by Lara Valentine

She swiveled her hips experimentally and was rewarded with a groan from Logan and heat and pleasure suffusing her entire body. She did it over and over until she was light-headed and Logan’s hands clamped onto her hips.

“Our beautiful girl wants to play games, Meyer. She thinks she’s in charge because she’s on top. I think we need to let her know who rules the bedroom around here.”

She felt rather than heard Meyer’s chuckle against her neck. She didn’t have time to respond before Logan quickly took control of the lovemaking, his grip firm, but gentle on her body. She had no choice but to follow his rhythm. Her palms rested on the bed, her arms braced as he pounded into her, taking her breath away and sending her spiraling into orbit. Each thrust rubbed his groin against her clit and she wanted to scream it felt so amazing. She’d never been fucked so well and so thoroughly.

She was too far gone to protest when she felt Meyer’s finger rubbing her honey around her back hole or when he pressed his digit insistently past the tight ring of muscles. He was deep inside her ass rubbing dark nerves she’d never knew existed when her orgasm took her over. She called out their names, the waves crashing into her like she was a fragile shell on the beach. It seemed like it would never end but it finally ebbed, her torso lying to the side of Logan. He must have come at some point and she silently cursed she hadn’t been able to see his face when he came.

Both men stroked and kissed her until Meyer carefully lifted her up into his arms. Logan groaned as he levered himself up, dropping a kiss on her nose. “I need to take care of the condom. Proceed without me.”

If she was in any doubt as to what Logan meant, Meyer quickly pressed her back on the mattress. At some point, he’d shed his clothes and donned a condom and his thick cock was probing at her entrance making her catch her breath all over again. She gripped his shoulders as he slowly pushed inside of her. This time her cunt didn’t protest at the invasion, but instead welcomed the influx of sensation.

Her entire being was on fire and she wrapped her legs around his lean waist as he powered into her, his strokes slow and steady until she thought she would fly apart from the maelstrom of pleasure each thrust evoked.

“More. Faster.” Her voice was thin and full of need but Meyer heard her. He built up speed, increasing the unbearable tension inside of her until she exploded into a thousand pieces. Her nails dug into his back and she cried out his name as her soul flew around the room and light glittered behind her eyes.

Meyer thrust in one last time, his expression fierce, his head thrown back, exposing the taut cords of his neck. She felt him jerk inside of her as his hot seed filled the condom. When it was over, he slumped on top of her. Their breathing was labored and their bodies covered with a fine sheen of sweat.

Now she knew what all the fuss was about.

Logan lay down next to her as Meyer pulled from her body, making her wince slightly. She was going to be sore tomorrow from the unaccustomed activity.

“Easy, beautiful. Meyer’s going to take care of the condom and then we’re all going to get some rest.”

She nodded, too tired to speak. She was exhausted. This day had certainly turned out much differently than she thought it would, but she wouldn’t complain. Tonight had been a revelation. She’d given pleasure, but Meyer and Logan had given her even more in return. She’d never had that happen before and she was still trying to wrap her mind around it.

Meyer came back with a warm cloth and cleaned her sticky thighs despite her protests.

“Relax, we made the mess. We’ll clean it up.”

  That sounds fair.

She realized with a jolt how few things in her life had been fair until now. Meyer padded back into the bathroom on bare feet, and then came to join them on the bed. He flicked off the bedside lamp and stretched out next to her, Logan on her other side. She was warm and contented, but she couldn’t sleep. Her mind was whirring a hundred miles an hour.

Logan and Meyer had treated her like something precious to them. They’d acted as if her feelings mattered. She wasn’t used to it and she wasn’t sure how to deal with it. She only knew she liked it.

Now she simply needed to come to grips with this new picture of how a relationship could truly be.

  Chapter Seven

Logan gritted his teeth to keep from swearing. He and Meyer weren’t making much progress on the Jean-Luc case. Every time they thought they had a promising lead, it led straight to a fucking dead end. Meyer was currently banging his fingers on his keyboard, clearly frustrated. Most of this case hung on Meyer’s ability to hack into systems better than Jean-Luc. So far, Meyer had come up with the short end of the stick. It made both of them cranky and short-tempered.

A short rap on the door made Logan swing around in his chair. Meyer was so engrossed in what he was doing he didn’t even flinch at the sound. Quinton Ellis and Pierce McDonald leaned in the doorway with big grins on their faces.

“You better have the results to back up those smiles,” Logan said.

Both men laughed and entered the office. Pierce slapped Logan on the back. “We do. You can consider the Anderson case closed. We followed the money all the way to an illegal gambling and prostitution ring. I have some friends at the federal level I can call in unless you have someone you’d rather call.”

Logan smiled. Finally, these cases were getting closed. Pierce, Quinton, and their partner, Ryker Hicks, were damn miracle makers. They’d been here less than a week and this was the second case they’d closed. Logan had made a good call bringing them to Plenty and hiring them full time. These guys were good.

“I have a contact I use. I’ll let our client know where the corporate money is being funneled and what the next steps are. Damn, it feels good to have a few things closed for a change instead of hanging around our necks like a fucking albatross.”

Quinton grinned. “Glad we’re getting some work done. So far, so good.”

“Is it good?” Logan asked. “You guys aren’t regretting moving here, are you? I don’t want to lose you.”

“You won’t,” Pierce replied. “We like the town, we like the residents, and Ryker is already acting a little more like his old self. It’s going to take some time to settle in, though. We need to find a place to live right away. That condo is too small for three grown men.”

There hadn’t been any cabins for rent or room at the B&B, but Sadie had managed to scrounge up Jillian and Cassie’s condo from when they first moved to Plenty. The owner of the condo complex was finding it was more lucrative to rent the units instead of selling them.

“It was fine for two tiny women, but I can see it might be small for you three. I have to say I’m relieved you like the town. I know it’s much smaller than you’re used to, but there are advantages to a quiet life.”

Quinton nodded. “It is much quieter, but we’re looking forward to slowing down. I’m not as enthused about having a gun to the back of my head as I was when I was younger. It doesn’t seem exciting anymore.”

“What does it seem now?” Logan asked.

Quinton laughed. “Stupid. I don’t have a fucking death wish. I like looking at this side of the grass and want to keep doing it for as long as possible. I think I’ve burnt out on adrenaline.”

Pierce nodded in agreement. “Same here. I’m done with not getting a shower for days and scraping by on three hours sleep a night for weeks on end. Fuck that. I want to sleep in a comfortable bed for a full eight hours. Call me an old fart, if you like.”

Logan laughed at the idea of Pierce as an old fart. He was probably thirty-five, tops, and in the prime of his life. All three men were in great shape. Even Ryker, who had been shot, was in better condition than most people. They’d certainly turned some heads since they’d been in town. The female residents of Plenty were buzzing about the handsome newcomers and wondering how to get their attention.

The only female Logan was concerned with these days was Sadie. They’d just spent two of the best weeks of their lif
e getting to know her. She was smart and funny, with a soft, gentle way about her. Logan was falling hard for their beautiful girl with golden curls and whiskey-brown eyes. Meyer was falling as well, but he never said much about it. He was more guarded with his feelings, although they ran just as deep.

The sex was also freaking fantastic. She’d been shy and tentative at first, but she was starting to shed her inhibitions. She loved watching Logan and Meyer go at it, and was always prodding them to kiss and touch. They had yet to make love in front of her, though. Both he and Meyer were concerned she might feel left out. Everything was going so well, they didn’t want to ruin anything.

“If you’re an old fart, I’m an old fart. I like my sleep as well.” Logan grinned. “Have you had any luck looking at houses?”

Quinton shrugged. “We’ve seen a few houses here in the historic district but we really want something already renovated. I don’t have the patience to rip out a kitchen and live like that for months. I’d like something built in the last five years or so. The realtor said she could show us something like that tonight.”

“Sounds good. Not everybody likes construction dust. Good luck.”

“Yes!” Meyer hissed. “I’ve got you, you slimy bastard. I’m tightening the noose, you piece of ever-loving shit.”

Quinton’s and Pierce’s eyebrows shot up, but Logan was used to Meyer talking to the laptop. For the first time in days, it sounded positive.

“On to something?” Logan walked behind Meyer and peered over his shoulder. Logan knew full well this pissed Meyer off, but what the hell. Logan was curious. The other two men gathered with him.

“I’m in.” There was triumph in Meyer’s voice. “I’m inside one of his servers. He thought he could fool me with phony IP addresses in Russia and China, but I have the bastard. He’s here in the states, Logan.”

Excitement coursed through Logan’s veins. They were finally closing in. They would get him this time. “Where? Can you disable his system?”

Meyer’s fingers were flying over the keys. “New Jersey. Specifically, Lodi. Damn, his system is sophisticated. I’m going to plant some code in here and see if we can’t start gathering some information.”

Logan did a mental fist pump and then turned to Pierce and Quinton. “Ever been to Lodi?”

Pierce grinned. “No, but I have the feeling we’ll soon have the pleasure.”

Logan nodded. “I’d like you to leave tonight. Go home and pack. I’ll have Sadie make plane reservations out of Tampa or Orlando. By the time you get back here, Meyer will have his location narrowed down. You can start asking around the neighborhood and see if you can find out anything. Don’t engage unless he comes to you.”

Pierce and Quinton agreed and headed out the door. Logan was certainly glad they were on the case. Logan could continue his work analyzing Jean-Luc’s patterns and try to get a step ahead of this guy.

Sadie stepped into the office. “Pierce and Quinton looked like they were in a big hurry. Is everything okay?”

“It’s better than okay.” Logan pulled her into his arms, loving the way she smelled so clean and fresh. He wanted to bury his face in her neck and breathe deeply, letting her scent fill his lungs. “Meyer’s found Jean-Luc. He’s injecting some code now so we can try and track him.”

Her eyes lit up. “That’s wonderful. So you can find him now?”

Logan shook his head. “It’s not that easy. Meyer can isolate where the servers are located but there’s no guarantee Jean-Luc is with those servers. Anyone else? Shit, Meyer would know what room in their house they were sitting in. Jean-Luc is another animal. Usually getting the location of an IP address is a piece of cake. With Jean-Luc, he bounces his signal off literally thousands of phony addresses. It’s like finding a needle in a haystack.”

Meyer was still bent over the laptop, barely noticing their existence. Logan dropped a kiss on the top of her head and pulled away. “We need you to get three seats on an airplane for Pierce, Quinton, and Ryker. Tonight. They need to go to Lodi to start investigating up there.”

“Lodi? Is that where Jean-Luc is?”

This time Meyer turned around. “Maybe. It’s where some of his systems are anyway.”

Sadie headed for the laptop on her desk. “I’ll find the nearest airport to Lodi. They’ll need a hotel and a rental car as well.” She started tapping on the keyboard. A stark contrast to Meyer’s pounding.

“Have you ever been this close before?” Sadie asked.

Meyer’s chair swung around so he was facing them. “Kind of. Last year I tracked him to a cluster of servers in Montreal. Turned out to be a dead end. He tricked us. That’s why I know this is really him. He’s blocking me from finding his exact location. Smart, but I’ve got him. I can feel it this time. We’re close.”

“I wish I understood half of this,” Sadie said. “It’s very cool but very confusing.”

Logan laughed. “I don’t understand most of it myself, babe. I see things on television and think they’re real. Meyer snickers at me and tells me I’m gullible.”

“I guess I’m gullible, too.” Sadie tucked a curl back behind her ear. “I can get them out of Orlando tonight to Newark on the red eye. It’s going be expensive.”

“Doesn’t matter. We need them there.”

Meyer turned back to his laptop. “I’ll be on here all night. Why don’t you take Sadie out for dinner? A date or something.”

That sounded like a damn good idea. They’d spent quite a bit of time together the last few weeks, but not much one on one time. This was an opportunity to rectify that.

“What do you say, beautiful? Pizza and bingo at the firehouse? My treat.”

Her gorgeous brown eyes sparkled. “Since it’s your treat, absolutely. Let me make these arrangements and I’ll start getting ready.” She nodded toward Meyer. “We can bring him back some pizza.”

“Good idea.” Logan reached down and rubbed Meyer’s shoulders. He was working too hard, but then Logan had been pulling crazy hours as well. “Promise me you’ll take a break or two while we’re gone. It’s not good for you to sit for hours on end in front of the glowing box, babe.”

Meyer barely registered his words. “Sure.”

Logan’s fingers tightened and he whirled the chair around so Meyer was facing him. Meyer looked pissed but Logan didn’t give a shit. “I mean it. I love you and you need to take care of yourself. We can’t get this guy if you kill yourself with work, understand? Now fucking promise me.”

Meyer’s lips tightened in mutiny and then relaxed. He took a deep breath, his entire frame seeming to go limp. “I promise. I’m sorry. It’s just I’m so damn close.”

Logan tugged Meyer out of the chair, hearing his back pop in a couple of places. How long had Meyer already been at the keyboard without a break? He pulled the man he loved into his arms. “Apology accepted. Now kiss me like you love me.”

Meyer smiled. “I do love you. Even when you’re being a pain in the ass.” Meyer leaned in and kissed Logan with passion and possession, their tongues rubbing against each other sending sparks straight to his dick. They were both breathing hard when the kiss was over. Meyer nodded to Sadie over Logan’s shoulder.

  “She likes watching us kiss.”

Logan turned and indeed their woman did look aroused. Her face was flushed and she was chewing on her lower lip. Her fingers were gripping a pen and she was fidgeting in her chair.

“It’s hot,” she said defensively. “Meyer grabbed your ass and all I could think about was when I grab your ass during sex.”

Sadie had come a long way since that first night when she’d been so shy. She had turned out to be a sensuous creature with a high sex drive. A sex drive that matched their own, thank goodness. She was every bit as enthusiastic about exploring their bodies as they were about hers.

Meyer crooked a finger, beckoning to her. “Why don’t you come here and give me some sugar so I can keep working all night?”

  Her face turned a
darker red but she got up from her desk and walked up to them. Logan could feel the warmth from her body and he ran his hand down her back. “Give Meyer a kiss, babe. He’ll miss us tonight.”

Meyer gathered Sadie up in his arms and practically bent her backward, kissing her like he was going off to war. Sadie was disheveled and breathless when he let her up for air, but she shocked both of them when she fell to her knees, reaching for Meyer’s zipper.

“I think I know what you need to tide you over while we’re gone.”

  * * * *

Sadie was starting to get the hang of this. She’d learned in the last two weeks that her men gave unconditionally. They didn’t expect her to give them oral sex if she didn’t want to. They didn’t expect her to even have sex if she wasn’t in the mood. They genuinely seemed to enjoy giving her pleasure. It hadn’t been difficult to start enjoying giving to them as well. Sami and Becca had been right. She really did want to give to someone. She’d simply been surprised she had anything to give.

Her men made sure she was always filled with happiness, pleasure, and desire.

She tugged Meyer’s zipper down and pushed his jeans and boxers down his thighs. He groaned as she ran her hands up and down the thick shaft, licking at the mushroom head. She ran her tongue in the slit and his hand reflexively grabbed the back of her head.

“Yes,” he hissed. His eyes had closed and his head as thrown back. She worked on his cock, her head bobbing as Logan pulled Meyer’s lips to his own. Sadie felt her own arousal simmer as she watched her men kiss and touch. It was hotter than anything she’d ever seen or read about.

Meyer’s balls were pulled up tight to his body and she knew he was close. She sped up her efforts and was rewarded with his hoarse cry into Logan’s mouth and the swelling of Meyer’s cock in her own. His hot, salty seed jetted into the back of her throat and she swallowed greedily to keep up, licking him clean when he was done. She sat back on her heels and surveyed her handiwork. Meyer now looked a hundred times more relaxed than when she’d entered the office.
