Kissing Junction is getting cramped. Everybody is all loved up and it is getting out of hand.

This surprise story wouldn't leave us alone until we wrote it out!

Thomas Kane has been celibate for seventeen years. When he sees Josephine McKinney at his routine doctor’s appointment, he knows it’s just a matter of time before she is his.

Josephine McKinney didn't want or need a man or, so she thought. Until she met Thomas.

Together since the day they met, Thomas and Josephine are prime examples of the crazy insane love that flows through this small town.

This is a super safe, sweet and crazy hot instalove.

Buckle up and enjoy the ride. There may be some breeding going on.

We love that and hope you do too!

  Chapter One

  Thomas

When I was fifteen years old, I made a mistake in judgment. Though I can’t be too upset at the outcome. I was a sophomore when I met Stacy Keller. Knowing of her and knowing her were two different things. I made it a point to know her. I blame it on teenage hormones. She was a senior and the captain of the cheerleading squad. In hindsight, as I was the 2nd string quarterback, it never should have happened.

However, she was mad at her boyfriend, and I may have taken advantage of that. A quick revenge fuck was all she was looking for.

At seventeen, she thought she was the hottest thing to ever grace the halls of Grover Cleveland K-12.

Unfortunately, falling for her nonsense was all my fault. Mind you that is not falling in love with her. I’ve never been in love. It was 1995 and while “Gangsta’s Paradise” was on the radio and Billy Madison was in the movie theaters, I was trying to get at her. It was a weird time.

Thinking I was cool as shit, I walked right up to her and asked her out. When she said yes, I didn’t even have to work hard to sleep with her. I wasn’t the first for her, but she was for me. One broken condom and three months later, Stacy and her parents show up at my parent’s front door. The only issue was she didn’t know if Mitch Campion, Trey Halsey, or I was the father.

We would’ve known if Trey was the father immediately at birth, but at that time we had to wait until the baby was born to know for sure. When Kristy was born, and it was determined that I was the father, I did what I thought I had to do. Stacy and I got married a few days later.

At first, it was ok, while there was no love between us, I tried to make it work. At sixteen, I was juggling school, football, a bitchy wife, a beautiful baby, and two jobs. Needless to say, football was the first to go, but I eventually had to drop out of school and get my GED all before my baby was one.

Kristy was instantly the light of my life. We grew up together, and I wouldn’t change a thing as far as she is concerned.

When Kristy was five, Stacy decided a wealthy banker in Dallas would make a better husband for her. She cheated on me the last three years we were married, and when she left, I breathed a sigh of relief.

When Stacy left, she broke my baby girl with her spewed hatred. I didn’t know that for a long time though. If I had been home, I would have nipped that in the bud.

Stacy left at nine o’clock in the morning on a Saturday, while I was at work. She left my baby girl home alone. I didn't get home until after eight that night. Kristy was a trooper though. She made her own lunch and dinner of peanut butter and jelly and watched cartoons all day.

I was beyond pissed at Stacy, not for cheating on me, but for literally abandoning our child. Anything could have happened to her while she was alone, and I wouldn’t have known for hours. Our divorce was finalized in 2000. Stacy terminated her rights and married the guy from Dallas. I heard that it didn’t last very long, and she is on her fifth husband right now. Good riddance.

I spent the next thirteen years focused on Kristy and working. Kristy was interested in every activity you can imagine. Karate, dance, drama, hunting, fishing, I wasn’t sure what she’d eventually land on, but when she told me she wanted to be a teacher, a few years ago, I was all for it.

As for work, I opened an insurance agency, Kane Insurance on Main Street. It is pretty lucrative since I have the only insurance agency without having to go to Dallas. I offer every kind you could ever need.

While I was raising Kristy, I kind of forgot about women. I told myself that I was still young, and I’d get back out there when she went to college. Then I told myself I would get back out there when the time was right.

Now that Kristy is married and pregnant, it is most definitely time. I am finally ready to get back out there and see what there is. I only hope that the pool is a lot better this time.

My best friend Donny is in almost the same situation as me. The only difference is his daughter, Victoria, is only seven. Our weekly poker game is full of newly married guys. We never used to even talk at these games about anything more serious than the Cowboys. Now it’s full of diapers, wives, and pregnancy cravings.

It makes a man want things he can’t easily have. Since I was barely dating before Stacy and I certainly didn’t even try after her. I’ve been celibate for seventeen long ass years. I am sure that I could have had quick hookups, I had offers from the single mothers of kids in Kristy’s classes, but I couldn’t introduce temporary people into Kristy’s life.

I have no idea what women even want anymore. I am not about to ask these assholes for any help though.

Looking around my office, I see all the claims in my inbox. I just can’t deal with another fender bender right now. I have a doctor’s appointment with Matt this afternoon, and while it is just a checkup for my insurance provider, I always get a little nervous something is going to be wrong.

Picking up my keys, I head out to the reception area. After letting Gladys, my sixty-two-year-old assistant, leave early, I lock up and
walk down the street to Matt’s office. He is about to get married and go on his honeymoon, but his covering doctor couldn’t take over until next Monday.

Lucky for me, I’m done for the day after this. It’s been a long day, and all I want is a cold beer and some homemade chili.

One of the things I learned to do early on in raising Kristy is how to cook a mean slow cooker meal. I’m thinking about cornbread and cheese when I open Matt’s office door, nothing could have prepared me for the first thing I see.

  Chapter Two

  Josephine

Thank God it is almost five, I am beyond glad that it’s nearly time to go home. Just one more patient, you got this, only one more patient. Then you can finish putting in these forms and close the office.

I said the mantra to myself for the tenth time in the last twenty minutes. Usually, I love my work but the last week has been hell.

This entire town is full of loved-up people, and everywhere I turn someone is either getting pregnant or married. Shit is getting ridiculous.

There's no such thing as love at first sight. Luckily, my boss, Dr. Pillman, is going on his honeymoon in a day and I get a week off. I don't plan on leaving my apartment the entire time.

I'm going to order in, my hair is going to go in a ponytail, and I am going to binge watch Bones in my underwear and a big ass shirt.

I have never been one of those girls who wanted a man to sweep her off her feet. Hell, I have never been the kinda girl who thought she’d find love period.

When I took the receptionist job at Dr. Pillman's office a couple of weeks ago, I was head over heels in love with this small community.

I grew up in Dallas and was in and out of foster homes from the age of four till I turned eighteen and I finally aged out of the foster care system. When my two best friends, Tiffani and Jules, moved to Kissing Junction I knew that's the place I wanted to be.

When we met in college, I hated the both of them for how close they were. It was more me being jealous of the friendship they had more than anything, but that didn’t last long.

Two days later, I was eating lunch, and they both just plopped their asses at my table and said I was going to be their best friend.

Five years later we all still hang out at least twice a week, and we never stop texting. Since I moved here my friend circle has turned from two girlfriends to seven. I can honestly say that I love living here but a small town on Valentine's Day, where everyone is in love, is just not my forte. Josephine McKinney doesn’t need a man. Maybe. I think.

That's why I plan on spending my week off in my apartment. The bell above the door rings and I look up to see the tallest guy I have ever seen.

I have to tilt my head back and look up past thick thighs covered in gray slacks, up a trimmed waist, a huge chest that looks like it's going to rip through the seams of the tailored button-down shirt it’s confined in.

Biting my lip, I look up past his strong jaw, which is covered in a light brown beard, past a slightly crooked nose, and into a pair of light blue eyes framed in long, dark eyelashes that any girl would be jealous of.

  “Wow.”

He gives me a smirk and starts to walk over to my desk. I feel myself turn pink as I realize that I said that out loud, but I couldn't help myself.

He is the sexiest man I've ever seen. Holy fuck, I think my ovaries just exploded. When he is standing next to the front desk, he gives me a genuine smile

“Hi, I’m Thomas Kane. I have an appointment with Matt.”

Oh my God! I think I just had a mini orgasm just from the sound of his voice. My mouth goes dry, and my panties are soaked. When he raises his eyebrow, I realize I haven't said anything.

“Oh… um… Hello Mr. Kane, Dr. Pillman will be out shortly. Is there anything I can get you while you wait?” I mentally bash my head into the desk.

What the fuck is wrong with me? Did I not just get done telling myself that I am not a girl who goes all goo-goo eyed at the first man I see? He looks down at my chest, and for a second, I think he is checking me out but when I look down to see what he is looking at I notice it is just my name tag.

“No thanks, Josephine McKinney, I’m all set.” He turns around and sits in the chair closest to my desk.

Oh wow. It just got way too hot in here. When the hell did the sound of my full name start sounding sexy? Do not fan yourself. Do not fan yourself. This is my new mantra until Matt comes out from the back

“Hi, Tom. How are you doing? Come on back.”

When they go into the back, I sink into my chair and allow myself to have a brief oh my God moment before shaking my head and setting to work on cleaning the office. By the time I'm done, it is four forty-five, and I only have fifteen minutes until I can leave.

I really need to take off these damn shoes and this stupid death trap that’s called a bra. I'm in the middle of fixing my girls when Tommy walks out of the back and literally catches me in mid-shake.

Wait... When did I come up with a nickname for him?

I see his cheeks flush and his mouth pop open. I quickly bend down and pretend that I am working on something at my desk as I feel my face turn bright red. It’s okay. It’s okay. It’s okay. He doesn’t know that I know that he caught me. It's all good. I really need to get out of the house more. I am starting to talk to myself a little bit too much.

When he clears his throat, I look up and give him the most cheerful smile I can muster.

“Oh hi Mr. Kane, I didn't see you there. Are you all set, or do we need to make you another appointment?”

“Uh… No, I’m all set, Josephine.”

“Okay, have a great day Mr. Kane.”

We stand there staring at each other until the door opens and Jules walks in.

“Hey, JoJo. You can go ahead and head home I’ll close up.” Matt tells me.

I look over to see Matt walking over to his girl. He doesn't have to tell me twice. I grab my bag and jacket before giving Jules a quick hug. “See ya later Jules. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.” I say as I walk out of the building. You will not look back. You will not look back. I tell myself as I start making my way to the diner.

  Chapter Three

  Thomas

Holy shit. I give a quick wave to Matt and Jules and jog out of his office. I am able to quickly tell she is going to the diner, so I just follow her. Following her gives me a chance to really take in what she is wearing.

She is wearing a tight, black pencil skirt. It hugs the curve of her hips like a second skin. Her white blouse is tucked into the skirt. It does very little to keep her tits from sight. I feel an irrational jealousy that other men can see that.

Following down her legs, I see that her feet are encased in some sort of strappy, black, high heels.

When she reaches the door, she smiles before she turns. I know she can see my reflection in the glass of the door because I can see hers.

  “Are you following me, Tommy?”

I quirk an eyebrow at that. “Tommy?”

She turns bright red and holds the door open for me.

“Sorry, I couldn’t help it. You look like a Tommy to me.”

“Josephine, it’s totally ok. You are the only person to ever call me that. I’m usually just Tom or Thomas. Just picking up some take out. Not a lot of options in this town.” The chili I made will keep until tomorrow.

  “Right of course.”

When I put my hand on the small of her back, a jolt of electricity courses through me. She gasps, so I know she felt it too.

“Are you eating here?” I ask.

“I usually do, but tonight I am really looking forward to getting out of these clothes.”

Sweet Lord. I might combust right here. My cock is so hard, I have to discreetly adjust it. I have never been this fucking hard. I can’t even remember the last time I was hard, maybe six years ago?

I had no idea her face could get redder, but it does.

“That sounds like a plan. Should I get us a booth?” I sa
y. When she smiles up at me, I almost lose my balance.

  “I’d like that.”

Picking the booth in the back corner, I lead her to it. She immediately pulls the menu from the holder on the table. Rita comes over to take our order.

“Hi, guys. What can I get you to drink?”

“I’ll have a root beer.” She says.

  “And I’ll have a Coke.”

“I’ll bring those right out. Are you ready to order now?”

“I am. I’ll have a deluxe bacon cheeseburger, plain with just cheese and bacon. I’ll also have double fries.”

Woah. I like that she is actually ordering food.

“I’ll have the Cowboy breakfast. Extra bacon.”

“Perfect, I’ll get this order in right away.”

When Rita walks away, I can’t do anything but stare at her beautiful face for a moment. She starts to squirm a little in her seat as I keep staring. I’d like to think it is because she is as affected by me as I am by her.

“So, how old are you?” She asks me.

“Uh, is that important to you?”

“No, just getting to know you.”

“In that case, I am thirty-eight.” I take a drink from the glass Rita just set down in front of me.

“Oh, you are only eighteen years older than me.”

  I choke on my soda.

“You are younger than my daughter.”

Her eyes go to my ring finger.

“Fuck are you married? Why does this always happen to me?”

“Absolutely not. I would never step out on my wife.”

“Is that what this is? Stepping out?” She says laughing.

“Well, now that is up to you. I would definitely like to get to know you better.”

  “I’d like that too.”

“So, tell me what twenty-year old’s are up to these days?”
