All I’ve ever wanted to do is write stories, but I’ve had fun going down different storytelling paths at times. I couldn’t do that if I wasn’t blessed with readers like you who are willing to follow me down those story trails. You’ve traveled through the years in my Shaker village of Harmony Hill. You’ve shared the adventures of Jocie and friends in my Heart of Hollyhill books. Then you went farther back in time to Rosey Corner to share the lives of the Merritt sisters. Some of you even went to 1855 Louisville for Words Spoken True. And now I’ve created Hidden Springs where mysteries happen. So thank you all for reading.
I also thank my publishing company, Revell Books, a division of Baker Publishing, for letting me tell the stories in all these different places. Thank you, Lonnie Hull DuPont, for your help in making my stories better. Thanks also to Barb Barnes for her careful editing, line by line, to keep my mess-ups to a minimum. Thanks to Lindsay Davis for her readiness to help anytime I ask her. I appreciate the whole Baker team and the great work they do on my covers and in turning my stories into books.
I am blessed to work with a wonderful agent, Wendy Lawton, who is always looking around the next storytelling bend and encouraging me to do so as well. Her encouragement and prayers mean so much.
Thanks, too, to Tony Likins, who tried to guide me into the modern era of local police forces. Any mistakes I made are my own and no reflection on him.
Last of all, I thank my family and my Lord. Blessings on top of blessings. Great is thy faithfulness.
