Finally when he could stand it no longer and the need to consummate their love became too urgent, he gathered her up into his arms, bearing her away to his bedroom.
She lay staring up at him, still wearing his shirt. It fanned away from her lovely slender body that was utterly, ecstatically, female. Her magnolia skin was flushed, her long hair curling a sable halo against the dark ruby silk of one of the cushions that adorned the navy coverlet. She looked so beautiful, so innocently seductive, he felt his heart contract with love and protectiveness. “You’re sure, my love?”
At that, her whole body surged upward, her hands clutching at the front of his shirt. “Can’t you see I’m longing for you?” Her voice broke as she pressed her soft body against him. “More than anything in the world I want your love.”
“No going back?” He leaned forward to kiss her sweet, open mouth.
Love bloomed and swelled, encompassing them both.
An enormous certainty seized her. “I know where I am,” Eden whispered as his arms closed strongly around her. “My heart knows. My body knows. I’m home!”
