East nodded.
“You asked me to take my condom off.”
“I didn’t want there to be any parts of you that I didn’t have.” She looked at him over her shoulder again. “I trusted you.”
Killian kissed her lips sloppily before gripping her waist harder. “You can always trust me. I promise I’ll never hurt you again.”
“You wore a condom with her?”
“Fuck yeah.” Killian grabbed her neck from behind. “I don’t wear one with you because your pussy is mine. I don’t have to protect me from me, you feel me?”
East nodded as her eyes watered.
Killian kissed her. “Don’t cry, baby. I’m sorry.”
“I know.”
“I won’t do no shit like that ever again. You believe me?”
Again, she nodded but with more tears.
“Tell me about it, tell me what’s making you cry.”
She sniffed and shook her head from side to side. Killian felt so good but so bad at the same time. He knew her tears were a sign of the pain she felt from his sex with Sheena. He was sure it wouldn’t go away that fast, but he knew one thing, he would never stop trying. He’d do whatever she needed to ensure her security again.
“It hurts.” She moaned before allowing her head to fall forward.
She sniffed and threw it back to get their groove back going. Killian matched her thrusts, pushing as deep and hard as he could. She was crying, but so was her body. It was leaking like a broken faucet on his dick.
“What you want me to do? Tell me, and I’ll do it.”
“Nothing. Just love me.”
“Been doing that and won’t stop.”
Killian stroked her slower and slower until they were both moaning. With heavy breathing and sticky sheets, their climax came soon after. Killian didn’t even bother to move. He lay flat down on top of her with his dick still out. Her hand stroked the top of his head until he pulled away. They got dressed quietly, her wincing and grabbing her stomach or back every so often.
When they were both dressed and ready, he grabbed her and hugged her. “You gon’ be mad at me for a long time?”
East looked away and shook her head. “I’m not mad no more.”
“Why?”
“Because I’d rather be happy. We’ll figure this out.”
Killian kissed her nose and mouth before grabbing her things from the window and pulling her behind him.
“You gave that nurse your food, so we could have sex?”
Killian looked down at her like she was crazy. “You call what we just did back there, sex?” He chuckled. “Baby, that was lovemaking at its finest. Real monumental shit. Sex ain’t got nothing on what we just did.”
East was giggling and hiding her face in his arm just as they passed the nurses station. Killian nodded his head toward the room.
“Appreciate that.”
“I’m glad I could help.” She smiled as he and East passed by her.
East was blushing uncontrollably from the stuff he was telling her when he pushed the door to Yeshi’s room open. He’d honestly thought the women would be gone by the time he got back, but he was wrong. They were still there and making small talk amongst themselves. Their eyes came to Killian and East as they coolly strolled in.
“I thought y’all were going to eat,” one of the girls said, apparently noticing the bag full of food dangling from East’s hand.
Though it was none of her business, Killian answered her anyway. “We did. I just decided to eat something else.” He winked at East, and she held her head down. “It was tasty than a muthafucka too.”
The women all smiled and whispered things to each other. East, on the other hand, owned her stuff. He was hers, and she was proud of it. The smile on her face told him so.
“There’s been no change since you all left.”
Killian nodded before looking Yeshi over. He was still knocked out sleep with no signs of waking up. His condition was starting to weigh heavily on Killian because it was time for him to go home. He’d been trying to think of all kinds of things he could do to make Yeshi’s hospital stay easier on him, and after bringing him to Georgia, he was stumped.
He didn’t have the free time to wait at his bedside morning, noon, and night, but he didn’t want him to wake up, and no one was there either. It was all a headache that he wished he could pop some pain pills and solve.
“Do either one of y’all know why this might have happened?” Killian looked at the women.
“He got fired the same day it happened, so maybe that was it.”
“The fuck? Why?”
The same girl who had been talking all day spoke for them all. “He’s gotten caught drunk on too many cameras, and the boss said it was a bad look.”
Killian felt that statement in his heart. He’d known Yehsi had a problem; he just hadn’t known it was that bad.
“Damn.”
“I know right,” she answered.
When Killian could no longer stand, he took a seat next to East and made himself comfortable. The women left a short while later, leaving him and East alone again.
“It’s crazy, you know? I always thought this nigga had it all. Light skinned, paid, handsome, ladies love him and shit, but clearly none of that stuff matters.”
“Sure, it doesn’t. Everything you just said is so superficial. None of that is important if you’re not happy on the inside.”
Killian took a deep breath. All his life, he’d been fooling himself into thinking that as long as you looked good on the outside, then you would be happy on the inside. He’d learned long ago that was a lie. No matter how many clothes he bought, how successful he was, how much money he made, none of it outshined the way he felt when he was rejected by women, heard someone making snide remarks about his looks, or just the way he felt hanging around all of his boys, and they were pretty, yellow niggas who had the same shit he had.
East pulled his ear. “Why you so quiet?”
“I don’t know,” he lied. “I think I want you to meet my mama.”
East snickered. “Where did that come from?”
Killian sat up so he could see her face. “I don’t know. You want to meet her?” He waited for her to answer.
Never in all his years had he let anyone outside of Sheena meet his mother. She was his heart, and he didn’t allow anybody near her who had toxic tendencies. East was his boo, though. He was almost desperate for her to meet her. He waited anxiously for her to answer him. Even looking away so he couldn’t see her face as she thought.
“Sure, I’ll meet her. Where is she?”
“She lives in Columbus. I’m going to take you when we get back.”
“I get to meet your mama? I must be official for real now.”
“That five-thousand-dollar ring should have told you that.”
East held her hand out in front of her and looked at it. It was sparkling and shining from where Killian was sitting, so he was sure it was just as bright to her.
“At first it did, but then I figured you just bought it because you knew you had just cheated.” Her eyes cut to him before going back to her ring. “I’m still undecided about that theory, but I’ll just assume you bought it because you love me.”
“Good, because that’s why.” Killian lay back on the sofa and rested his head in her lap.
The entire time he stared up in her pretty face, all he could think about was why in the world did she want him. Out of all the men he was sure she could have, she was really starting to make him feel like she actually wanted him. Not his money, not his clothes or career, but him. Why? Killian took his hat off and set it on the floor next to them then tried to free his mind.
“East, why you with me?”
“What you mean?” She looked down at him. Her pretty eyes and nose directly in his line of vision. Further edging his thoughts.
“I mean, you’re fucking gorgeous. Why do you want me? You’re not afraid of what people will think when they see us tog
ether, or you introduce me as your husband?”
Her calm expression was rapidly replaced with a scowl. “Hell no. I don’t care what people think. Besides, what’s wrong with you? Why would I be embarrassed to be with you or have you as my husband? I ain’t nobody.”
“Come on now, East. Don’t act like you don’t see how I look. I mean, I be dressing, and I got good stuff going on, but that don’t mean nothing.”
East looked confused as hell as she listened to him. “Killian, for real. I don’t know what you’re talking about. I hear you saying how you look and stuff like that, but there’s nothing wrong with you. You look perfect to me.”
Killian’s mouth twisted to the side, so she could see that he didn’t believe her. When she didn’t crack a smile, he did.
“See, this is why I married you. You actually think I’m cute.”
“You are.”
“Says who? You and my mama?”
“Who the fuck else needs to say it?” East pushed his head from her lap. “Why you do you think there’s something wrong with the way you look?”
“Because it is. All y’all women love light skinned niggas, and don’t act like you don’t.”
“I don’t,” she stated all too quickly.
“Why not?”
“Because I fucking don’t. Even if I did, and you walked in the room, it would be over with for any man except you, and that’s real. The first time you walked into Jay’s house, I wanted to fuck you on sight. At first, I thought it was because I’m somewhat of a reformed hoe, but nope. It was you. I feel like a li’l hot freak every time you come around. It’s embarrassing.”
Killian held his head down to hide his blushing.
“I’m for real. That’s why I was so mean to you. I wanted you to see me and like me too, and when you didn’t, it pissed me off.”
Killian chuckled at the memory. That night had been one of his favorites and still was.
“When you came and sat by me, then had sex with me, it was a done deal. You were mine, and I was ready to stab all bitches connected to you, including your mama if she ever decided to try me.”
Killian felt so good on the inside as he listened to her talk about him. She really sounded genuine, and that was a first. No woman that he’d ever encountered spoke like that about him, and he’d been around plenty. Some who even claimed to love him, like Sheena.
“You’d stab my mama?”
East tooted her lips up and nodded her head at him. “Without blinking.”
Killian grabbed her wrist and pulled her to him. She straddled his lap. “You crazy for real.”
“Only about you.” She kissed his lips. “I can tell that you need me to heal you, so I will.”
“Heal me?”
“Yes. You’ve been hurt too bad in the past, and it obviously has you confused and hating yourself for nothing because I fucking love you, and I think you’re the most beautiful man in the world. Naked as fuck, I just love you.”
East sat on his lap with her arms around his waist. They stared at each other for a while until he pulled her to him and allowed her head to rest on his shoulder. It was crazy how even with her saying the right things and having shown him her truest feelings in the past, he still had a hard time believing her. He wouldn’t tell her, though.
She was just like the rest of the people in his life. Quick to try and make him feel good about himself when he’d come to terms with his problems. He was good with them. No longer in denial, not much really bothered him anymore. Like Gates rapped about, he’d been covering his insecurities with designer fashions for years with no plans of changing it. But East, fucking East. Her naked comment hadn’t gone over his head. She loved him for who he was, he knew that, and it still felt unreal.
“Get out of your head, handsome, and come back to me.”
Killian pecked the top of her head. “I’m here. You stuck with me.”
“No other place I’d rather be.” East scooted closer to him and snuggled against his chest.
With his girl in his arms, Killian lay back on the sofa and allowed himself to drift off. He was long overdue for a nap, and what better time to take it than after good sex and some sweet loving?
12.I’ll Do Anything You Say Because You’re the Boss
The loud clinking of the weights sounded out throughout the gym as the smell of sweat, musk, and air freshener permeated the air the gym. It was just after lunch, and the Knockout was in full swing. Lunch hour had been one of the busiest times of the day since they’d opened, and Killian was grateful for it. With his employees and various customers moving around the building, Killian was free to show favoritism to his newest addition to the gym.
The black spandex shorts and royal blue trainer shirt had never looked so good. East’s long, toned legs flexed every time she went down into a squat position. It was her second week on the job, and though she’d come kicking and screaming, he’d gotten her there. Not only did his customers love East, but his staff couldn’t get enough of her. Especially Logan. If she told him how perfect East was one more time, he was going to set up a threesome and let East fuck her while he watched.
“Make sure to squeeze when you come up,” East said over her shoulder just as she rose back up from a squat. “Killian, get your ass away from me.” Her smile was past radiant as he stared at her through the mirror in front of them.
All around the gym in certain areas, the gym wall was lined with mirrors so that his clients could watch themselves work out, but that day, and every day since she’d been working there, they’d been working to Killian’s advantage. Being that he didn’t want to make it obvious that he was gawking at her pretty much every single minute of the day, he used the mirror to catch glances at her while she worked.
She was always with someone, whether male or female, and he would spend the entire session watching her. There was so much style and grace in the way she interacted with people. With occasional laughter and an excessive amount of motivation, and praises, her method of training had quickly become a Knockout favorite.
“Why I got to get away from you?” Killian took another step forward and pressed his midsection into her butt so that she couldn’t move.
Well, she could, but it would cause her to rub her butt up and down his legs and dick a few times. Something he had absolutely no problem with. He wore a mischievous smile to match her bashful one. The way she warmed up to him was always what he needed to keep his day going. Whether he wanted to believe it or not, the way she reacted to him and his words or presence at any given moment spoke of her love for him.
Killian grabbed both sides of the machine she was using and put his face into her neck. He inhaled before kissing her there.
“You know something?”
“Tell me.”
Unable to control them, his arms found her waist and made themselves at home. “Even if you told me out of your mouth that you didn’t love me, your body would prove you wrong.”
East took a step back from the bar so that she was pressed further into his embrace. “Give me one second, ma’am. My husband doesn’t know how to leave me alone for five seconds at a time.”
The client that East had been working with smiled and waved her hand dismissively. “That’s so sweet. Enjoy it while you’re young, honey. That type of affection doesn’t last forever.”
“As long as she’s my wife, it will.” Killian was smiling so hard at the lady that she had no choice but to smile back.
Once East spun around and pulled Killian away from where they had been, she led them to the small locker room at the back of the building. It was used mostly by the employees, but they would still sometimes find customers in there. Killian watched the way her thighs bulged at the bottom of her shorts with every step she took.
“Listen, you have to let me work,” East said just before attacking his mouth. “This is why I wasn’t going to work here. You don’t know how to focus.” Her arms were around his neck and holding him close to her.

p; Killian loved her smell. It was so sweet, even when mixed with perspiration. The small hairs around the edges of her ponytail lay down around her forehead while small droplets of sweat rolled down the front of her neck.
“I can focus. I just can’t focus when you wear stuff like this.”
East smiled. “This is your uniform, Kill. What else you want me to put on?”
Killian shrugged. “It doesn’t matter for real. I’ma want to fuck on you regardless.”
“You need help.”
Killian picked her up and walked further into the corner, pressing her back into the wall. “No, I need you.”
“You want to go to your office?”
“You a fast ass li’l woman.”
East was always with it. If he wanted sex, she wanted sex. That had been a blessing and a curse because they’d been fucking like rabbits, which kept her in a better mood and less bothered by Sheena, but it also put them in compromising positions like the one they were in at that moment.
“If I remember correctly, you came messing with me.”
“See, what had happened was. I was headed to get me a quick workout in while I had some time, but then I walked past you doing squats, and my conscience just wouldn’t let me keep going.”
“Your conscience, huh?”
“Yep. I felt so bad because I was like what kind of husband would just walk past his wife like that when he can clearly hear her body calling for him? That would be grounds for a divorce in my book.”
When East’s body shook in his arms from her laughter, he squeezed her tighter as he joined in on her laughter. They were in the middle of their lover’s play when Killian stopped and looked at her with a serious face.
“You want kids?”
“Hell no. Where that come from?”
“I was just asking, but why you say no like that?”
“I don’t know. I just don’t want any right now.”
“But, you will, just not right now?”
East was quiet but eventually nodded. “You must want to give me one?”
“Shit, I’m surprised I haven’t already given you one as much as I be letting off with no protection.”
