“Come on. Don’t be a pussy.”
“You even know that word?”
“I have been reading Human stuff. You know.”
“I can tell that.” Jason said in a worried tone.
“Look.” Gloria said and threw an egg in her mouth.
Jason slowly opened his mouth. Just at this moment, Gloria rammed the egg in his mouth.
It was juicy and sweet. The texture was more like a gel thing and it slowly dissolved in the mouth.
“How is it?”
“It’s pretty good.” Jason said happily.
Gloria fed Jason another one.
“So why the name of the tree is that long?” Jason asked curiously.
“Well, it was from ancient Glycanese. So is my name.” Gloria said professionally.
“Do say.”
“Most people think if the name start with G, then that Glycan is from G family. It is true. But G didn’t mean what they think. It means an ancient Glycanese word TIuieoihghr. It was a family name. Because nobody speaks ancient Glycanese anymore, they just use G to represent Tluieoihghr and put it before that person’s real name. So Gloria is actually Tuieoihghr Loria. They always just make it Gloria for the sake for laziness.” Gloria said like an expert.
Jason liked how Gloria kept a serious face while he was squeezing her ass. Gloria acted like she didn’t feel it. But Jason could see she was sweating.
“It’s getting hot here.” Gloria said as she took off her uniform. Her nipples were getting hard and sticking out of the white tank.
“They are really getting excited.” Jason said as he pulled hard on her left nipple.
“Yea. Sorry. Let me take this tank off. It’s getting in the way.” Gloria said in a begging voice.
Jason watched her beautiful body for a while. He really wanted to take her right now. But he was worried Klaycon showed up again and triggered some kind of alarm.
“Gloria, it’s getting late. Let’s go.” Jason said, his voice shaking. It was so hard for him.
“Did I do something wrong? You like to play them with my clothes on? I can do that. Just tell me.” Gloria said eagerly.
“Gloria, we have time.” Jason said kindly and kissed her cheek.
“OK. I am always yours.” Gloria said happily and put her clothes back on.
“I am yours as well.” Jason said sincerely. He knew if they wanted to stay together, he had to finish Klaycon first.
Chapter 67
Three days before the game against the first class species, Jason received the notice that his opposing team in the first round was Glycan. He told this news to his teammates at lunch and everyone agreed that they were done. Jason was thinking their strategy the whole day, even when he was cleaning toilets. But after he cleaned all toilets, he still didn’t have a clue, so he decided to forget about it and focused on what he could do. He went back to his dorm and attached two tactical knives on his belt. He had been thinking about killing Klaycon since the night Klaycon triggered the fire alarm.
When Jason reached the Glycan library, he called Klaycon using the badge given by Gloria.
Klaycon was so excited when he answered the call. He thought it was Gloria, but then he heard Jason’s voice.
“Did you enjoy what you saw the other day in the medical complex?” Jason said in a provocative tone.
“I guess we both want to finish this before the actual match.” Klaycon said angrily.
“I am in the Glycan library. Let’s finish it.” Jason said calmly, and then hanged up.
Klaycon put on his uniform and rushed out of his room. Five minutes later, he stepped into the library. As soon as he saw Jason, he darted to him, his uniform transforming into an armor suit, a dagger popping out of his right fist.
Jason took out the tactical knives, one on each hand, running towards Klaycon.
“Bang.” Jason blocked Klaycon’s dagger with the knife on his right hand.
Klaycon pushed the blade towards Jason with two hands. Jason started to have that weird feeling again. It was like something was coming out of his bones and fueled his strength. He thrust the other knife at Klaycon’s neck but it only made a scratch.
As the dagger came closer to Jason’s face, Klaycon asked, “Is this all you get?”
“You really like talking.” Jason said calmly as he started to push the dagger back. He was now forcing the dagger towards Klaycon. As Klaycon struggled to hold his ground, Jason suddenly kicked Klaycon’s belly and knocked him back several steps. Klaycon quickly regained his balance and dodged Jason’s punch. He jabbed his fists at Jason, but all ended up beating the air. When Klaycon fired another quick blow, Jason didn’t dodge. Just when it hit Jason’s left cheek, Jason grabbed Klaycon’s wrist. Bearing the pain on his face, Jason swiftly drew Klaycon close to him. Klaycon kicked Jason’s belly and kept the other arm out of Jason’s reach. All of a sudden, Jason darted forward. Klaycon was caught off guard and lost his balance. Jason pushed Klaycon forward until Klaycon hit the wall. Then he quickly grasped Klaycon’s other arm and cornered him. Even though Klaycon was kicking Jason on his belly, Jason didn’t let it go. He pulled Klaycon’s arms across his chest and then pressed one on the other. When Jason was just about to free one hand to choke Klaycon, he felt a sharp pain at the back of his head. His brain went blank and he slumped on the floor.
Klaycon looked around and caught Carila standing in the distance.
“Klaycon, are you alright?” Carila asked caringly.
“What are you doing here?” Klaycon asked unhappily.
“I just saved your life, Klaycon.”
“Who the fuck ask you to save me? I had it under control.” Klaycon growled.
“I just want to help.” Carila said in a begging voice.
“Shut the fuck up. And how do you know I am here? Did you bug me?” Klaycon asked furiously.
“No. I was just hanging around and saw you leave in a hurry.” Carila said sadly.
“Now, this is great. I am supposed to be the one killing this fuck.”
“I think he is still alive.”
Suddenly, five security guards ran into the library.
“You called them in?” Klaycon asked.
“I just want to make sure...”
“Shut up!” Klaycon interrupted Carila.
The guards didn’t ask Carila or Klaycon any question. The situation was clear: a second class species trespassed on the first class species zone. That was all they cared. They called in a robot to carry Jason out of the library.
The punishment for Jason’s trespass was implemented the next day. He was whipped 50 times on his back in front of all second class species trainees. To everyone’s surprise, he was still alive after the punishment. That was the first in the history of Guardian Fleet training center. There were two trainees who committed such crimes and they died in the middle of flagellation. However, it did take Jason several weeks to fully recover.
First class species also punished Jason’s team and removed it from the game. Everyone in the team was actually happy about this. They knew they stood no chance at all.
Chapter 68
It had been three months since Mark started working as a gunman. For the money he made, he was able to afford John’s phase I treatment. When he worked as a mine worker and a spy, he only had enough money to keep John’s situation stable and now he finally got the treatment started. Sometimes Mark even thought that he should had gone into drug business early.
Mark hadn’t contacted Jason for the past three months, but he knew Jason was doing alright. He learned from Salmon that Jason survived the flagellation. Even though he didn’t know the details, he had a hunch that it might have something to do with sneaking into first class species zone.
It was the end of summer. The heat in the slum was cooling down, but the drug business was heating up. For drug dealers, it was one of the busiest time of a year, because most of non-Human buyers flocked to Earth during this time. Deals with those buyers went wrong frequently
. Quite a few old guys got killed while doing transactions with other species.
Mark, Pennington and other five guys were standing right in front of a two-floor old house. Salmon was strolling in front of them. They were waiting for a drug dealer from north.
The big steel gate opened. A jeep slowly stumbled in and then stopped in front of Salmon. Except the driver, there were three people in the jeep: a small and thin guy with dreadlocks, a bulky guy and a girl. Mark could clearly tell that the small guy was the dealer and the big guy was his bodyguard. But the girl was somehow difficult to read. She was wearing a black head cover and a big sunglass. It was very unusual for a girl to involve in drug business.
“Long trip?” Salmon asked nicely.
“Yea, my friend.” The small guy said as he got off the car, followed by the girl and the big guy.
“I am Salmon.”
“Name is Tioto. These two are my bodyguards.”
“You ran out of man?” Salmon chuckled.
“You got to have a woman around especially on a long trip.” Tioto said with a dirty smile.
Both Salmon and Tioto laughed loudly. They walked into the house. There was only one table and two chairs in the living room. Salmon sat next to the table and said, “Make yourself at home.”
Tioto sat across the table. The girl and the big guy stood behind Tioto. Mark and Pennington stood behind Salmon. Two other guys were guarding the doorway.
“This is what I have. It is good stuff.” Tioto said coldly as he threw a pouch on the table. It contained some gel like material.
“We didn’t talk much on the phone and if I remember correctly, you are looking for someone who can sell this in our territory.”
“Something like that. I do have a more ambitious business proposal, but I don’t think you can make the call.” Tioto said.
“What do you mean?”
“I can tell you are not the boss. I will say you are the head of the security.” Tioto said firmly.
Salmon was surprised but he didn’t show it on the face. He leaned back leisurely and ask, “Really? You think so?”
“I know so.” Tioto said confidently.
“I can guarantee you I am the one you want to talk to. If you want, we can talk business.” Salmon said calmly.
“If you say so.” Tioto said and paused for a second. Then he smiled and said, “It seems you can make the call. Well, I will provide you the receipt and you can make that stuff. Then you sell it.”
“How much can I get?”
“Half.”
“So I provide everything and get half.”
“That is correct. In six month, this new product will drive all your competitors out of business.”
While Salmon and Tioto were talking about business, Mark was checking out the big guy and the girl. Her heart-shaped face looked so familiar and Mark felt like he met her somewhere before. All of a sudden, the girl turned to Mark. Even though she was wearing the big sunglass, Mark knew she was looking at him. Then his memory flashed back and he realized this face belonged to the Hylocan girl he saved on that secret planet.
The girl quickly turned her head away.
Now Tioto was looking at Mark Nervously. Then he quickly stood up and said, “It seems to me that you are not that interested in my proposal. I think we can talk next time.”
Salmon couldn’t understand why Tioto looked so worried and scared, but he could tell it might have something to do with Mark.
“It’s really a pleasure, but I gotta go.” Tioto said politely.
“If you leave the girl, yes.” Mark said coldly as he pointed his rifle at Tioto.
“What are you talking about, Mark?” Salmon asked in surprise.
“The girl is a Hylocan and she has been reading our minds since she got here.” Mark said calmly.
“What? Are you fucking kidding me? Hylocan?” Tioto shouted ironically.
“Colonel, trust me! The girl is a Hylocan. Remove her head cover and sunglasses, then you will know.” Mark said confidently.
“Apparently, this is a misunderstanding. But I am quite sure you wouldn’t mind we take a good look at the girl. It’s really strange someone bring a girl into a business like this.” Salmon said easily as he motioned the other two guys to shut the door.
Tioto didn’t say a word, his hands shaking, his face covered in sweat.
“I will take it as a yes. Pennington.” Salmon said coldly.
Pennington walked to the girl, grabbed her sunglasses and pulled her head cover away. Her crystal blue eyes were glowing like sapphire. Salmon immediately knew she was a Hylocan. He strolled to Tioto and said, “You brought a Hylocan with you. I was wondering how you know I am the head of security.” He punched Tioto on the face. Tinto slumped on the floor, blood spewing out of his nose and mouth.
“As for you, my little lady, you know that I don’t plan to kill you. Is this why you stay calm and relaxed? I can tell you this. For Human like me, our mind changes quickly. Now you see what I am thinking. I am quite sure my men will like that.” Salmon said with an evil smile. Then he turned to Pennington and said, “Lock them up, separately. Cover her eyes all the time.”
Later Pennington had Tioto, Lisania and the big guy locked up separately in the underground prison cells.
Chapter 69
For Jason, the past three months flew by in a blink. The good news was the investigation regarding his absence in training center finally came to an end and those administrative officers didn’t find out what really happened. Given the fact that Jason had been cleaning toilets for the past three months, they exempted him from other punishments. Also his study group finally turned in the dark energy paper. The bad news was he failed chemistry, physics and biology in the final. Because of this he received a warning that if the situation didn’t improve in the next semester, he would be expelled. Jason didn’t really worry about it, because he did pretty well in military exams.
After final weeks, everyone was packing for the vacation. Excitement, happiness and energy flooded the entire second class species zone.
Jason woke up around noon and saw Erikon and Lucis packing. Erikon simply piled everything and rammed them into bags. Lucis fold everything carefully and placed them in order.
“Happy to go home, huh?” Jason asked.
“That is under the statement.” Lucis said happily.
“So, Jason, you come with me this holiday?” Erikon asked.
“No, not this time.”
“Let me guess, you have plans with Gloria, right?” Erikon asked jealously.
“Yea, we will do some travelling.”
“She knows other Glycan girls right? I mean, you know, you can’t take them all.” Erikon said seriously.
“First, I didn’t plan to take another one. Second, don’t you remember you tell me how dangerous to date a Glycan?” Jason said happily.
“He probably thinks about one night stand.” Lucis said.
“Man, you just read my mind.” Erikon said as he high-fived Lucis.
“Oh, by the way, Jason. After you finish travelling, why not join us on the colony? We will have some fun.” Lucis said happily.
“After I come back, I need to go to earth to make sure Lisania is alright. Then I can join you guys.”
“Man, I am thinking what if both girls fall in love with you like crazy. Then what will happen? The hatred of thousands of years mixed with girls’ jealousy will be like a big bang.” Erikon said excitedly.
“Here we go.” Lucis laughed.
Just at this moment, Titainein called Jason on his watch.
“Hi, Titainein.”
“Jason, Idi is leaving. Let’s see her off.” Titainein said happily.
“Sure, we are on the way.” Jason said.
Erikon and Lucis quickly packed everything, carried on their bags and went out with Jason. Their ride would leave 10 minutes after Idi’s ride.
When they arrived at the hangar, Titainein, Orizy, Sayilin were already there. Idi was so excite
d that she could barely stand still. She hugged everyone and went aboard on the vessel.
Jason and others chatted about the holiday. Sayilin would go to Itiotem, a famous resort, with his family. Orizy would stay at his home and help his family in the farm. Titainein would spend the holiday carrying out some royal duties. Her family was one of the royal families running the Tizuee government.
After Jason saw everyone off, he suddenly felt so lonely in the empty dorm. But he knew this kind of solitude wouldn’t last long, because Gloria would finish all her finals soon.
Chapter 70
Gloria was packing for the trip she had long planned with Jason. She was so looking forward to this trip that she wrote down everything she needed about a month ago.
“Knock, knock, knock.”
Gloria opened the door and saw Klaycon holding a bouquet of purple flowers and smiling nervously.
“Hi, Gloria, how are you doing?”
“What do you want?” Gloria said with a straight face.
“I just want to give you this and maybe...”
“Klaycon, I have made this clear a long time ago. I don’t love you. You are wasting your time.”
“I know. I know. But we can just be friends.” Klaycon said in a begging voice.
“I don’t have any friend. Do I need to remind you this?” Gloria said coldly.
“That is why it will be good to have one.”
“Klaycon, you shouldn’t be doing this to yourself. You and I are different. There is no foundation for a friendship.”
“We are different? You are seeing a Human and you say we are different.” Klaycon said sadly.
“Bye.” Gloria said as she slammed the door closed.
Klaycon stood there for a while. Before he came here, he knew it would end like this, but he just couldn’t help. He let out a long sigh and left.
When Klaycon went back to his room, his sister Kuzania was waiting for him. They had planned to leave together for their home on Sylareon.
“Look like someone was kicked in the ass.” Kuzania said directly.
“It happens from time to time.” Klaycon said sadly.
