“What are you doing?” she asks, finally looking at me.
“I’m going to make you stop saying no to me.”
She rolls her eyes.
My hands land on the wall on either side of her head and her eyes flash to me once again, but I don’t bother having another staring contest. I lean down and gently bite the side of her neck before sucking the soft skin into my mouth.
She gasps and her hands briefly squeeze my arms before she drops them to her sides again. Still being stubborn.
My tongue trails across her flesh until I reach the base of her throat. I feel her swallow hard before I kiss the hollow of her throat and then kiss her chin.
“Don’t,” she says softly.
“Don’t what?”
I bring my right hand down and without hesitation, slide it inside the waistband of her leggings. My fingers can feel the heat of her pussy through the thin layer of her panties.
“Stop,” she pants out, her eyes closing.
“I don’t think you really want me to stop,” I say as my fingers caress her warmth.
Both her hands shoot out and grab mine by the wrist. She tries pulling my hand up, but she isn’t strong enough. I grab both of her tiny wrists in my left hand and pin them above her head while my other hand pushes her panties to the side. I let one finger slide through the wetness before gently pushing it in.
“Do you really want me to stop?” I ask, my voice dropping to a low rumble. “Or are you trying to be stubborn still?”
I bring my finger to her clit and rub slow circles while I kiss her neck and collarbone, and wait for her answer. When she doesn’t say anything, I ask again.
“Emilie?” Two fingers slip inside of her soaking wet pussy. “Do you want me to stop touching you?”
She groans. “Yes.”
I back up and look at her, surprised at her response. She glares back at me for a minute before speaking again.
“I don’t want you to touch me with your fingers. I want you to lick my pussy and taste how wet you got me.”
A deep, husky growl is ripped from my throat as I swiftly pull her leggings off. I drop to my knees and bring her legs to rest on my shoulders while her back rests against the wall. Her deliciously wet pussy is just millimeters from my mouth, but only for a second, because I quickly bring her down onto my face.
My tongue delves deep, lapping up her juices before sucking on her clit. She grabs my head in her hands, pulling me closer. I suck, lick, nibble, and penetrate her throbbing and swollen pussy with my lips and tongue. I can’t get enough of her.
Her moans grow louder, bouncing off the walls in the hall. As I flick my tongue lightly back and forth over her sensitive clit, she yells out my name.
“Troy! Yes, yes! I’m coming. I’m coming.”
I grunt in response and slide my tongue inside as she pulsates around it.
Once I feel her body relax, I place her legs on the ground and rise to my feet. Wasting no time, I shove my pants and boxer briefs down, and pin her body with my own.
“It sounds much better when you’re screaming yes, than when you’re saying no,” I say before thrusting inside of her in one quick movement.
She grunts and wraps her legs around my waist, and her arms around my shoulders. I fuck her hard, slamming her down on my cock. Her cries of pleasure and fingernails digging into my skin turn me on even more.
“Yes, Troy. Give it to me. God, I love it,” she yells.
I move my hands from her waist to the soft flesh of her ass and lean her back against the wall. With one hand still holding her around my waist, I use the other to rub her clit.
“Yes, please don’t stop,” she begs.
I feel her muscles tightening around my cock and my body grows tense.
“You feel so fucking good, Emilie.”
“Yes. God, yes. I’m about to come!”
Right as she comes undone, I can’t hold back any longer, and with one hard thrust, my body stills as I join her in her release.
“I definitely prefer yes over no.”
“Shut up,” she says with a small laugh.
They were too consumed with anger, probably, that they didn’t even notice anybody was following them. I had watched as Troy tore my balloons, our balloons, from his house. He was angry, but probably only because she was with him. He had to put on a show. He couldn’t let on that the balloons and announcement made him remember our good times together.
When they left, I made sure to stay a good distance behind them. I was unsure of where they were headed at first, but as we got closer, I realized that he was dropping her off at home. Good. She didn’t deserve to be anywhere near him.
Hope filled me. Maybe she had finally had enough and didn’t want to be with him anymore, but maybe it was him who realized he couldn’t be with her. She’d never be able to give him what I have and am willing to give him.
I park on the opposite side of the street and watch as they disappear towards her front door. Once I can no longer see them, I creep forward in my rental car, and get a good view. As soon as I pull up, they vanish into her apartment. The apartment I remember so vividly. I can only imagine how she felt when she saw for the first time what she looked like when she was unconscious on the floor.
If only I had crushed a few more pills or forced more alcohol in her system, I wouldn’t have to be worrying about her still. I’m just lucky that Troy believed the texts I sent from her phone and left when he did. I was still in her house when he pulled up. I recognized his car right away and had to make sure he didn’t see me leave.
I know that if I can get Emilie out of the picture, and remind Troy of our love and the connection we have always had, that I can win his heart. He has to know that nobody will ever love him like I do. Ever!
After waiting ten minutes in the car, I start getting worried about what they might be up to in there. If he were just dropping her off, he wouldn’t have stayed inside so long. Maybe they’re fighting and breaking up.
As I’m about to open my door to try to sneak towards a window, the front door opens and they both exit, but this time, Emilie has a bag. They don’t look happy, and they aren’t looking at each other, or holding hands, but why is she leaving with him?
My only choice is to follow them once again. I have to know what’s going on, so I can plan my next move. If she’s really this dumb to not get the hint to leave him the fuck alone, then I may have to step up my game. I have plenty of ideas for her. I guess I’ll have to use them after all.
A smile dances across my lips as I begin thinking of all the things I can do. Hopefully she plans on going back to work soon and leaving Troy’s side. I need to get them apart.
I watch as they drive into Troy’s garage and disappear from sight. Anger burns deep in my veins and I speed off, ready to plan my next attack.
Today’s the day I finally get to go back to work. I’ll never complain about having to go to work again. Okay, that’s probably a lie, but I’ll try not to complain too much. Having nothing to do has almost driven me insane. I’m grateful that I’ve had Troy, though, because if I didn’t, I’d probably be certifiable by now.
Troy isn’t happy about me going to work, but I’m not budging on this. I understand where he’s coming from, but who knows when fucking crazy pants is gonna be caught. I refuse to be a prisoner forever.
“You ready, babe?” Troy asks, as he smacks my ass while I’m putting some lip gloss on.
“Yep.”
As a part of mine and Troy’s compromise with me going back to work, I had to agree to let him drop me off and pick me up. I figure that’s not too big of a deal, so I agreed.
“What are you doing?” I ask, as he drives past the building.
“Finding parking.”
“Why? You could have just pulled up front and I would have gotten out there.”
He’s quiet for a few seconds too long and I’m instantly curious.
“What are you up to?” I ask as I turn in my seat and
scrutinize him.
“I just thought I’d go in for some coffee. It is The Coffee House, and it is seven in the morning.”
“You are something else,” I say with a hint of laughter.
He turns and smirks at me before pulling into a parking spot.
Once we’re inside, Troy takes a seat while I start getting everything ready. Chris and Audrey should be here soon, but I’ve missed doing this. Once the coffee machines are up, I make Troy a cup and take it to him.
“Your coffee, sir,” I say jokingly.
He smacks my ass again as soon as I place the cup on the table.
“Hey! Is that how you treat all your servers?”
“Just the ones I’m in love with.”
My heart does a few flips and I smile at him. “Oh. Well, that’s okay then.”
I sit on his lap and give him a passionate kiss. My tongue massages his, and I soon find myself getting wet. I have to force myself off of him.
“Is this how you treat all your customers?” he asks with a small grin.
I pretend to think about it. “Umm… yes.”
He pulls me back down into his lap and tickles my sides as he nibbles on my neck. “Yeah right.”
I start laughing and trying to fight him off. “Okay, I was kidding,” I say between fits of laughter.
“Better be,” he says before quickly kissing my lips. “Now get to work while I read the paper.”
I scowl at him and put my hands on my hips. “Mmhmm. And how long are you planning on staying here?”
“Not long,” he says with a shrug, already looking at the paper.
“Sure.”
I walk to the office to grab the money to put in the register. By the time I’m back up front, Audrey and Chris are both there.
“Hey! It’s good to see you,” Chris announces as I walk in.
“How are you, boss?” Audrey asks.
“I’m good. How are you guys? How’s work been?”
“Everything has been fine. No problems,” Chris answers.
“Good.”
They were told I was in an accident, but they don’t know the details about what really happened and I want to keep it that way.
“How long are you gonna be here today?” Audrey asks.
I notice Troy peek over his paper and look at me.
“Oh, I don’t know.”
“Well, it’s good to have you back,” Audrey says before turning her attention to the display case.
“Thanks.”
I walk back to the office and begin getting caught up with emails, phone messages, and bills. The manager seems to have taken care of a lot of things, so there’s really not much for me to do. Ten minutes after I’ve been in the office, Troy’s large figure fills the doorway.
“Hey.”
“Hey, yourself,” I reply.
“I guess I’m gonna go.”
I raise an eyebrow. “Oh yeah? To where? Across the street?”
“Ha ha,” he says unamused. “I have work to do too. I just wanted to let you know I was leaving.”
He strides towards me. He’s wearing a white long-sleeved shirt that fits his body perfectly. Even through the material I can see the bulging muscles in his chest and arms. The color contrast against his skin tone is perfect. I find myself salivating at just the thought of what’s hiding underneath his clothes.
“You better stop looking at me like that,” he says as he pulls me up from my chair. “Or I’m gonna have to bend you over and fuck you across this desk.”
I bite my lip and moan. “If that’s a threat, I don’t think it’s going to make me stop.”
He grins and pulls me into him by my ass. “Maybe later.”
I get on my tiptoes and give him a kiss. “I’ll be sure to remind you.”
“Okay. Well, I’m heading out. Be safe. I’m going to have my phone on me, call or text if you need me and I’ll be here.”
“I don’t think that’ll be necessary, but I appreciate it.”
He looks down at me like he wants to say more, but he bites his tongue. “I love you.”
“I love you, too,” I say with a smile.
After he walks out, I catch up on a few things before Audrey shows up in the doorway.
“Hey. Your friend is here. Can I send her back?”
“Sure.”
I start organizing the mess on my desk and look up when I see Adrienne walk in with a coffee cup in hand.
“Hey, what’re you doing here?” I ask.
She shrugs and looks around before taking a seat. “Just thought I’d pop in and say hi.”
I narrow my eyes at her. “Did Troy tell you to stop by?”
Her eyes widen a little too much. “No!”
I laugh because I know she’s lying. “Uh huh.”
“Can’t a girl visit her friend at work anymore?”
“Sure she can. When she’s not doing it to keep an eye on said friend,” I say, pinning her with a look.
She scoffs. “Anyway, how’s it going?”
With a shake of my head, I answer. “Good. I haven’t been here too long.”
“When are you getting off?”
“Not sure. Probably three or so.”
“Do you have plans for lunch?” she asks.
“I think Troy was gonna come back and get me.”
“Oh, okay.”
“You guys need to stop being so worried. Nothing is going to happen to me. I finally got out of the house, and now you two are taking shifts on coming here. I’m fine, really. I’m not worried, so you shouldn’t be.”
Adrienne lets out a loud sigh and puts her cup on my desk. “I’m sorry, Em. You know I love you, and of course I worry about you.”
I smile at her. “I know, and I appreciate that, but I’m a grown woman and I just don’t want to feel like I’m under surveillance all the time.”
She gives me a sad smile. “I get it.”
“So, are you off today?”
“Yes! Thank God.”
I laugh. “Is Mrs. Roberts driving you crazy, yet?”
“Not really. She’s just being herself,” she says with a laugh.
“Where’s Jace?”
“He had to do something for this new club thing.” She pauses for a minute and looks like she’s thinking about something. “He’s being weird.”
I furrow my brows. “What do you mean?”
“I don’t know. He’s just being different.”
She looks worried, but then I remember that Jace is thinking about asking her to move in. He’s probably just nervous.
“Bad different?”
“Not really. I don’t know what it is.”
“I think the guys are just getting a little distracted by this new club purchase and everything that goes into that.”
“Yeah, you’re probably right.” She waves her hand dismissively. “Anyway, I’ll leave you alone,” she says with a wink. Call me later or something.”
“I will,” I say with a smile. “Thanks, Adrienne, for understanding.”
“Of course.”
“Love you.”
A smile lights up her face. “Love you.”
By the time lunch time comes around, I’m surprised I haven’t heard from Troy. I figured he would have been checking up on me, but I’m grateful he’s letting me have my time that I fought for.
I pull out my phone and send him a text.
Me: Hey, babe. You still comin’ to get me for lunch?
Several minutes go by without a response. After fifteen minutes has passed, I text one more time, and he still doesn’t respond.
I text Adrienne next.
Me: Hey, have you heard from Jace? I’m wondering if him and Troy are still in a meeting or something. Troy hasn’t gotten back to me about lunch.
Adrienne: I just talked to him, actually. He said he was on his way home.
Me: Hmm. Okay.
Adrienne: Do you want me to go pick you up? We can go have lunch together.
Me: No, t
hat’s okay. I can just eat some of the pastries we have here. I’ll text you later.
Adrienne: If you’re sure.
Me: Yeah, no worries. : )
I put on my coat and walk to the front of the store. “Hey, I’m gonna walk down to that little diner down the street. You guys want something?” I ask Audrey and Chris as I head to the door.
“Yeah, a burger is good,” Chris answers.
“Chicken salad, please,” Audrey replies.
“Okay. I’ll be back soon.”
I debate on whether or not to call Troy. He did say he’d have his phone on him and that he’d be here if I needed him, but he hasn’t responded. However, I did want my independence, so I shouldn’t be all psycho about calling and texting him.
I try to quicken my pace, but there are a lot of people walking along the same street. No doubt other people on their lunch break. I weave in and out of people, just wanting to get inside somewhere warm. It’s probably only forty something degrees, and that’s just too damn cold for me. These slow walking ass people don’t seem to mind it as much.
I bring my hands up to my mouth to try to warm them up with my breath. I instantly regret not bringing gloves, but I didn’t plan on walking anywhere. As I move past an older man who’s stopped in the middle of the sidewalk to text on his phone, I feel a slight tug on my coat.
Turning around quickly, I search for someone who was trying to get my attention, but nobody pays me any mind. Assuming it was just someone brushing against me as they walked by; I continue my fast-paced walk to the diner.
As I approach the restaurant’s front door, I’m looking into the reflective glass windows and think I notice someone in the reflection watching me. I snap my head around and scour the area behind me. For a brief second I think I see a woman who looks similar to Carla, on the other side of the street, rushing towards the door to a boutique.
She moved too quickly for me to be sure, but I’m left with an uneasy feeling. Part of me wants to grab the food and leave, but there’s another part that wants to walk into that boutique to see if I was right.
I continue looking across the street into the store, but I can’t see into the windows clearly. When I think I see someone standing by the edge of the window, I take a step towards the street.
