I never claimed to be the one that had everything figured out. I was never that girl. I was cautious. I didn’t take chances. I was one to always play it safe. This time I was happy that I didn’t. I took a chance with Mark and it was a win for me.
I hit the jackpot with Mark. I never considered him as anything more than a friend and coworker. I was so happy he convinced me we could be more. I was married to my best friend and there was no greater feeling than that. I got pregnant soon after our wedding. We eloped to Vegas three months after I moved into his house. It was a bold move, but we were courageous together. He proved his love, and he proved we wanted the same things in our futures. Falling in love with him was effortless. I didn’t feel like I had anything to prove. He knew me fully. He knew my flaws, secrets, and worries. All these things didn’t scare him away. Loving someone and having them love you in return was a gift. Love must have been in the air because even Tami was engaged to get married. I was Mrs. Mark Wiley, and I was going to be a mother soon, and I loved every minute of this new life.
