Sherry said, “Did you ever wonder if that’s why they were set up as our mates? The goddess purposefully brought us together to make us stronger and more effective.”

Amber replied, “I did consider that, but it doesn’t matter. She wouldn’t have done it if we weren’t compatible, and wouldn’t be happy together.”

We were silent for a while as we did the books, and took care of our responsibilities.

Amber said, “Lunch? Is there anything else to be shared just between us?”

I bit my lip in thought, should I say something, or let them find out in time, and in their own way? I decided to keep my mouth shut, they didn’t need to know they were both pregnant, as was I. We were just fertilized in the last couple of days, far too early for medicine to pick up, but my magic was a different story altogether. I could already sense the new life forming in my body, and I’d surreptitiously checked my sisters earlier.

I wasn’t worried about them not setting right either, my magic would ensure it.

  “Nope, lunch sounds good.”

Amber gave me a suspicious look, but we all left the room and headed downstairs and got started on lunch. I’d felt guilty this morning because I hadn’t been up to cook with Amber and Sherry, but I’d caught Sherry’s look and remembered she’d done the same to us yesterday. First morning with a new mate, I guess we got a pass on things.

I hoped my mate would be back soon.

We were just finishing up as Grace, Danielle and Diana walked into the kitchen.

  Amber asked, “Where’s Monica?”

Grace shrugged, “Got me. She took off an hour ago, something about having plans for lunch. She was evasive about it when I asked with who. You know how she gets, she’ll tell us about it when she’s ready, if it’s important.”

I wondered what it was about, until I heard the front door, and it completely fled my mind when I heard my mate’s voice…

  ~ Author’s notes ~

Blessed be, and thank you for reading my work.

This was the third of seven planned books in the Taylor Coven series. Writing this novella was a labor of love, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did writing it. It would be a great help if you feel moved to leave a review, as a new author that kind of thing can really make a difference.

The Taylor Coven series will be a seven-book series of complete he-said she-said fantasy-romance novels without romance cliffhangers. There will be no cheating, or triangles. It would be best to read them in consecutive order to avoid spoilers, as the fantasy storyline will move forward as each of the coven witches meets their mate.

  ~ Book Description ~

Kimberly is the heart of the coven. The healer, nurturer, and the one most looked to for personal advice. The last few days have been difficult, but they’ve already made a lot of progress cleaning up the mess, and destroying the demons that escaped the gateway the night their parents died. She’s been thrilled that her sisters found their mates, but worries about the man the goddess picked out for her.

He doesn’t have the best reputation, and doubts about herself rise to the fore. Will she be able to get past it all, and accept her mate?

Derek and his brother Adam has been shadowing Tom for days now, and all he could think about the entire time was Kimberly. He was stupid for jumping at the chance to get out of there, but it was probably for the best anyway.

The next scheme by the demons is unclear, as Tom gets suspended from duty, and an investigation is opened into his actions and the deaths of the Taylor coven’s older generation. He’ll do whatever he can to help solve it, and thwart the demons’ design. Most importantly, it got him back to Kimberly’s side, a place he’s determined to stay. If she’ll let him.

Author’s Note: The Taylor Coven series of books will be seven he-said she-said romances told in the first person, each book will be a complete romance without romantic cliffhangers, cheating, or triangles. Although the series should be read in consecutive order for the fantasy arc, which is contiguous from book to book.

This is the third book of seven. If you haven’t read it yet, it’s recommended you start with Guardian Witch, the first book in the Taylor Coven series.
