Tied Up in Tinsel Page 10

by Amber Skyze

It’d been too long since he felt like he belonged anywhere, and now Patience and Nancy were welcoming him into their family nest on a special day.

“I’m nervous,” he confessed as she turned the doorknob.

Patience froze and turned to him. “Really?”

“I know it sounds crazy, but yeah. I know Nancy and Kyle very well, but it seems a bit, I don’t know, weird to be here today.”

  “It’ll be fine. I swear.”

She’d been right. Nancy and Kyle didn’t act like he’d been intruding. He was welcomed with opened arms, huge hugs, and lots of handshakes. Overall, he had a fabulous day with Patience and her family.

  Chapter Nine

“So do you have something special planned for tonight?” Nancy asked Patience yet again.

“I’ve told you. We’re having a quiet night at my house. We’ll watch the ball drop, and then off to bed.”

“Such an exciting life you two lead.”

“I like it simple. You of all people should know that. Besides, what are you doing?” The question was a bit mean-spirited. Nancy had no one to spend New Year’s Eve with now that Gary was deployed. If all went well, he should be home in time for Valentine’s Day.

  “Nice, Patience. Real classy.”

“Sorry. I’m trying to make a point, though. It doesn’t have to be all glam and glitter. A nice meal at home with someone you love can be perfect. Will you and Kyle be watching the ball drop?”

“If I can tear him away from that damn game. He loves it. I’m starting to wonder if I made a mistake in requesting it for him.”

Patience would give a resounding no.

“I, for one, am glad you wanted it from me.”

“Yeah, well, it’s only because you met William. Not that you wouldn’t have met him eventually. He is Kyle’s manny.”

“True, but what are the chances that I’d have given him the opportunity of a date, being the manny?”

  “Slim.”

The both laughed. It wasn’t because of his job title; it was because of whom he was taking care of. Now it didn’t matter. They were in love, and hopefully things would work out for them.

“Is he still there with Kyle?”

“No, he dropped him off earlier. Said he had to pick up a few things at the market for your dinner tonight. I can’t believe he’s cooking for you.”

“I know, but I’m thrilled. I wonder what we’ll have.”

  “I’m sure it’ll be delicious.”

“Well, I better run. Happy New Year, Sis. I love you.”

“Love you too, Patience. Have a fun night.”

The two hung up, and Patience went back to her bedroom, wondering how she should dress for the evening. It eluded her, so she decided it best to call William and see how he dressed.

“Hello.” He sounded out of breath.

“Hey, what time are you arriving?”

“In an hour or so. Why?”

“Just wondering. I have to shower and dress. I know this might sound silly, but what are you wearing?”

“Actually I’m wearing a pair of black pants and a burgundy-striped shirt. I thought it would be nice to get a little dressed up for the evening.”

“Oh.” Jeans and a T-shirt would not work for what he had planned.

“If you aren’t comfortable with that attire, I can change before I head over.”

“No. That works.” She detected a hint of disappointment and didn’t want him to feel slighted. She’d dress with a cute black dress or maybe her red one. Either way she wouldn’t let him down.

“Okay, well, I gotta run. I’ll see you in an hour or so.”

“Perfect. I’ll be ready.” She pressed the Off button and tossed the cell on the bed. Why not get dressed up for New Year’s Eve? They didn’t have to go out to get all dressed up. They could celebrate in style, right there in her house.

Patience entered her closet to find her dress. She slid the clothes along the metal rod, looking at each dress with new interest. What would look the sexiest? She wanted to be dressed as well as him. When she came across the black slinky number with gold sequins along the neckline, she knew it was the one. She’d bought the dress for a wedding last summer and barely wore it that evening. The wedding had been a dud, so she left early. Tonight would be exactly the occasion to wear it.

“Sweet. He’ll love this.” She brought the dress down from the closet and swirled around her bedroom. They could dance later too. She’d love to twirl around in his strong arms, swaying to the music.

“Tonight is going to be the best.”

Elated, she hung the dress over the door and went to take a shower. She didn’t think it was possible to be this happy. They had their ups and downs while figuring out the relationship, but she felt they were finally in a good place.

She ran the water, while humming a tune. As she stripped out of her clothes, she smiled thinking about their night together and the sex they’d have after dinner.

She dipped her foot into the water to test the temperature. It was hot, just the way she liked it. There was nothing better than a steaming-hot shower to erase any tensions one might have, not that she had any tensions at the moment.

She stepped under the jets and let the streams of hot water cascade over her skin. Her body warmed. She draped her long hair under the water and ran her fingers through it to get it wet. Once it was wet, she grabbed the shampoo and lathered her hair. When she was rinsing she thought she heard a noise outside the bathroom door.

Her heart picked up speed. William wasn’t due for a while. She peeked around the shower curtain but didn’t see anything.

  “Hello,” she called out.

What the fuck am I thinking? If it’s a burglar, do I really think they’ll answer? Sure, they’ll say, “Hey, what’s up? I’m just here to rob you.” No, she was being foolish calling out.

She held her breath and listened for another sound. When she didn’t hear anything, she resumed her shower, chalking the noise up to the wind.

Adding conditioner to her hair, she raked her fingers through the strands. She rinsed and washed her body quickly. She’d spent too much time in the shower. She’d have to rush to get her hair dried and styled before William showed up. She grabbed the faucet and turned off the water. She reached around the shower curtain for her towel. When she gripped the cotton in her hands, a hand wrapped around her wrist and pulled her arm.

  She screamed.

“Shut up,” the angry voice said.

She shook. It wasn’t William. When she’d felt the hand, she’d thought for sure William was there and making her fantasy come true, but when she heard that voice she knew better. It sounded evil, creepy, and downright scary.

She fought for her arm, but she was trapped. She had nowhere to run. She’d have to do her best to ward off her attacker and pray William showed up early for the date.

“Who are you, and what do you want?”

Another hand came around and grabbed her hair.

  She yelled. It hurt.

“Get out of the shower, and I won’t hurt you.”

Wet, naked, and fearing for her life, Patience shivered. This couldn’t be happening to her. She’d dreamed this as a fantasy, and now some stranger was going to rape her. This didn’t excite her. It scared the shit out of her.

“I’ll do whatever you want if you just let me get out and get a towel. Please, I’m not dressed, and it’s freezing in here.”

“Get out,” he said, releasing her.

She scrambled to get out of the shower, almost slipping. She quickly looked at the masked stranger. She looked for his eyes. She needed to see his eyes but couldn’t make them out behind the black mask. He had sunglasses on.

  How strange.

When she glanced at the towel rack, she noticed a large knife sitting on the bathroom sink.

She swallowed. This was not funny. There was no way this guy was going to rape her. She wouldn’t allow it. If she had to wrestle him for the knif
e, she would. She’d be damned if she allowed some man to take something so precious from her.

“I have money,” she lied. “I have lots in my purse. If you want money, I’ll give it to you. Just take it and go.”

  He shook his head.

“What do you want?” Fear filled her.

He picked up the knife and pointed the blade at her pussy.

She shook her head and attempted to move backward.

  “You’re not going anywhere.”

He closed the distance between them and forced her to move in the other direction. She edged closer to the sink, feeling around for something, anything to hit him over the head. She found nothing.

Fuck, where was a weapon when she needed one?

  “Turn around,” he instructed.

No, she couldn’t. If she turned around, he could stab her in the back, and she’d never see it coming. If he was going to kill her, she would do her best to fight him off.

  “Now,” he demanded.

William, where are you? Please come and save me. I’ll never harass you about my fantasy again. This was a foolish idea. How could she think this would be fun?

“I can’t,” she said, her voice shaky.

  “Excuse me?”

Yes, she was being defiant. Maybe it was stupid, but she didn’t care. She refused to turn her back and risk being killed.

“I’m sorry. I’m not willing to turn my back on you.”

“Very brave woman. You know I could kill you quickly with one swift move.”

She gulped. Yes, she was well aware of his ability to end her life if he so chose. She just prayed he didn’t want her dead.

“I can’t identify you. You can leave now, and no one will ever know you were here.”

  “What fun would that be?”

He thought this was fun? What a sick man he was.

“Please, I’m begging you. My boyfriend is due to arrive any minute. He’ll see you, and that wouldn’t be a good thing. Please just go before he shows up.”

“I’m not leaving, and I’m certainly not worried about William.”

How did he know William’s name?

“Who are you?” She stepped closer. It had to be someone she knew. She reached for the mask, but he grabbed her wrist.

He threw the knife on the floor. It clinked and thudded.

The man pulled her arm around her back and held it.

“I want you bent over the sink and your legs spread. I’m going to fuck that sexy pussy of yours, just like you want it.”

Fear turned to elation when she realized it was William. Somehow he’d disguised his voice, but now when he spoke, she knew it was him.

“What if I don’t want to?” she challenged.

“Then I’ll spank that pretty little ass of yours until you submit.”

She wouldn’t refuse. This was what she’d been waiting for. This was what she’d hoped he’d give her. For a moment there she had second thoughts about wanting it as a fantasy when she thought it was the real deal, but now that she knew it was all staged, she wanted it. Though when all was said and done, she would give him a piece of her mind for scaring her senseless. There’d be punishment, maybe in the form of his own spanking.

Patience placed her hands on the sink and spread her legs. A black glove dropped in front of her.

  “Won’t be needing this.”

The second one dropped, and she shivered. Holy shit, she couldn’t believe he pulled this off. Excitement grew as she realized her fantasy was reality. Her nipples began to harden, and she couldn’t wait to feel his hard cock inside her.

“I’m going to fuck you so hard you’ll be begging me to stop.” He leaned against her, and she felt the outline of his hardness pressed against her cheeks.

  “Promise?”

“Oh you’re a feisty one, my little impatient princess.” He nipped at her ear, and she flinched from the chills coursing through her body.

“I don’t like to wait for anything.”

“I know, and I think before we go any further, you should make a New Year’s resolution to be more patient.”

She considered his words and wondered if she could. She knew she should, but in all reality would it be possible for her to tame down her impulsive needs?

  “Maybe.”

He swatted her backside. “Not the answer I’m looking for.”

A rush of adrenaline flowed through her veins.

“Will you please take me and get it over with?”

“This is exactly what I’m talking about. You need to relax and enjoy the moment. How am I going to get you all ready for the act if you’re demanding things now?”

  “I’m ready. Feel me.”

His finger grazed her pussy lips. “Well, well, well. I guess you are. But I’m still going to hold off from plunging in so quickly.”

She wanted to scream that was the whole point of the fantasy. Quick, take charge, almost as if it were rape.

“I resolve to have more patience if you cooperate and live out the fantasy the proper way. This isn’t it.”

“You have a point.” He used his foot and pushed her leg so she was spread even wider.

The sound of his zipper coming down filled her ears. She could hear his breathing quicken. He was growing excited too. The drop of clothing was evident. The sound of foil ripping came next.

She almost jumped when he touched her hips with his bare hands.

“Hold on tight; it’s about to get bumpy.”

He pressed against her, and his cock nudged the opening to her channel. He didn’t wait but ten seconds and lunged up and inside her, filling her to the brink.

  “Yes,” she cried.

He pumped harder, practically lifting her off the floor. She gripped the counter of the sink. She pushed back, matching him movement for movement.

“Fuck me, William. Fuck me hard.”

He continued rocking inside her. He removed his hands from her hips and reached around and tweaked her nipple.

The sensations cascading through her were like nothing she’d ever experienced before. Heat zapped all over her, warmth filled her womb. He moved his other hand to her clit and rubbed up and down. The feelings were overwhelming, and she felt her body start to tremble. She was on the verge of climax. No matter how much she wanted to hold out, she knew it was inevitable. She’d orgasm.

She squeezed her eyelids shut, clenched the porcelain, and growled as the orgasm took over her body. Flashes of brilliant lights danced behind her lids. The walls of her pussy contracted around his cock. Jolts of electricity soared from her pinched nipple to her swollen clit.

In the distance she heard the faint sound of William howling as his own climax took over, and he emptied his seed inside her. He continued hammering away at her until his dick was spent and she was gasping for air.

“Oh my God. Oh my God. That was incredible. I’ve never had an orgasm go on and on for so long. Shit.” She leaned her body over the sink. The coolness felt good on her sweat-ridden skin.

She did her best to catch her breath, and William rubbed her back.

  “Are you okay?”

She lifted her hand and gave him a thumbs-up. There was no way she could talk at the moment. Her breathing remained labored for the next few minutes. When she finally found the strength, she turned to him and smiled.

“You rocked my world in more ways than one. Thank you so much.” She bent closer and placed a tiny kiss on his lips.

“I love you, Patience Middleton, but I have to talk to you.”

She wrapped her arms around him, exhausted. Her legs were sore. What more could he have in store for her? This was incredible, to say the least. She couldn’t imagine anything better.

He kissed her cheek, her hair, and finally her lips.

“Get dressed so we can talk, please.”

Dressed? She thought for sure he had more sexual acts planned.

  “Humor me.”

His seriousness took her off guard.

“Okay.”

He released her and quickly picked up his clothing.

“I’ll be waiting in the living room for you.”

She nodded and headed to her room, where she quickly threw on her dress. She ran a brush through her hair and wondered what could possibly be so important. She’d resolved to have more patience, and she’d shown that when she didn’t question him, even though a million questions racked her brain.

She prayed he hadn’t decided to leave Nancy’s employment now that they were moving forward with the relationship. She knew Kyle adored him, but she also knew how William felt about mixing business with pleasure. He’d said it was a surprise, though. She wouldn’t consider quitting his job a surprise. Well, maybe.

“Oh damn. I’ll just go into the living room and find out. Why am I torturing myself?”

She quickly left her bedroom and rushed into the living room. She stopped dead in her tracks when she realized he’d decorated the couch with rose petals. There were two champagne flutes, each filled with the bubbly liquid. The lights were turned off, and the only lighting came from the many candles he’d lit. On the coffee table sat two plates and various closed boxes.

“Oh my. This is absolutely beautiful.” She felt a tear threatening. No one had ever done anything so special for her—ever.

“I hoped you’d be surprised.” He stood facing the couch, waiting for her to make her grand entrance. “You look stunning. Please come join me.”

He held out his hand, and she walked around and accepted. He led her to the couch and waited for her to be seated.

She watched in awe as he picked up the champagne glass and handed it to her.

Their fingers touched as she took the glass from him.

“I got us some scrumptious things to eat.”

“I can’t wait to taste them. What’s in the boxes?”

“It’s New Year’s Eve. Didn’t you just promise to be more patient?”

  “William!”

“All sorts of things.” He sat down next to her. “You know how I feel about you, right?”

“Yes,” she said cautiously. She didn’t like the direction his tone took. “Please stop torturing me like this—just spill it. Tell me what this is all about.”
