CHAPTER 1
Kataline
A pounding in my head is making it hard to think. Twinges of sharp spikes in my brain make me gasp with each one. Though no one is in the room with me, I hear people speaking.
I fear I’m going mad.
The door slides open and my Prince carries in a tray of some drink he thinks will help ease my pain. I’ve yet to tell him of the voices I hear. He’s already worried enough.
“This should help, my love,” he says as he comes to sit on the bed next to me.
The liquid is pink and frothy and I have a feeling it’s made from some squished up bugs as tiny brown specks float in it. I will not ask, though. I take a sip as he puts it to my lips and find it tastes sweet and a little tangy.
“Thank you, Kerr. I’m sure it will help.”
He smiles and hands me the clear glass. “Drink it all, Kataline.”
I toss the drink down in a few gulps and lie back. With luck, the pain will soon subside. In moments, the sharp pains turn into a dull throb and I can see it’s helping immensely.
Kerr’s large hand runs through my hair and he leans down to kiss my forehead. “Your color is already starting to get better.”
I look at the man who I was awarded to. Kerr is a miracle. Always full of hope. He’s a rock I’m glad to have as an anchor in this crazy life.
The voices in my head grow quiet and I’m thankful for that. The things they say are horrifying. My body seems to be vibrating and then even Kerr notices the humming sound.
He places his ear to my chest and listens then looks at me. “Your body is shaking, Kataline.”
I nod and have no control over it. A pulling sensation starts in my stomach and slowly I move up off the mattress. Kerr lays his body over mine, but it does nothing to keep my bo
dy from lifting us both into the air.
“Are you thinking about doing this, Kataline? Or is it just happening?”
“It’s just happening,” I tell him.
“Think about staying on the bed then. Learn to override this.”
I close my eyes and picture my body back on the bed and I feel the sheet under my bare back. Earlier I pulled all of my clothing off as it felt as if burrs where covering me.
I open my eyes and find Kerr smiling at me. “It worked! You could think past whatever it is which is making you do such things. With work, you can learn to control this. It’s great progress!”
While happy to see him happy, I have my doubts I can do it when my mind is in the chaotic pain it seems to want to stay in without the aid of the magic pink drink.
Again, I tell my husband only what will make him happy and less worried. “Thank you, Kerr. With your help, I’m sure to get this under control. Perhaps it’s the lack of gravity which has my body and mind doing crazy things. I read once of something called space fever. Maybe that’s what this is.”
With a shake of his head, blond waves fall across his broad shoulders. “This is not from anything other than your unique genetic make-up. I do wish your father had sent along a list of the DNA used to make you. It might help us to figure out what can be done to help you.”
I close my eyes as I feel the sensation in my stomach again and have to concentrate to keep it down. I am so tired. A battle wages inside me and I have no idea how long I can keep it down.
Kerr’s hand runs over my bare shoulder and his lips touch mine. “I love you, my Princess.”
I wrap my arms around the man. His muscles move beneath the thin shirt he has on. “Kerr, will you undress and get into bed with your wife, sir?”
He obliges me and climbs under the blanket with me. “We should rest while the drink calms you. Would you like the complete darkness, Baby?”
I nod. He reaches up and turns the lights in our bedroom off and it instantly goes to pitch black. I blink a few times and then reach out to him.
“Kerr,” I whisper.
“Yes, Baby.”
My hand runs over his ample manhood. “Make love to me.”
His lips touch my cheek and his hand runs over my breast. I fall more in love with this man every moment. He has gained such a mess in taking me as his wife and yet he never complains.
My stomach tenses as his fingertips run over it, leaving heated trails behind them. One finger finds my pearl and rubs it into arousal.
His silky hair beckons me to run my hands through it and his warm mouth moves to my neck. Soft kisses he makes over it until he gets just behind my ear. Tiny nips he gives me, making me moan.
He knows how to touch me, stroke, me and make me feel more than I knew possible. As he plays with my clit, my insides get hot and my legs move, wanting to feel his body between them.
His hand leaves my center and moves over the inside of my thigh, stroking it and settling it down. My body responds instantly to his soft yet commanding touch.
I stop moving and allow him to slowly pleasure me. Thinking I can do a bit for him, I run my hand to wrap around his large cock. It’s already hard and I find a bit of liquid has escaped the tip.
With a long stroke, I run the wetness over his length and delight in how he moves with me to help me stroke him at the speed he wants. Slow and steady.
Moving down my neck, his teeth graze my flesh as he makes his way to my breast and takes it in his mouth. His teeth take my taut nipple between them and it sends sparks throughout my body.
I arch up and moan as he begins to suckle it. My breath is getting raspy as my body is getting more excited. Every long pull he gives my breast sends a sensation to somewhere deep inside me and makes me wetter and the ache for him to be inside me increases.
His hand runs over mine, increasing the speed at which I’m stroking his hard cock. His mouth becomes more demanding at my breast. His hand leaves mine and his fingers trail over my stomach and down to fill me as his thumb presses the little button which will soon send me to another place.
My heart pounds as the wave pulls me from deep inside. It all comes together and I explode as he sucks hard and pumps his fingers inside me.
I arch up and scream his name.
He moves his body to cover mine and slips his large, wet cock into my throbbing tunnel. “You feel like Heaven, Baby.”
He moves slowly inside me, making the orgasm increase. I can barely breathe as my body convulses around him. Trying so hard to get him to release himself, but he’s nowhere near ready to give in.
Kerr moves to place his legs on either side of me as he pulls me to sit up, facing him. Though I can’t see a thing, I can feel his warm breath on my cheek as he glides me to him.
His hands hold my waist and pull me back and forth in a rocking motion over his long erection. Over and over, he pulls me to him then pushes me back. My arms wrap around his neck.
My breasts alternate from crushing between us to feeling cool air as my body is moved back and forth. The sound of our breathing is fascinating.
I can hear each one of our hearts as they pound at different intervals. His is slightly louder than mine. Its thump is an octave lower than mine is.
We start to leave the bed as I focus on the sounds and he growls, “Take us back, down, Kataline. Do not let that control what we’re doing.”
I focus on thinking about being back on the bed and down we go. It’s getting a little easier and hopefully, soon I’ll get a hint my mind is about to go off on its own and be able to stop it before it happens.
His lips touch mine. “Good, girl.”
I smile and pull him back to kiss me. His mouth tastes like sweet lemons and I find myself craving them. My kiss grows hungry as his fingers cut into the flesh around my hips, pulling me to him with more need.
First, a small jerk I can feel as he pulls me to him harder and harder until I feel him jerk hard and fill me with heat. It takes me into a climax and we both moan as our bodies fill with ecstasy.
I ease the kiss and let our mouths part, resting my forehead against his. “I love you, Kerr.”
His hand cups the back of my neck. “I love you, Kataline.”
Somewhere inside me, I hear a tiny voice say, “Enjoy this while you can, Kataline.”
As my husband lays me back on our bed a tear falls. I have no idea how much longer I have to be me. The me who loves the man beside me more than imaginable. The me who is sweet and kind most times. The me who I think will be missed if she goes away and never comes back.
Not long ago I was sitting at my home, unaware I had been given away to an alien. When I got the news I was devastated about how I would be spending my life.
Now all I want is to spend it with him, anywhere in the entire universe. And I may not get that as something is threatening to take me away from him, forever.
“Kerr, if I become someone I’m not what will you do with me?” I run my hand to intertwine our fingers as I hold our hands between us.
“How can you become someone you’re not, Kataline? That’s a ridiculous notion, Baby.” His fingers squeeze mine.
I take a deep breath. I have no idea how to explain to him what’s happening inside my head. So I rest my cheek on his shoulder and decide to change the subject.
“Which would you like first, a boy or a girl?”
His hand runs over my stomach. “I don’t care as long as it’s healthy.”
I giggle. “You care. Just tell me.”
His hand is warm as he gently rubs my stomach. “I’d like a little girl who looks just like her mother. If you must make me choose.”
“You would? I thought you’d surely say you wanted a boy first.” I press my lips to his shoulder. “I’d like a son first. One who looks just like his father.”
“Well, we can’t have both. Or can we?” He laughs and runs his hand up to catch my chin in it. “Tell me, do twins run in your family, Baby?”
I remai
n silent. I suppose he’s forgotten just how vast my family is. In a whisper, I remind him, “I’m a science experiment. I have no idea what runs in my blood.”
Warm lips touch my forehead. “Do not refer to a person as special as you are as something so small. You are a magnificent creation. Nothing less than that should ever be used to describe you.”
