Fake It: A Sizzling Hot Pretend Romance Page 12

by Melissa Devenport

His harsh exhale pretty much said it all. She kept up the rhythm and he knew he wasn’t going to last long. He tried to pull away, but she held him fast. It was clear that she didn’t want him to. She wanted to finish what she’d started. Or rather, she wanted him to finish.

God, she was sexy as hell. Bold. Fearless. So damn beautiful. He worked her mouth hard, his hips flexing and pumping because he couldn’t control it any longer. She worked him harder, her lips tight, sucking, her tongue licking and swirling, her hand pumping him.

When he came it was a hard explosion. His hips bucked one last time, burying himself in her mouth. She swallowed as he pumped, lapping at him, until he was spent in her mouth. He was still fucking hard as a rock. God, he could probably go all damn night and still be hard. It had been a long time coming. A very long time.

“Fuck,” he groaned as he pulled out of her mouth. “Amy… god…” he couldn’t even form coherent words.

She had the nerve to actually grin. She licked her lips and this time it was her on the offensive. He was standing on the edge of the bed and she was kneeling, but she rose up and wrapped her hands around his neck. She kissed him hard, furiously, and he tasted the salty tang of himself on her tongue. His head spun. He literally felt like he might actually fall over.

He broke the kiss. She was already working his shirt off, over his head. He helped her the rest of the way, tossed it aside and ripped his jeans and boxers off the rest of the way. He stood in front of her, absolutely naked, hoping like hell that she wouldn’t laugh at him and call the whole thing off.

She didn’t. Her eyes studied him, raked over him hotly and the fresh wave of desire that twisted her features was a pretty damn fine compliment. She gripped his shoulders roughly and guided him down onto the bed, down on top of her. Amy’s hips rose up, her jeans grinding agonizingly against the sensitive skin of his dick. He let out a muffled oath because he fucking loved it. He loved every single thing she was doing.

He gripped her waist and spun her roughly, wanting her on top. There was nothing he wanted to see more than her glorious body, naked, working him, grinding on top of him.

“Undress,” he commanded roughly. “Fuck, I want to see you naked.”

She stared into his eyes for a second before she nodded. She backed off, stumbled to the edge of the bed and stood shakily. There was nothing sexy or slow about how she removed her clothes. She pretty much ripped them off and threw them to the side.

He was a little surprised to see that she was blushing when she turned back to face him.

“God, you’re- glorious,” he said huskily.

It was true. Heavy breasts with dark peaked nipples, flat stomach, gently rounded hips, long legs and a shapely ass… she was perfection. Smooth, flawless perfection.

“Since you’re already laid out there, do you mind if I get on top?”

She slayed him. Absolutely slayed him with no effort what so ever. His craving for her grew to carnal levels that he could barely control. He didn’t want to control it, but he didn’t want to hurt her either. What he wanted to do was flip her onto her back and ram his aching dick into that perfect, smooth, swollen pussy and thrust until they were both screaming and finally sated.

I’ll never be sated. Never. No, the ache for her, for her body, would never go away. He was pretty sure that even if he had her a hundred times a day, he’d still be rock hard and aching.

  “Yeah… condom- my jeans…”

She got the picture. She walked swiftly around the bed and bent to retrieve his pants, giving him a full view of her ass. God, he wanted to dig his fingers into her, spread her open and eat her pussy from behind.

He managed to stay flat on the bed. He closed his eyes and ground his teeth together hard. And then, a second later, her sweet hands were rolling the condom onto his dick. His eyes flew open and he nearly died when he watched her turn slowly, so that she was facing away from him.

That was the thing about Amy. She’d always somehow known just what to do to drive him absolutely fucking animal wild.

  Chapter 20

  Coming Apart

  Amy

She wanted to watch Sam come apart. She’d watched it when she was sucking him off and god, it was amazing. It was what she used to dream of, in her darkest fantasies, back before she’d tried to banish him from her mind for good. Back before she stopped allowing herself to think of him that way.

Sam let out a choked groan as she spread her legs and positioned herself over him. She liked the note of agony ripped from his throat. She shivered, as a wave of sensation ripped through her. She was dripping wet, aching, every single inch of her body pulsing with need. She leaned back, feline style, and was sure to give Sam a full show of her ass. She took his dick in her hand and slowly sunk down, but didn’t take him inside. She made sure he slid over her pussy, but not in.

He jerked violently beneath her and she liked the feeling of power that washed over her. It was mingled with her own craving, her own violent need to fit him inside of her and ride him, fuck him until they both saw stars.

“Christ, Amy, you’re going to make me waste this condom before I even get inside of you.”

She laughed softly. “I thought you said there were far more things we could do without them.”

He groaned. “Don’t. Don’t throw my words back at me. Not right now.”

She wiggled again, pushing his cock through her swollen folds, letting him get a good feel for all of her. Her juices glistened on the condom and she had the strangest craving to bend over and take him in her mouth again. She didn’t. She wanted the real thing, the real taste of him, hot and salty, sliding down her throat.

“Amy…” Sam hissed. “Please, for fuck’s sake, get me inside of you.”

“Not just yet,” she said coyly. She swiveled her hips, grinding against him hard. His cock hit her clit and her entire body vibrated again, trembling with the force of her need.

“I am going to fuck you so hard you won’t be able to walk tomorrow, I swear it,” Sam ground out.

“I’m looking forward to it. Really.”

He growled low in his throat and she very much enjoyed the feral, animal tone it had. She gyrated her hips again and once more. His hands came down hard on her hips as she rose up again. His fingers bit into the skin of her waist before one hand move down to cup her ass.

“If you don’t stop that, I am going to penetrate you in other ways. I will put a finger up that pretty ass of yours and fuck you until you scream.”

“Oh,” she said low and thick, a note of mockery in her tone. “Can you do that while I’m riding your dick?”

His hand tightened on her ass, his fingers biting in painfully. He brought one lower, his index finger, and skimmed over her asshole. She froze. She didn’t really think he’d take her up on it. She’d never found that to be overly sexy, but with Sam… he could touch her anywhere. Anywhere and she was sure she’d love it.

She decided he was serious and instead of calling him on his bluff, she stopped teasing him. When she rose up again, she gripped his cock in her hand and slowly guided him inside. She was so wet it wasn’t much of a slow motion at all. She sunk down, taking all of him, every thick inch. He stretched her, the twinge of pain utterly delicious. She moaned and rocked forward before she ground back, letting him hit every single spot.

Sam, she knew, tried very hard not to move. She could feel his legs straining beneath her, the muscles tense and shaky.

“I want to be sore,” she whimpered. “I want to be so sore tomorrow, that it’s the first thing I feel when I wake up.”

“The first thing you’ll feel when you wake up is me inside of you,” Sam ground out.

He was done with trying to be still. She rose up and his hands on her hips slammed her down hard. His hips bucked upwards with hers as they ground together. She rode him hard and he fucked her just as hard from below. She lifted her arms above her head, gathering up her own hair and stretching out. Her nipples pointed straight out, hard a
nd straining as she worked him, gyrating her hips madly.

She finally thought to look down, to look between her legs and watch his cock as it slid in and out of her pussy. She was already shaking, already on fire, already so close to the edge. Seeing him part her, slick and glistening with her juices… it was all she needed to push her right over the edge. She bucked wildly and screamed his name into the empty room.

He thrust hard, like a madman beneath her and the tight spasms of her own body tore his climax from him. He came with her, moaning wildly, hands digging in painfully, cock slamming in and out of her until he thrust once more and was still. She trembled on top of him, her world spinning, trying to catch her breath, trying to blink away the black spots that were floating in front of her eyes.

She breathed out and in, out and in, trying to calm her racing heart and all the wild sensations that had everything to do with Sam.

Amy moved slowly. She turned to face Sam, straddling him the opposite way. His cock pressed into her belly, still hard. Her own body trembled in response. Seeing the wonder in his eyes did something to her insides. Her heart swelled with emotion- emotion that felt very much like love. She’d doubted in the past, but it felt real now. Real now that he was there with her, now that they’d finally spoken all the words out loud that they’d held inside for so many years. Well, maybe not all, but enough. The rest would come later.

“Wow,” she breathed. “We were missing out all those years. If I didn’t regret it before, I really regret leaving now.”

Sam grinned lazily up at her. “Yup. That’s right.” His hands curled around her waist and he brought her in for a hard kiss. He pulled away a minute later. His hips rose up, flexing against hers. “I’m going to make sure that you never, ever want to leave again.”

She laughed softly, the sound filling up the room. She couldn’t remember a time when she’d ever been happier or ever felt absolutely free.

“Good. That’s a challenge I’m more than up for.”

Sam’s hand tangled in her hair and he brought her mouth to his for another passionate kiss that claimed her and let her claim in turn. She was done running. Done leaving. For the first time, really, ever, she was looking forward to a future that felt pretty damn near perfect.

  Epilogue

  Not One Single Thing

  Sam

If someone would have asked him if he’d still be happy a few years later, he couldn’t have said. But he would have given them the honest answer- that he really, really hoped so.

It turned out that a few years was all it took for him and Amy to realize that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with each other. They were finally engaged for real. He’d grown enough good sense to ask and she’d agreed with him. They weren’t going to make the same mistakes they’d made when they were teens. They weren’t letting each other go. Poor girl. It looked like she was going to be stuck with him for good.

Sam followed his nose up to the apartment. They’d invited both their parents over for dinner to celebrate their engagement. It was small, private, sweet, and surrounded by Amy’s paintings. It was just about the best day he could have imagined.

“How is that ham coming along?” Sam went straight into the kitchen.

Amy was bent over the open oven, inspecting the fragrant meat inside the roaster. “Good, I think. Not burnt. Not underdone. The potatoes are actually ready.” She turned to look at him. “Lord, I’m shit at this. I hate cooking.”

“I know. Salads and sandwiches are okay, but I’m proud of you for trying this for our families. I think everyone is going to be impressed.”

“Me most of all.” Amy let out a relieved sigh. She lifted the heavy roaster and placed it on the stove top in front of the large pot of potatoes and another that probably contained some unknown vegetable. He couldn’t tell from the smell. “I surprised myself today. I didn’t think I could do it.”

“Everyone is set up downstairs. I think it’s nice that we decided to put the table in the gallery.”

“You don’t think it looks funny right in the middle of everything?”

“Nope. I think it’s great. And even if it did, it’s just our families there to see it. Everyone is rooting for us. My parents. Your parents.”

“I can’t believe how good my mom is doing. She’s better than any of us expected.”

“Your mom just keeps smiling away. It’s awesome that she still visits every week.”

“It’s the highlight of my mom’s week. Although, I think she’s found that having a nurse is alright after all.”

“She loves Sandra. She’s like a friend more than she is a nurse.”

“Dad really appreciates the help. I think they were actually relieved to get rid of the house. It was just one less stress.” Amy paused. “You know, I don’t know I I’ve ever thanked you for doing all that for me, dealing with the house and helping me find a nurse.”

  “Yes you did.”

“Not in those words though. I’ve never done a proper thank you.”

“I don’t need a proper thank you. I knew what you meant.”

“I hope so.” Amy left the roaster and the stove. She walked over to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. “You’re the best thing that ever happened to me, Sam. I’m really glad you walked through that door two years ago.”

“I’m really glad that someone told me to man up and grow a set and make sure you didn’t disappear out of my life again.”

“Jay and Rone. They’re the best. Not as good as Heather and Laya, but hey…”

“I’m glad that you have them as friends now. That you have real friends.”

“And that when my real fiancé moved here, magically, everyone just seemed to leave me alone. I’m okay with not doing any stupid parties or visits anymore.”

“And you still have just as much work. Imagine that.”

“Thanks to a really good marketer.”

“Best investment ever.” Sam flashed her a huge grin. “See, I told you it would all work out.”

“That’s not exactly what you said.” She rolled her eyes, but couldn’t help giggle. “We didn’t know if any of this would work out.”

“I’m glad that it did. I was pretty scared at first.”

  “Me too.”

“But everything is good. We have the support of our families, our friends, real friends. I live in a pretty sweet gallery with a super cool chick who is incredibly talented and for some reason, has agreed to be my wife.”

“I can’t imagine, since you seem to have so few redeeming qualities.” Amy laughed again. It started out as another silly, playful, sarcastic giggle, but quickly turned into a full belly laugh that he returned. They laughed until they were wiping away tears. Finally Amy stepped back. “I better get this food on the table before people start eating their own fists.”

“Or each other’s fists. I think I’d choose that first.”

“Or each other’s fists,” Amy agreed. “Gross.”

  “You brought it up.”

  “I guess I did.”

“I’m glad that my wife to be has such a sense of humor. It’s one of the sexiest qualities about you.”

“Really. I thought all this time you were an ass man.”

He grinned. “Okay, the second sexiest quality.”

“You once said I had no sense of humor.”

“Maybe you learned it after you met me. Maybe I bring out the best in you.”

“Maybe you do.” Amy admitted. “I’d hope so. We’d make a pretty shitty pair if you brought out the worst.”

He grinned down at her, knowing full well that he looked like one of those love sick fools he couldn’t stand. And he didn’t care one bit. “I’m very, very happy, Amy. And that is thanks to you.”

“You know how to make yourself happy…” she tried to joke, but he shook his head, cutting her off.

“I might know how to fulfill myself, with work and with hobbies and with friends, but you- it’s you who makes me happy. I
don’t know what I’d be or where I’d be without you.”

“Probably still pulling fourteen hour shifts at work.”

  “Probably.”

“Still going home to your parent’s house every single weekend for your mom’s cooking. Just without me.”

“You’re right. It’s much better with you.”

Amy’s smile lit up the entire room. “Everything is much better when we are together. I wouldn’t change anything. Not one single thing.”

“No?” He joked. “There must be one thing that you can’t stand about me.”

“There are lots of things,” she smirked. “Tons.”

“Let’s not get carried away here!”

“You didn’t let me finish,” she corrected with a smile. “I was going to say there are lots of things I can’t stand about you, but I wouldn’t change a thing. Nothing. I am really excited to marry you.”

“It’s a fortunate thing I got around to asking.”

“Yes.” She stood on her tiptoes and planted a too chaste kiss on his lips before turning back to the ham. She winked at him a second later. “Or we wouldn’t be having this dinner and I wouldn’t have proved to myself that I could indeed cook a ham.”

“So that’s what I had to do to get a good home cooked meal out of you. Put a ring on your finger?”

  “Apparently.”

“I love you, Amy.” He was done with joking and her smile changed from one that was filled with humor and sarcasm to one that conveyed much deeper emotion. Her eyes said it all.

She loved him too. More than he could ever imagine. He didn’t know how he’d gotten so damn lucky, but he knew one thing. Amy was right. There was nothing he’d change about it. Not one single thing.
