“Yes, Sir. Sorry, Sir,” Crimson Seven replied as he headed toward the Pale Dragon. Xanatos fired zotium torpedoes at the Argoni Quickstrike that took Crimson Seven out of the fight. The torpedoes penetrated the Quickstrike's shields and hit its engines and rotating coupling at the same time. The Quickstrike drifted toward the planet's surface.
Meanwhile, Graceful Eleven's group was doing their job of disabling the tractor beam. Crimson Three and Scorpion Seven to 'plow the road' of Diablos and Katarns, as Grace Eleven fired at the tractor beam housing.
“Crimson Three, Grace Eleven, I'll make the run for the tractor beam. Get out of here and help Dragon Leader,” Scorpion Seven ordered, as he headed for the War Dogma's tractor housing unit.
“That is suicide,” Grace Eleven replied to her comrade.
“That is what these Personal Space fighters are designed for. Suicide missions. Now, go!” Scorpion Seven ordered as he flew right past the two from his group and sped into the tractor housing unit. The tractor beam was disabled. The Crimson Stingray was free to attack the War Dogma at will.
“Scorpion Seven, no!” Grace Eleven cried as he saw Scorpion Seven's Personal space fighter collide with the tractor beam housing of the War Dogma.
“Yes, Grace Eleven?” Scorpion Seven replied over his comm-unit.
“Your alive, Scorpion Seven?” Grace Eleven asked stunned.
“Uh, yeah I am a Wind Elf. Those of us in Scorpion Squadron that aren't Wind Elves have teleportation locks from the Pale Dragon on them,” Scorpion Seven said on board the Pale Dragon.
“Really, well that is why they are called 'Suicide Fighters.' The Pale Dragon has a lock on all of their pilots,” Graceful Eleven replied as the War Dragon and Shadow Draconic came out of Phantom Space. “We've got two Argoni Battle Cruisers and they have friends with them, Dragon Leader,” Grace Eleven reported, as the Battle Cruisers launched their space fighters.
“Scorpion Leader, this is Scorpion Seven. I will need assistance in the Dragonchess. I will be launching it in three minutes and it will need some cover,” Scorpion Seven replied on the Dragonchess' channel comm frequency.
“Acknowledged, Scorpion Seven, or should I say Dragon Two,” Dragon Leader stated back to the now Dragon Two.
A shuttlecraft of ancient Dragonling- Argoni origins flew out of the Pale Dragon's fighter bay to assist Dragon Leader's fighter squadrons. The Dragonchess fired at the Sphinx Katarns and enemy Diablos with the accuracy of a War-Wing. One of the Diablo's got a direct hit on the Dragonchess' rear cannon. The rear cannon was disabled and gunner in its seat was critical wounded.
“Sqiidas, do you copy? Captain Sqiidas, do you copy?” Dragon Two asked on the captain's personal comm-unit. “Dragon Leader, this is Dragon Two, I lost my rear gunner. It was Captain Sqiidas, and he was critically wounded. You and I must return to the Pale Dragon,” Dragon Two reported to Xanatos.
“What was Sqiidas thinking entering the Dragonchess as her rear gunner? He was supposed to be on the Main Bridge, not being a gunner on that ancient rust bucket. I will be on the Main Bridge,” Xanatos scowled at Dragon Two.
“The Captain will want to see you, if he wakes up,” Dragon Two replied concerned for the captain's condition.
The Dragonchess and Xanatos' War-Wing flew back to the Pale Dragon with great speed. Xanatos saw a female Wind Elf carefully carrying Captain Sqiidas out of the Dragonchess and they headed for the Medical Deck. Xanatos headed for the Main Bridge to take command of the Pale Dragon while the good captain rests and heals from his wounds.
Captain Sqiidas was laid on the operating table and a Hurthian Doctor whose name tag said Doctor Azteki Tonne stepped in the room. Dr. Tonne was the best doctor in the PRA. Dr. Tonne saw what he feared as he examined the shrapnel wounds on Sqiidas' main body section. Dr. Tonne shook his head when he looked at the Wind Elf flight officer who looked very upset and covered in a purple liquid. Dr. Tonne knew that was Chi- Koss blood on her clothes and was trailing behind her.
“Is he dead, Dr. Tonne?” the young flight officer asked gravely.
“The shrapnel from the blast has entered his vital organs,” Dr. Tonne nodded. “He has two hours, tops. That is the best I can do, even a Chi- Koss medic will tell he has two hours and twenty-five minutes. I am truly sorry, Helena. Inform Commander Xanatos that he is now our new captain,” Dr. Tonne bowed his head in defeat.
Dr. Tonne covered up the captain's body with a thin black sheet of cloth. He found a wheeled table and placed Sqiidas' body on it. A male Erif- Ki came to aide Dr. Tonne in removing Sqiidas' corpse. The Erif- Ki male saw the corpse and nodded at Dr. Tonne, as he touched the head of the corpse and it started to catch fire. The process of the pyre ceremony took twelve minutes.
“Thank you, Nurse Friedan. Now that the captain remains are ash you may leave,” Dr. Tonne mournfully stated.
“Flight Officer Aidene,” Friedan started. “you did well in aiding. Now, please freshen up and give your blood stained to me. I will dispose of them correctly,” Friedan replied as she nodded and left the Medical Deck. “I am sorry about the Chi- Koss captain. He was a great captain. I heard that she and Sqiidas were close friends.”
9 - In the village of Santa Felinia on Argon
Corvet`e finished the investigating the Tribal Council and they reported to him that his son, Rudigger Hackman never reported to them. The Grand Councilman was to present Rudigger Hackman with the Seal of Adulthood two days ago, but the boy never showed up.
Corvet`e left the Temple of the Tribal Council and headed for War Spy 325. War Spy 325 was interrogating a villager from the street. Corvet`e went to the outskirts of the village to visit his wife and see his home one more time. He walked toward the Hackman Homestead to talk to his soul mate. He saw Pamela Hackman sitting on the front steps crying. He walked up to her and tapped her on the shoulder. She looked up at her husband.
Pamela slapped Corvet`e across the his face. The fury of her sudden action said that she was angry and saddened about something Corvet`e had done to her. He was shocked at her action toward him. She then hugged her husband.
“What was that all about, my love?” Corvet`e asked holding her tight.
“My son was taken from me, because of your Empire you love to serve so loyally,” Pamela wept on her husband shoulder.
“Who has taken our son, Rudigger?” Corvet`e asked curiously.
“What your Emperor hasn't told you? He was taken by the PRA. The sworn enemy of the WLE which you and most of the universe serve under,” she scorned.
“Jared is safe on the Shadow Draconic. He is the best space fighter pilot the universe has ever seen come out of Argon. Now, our son Rudigger has been brainwashed by the Pirate Rebels in thinking that the War Lord Empire is evil,” Corvet`e finished as his comm-unit beeped.
10 - On the bridge of the Pale Dragon, in orbit of Tricetus
Xanatos was sitting in the former Captain's seat, as he saw the battle turn in their favor. He also had a tough decision to make. He had to promote Karen Kingsley to First Mate and the Wind Elf that was there for Sqiidas at his death bed the Dragon Leader. He ordered the new Dragon Leader to report to his old Dragonling War-Wing and take lead of all Squadrons. The Wind Elf Flight Officer was now Commander Aidene of the Dragon Squadron. Kingsley was now to remain as the Bridge Commander in his leave.
The now Commander Aidene was flying as well as he was in this battle. She was a better Space fighter Pilot than she was a Shuttle Pilot. Xanatos thought of giving her come rest and relaxation after this battle to clear her emotions from the Sqiidas' death. He was going to take the Pale Dragon to Tropica to give his new crew some time to heal from their loses.
The Pale Dragon fired zotium torpedoes at the War Dogma's Main Bridge. The War Dogma was plunging toward Tricetus, fast. The War Dragon and Shadow Draconic came into real space and launched its space fighters to assist the overwhelmed space fighters of War Dogma. There was one squadron left from the Shadow Warrior, after its destruction from the Pale Dragon's
cannons.
The War Dragon fired at the Pale Dragon with the fury of its cannons. The Pale Dragon's shields held through bombardment. The War Dragon plowed through the waves of space fighters. The Crimson Stingray was firing on the Shadow Draconic. The Pale Dragon fired at the War Dragon's engines and Main Bridge.
The Pale Dragon fired zotium torpedoes into the engines of the War Dragon. The War Dragon was clawing through space like a wounded animal. The War Dragon's decks started breaking apart. The War Dragon was drifting in space. The Pale Dragon turned its cannons toward the Shadow Draconic.
Shadow Draconic ordered all remaining space fighters loyal to the War Lord Empire to return to their Fighter Bay. After the space fighters returned to the Shadow Draconic's Fighter Bay, the Shadow Draconic fled from orbit of Tricetus. The Pirate Rebel Allegiance was victorious against their enemy. There was cheers on the open channels from the Pirate Rebels' vessels and space fighters.
The Pale Dragon was heading toward the planet surface to try to capture the War Dogma in a tractor beam. “Sir, the War Dogma will be in range our tractor beam in fifty seconds,” Kingsley reported. “Tell me, why don't we let them create a crater in Tricetus. The people of the are not loyal to our Pirate Rebel cause?”
“Some of the people are loyal to the War Lord Empire and some are loyal to the our cause. Those are innocent people down there in those buildings. When they see that we saved their city, while the their War Lords fled, where will their loyalties truly lie?” Xanatos replied to his First Mate.
The Pale Dragon caught the War Dogma in their tractor beam. The Pale Dragon dragged the War Dogma out of orbit of Tricetus. They headed toward the nearest star, with War Dogma still in their tractor beam. The tractor beam released War Dogma in orbit of the third moon of Tricetus.
Tricetus launched Sphinx Katarns and Argoni Royals on the Pale Dragon. Tricetus was the United Alliance capital and the United Alliance was an ally of War Lord Empire. The Pale Dragon left orbit and cloaked as the space fighters entered its sensor range.
“Well, so much for gratitude. Commander Aidene, is all squadrons in the hanger?” Xanatos asked as the planetary defenses headed back to Tricetus.
“Aye, Sir,” Aidene reported on the comm-unit.
“Commander Kingsley, get us to the nearest Pirate Rebel Base for repairs and refueling,” Xanatos ordered his First Mate.
“Aye, Sir,” Kingsley replied back, as she headed for Layardia. “I only hope the Talyardians are still supporting our cause,” she worried as the Pale Dragon flew into Phantom Space toward Layardia.
11 - On Argon, in the village of Santa Felinia
War Spy 325 reported to the War Shadow about his findings on the missing Argoni. He found the missing person's name and what faction roped him into their cause. War Lord Corvet`e arrived with a sadden look on his face. War Spy 325 knew he found out the truth about his son. The only son of Corvet`e that was like his mother, Rudigger Hackman. Rudigger Hackman was captured by the PRA's recruitment vessel, the Plunder Trainer.
The village spirit was saddend by the Pirate Rebels sudden capture of one of their own children. The Grand Chief of the Chess Tribe came out of the Tribal Council. He saw Corvet`e returning from his mate's home. He walked over to Corvet`e and talked to the War Lord in private. The War Lord nodded and placed a hand on the Grand Chief's shoulder and moved him aside. Corvet`e walked toward War Spy 325 and they went into the Jungle Buggy.
The Jungle Buggy headed back toward the War Shadow at high speed. They spotted War Spy 313 leaving the War Shadow in civilian clothes headed toward the city of Valientine. She was taking The Sting, the prototype of the Argoni Scorpio-Class Space fighter. War Spy 325 only knew that from the body signature that sensors were telling him on the Jungle Buggy.
“War Spy 313, do you copy?” Corvet`e asked his War Spy on the open channel to The Sting.
“Yes, Master. Emperor Malsvir ordered me to go to my home town to see if the Pirate Rebels will take me, as well. If my mission is a succeed, I will infiltrate the Pirate Rebels and bring that Xanatos to justice. If I don't succeed, I will be getting a long needed vacation. War Spy 313, out,” War Spy 313 replied over the open channel on the Jungle Buggy.
“I knew my Master has plan with Xanatos and she would be a part of that plan,” War Spy 325 stated to Lord Corvet`e.
“Yes, War Spy 325. Your Master should have conciliated with me first,” Lord Corvet`e snarled as the Jungle Buggy entered the main hanger of the War Shadow. They saw Malsvir in the main hanger waiting for them. Lord Corvet`e was the first to get out of the Jungle Buggy. He approached Malsvir with anger in his stride.
Malsvir punched Corvet`e in the face, hard. War Spy 325 sat in the Jungle Buggy until he was called upon. Malsvir smiled at Corvet`e and punched the War Lord on the other side of his face. Corvet`e spat blood at the War Master's direction.
“That was for not telling me that your son is now the Captain of Pale Dragon, and this..,” said Malsvir, as he roundhouse kicked Corvet`e in the face throwing the War Lord to the floor of the main hanger. “is for questioning my authority, as your Emperor,” Malsvir finished as the Emperor's Griffin Guards picked Corvet`e off the floor and into a holding cell. The War Master summoned his War Spy over to him. “As for you, my War Spy,” Malsvir said, as War Spy 325 approached without a flinch. “good job in reporting the truth about Rudigger Hackman and your wife War Spy 313,” Malsvir commended his War Spy.
“Thank you, my Master,” War Spy 325 replied gratefully back. “What happened while I was gone, Master?”
“The War Dogma was destroyed by the Pirate Rebels and War Dragon and Shadow Draconic are in full retreat over Tricetus. The Pale Dragon is now out of that system and retreated after the planetary forces of the United Alliance on Tricetus launched their Space fighters. The United Alliance couldn't locate the Pale Dragon after it cloaked and all its Space fighters returned to its main hanger. After your Intel on the Santa Felinia kidnapping, I have determined that Captain Sqiidas died in the battle over Tricetus and Rudigger Hackman is now her captain. Come, my War Spy. Let's go to the Training Deck and see if you are ready to be a War Lord,” Malsvir guided War Spy 325 to the corridor to the Training Deck.
The War Master presented War Spy 325 with any weapon he desired. War Spy 325 saw an Argoni saber and pick the sword out of the weapons vault. Malsvir had to choose same weapon to see how good his War Spy was with this melee weapon. War Spy 325 must disarm or kill his Master to become a War Lord.
In Holding Cell 13, aboard the War Shadow
Corvet`e was sitting on the floor of his holding cell. The room itself was made from forcatanium, so the War Lord was without his natural abilities of telekinesis or telepathy. He still had his intelligence, but what good was intelligence without the tools to use them. They removed his wrist comm-unit and replaced his War Lord uniform with a prisoner's uniform.
Corvet`e started to meditate like the Knight Training School taught him to do. He was thinking about his Pirate Rebel of a son that got him here. He was alone in this cell because his son is the new captain of the Pale Dragon. The Pale Dragon was one of the legendary ships of the Everlasting Fleet of the Titans. Those traitorous Chi- Koss traders were suppose to be giving all their knowledge to the War Lord Empire and United Alliance. The original captain of the Pale Dragon was a Chi- Koss merchant at one time. He has to get out of this holding cell and talk to the Chi- Koss Trading Guide about one their own that dishonored the contract they made with the WLE.
Corvet`e stood up and looked around to see if there was a way out of this holding cell. He saw an air vent three meters above him on the ceiling. The holding cell has a bed in its right corner. He climbed on the bed and jumped on it to try and the air vent. He was successful and reached the vent. He jumped right through the vent.
12 - In the Gematrix System, on the planet Atron
The Supreme Atron was calculating the data from The Star Crusher a scout patrol ship in the Cetearan Sector. The War Lord Empire was unawa
re of the virus the Atron Scouts placed in their main computer. The virus was on the Flagship of the WLE and three other War Lord Empire vessels. The WLE will fall, as all empires do. The Atron Ascendancy will be take its place, as rulers of the universe.
The Pirate Rebel Allegiance is the only faction that is giving the WLE any trouble. Those Pirate Rebels will not be a problem in the Atron Ascendancy. They don't the resources to defeat a race as advanced as the Atron. The Supreme Atron smiled at the visual the virus was giving him on the War Shadow.
The Supreme Atron summoned his General of his Invasion Fleet, Hudson. General Hudson was another Atron like all others, but unlike the Atron he reported directly to the Supreme Atron. General Hudson bowed his head to the Supreme Atron. The Supreme Atron bowed his head back.
“General, the WLE will not be an issue. They will fall as all empires do. The one faction to concern ourselves with is this United Alliance that allies with them. The Pirate Rebels might be the key in all this. We aide the Pirate Rebels in there without them realizing it. The War Lord Empire will fall even sooner than expected and we invade and conquer their worlds. We will, of course, deactivate our technology, to make things complicated for those freedom fighters,” The Supreme Atron stated to General Hudson.
“What about Valient's Knights and this deity the Argoni and Dragonlings worship?” asked General Hudson.
“Those symbionts have a weakness, everything does. I will find it and use it to our benefit,” Supreme Atron laughed.
“The War Lords might have already found a way to detain the symbionts and their hosts. They may have even temporarily control them,” General Hudson reported.
“What! How?” Supreme Atron requested.
“The War Master froze them in time and placed a special wrist comm-units on them to control the symbionts that make Valient's Knights strong,” General Hudson reported.
