Robert L. ROBINSON, Jr. was first introduced to the world of comic books, radio shows and movie serials as a child in the 1960s by his father, who had no idea the damage it would do to this fragile mind. Seeing Planet of the Apes on the big screen at age seven when it came out added film to the areas that fascinated him. Bob’s Outer Edge Entertainment company is currently in preproduction on a remake of Judex, for which he wrote the screenplay When not escaping into worlds of fantasy and imagination, Bob coaches Soccer (eight years at it now with a record of 32-4-4) and basketball. He has a patient wife in Ann and their four kids, Abby, Rob, Matt and Kara (named after the lass from Krypton). Two Hunters is his first short story.

5 This is likely Unit 731, a secret military medical unit of the Imperial Japanese Army based in Pingfang, which conducted research in biological warfare during the Second Sino-Japanese War and World War II.
6 A special project of Unit 731 used human test subjects, dubbed maruta (“logs”), for their experiments. Whether this term originated as a joke, or from the fact that the official cover story was that Unit 731 was a lumber mill, is unknown.
7 According to information obtained from Sir Denis Nayland Smith, we now know that the notorious Doctor Fu Manchu was also working on developing new strains of bacteria to be used as weapons of war at the same time.
8 The Noborito Research Institute developed biological agents to destroy crops and plants using “Fu-Go” balloons sent to drift over the Western United States. A number of their scientists have come to work for us since the end of the war; a great number, however, have disappeared in unexplained circumstances.
9 This may be referring to the fact that our experts found five Japanese cyclotrons, which could separate fissionable material from ordinary uranium, and six large separators. As you know, the cyclotrons were destroyed and dumped in Tokyo Harbor.
10 This might help explain the mysterious disappearance of several prominent Japanese scientists mentioned in Note 4 above, and whose help would have been invaluable to our own Operation Nisei/731. As for Professor Aldridge, that name, and everything associated with it, is currently classified ATS-SCI and, the
refore, cannot be discussed in this memo. See Documents X-F/3.9/95-11-24 and X-F/3.10/95-12-0.c
11 The rest is illegible. We did find a fragment of what might have been that notebook amongst the charred remains of the bunker. Upon analysis, it appears to have been bound in human skin. The exact signification of the butterfly motif remains unknown; however, it is worth noting that many American G.I.s who fought in the Pacific Theater wore butterfly tattoos.
