you’re begging me.” Spencer’s cock turned to steel in his pants, and Klara’s swift hand found it through the fabric to stroke with purpose.
“Sounds like a plan, boss.”
He grabbed a fistful of her hair to hold her head still so he could claim her mouth, kissing her the way he’d wanted to earlier when Jaxson had been too close for comfort. But now he could taste her, the sweetness of the cherries she’d stolen while she worked, and all he wanted to do was get her home to do exactly what he’d described. Just as her moan turned desperate and her hands started to fumble at his belt again, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her away. “Ready to go celebrate Valentine’s Day?”
“Yes, sir.” Klara winked and he linked their hands, adjusting his belt to head toward the exit where Danny was grinning at them. But he didn’t care who saw him with Klara anymore. She was his, and they’d just had another successful, albeit dramatic, night of Roulette.
What would happen next year? Well, they’d just have to wait and see.
