Remembering Melaina Page 16

by Maia Dylan

Ty had called earlier, just as they stepped into the house. Kyle had taken the call, and from the sad look on his face, she knew they were talking about their lost friend. Melaina hadn’t had the opportunity of meeting the young wolf, but he had fought for her and paid the ultimate price. She would never have the opportunity to thank him. Grant had ushered her directly into the kitchen.

Kyle had joined them a few minutes later, and walked straight to her, wrapping his arms around her and she could almost feel the heavy weight of sadness in his heart. They’d shared a quick light meal before they ushered her into the shower, which she had as hot as she could stand it. When she finally felt clean, maybe not completely but enough to face the world beyond the shower walls, she climbed out, dried herself with the warmed towel over the rail, and walked out of the bathroom naked and came to a halt in the doorway.

The room was lit with candles, the scent of sandalwood filling the room. And both her men stood at the foot of the bed, fresh from their own showers, wearing towels slung low around their hips. The looks they sent in her direction had everything within her heating to a simmer, her body softening and liquid heat pooling between her thighs.

“Jesus, Mel,” Grant murmured, his eyes traveling down her body, his heated gaze burning a path down her body. “You are so damn beautiful. I look at you, and you take my breath away.”

Kyle took a step closer to her. “Take your hair down, baby.”

With a sultry smile, Melaina lifted both hands to her hair, loving that both men’s eyes dropped to her chest as her breasts lifted with the move. She reveled in the twin growls that followed as she released the clip holding her hair up and letting the silken strands of her hair float over her shoulders.

“You are a damn dream come true.” Kyle’s voice sounded almost harsh, then he stepped up to her, swept her off her feet, and into his arms. His head swooped toward hers for a kiss, one that she eagerly returned. His tongue tangled with hers and her arousal began to build within her. By the time he gently pulled back, they were sitting on the side of the bed.

“Oh, God!” Melaina cried out as Kyle gently pulled her down over him, his cock sliding into her until he was buried to the hilt within her.

Melaina threw her head back, rolling her hips in a slow circle, moaning at the full feeling of having him buried so deeply with her.

“Fuck!” Kyle growled. “You feel so damn good wrapped around me. Move on me, baby, move on me.” Melaina took her cue from his hands where they clutched her hips. She moved on him slowly, pushing up and moving back down with a few quick circles of her hips, pleasuring both with her movements.

“Come with me, love,” Kyle murmured breathlessly, tugging her down so that she leaned over him, her hands pressed to his chest. “That’s it. Jesus, you look so hot, riding me and taking me in.” Melaina moaned as she followed his gaze and watched his thick, hard cock sliding out of her body, glistening with the result of her own arousal before she moved back down on him and his girth disappeared within her once again.

Melaina stilled when she felt Grant step closer behind her, and she felt his hand slide over her ass. “I never knew how fucking hot it would be to watch you fuck Kyle, but as hot as it is, I can’t wait any longer.”

She moaned at the cold, wet feel of Grant’s lubed fingers sliding down over her back entrance. When his fingers pushed inside her, scissoring back and forward, working the lubricant within her and preparing her to take him, she felt her body start to tremble.

“Christ!” Kyle groaned through gritted teeth, his body tightening below her. “Whatever the hell you are doing, Grant, our mate is loving the hell out of. She just drowned my dick with her cream.”

Grant gave a small breathless groan as he positioned the blunt head of his dick against her back entrance. “If she loved that, then this is going to make her lose her mind.” Then he was pushing within her and Melaina couldn’t hold her response to it back.

She threw her head back and keened her pleasure to the room. She held herself still as Kyle and Grant began to move in unison with her, sliding in and out at the same time. For a moment, the pleasure was almost too much, and she felt as if she were experiencing the moment outside of her body. Then her mates’ movements changed. When once they had moved with purpose and in unison, they now appeared desperate and jerky. Melaina could only hold herself still, taking what they gave her.

The orgasm built within her at a frightening rate, and she wailed at the intensity of it as it approached. Then it was crashed over her. She screamed her pleasure to the room, certain that the strength of it would destroy her. Just as she started to feel as if she might survive the pleasure, her mates struck, biting into the soft and sensitive flesh where her neck met her shoulder, claiming her again. Melaina’s eyes slammed shut as lights in her body seemed to explode.

When she opened her eyes, she found herself lying in the hot spa bath in the master bathroom, sprawled back against Grant’s chest as her legs were held in Kyle’s lap.

“Welcome back, Blue Eyes,” Kyle murmured, rubbing the inner arch of her feet and making her sigh.

“Mmmm, that feels good.” Her voice sounded hoarse, no doubt from all the screaming she’d been doing. She figured with the pleasure her men had given her, there was no way anyone could blame her. She sighed as she settled back into the hot water.

“You checked out there for quite a while, Mel.” Grant’s chest rumbled gently behind her as he spoke. “Are you okay?”

She made a sound of complete contentment and grinned at the twin growls her men gave at the unintentionally sensuous move. “I am more than okay. I have you in my life, Aristos is no longer a threat, and all of my sisters are safe. I’m feeling pretty happy right now.” Her smile faded slightly when she thought about Pepper, and when her thoughts turned to the young man who lost his life that day, it disappeared completely.

“Hey,” Kyle said gently, scooting forward in the water so he could reach a hand up to cup her cheek. “You are allowed to feel happy, baby. Pepper is not lost to us. She will find her way back to us, and you will all be together. You, Parris, Xanthe, and Pepper are part of Grey River now. You are home.”

“And you can’t blame yourself for Jacob,” Grant added, moving her so that he could look into her face as well. Kyle’s hand slid from her cheek and she reached over to grasp it. “Every single person who stood and fought in that field today did so because it was the right thing to do, yes, but we were also protecting our way of life. That was Jacob’s right and his privilege and he would be the first person to frown at you and tell you not to think that way about what happened.”

Melaina stared into his eyes for a moment, then turned to stare into Kyle’s. Although there was sadness and loss, there was no judgment. She nodded, knowing that it would take some time for her to be as sure as they were.

Kyle rubbed his hand up her calf. “Baby, when you were in that hospital, and Aristos and his asshole doctor had you convinced you were someone else, did you remember us at all?”

“Yes.” There was no hesitation in her answer. “I couldn’t picture you or understand where the bond within me went, but I knew that you were out there. Aristos told me that I killed a man called Grant Snow, and everything within me rejected that.” Grant growled behind her and she petted his arm until he quieted. “Remembering you was easy because I could feel you in my heart. Remembering Melaina was harder.”

“How so?” Kyle asked with a frown.

“When I lay in the bed, I couldn’t imagine myself as I am. They continually told me that I was weak and that I had only my father to rely on. It was difficult to imagine that I could be who I really am.”

“You mean,” Grant said as he squeezed her in his arms, “hot, kick-ass, sexy, smart, and ours?”

Melaina giggled. “Kind of, I guess.”

“But now you remember who you were,” Kyle said with certainty and confidence.

“I do remember the Melaina of before, but I think I’m more t
han that now,” Melaina said as she moved to sit with her back against the side of the tub, putting her in a position to see both her mates at the same time. “I’m your mate.” Grant and Kyle both smiled at her, filling the void within her that had been there since she was a child with the light of their love. “I’m a part of Grey River, and I have my sisters with me to protect and learn to live in this new life now. I think I am going to enjoy being this Melaina for a while.”

Remembering Melaina had been the first step of her journey toward being who and where she was now. Her vengeance had restored her, and her life returned to her. Now, she just had to embrace everything it had to give her and live it. She had a feeling that living with her men here in the heart of Grey River, no day would be the same. And she wouldn’t have it any other way.
