Searching For Who I Am: Book 1 (The Searching Trilogy) Page 22

by Paige Orr

Opening the satchel I find a canteen of water and wrapped up tightly is some stale bread and a small amount of cheese and meat. You won't hear me complaining though, beggars can't be choosers. I stuff the food into my mouth as fast as humanly possible before downing half of the canteen. Feeling a little more satisfied, I ease into a sitting position, before looking at the scared boy in front of me, feeling a malicious grin spread over my face.

"What's the matter boy, cat got your tongue." His flinching only causes my grin to widen as he begins to shake in fear. "Don't worry this cat won't eat you, you probably taste disgusting. Now leave me, I've got a plan to form and that is damn near impossible with the stench coming from you." The relief covers his face as he transforms back into his rat form and makes a hasty exit, as I turn back to my favourite pastime these days. Don't worry my little minx this will all be over soon, you'll see.

  Note From The Author

Thank you so much, for taking the time to read my first ever book. I’ve been nervous as hell in the lead up to the release and the fact that you have taken a chance on a new author like myself means the world to me. I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed creating my characters and their little world.

This book is really important to me so I just wanted to add a thank you to everyone who buys it.
