We stared at each other, my mouth hanging open as his cock slid in and out of me. I could feel my juices trickling out, his cock sliding in it as he grunted and growled.

“Come for me, baby,” he said, and when I heard him call me that, I couldn’t hold back any longer. My orgasm took over my body, shuddering, toe tingling, and I screamed…I called out his name; I begged him not to stop as he pounded into me.

His mouth was firmly set, his eyes bloodshot as his thrusts became quicker and wilder. Then he released too, his seed shooting out of him and burying deep inside me somewhere. We were staring at each other, fighting the urge to sink our teeth into each other’s skin. I wanted to nibble on his ear, lick his shoulders, feel the dusting of dark hair on his chest which I knew was hiding under that t-shirt.

My orgasm simmered down, and while Jesus remained inside me, it resurfaced again. I screamed out his name as I came for the second time. He was done, but he didn’t stop pushing, his face stretching in a smile as he watched me come. I couldn’t stop, my body was out of my control, and he leaned over and kissed my forehead gently.

“Don’t fight it, Valentina. Give yourself to me,” I heard him say as my orgasm rushed over me.

When it finally subsided again, I felt like I couldn’t breathe. Like there was no air left in my lungs anymore. When Jesus started sliding his cock out of me, I felt a sudden emptiness erupt. I didn’t want it to end. I had no idea what was going to happen next, I just wanted to hold onto this moment for a little longer.

Jesus gently placed me down on the ground and stepped away from me. We were both still breathing hard, and he ran a hand through his hair and shook it out of its ponytail.

“I’m sorry if I hurt you,” he said, and I shook my head.

“You didn’t. I wanted it like that,” I said and watched him push his still-erect cock back in his pants and zip up. I gulped, my body was still shuddering. Chances were that he had his fill of me and now he was going to kick me out. I was technically still a part of the Muerte Viviente after all, and he belonged to the Rogue Rebels MC. My problems didn’t concern him anymore.

“Would you like to take a shower?” he asked me, and my mouth fell open in surprise.

“Okay,” I blurted out. The thought of a warm shower was too tempting to give up.

“The bathroom’s through there, take as much time as you need. I’ll heat up something for us to eat till then,” he said, and I followed the direction he pointed out for me. My tummy instinctively rumbled at the thought of food.

I walked to the bathroom down the hallway and shut the door behind me. In the mirror I stared at myself, for the first time, coming face to face with the state of me and my body. I looked like a mess. How had he wanted even to touch me? Leave alone want to have sex with me.

In a rush, I stripped myself of my clothes and stepped into the shower. When the warm stream of water hit my body, I sighed and turned my face up to the jet, allowing the water to slide smoothly down my aching body. I could still feel the girth of Jesus’ cock inside me. My pussy was still throbbing from the force he had used. What was going to happen to us? He had already been kinder to me than he needed to be.

When I opened my eyes again, I saw him standing at the door. Through the fogged-up glass walls of the shower, I could just see his watery silhouette, and my heart began beating in my chest.

“Jesus?” I said, in a small voice, and I remained still as he stepped closer to me. He was silent for too long, and he was making me nervous.

With one hand, he slid open the door of the shower, and I could see him clearly now. He was fully clothed, and I was completely naked, he was watching me. His eyes were drinking in the shape of my breasts, the curves of my hips, my belly, the dip between my shoulders at the base of my throat. He was staring at me unashamedly.

“I’ll go if you need me to,” I dared to say, and he jerked his eyes up at me. His brows crossed and I could see that I had made him angry again.

“You’re going nowhere,” he ordered, and I watched in shock as he stepped into the shower. For a second, he was still dry, and in the next second, he was drenched. His clothes were soaking wet as he allowed the shower to wash over him. Jesus took another step towards me, now standing directly under the jet. I had to crane my neck to look up at him, and I parted my lips, drinking in some of the water that was streaming down my forehead.

“But…” I began to say, and he grabbed my bare waist, pulling me straight into his arms. Our bodies were pressed together again, and I spluttered while the water poured down over us still.

“I’m going to take care of you, Valentina. Like I was always supposed to. Nothing is going to happen to you ever again,” he said, and he lowered his face down to me. Our lips met, and I closed my eyes, parting my mouth to let his tongue enter in. He didn’t care that his clothes were getting wet, that he was thoroughly drenched now…neither of us did. We were just happy to have found each other again.

  Chapter 7

  King

After Valentina had eaten, I took her to Church. In the bar, the others had already gathered around Elwood. Heads turned when they saw me walking in with Valentina. I didn’t have much of a track record of being seen with women, and I also suspected it had something to do with how gorgeous she was.

A path cleared out for us, straight to where Elwood was sitting on his bar stool, and I caught Commando’s eye as I walked up to the front. Valentina was right behind me, and I could sense that she was nervous. I had filled her in already with the details of what Church was usually like so that Valentina had an idea of what to expect. However, I knew she didn’t belong in this world, and it was all new and scary for her. Especially now that she had the attention of a room full of tattooed up men in leather jackets.

“King. Congratulations!” Elwood spoke, but his eyes were on Valentina the whole time. He had to have heard that I had left the warehouse sooner than everyone else, and now he was sizing up the cause for it.

“We got all the kids out,” I replied, and a low cheer rang out in the bar. I could sense Girth, Slade, and Commando exchanging smiles as well. Our mission had been successful, and as far as I knew, none of my brothers had been lost to the cause.

“Where are the kids now?” Elwood asked, and Commando stepped up to chip in.

“They’re upstairs in the rooms, eight of them in total, Jewel and Ava are taking care of them,” he said, and I looked at him. He hadn’t gotten out of the habit of referring to his mother by her name, Jewel, and Ava, of course, was his wife. They were the only two permanent female fixtures in our Club at the moment.

“They can’t live here!” Elwood barked in surprise and Girth spoke up next.

“Jewel said that she would house them till we can figure out a more permanent accommodation for them. Ava wants to work towards figuring out school and reuniting them with their families,” Girth said, and Elwood’s eyes narrowed even more.

“When you say that Jewel has offered to house them, you mean, house them in our home?” he growled, and Girth nor anyone else replied. Jewel and Elwood were a power couple, forces to reckon with. While Jewel openly disapproved of her husband and son’s lifestyle, she had learned to live with it, and she made sure that the MC was looked after with a feminine touch. Elwood might have been our leader, and as tough as they came, but he was putty in the hands of his woman.

He turned to me now, blaming me for eight kids living in his house. For putting him in this position.

“I can take them,” I suggested because ultimately, this mission was mine and I should have been responsible for their upkeep. Elwood waved his hand in the air and grunted.

“Jewel won’t let me live this down if I take those kids away from her care. Besides, where are you going to fit eight kids in that tiny place of yours?” he asked and a few of my brothers laughed around me. I wasn’t joking. I would have found a way if it came to that. I wasn’t a man to shirk responsibility when it arose.

  Elwood’s gaze landed o
n Valentina again, who was standing beside me, half shielded by my body now.

“And who is this?” he asked, and I could sense the deathly silence around us. It was the question that was on everyone’s mind. Including Commando’s, even though he hadn’t asked me directly.

“This is Valentina Luis, her father is Romero, the former leader of the Muerte Viviente,” I replied and watched as Elwood’s brows furrowed in confusion.

“You mean the same fuckers who got the Black Skulls involved in the fighting ring business?” he growled, turning his rage to Valentina now. I said nothing but only tipped my head once in response.

“The same fuckers who I had to rescue you from ten years ago?” Elwood continued in the same barking voice, and now he stood up from the stool. I could see him taking slow, dangerous steps towards Valentina. His mouth was scrunched angrily; he was breathing fire from his nose. The Muerte Viviente had been a pain in the ass for him for a long time, and now he had the daughter of their leader in front of him.

I didn’t want to fight Elwood, but if he laid a finger on Valentina…

“Daughter of their former leader. My dad is old and sick now, he wasn’t involved with the Black Skulls and their fighting ring,” Valentina spoke up, and I jerked my head down to look at her. I could see the fear mixed with defiance in her eyes. She was staring Elwood down, holding her chin high up in the air.

Elwood stopped in his tracks; the room was still silent. He hadn’t expected Valentina to speak up like that. He grunted, as his eyes roamed over her, he was still sizing her up.

“And what are you doing here? Daughter of the former leader of Muerte Viviente,” he said, in a low hissing voice.

“They were holding her captive. Romero owes the Muerte Viviente money, which he hasn’t been able to pay back. They kidnapped Valentina as revenge,” I cut in, and Elwood turned his emblazoned eyes at me again. I could nearly feel the heat coming out of his nostrils now.

“And what is it to you?” he asked, and I clenched my jaw. He was going to make me confess my feelings and my past, in front of all my brothers here.

“She’s my friend. I knew her from when I used to work the fighting rings for her father,” I said, and Elwood and I locked gazes. He was searching my eyes, trying to figure out the truth behind my words. Then he snapped his head away to look at Valentina again.

“Friends huh?” he said, and he looked into her face, and she looked back. I was proudly surprised that she had the courage to stand up to Elwood, to look him in the eye. She knew exactly how he felt about her father and the rest of the gang that he used to belong to.

“And you’ve brought her here?” he asked me, and I shrugged my shoulders.

“I rescued her from her captors, and she needs to be kept safe,” I replied, and Elwood narrowed his eyes at me.

“And you want to take on the responsibility of keeping a Muerte Viviente girl safe?” he countered.

“Yes,” I replied, as authoritatively as I could. It would be within the MC code and within Elwood’s power to refuse Valentina’s presence here, on Rogue Rebels territory.

Elwood grunted, then turned from us and walked back to his stool.

“You’re taking too many risks that are unlike you, King,” he said and reached for his can of beer that was resting on the bar counter all this while. He took a swig of it, and when he was done, he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. “It’s how we turn into men,” he added, and I stared back at him.

Had he permitted me to give Valentina the MC’s protection?

“She can’t stay with you. They’ve seen you rescuing her, they’re going to come after you,” Elwood continued, and I looked at Valentina, whose eyes seemed diffused. I could see that she didn’t want to stay anywhere else, but with me. Elwood was right though.

“I’ll find somewhere for her to stay,” I said, and he tipped his head to me.

“And let’s make sure that those motherfucking Black Skulls know exactly what they’re in for. Using kids for fight clubs is not going to go unpunished,” he cried out loud, and a huge cheer flew around the room. The MC was still bloodthirsty. Our business wasn’t finished yet.

I met Valentina’s eyes and a weak smile formed on her face. She knew I had meant it when I told her that I was going to keep her safe. Before we walked away from Elwood, he stopped us in our tracks.

“I’ve always been curious. What the fuck does Muerte Viviente mean? Something Spanish?” Elwood was speaking to Valentina directly. She smiled, as she answered him.

  “Living Death,” she said.

  Chapter 8

  Valentina

“Where are we going to go?” I asked Jesus as we walked out of the bar that was bustling with noise now. My first experience of Church had been exhilarating. One moment I was trembling with fear and nervousness, and in the next, I had gathered up courage out of nowhere to hold a conversation with the leader of the Rogue Rebels. A man I knew Papi used to despise.

“I don’t know, I’ll figure it out,” Jesus said as I followed him out to his Harley.

“They call you King?” I asked him, and he turned to me with a half-grin and then shrugged his shoulders.

“Yeah. Nobody has called me by my name in years. It sounds strange coming from you,” he said, and we stared into each other’s eyes. It was still hard to imagine, that after all these years, here we were, both grown-ups, talking to each other. We had just had sex. He had been inside me.

The sound of footsteps behind me interrupted us and Jesus looked up at the muscular, tall man who was walking towards us now.

“I just spoke to Moira,” the man said.

“Yeah?” Jesus replied as I swung my face expectantly between the two of them.

“She’s willing to house Valentina for a while, till things settle down,” he said, and the two men shook hands.

“Thanks, brother,” Jesus said, and the man shrugged his shoulders casually.

“I’m Commando, by the way,” he turned to me next and gave me his hand.

“I’m Valentina,” I said, shaking it and he grinned. Then he looked at Jesus again and was gone.

“Who is Moira?” I asked him, while we walked over to his Harley.

“Commando’s sister. She doesn’t actually live here anymore. Commando just got married, and she came down for the wedding, and she’s still here. I’ll take you to her place. Commando is right, you’ll be safe there,” Jesus told me as he helped me up on his bike.

When I wrapped my arms around his waist, I did feel safe. There was nowhere I could feel safer than with him. Ten years later, and he was still the only person I could depend on.

Moira was pretty and smiled kindly at us when she let us into her apartment.

“It’s been a long time, King. And you must be Valentina, King’s friend,” Moira said as she held the door open for us. I watched as she and Jesus hugged and I’d noticed the way she had said the word “friend.” Everyone knew that there was more to us than that.

“I’m sorry for imposing on you like this,” I said to Moira, who ushered us into her living room. She waved her hand in the air.

“Don’t be silly. I know exactly how it feels to want to get away from the MC world. That’s exactly why I left,” she said, placing her hands on her hips. “Besides, my brother seems to think that the safest place for you to be would be here. I hope that’s true,” she added and led us towards one of the two bedrooms in the back of the apartment.

“Thanks, Moira,” Jesus told her, and she hugged him again.

“I would say to you to take care of yourself, but I know you’re already doing that,” Moira said with a broad beaming smile, and I entered the room and immediately felt at home.

“I’m going out for a few drinks, Valentina, you should settle in. Feel free to raid my closet for clothes or any other stuff that you need. You should feel entirely comfortable here,” she added, while she was already half way out of the door.

  “Thank you
,” I called after her, but she had shut the bedroom door behind her.

“She seems lovely,” I told Jesus, who was staring at me again.

“Yeah, she’s a gem,” he replied, and I sat down on the bed with a thump. It was a springy mattress, and it made me bounce and smile. Jesus still looked worried, like he was still not at peace.

“Thank you too, Jesus…I haven’t actually thanked you for everything you’ve done and are doing,” I said, and he walked towards me. He had his hands thrust into the pockets of his leather jacket and was studying my face.

“You don’t have to thank me, Valentina. You might not know this, but you saved me when I was at my lowest. You gave me hope that things could be better,” he was speaking in a thick low voice while we stared at each other. I could see that he meant every word he was saying.

“Please don’t worry about me here, Jesus. I’ll be okay…your friends are right, I’ll be safe, you’ll be safest if I don’t live with you,” I said, and he stepped even closer to me.

I was sitting on the edge of the bed, and he was hovering over me, looking down at me with narrowed dark eyes.

“I don’t care what happens to me,” he grunted.

  “Okay…then don’t worry about me,” I said.

A few moments of silence passed between us, and I could hear him breathing heavily.

“You shouldn’t have come back, Valentina, now they won’t rest till they have you back,” he said, and I gulped. He had no idea how glad I was that I had come back. He didn’t know that I would have given anything to see him again. Nothing had changed in these ten years that we had spent apart. I was just as much in love with him now as I had been when we were nineteen.

“But I’m here now, and I’m safe, and you should be happy about rescuing all those kids from the fighting ring,” I told him, craning my neck to look up at him.

Jesus’ eyes were focused on my face. I could see that he was thinking something, trying to make up his mind about something.
