“Hey you,” she said her voice low and happy as she curled her fingers into his palm.

“I like waking up with you next to me,” he grumbled, “what are you doing out here.”

“I had to make some calls, baby, I didn’t want to wake you. It was a late one last night.”

He grimaced, stretching his shoulders and rubbing his arms ruefully at the ache this produced.

“Yeah, the job took a little longer than I thought. The police got wind of the raid and me and the boys nearly got into a bit of bother.

Raine raised her eyebrows. “How close of a call?” she asked.

“Nothing for you to worry about, darlin’,” he grinned. “I can take care of myself.”

She wrapped her arms around him and nuzzled into his neck as his hands stroked her back, moving lower to squeeze her arse.

“I don’t doubt that, Tommy, but I don’t want to lose you. I can’t lose anybody else. What would I do without you? Who would satisfy the desire you’ve woken in me?”

She kissed his chest, her lips lingering over the bud of his nipple, then skimming down his stomach to his magnificent morning glory. He still smelled of the sex they’d had last night, the musk of her pussy still lingering in the tight curls of his pubes. She licked him, her tongue tracing the veins in his shaft, swirling across the deep red of his helmet, dipping into the tight hole as he groaned and pulled her closer to him. She opened her mouth and he slipped inside, tangling his fingers in her hair and thrusting between her wet, willing lips.

Raine looked up at him, his eyes closed, his normally slick hair messy with that ‘just got out of bed’ look. He looked vulnerable and sweet, so different to the hard gangster he was outside of the bedroom. She felt her heart break for the life that they’d have together, never safe, never free, but at the same time she wouldn’t have it any other way. She was in love with him and there was nothing that could change that. She had seen him at his best and at his worst and she couldn’t imagine her life without him now.

He looked down at her and smiled, slipping out of her and pulling her to her feet.

“Get back into the bedroom,” he said, “I need some loving this morning.”

Under the duvet, he kissed her slowly as his fingers slipped into her sopping cunt which swallowed them greedily,

“Always so wet for me, baby,” he marvelled, “you have no idea how hot that is.”

Raine moaned as he stroked her sweet spot, his head bent to lick first one and then the other nipple. He was gentle, whispering in her ear about what he wanted to do to her, how much he wanted to be inside her. It was a side she rarely saw but one that she loved.

He brought her to the brink and then positioned himself above her, pushing her wrists over her head and gazing into her eyes. The tip of him nudged between her lips and she bucked up towards him, her eyes glazed with desperation for him.

“You’re mine,” he whispered, “don’t ever forget that, baby. Mine forever.”

“Always yours,” she whispered back, “and you’re mine. We belong together.”

He pushed a little further into her and she struggled underneath him.

“I love you,” he said and Raine felt herself well up with emotion. She blinked back the tears.

“I love you too,” she half gasped as he drove into her, his body covering hers, his cock buried deep inside her. She tensed as he moved inside her, stoking her, thrusting into her, bringing her closer and closer, all the while looking into her eyes, the connection between them intense and unbreakable.

His slow steady pace was a tease. She was torn between begging him to fuck her hard and fast and letting his twists and thrust build her to a slow intense orgasm.

She bucked up against him and he smiled.

“I’m going to take it slow, and watch you come apart underneath me,” he said, his breath ragged as she squeezed him inside her. “I want you to feel how much I want you.”

He let go of her wrists and held her close. Her arms were around him and she could feel the strong muscles of his shoulders as he fucked her. She clung to him, her safe place, her gorgeous man. Raine thought that she had never felt so happy as she did right in that moment, in his bed.

He was bringing her to the edge and she clung on, not wanting the moment to end, but his relentless thrusts and his whispered words left her powerless. She raked his back with her nails, making him groan as, just as she came hard, gasping and sobbing, he let himself go and filled her tight little pussy with a stream of hot cum.

He dropped down over her, his head resting on her shoulder and she held him tight, the warmth of him, the weight of him and the sheer emotion of it making her cry.

“Shush baby, it’s okay, I’m here, I’ll always be here for you.”

He rolled off her and gathered her up in his arms, kissing away her tears.

You don’t have to be afraid anymore, darlin’, I’m going to take care of you from now on.”

  Chapter Fifteen

Raine watched Tommy from across the room. He moved through the club like a shark, people either subtly moving out of his way or trying to shake his hand to let him know that they were good with him. He exuded an air of menace that made people respect him. Or fear him.

Raine wasn’t quite sure that she didn’t fear him too. She knew she was crazy about him and she found him fascinating, which scared her because she knew what he was capable of. When he was with her he was kind and gentle and she felt protected. The way he had made love to her that morning had showed her a side that she hadn’t thought existed, and she had found herself falling for him even harder. She knew he would never lay a finger on her, outside of the bedroom anyway, and she loved the way he dominated her inside it. She understood that she should hate him because of the bad blood between their families but she also knew that he had freed her.

He looked over, blowing her a kiss and making her smile. He gave her butterflies, she knew that. When he came home with blood on his shirt it gave her a thrill that she realised she shouldn’t feel. He cut through the wicked under belly of London with a precision and a charm that set him apart from the others. He was always in control, always calm, bordering on arrogant but with the power that he wielded within their world it was to be expected. And his arrogance was a turn on for her.

Her set was finished for the night and the rest of the girls were moving around the club, entertaining Tommy’s clientele with grace and elegance. You could almost believe you were on the set of an old Hollywood movie. Raine loved the glamour that came with her new life. So different to the tarnished low rent clubs her brother ran. With a shiver she was reminded that she still had to deal with him. She knew that he was angry with her and she understood why and the thought terrified her, but she wanted him to understand why she needed to follow her dream. She was scared because she had defied him; in his eyes she had disrespected the family and she knew that she had hurt him. If she knew her brother, Archie would want to hurt her back and she knew how ruthless he could be when he was angry. She wondered daily whether she was safe, even with Tommy’s protection, or whether Archie’s unscrupulous contacts would get to her. When she wasn’t with Tommy she was scared of the shadows, scared of what lengths Archie would go to punish her. He had been too quiet for too long and it was making her nervous.

Tommy slid his arm around her waist, pulling her tight against him.

“Penny for them, beautiful? Where’s that smile that lights up my world?”

Raine smiled up at him, her hands sliding into the short hair at the back of his neck, her lips finding his. The thrill of his masculine scent, the gentle pressure of his mouth against hers, the warm, solidness of his body and his hands against the small of her back made her feel as though her body was glowing from the inside.

“How much longer until I can get you home?” she whispered into his ear, her breath warm against his skin.

“We’d go now if it was up to me, beautiful, but I have something I need to take care of.” />
  “Something or someone?” she asked.

Tommy winked. “Give me ten minutes. Go powder your nose and get your things.”

Raine walked back to the dressing room to get her belongings, jumping as two of the other girls burst giggling through the door. She sat down in front of the mirror and looked at herself. She couldn’t live like this, jumping at shadows, scared to leave the house. She needed to talk to Archie, to try to clear the air and find out what he was thinking. If he wanted her dead she should at least know so that she could be more careful.

  Chapter Sixteen

  Time to Talk

Raine took a deep breath and walked into Fantasia. She wasn’t sure how Archie was going to react but she needed to speak to him. He was her only family and she didn’t want bad blood between them.

Archie looked up as she opened the door to his office. He wasn’t alone but when he saw her, he motioned for the boys to leave. Raine waited as they walked past her, nodding a brief hello to them as they did. The atmosphere was tense and she wondered what they had been talking about.

  “What do you want, traitor?”

Raine sighed. Not the greatest start to the conversation.

“Don’t be like that Arch, it’s just a job.”

“Is it though? I know Tommy White, people talk. He’s a pervert, Raine. He goes through women like they were toys. He’s not a nice man and you’re a very pretty girl.”

“I don’t think I know any nice men if I’m honest, Arch, we don’t really run in “nice man” circles, do we? He’s been nothing but pleasant to me and he’s letting me sing in his club. You know that’s my dream and why shouldn’t I follow it?”

Archie looked at her, his stare harsh and angry.

  “Are you sleeping with him?”

  Raine rolled her eyes.

“Look I know what you think of him. I know he’s our enemy, he gave the order that left dad dead. I understand why you’re angry and believe me, I was as devastated as you when it happened.” Raine kept her fingers crossed behind her back as she told that particular white lie.

“But Archie, I’ve told you before, so many times that I want out of the family business and I want a new life and at the moment this is my best chance. It’s not perfect but life isn’t, as we both know. I don’t want to fight with you Archie, please, can you try and be civil so that I can do this without losing you completely.

  “Are you fucking him?”

Raine’s hands shook as she saw the fury in his face as he braced himself for her answer. She knew in that moment that when he found out about her and Tommy he would never forgive her.

“I’m not even going to answer that ridiculous question,” she said, careful not to betray her terror.

Archie punched the table with his fist, glaring up at her.

“’Ow can you even look at him without wanting to slit ‘is throat?”

Raine sighed. “You killed the guy who pulled the trigger, isn’t that enough?”

  “No,” he stated, “it isn’t.”

“I came here to try and talk to you Archie because you’re my brother and I love you but you’re making it difficult. I’m family, mum asked you to look after me, and you let dad use me to further his connections and make more money. You owe me this; in fact you should’ve let me get out sooner but you were too scared of dad. Please do the right thing now and be happy for me.”

Archie’s knuckles were white as he gripped the edge of his desk. Raine held her breath, wondering if she had gone too far talking about their mum. Then he stood up and looked at her.

“Fine, you’re right, I shouldn’t have let you go through some of those things and I’m sorry, and I can handle the business by myself so I don’t exactly need you here. But, like you say, we’re family and people are already talking about you switching sides and it sounds to me like Tommy White has you under his spell. So before I let you go, I need you to do one last job for the family. You need to prove to me that you know where you loyalties lie and let people know you have my back.”

Archie stopped pacing and stood in front of her. She waited to hear what he had to say.

“I want you to spy for me and I want information that will let me finish him and his boys off for good. We’ve got a big shipment coming in on Friday and if it goes down the way I plan, it will impress a lot of people and raise this family’s status. I want to celebrate by getting rid of that scumbag and his pathetic gang and letting the rest of them know that you don’t fucking mess with Archie Madden. I want you to get him and his boys away from his security, make them vulnerable. Get them somewhere they won’t be expecting trouble. I just need you to let me know where and when, and I’ll arrange the rest.”

“No,” she stated simply. “I’m not handing you any information that will lead a man, several men, to their deaths. I won’t have their blood on my hands.”

She staggered backwards as his palm connected with her face, the sting of the slap making her eyes water and her lip bleed.

“You’ll do it or I’ll fucking kill you too.”

“Oh shut up, Archie, that’s ridiculous. I’m your sister, you wouldn’t hurt me.”

This time he slapped her harder and she fell backwards, sliding down the wall and onto the floor.

“I want a time and a date or I will come after you. Now get the fuck out of my office.”

  With that he walked out.

Raine sat on the floor for a moment, shaking with rage and fear, wiping the blood off of her lip. She was done with all of this shit, and she was done with Archie controlling her. Getting up she went straight over to his desk and carefully sorted through his paperwork. There must be something here about the drugs shipment, Archie always wrote things down. Frankie had told him over and over that it was stupid, but he was arrogant and thought he was untouchable. She kept looking, glancing at the door every now and then, her heart racing in case he came back and caught her.

There it was. The route, a time, everything she needed. She photographed the piece of paper with her phone and put his desk back how he’d left it.

He stormed back in. “Are you still here?”

  “I’m just leaving.”

“Keep in touch, sis. Remember which side you’re on.”

“Oh I will. Don’t worry, Archie, you’ve made it very clear who I can rely on.”

  Chapter Seventeen

  Getting Down to Business

“What the fuck happened to you, baby? Who do I need to make disappear for laying a finger on my girl?”

Tommy stood up and took her face in his hand, inspecting the red mark left behind by her brother.

“Archie,” she said. “He’s unimpressed with my choice in men these days. I tried to talk to him about things but all he wanted to know was whether or not we were fucking.”

“What did you tell ‘im?” Tommy’s eyes sparkled as he grinned.

“It’s not funny, Tommy, he scares me. He threatened to kill me.”

“He did what?” The smile disappeared from Tommy’s face immediately.

“He wants me to spy on you. He thinks I’ve switched sides and he wants me to prove myself to him or he’ll kill me as well as you.”

“And he thought a couple of slaps would help you remember what you owe him?”

Raine shrugged. “He’s never been the brightest spark.”

“Are you going to feed him some rubbish to keep him sweet?” Tommy tipped her head, kissing her neck and inhaling the scent of her skin. She smelled faintly of sweat and fear and it aroused him more than he liked to admit. He imagined her standing up to her little prick of a brother, his feisty girl defying her family for him and his cock stood to attention.

“Better than that, baby. I got you some information on him.” Raine wrapped her arms around him, pressing herself against his body. “If I’m going to spy on anyone, it’ll be that arrogant little prick, not you. It looks like I did good,” she giggled, as she discovered his erection.

  Tommy sat down on th
e sofa and pulled her on top of him. “Is it weird that it turns me on to think about you arguing with your brother?”

Raine nodded, kissing him, “But I love your weirdness, baby.”

  “Tell me what you got.”

  ***

Fifteen minutes later, Tommy knew exactly what he was going to do to mess with Archie Madden and, with a little luck, get rid of him for good. With the added benefit that Raine would be free of him too, without Tommy having to kill her brother for threatening his girl. It tended to sour relationships when you massacred their entire family. He outlined it to Raine, wondering how she would react.

“You’re a genius, babe,” she whispered as she kissed him, her fingers fumbling with his belt and unzipping his trousers to free his hard on. She slid off his lap and onto the floor in front of him. Sticking out her tongue, she ran it from the base of his cock slowly up to the tip, lingering around the edge of his helmet, making him twitch as she tongued him softly. Tommy moaned, his fingers tangled in her hair. He thrust up into her mouth making her gag hard and he pulled back, reining himself in, checking she that she was okay. Raine looked up at him, grabbed his arse and took him down further.

“You sure baby?” he asked and she nodded, sucking greedily as he pulled her hair tighter. “Remember your safe word,” he growled, not hesitating another second, fucking her mouth until her eyes watered and she gagged, struggling to breathe around the thick shaft.

“Oh God, baby, you have no idea how good this feels.” Tommy lifted her head with her hair, watching himself disappear between her lips, spit gathering at the corners of her mouth as she let him use her for his pleasure.

He felt his balls tighten, his orgasm so close and he pulled out, shoving her backwards, kneeling over her face as he brought himself to climax with his hand, spraying cum all over her as she leaned up to lick him, running her tongue over her lips to taste him.

Tommy shook as the last of his orgasm rolled through him, squeezing the last drops of cum onto her waiting tongue.
