Troy gave him a single nod, a slight smirk on his face before following the officers out of the room.
The commotion remained, and Dominick took several deep breaths, waiting until the noise died down. He had no doubt that Catherine’s attorney would have her out of lockup in less than two hours. Then the real hell would begin, but what the fuck? He was in the mood for a good battle.
“Now, let’s talk about some upcoming business,” he said with a smile on his face. “Oh, wait. You should meet one of our newest employees and a woman who will be a member of our board of directors.” He moved to the door, peering out into the hallway. He’d never been so proud or so happy in his life.
As Jenna walked into the room, her eyes lit up by excitement, everyone took a deep breath.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please meet Jenna Parker. She will be in charge of the recently purchased winery that we are going to expand with the help of the previous owner, Greg Porter as well as the expertise of Brice Waters. This will be the finest recreational facility located up and down the corridor. This will be just one of our new directions, business that we can all be proud of.” He reached for her hand, giving her a twinkle of his eyes.
She gave him a knowing smile and as she moved, she winced just enough for him to notice. The morning spanking had been spectacular.
“And I’m very proud to announce that Ms. Parker has also agreed to become my wife.”
In what could only happen with a group of people who cared, they began to clap.
