“I assume you men will change your plans and remain on campus?” Headmaster Eliphas asked the others. They agreed they would. “I’m sorry, Cassandra. Braeden. I’ll let you know as soon as we get more information. I promise The Council will get to the bottom of who did this.”

“We’ll meet later and begin your training,” Aurelius said, and walked us to the door.

Outside the admin building, I stopped Aurelius. “You know who did this. So does Headmaster Eliphas.”

  Aurelius nodded. “Edius.”

“Damn.” Oliver paced in a circle, trying to figure it all out. “Why?”

“It was payback for Challis,” Aurelius said. “We should have anticipated his revenge.”

“He won’t stop there,” I said. “There’ll be another guild and then another.” I looked at the others. “We have to stop him!”

“Cassandra.” Aurelius eyes softened. “I know you’re hurting. But we have to do this the right way. The five of you need more training. Edius isn’t going to allow your group to just waltz in and take him out. You have to have a plan.”

“We’re not backing down from Edius,” Braeden said. “But Aurelius is right. We can’t go barge in with anger. We saw what happened to Challis when she fought with anger. We’re better than that. We have to be better than that.”

“We’ll continue training in the morning.” Aurelius’ eyes turned hard. “Your training will become more difficult. Rest up.”

“No, the training starts now.” I turned to the guys. “It’s up to you what you want to do.”

“We have your back.” Braeden looked to the others.

Dash nodded and the others agreed. “Training starts now,” Dash said.

“Good decision.” Aurelius looked like a proud father. “Meet me in front of your dorm in thirty minutes. It’s time to get down to business.”

“Why not at the arena?” I asked.

A smirk crossed Aurelius' lips. “No more training at the arena. Shit’s about to get real.”

We glanced at each other and headed in the opposite direction, the guys following behind me. I looked back at the four men and smiled. “I think we have something to discuss.” I entered the dorm and lead the four up the stairs and into my room.
