The soldiers of Qarath chased them back through the pass and then down the steep slope, howling and killing. Qarath had won the first great battle of the war.
But their triumph was short lived.
One minute they exulted and the next something tore open inside each one of them.
As one, the Qarathian army stopped and looked to the south, all of them knowing instinctively what had just happened.
The prison was broken.
Melekath was free.
The story continues in Hunger’s Reach.
Before you go!
I’d like to thank you for reading Guardians Watch. As much as I love writing, it takes readers to make the experience complete. A journey shared is a much more powerful experience.
You may not be aware of this, but reviews are vitally important to unknown authors like me. They give other potential readers an idea of what to expect. So, if you have the time to leave one, I’d very much appreciate it. If you’re busy (and who isn’t?) leave a short one. Even one sentence is enough!
