That East Side Love 2 Page 12

by Lucinda John

Opening the door, I was greeted by a kiss that took my breath away. Bobby carried me to my room and we made the sweetest love ever. Dripping with his body fluids, I laid on his chest, a spot that was designed especially for me.

  “I love you DeeDee.”

“I love you too Bobby,” I replied closing my eyes, with thoughts of Zoe invading my mind. Damn.

  Chapter 18

  Justice

“What’s cooking good looking?” I asked Erica as I wrapped my arms around her waist.

“Deri cole, poul avek souse,” (rice and chicken with gravy) she replied with a smile.

“Damn, keep that shit up and a nigga might marry your ass for real,” I said smacking her on the ass.

Before I could walk to the bathroom to wash my ass, there was a knock at my door. No one knew where I laid my head so I pulled out my gun as I walked to the door. Sucking my teeth, I tucked my gun in the small of my back as I opened the door for my good for nothing mother.

“Ki sa ou vle ?” (What do you want?) I asked opening the door.

“Eske se sa ke ki jan ou pale ak manman ou ?” (Is that how you talk to your mother?) she replied.

“Ou se pa manman, ou jis yon femèl chen ki te bay nesans rive nan m '.” (You are not mother, you just a bitch that gave birth to me.) I snapped.

“Mwen tou bitch la menm ki ka ale nan Ayiti ak pran lavi ou, sonje sa," (I’m the bitch who can go to Haiti and take your life, remember ") she said pushing her way into my house.

“Bonjou pitit fi mwen nan lalwa,” (Hello my daughter-in-law.) she greeted Erica before walking to my office.

“Ki sa ou vle ?” (What do you want?) I asked closing the door behind me.

“Poukisa se Diamond toujou vivan ?” (Why is Diamond still alive?)

“Li se zanmi m 'ak li se ale nan rete konsa jiskaske ou peye m' pyès lajan m 'yo.” (She is my friend and it is going to stay that way until you pay me my money.) I cut my eyes at her.

“Jistis mwen menm manman ou. Ki jan bay gabèl ou mank respè m 'pa pa swiv lòd mwen an,” (Justice I am your mother. How dare you disrespect me by not following my orders.) she had the nerves to say.

“Jou a ou te ban m ' moute te yon jou nan ou te sispann yo te manman m'.” (The day you gave me up was the day you stopped being my mother.)

“Jistis mwen te douz ! Mwen te ban nou lavi, mwen se rezon ki fè yo ou kanpe isit la kounye a . Si li te moute nan manman m ' ou ta gen mouri.” (Justice I was twelve! I gave you life, I'm the reason you are standing here now. If it was up to my mother you would have been dead.)

“I don’t care,” I replied in English. “You grew up, came to America and never came back for me. You’re married and your husband knows nothing about me,” I said shutting her up.

  “He can’t know.”

“Well then bitch, if you want your husband’s daughter killed then I want my fucking money!”

“I will have your money but I want her dead. My husband is starting to invest too much money into her. I will be damned if he develops a relationship with his illegitimate child,” she angrily spat displaying her Haitian accent.

  “You mad huh?” I laughed.

  “What’s so funny Justice?”

“You gave up your child, got remarried and lived your life as if I didn’t exist. When it’s time to give your husband a child, you couldn’t so he had one with another woman. Sounds like karma to me,” I smirked.

“Fuck you Justice, do what I say and get rid of the bitch,” she said preparing to leave.

“Wire the money to my account and consider it done.”

“Ou pral gen lajan ou.” (You will have your money.)

“Mèsi poutèt ou manman.” (Thank you mother.) I smiled. “Now get the fuck out of my house bitch!” I spat.

I had no respect for Janet. She was a sorry excuse for a woman. She possessed no class or morals; the only think she was worried about was her image. The only reason she kept me a secret and wanted to so badly get rid of Diamond was because she feared what it down do to her image.

Before I could walk out of my house, my phone began to ring.

“Damn, everybody is starting to get on my damn nerves!!” I sighed before answering the phone.

  “Yo!”

  “Justice how is everything going?”

“Good man, I’ll deliver the girl when I get close enough.”

“Good,” the caller said hanging up the phone.

For Diamond to be a sweet girl, so many people were after her. When The Heineken Boys called me to bring them Diamond for an exchange of five million dollars, I agreed. As soon as I collected my money from Janet, I would fake Diamond’s death and ship her off to Dread, the head of the mafia. Although Diamond and I grew to be close friends, money talked. I couldn’t go to FPL and play my light bill with a friendship card. In America, in order to live comfortably you had to have money.

  Chapter 19

  Beamer

Losing a baby that I so badly wanted was hurting me to the core. Maybe it was my mother’s spirit that took the baby from me because she knew I wasn’t capable of raising one. Or maybe it was karma coming back to bite me in the ass for giving up my first born. Whatever it was, I was hurting greatly behind God’s decision to take my baby’s life.

In the midst of it all, the one person that was supposed to have my back showed me his true colors. All the lies Bobby told me replayed in my head. The hopes of us being together as a family tarnished. He didn’t want me, he just was using me to get back at Zoe. He was going to pay in blood for what he did to me.

“Here is the rundown of all of Bobby’s traps. I want half of everything you get,” I said to my cousin and his crew.

My cousin, Dash was a jack boy that resided in Jacksonville. When I called him with the opportunity of making some money, he jumped at it. I was holding a meeting in my house showing them the ins and outs of Bobby’s traps.

The difference between Bobby and Zoe, was that Zoe was smarter than to let a woman know the whole operation. If Zoe even thought you figured out his operation he would switch shit up in a heartbeat. Bobby on the other hand, was dumb enough to conduct his business while I was on my knees sucking his dick.

My plan was to make it look like Zoe hit Bobby’s traps. Then I would kidnap Ian and make it look like Bobby took him as payback. While both of them went at war, Ian and I would be ducked off in Philadelphia starting fresh.

“We down, when can we move?” Dash asked.

“Let me tie up a few loose ends and I’ll let you know. Make sure your niggas are ready at all times.”

“You already know cuzzo, let’s get this money!”

“That’s what the fuck I’m talking about,” I smiled.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Whoever created that line never lied. I was a woman scorned that was going to pay every nigga back that did me wrong. Zoe and Bobby were going to have their asses handed on a platter for fucking with me. When I was done with those two, they’re going to think twice before treating the next female like shit.

Today was one of Ian’s soccer games, so I wrapped up the meeting so that I could watch my baby play. Ever since I found out Zoe had my baby, I’ve been stalking them. It’s crazy how much like Zoe my little man looked. The moment I laid eyes on him my heart melted and I fell in love with him. Watching Diamond carry on with my child made me sick to my stomach. She was going to get hers too, real soon at that.

Everyone on my shit list was going to feel my wrath, starting with Cray. I sent her a lengthy message on Facebook explaining Bobby and my relationship. The icing on the cake was when I sent her a sonogram of our late baby. I left out the details of my miscarriage and allowed her to believe that in seven months I was going to give birth to BJ’s little brother or sister. POW!

  Chapter 20

  Cookie

The money I was making for Zoe and his crew was good, but I was a money hungry bitch and I wanted more. I sat in the parking lot of the Days Inn hotel and recorded C
ray make out with some sexy ass nigga in broad daylight like it wasn’t nothing. Another schemed popped up in my head as I waited for her to get in her car and drive off.

As soon as her car disappeared, I picked up the phone and called her.

“Hello?” she answered the phone on the fifth ring.

“Hey girl, I was just thinking about you,” I lied.

“Really?” she asked with skepticism in her voice.

“Yes, I was just talking to Tasha. I really miss the strong bond the three of us had.”

“How is Tasha anyways?” she asked.

“Tasha is good, she living out in the mountains and shit,” I laughed.

  “Really?”

“Yes girl, my cousin got that ass on some serious lock down.”

  “That’s crazy.”

“Cray, I have to talk to you and I have no one else to run to,” I faked cried.

“What’s wrong Cookie?” Cray’s dumbass asked taking the bait.

“I would rather talk about it in person.”

“Mmm hmm, I’m going to text you my address and you can come over and we can talk,” she said.

“Ok,” I replied with a smile plastered on my face. “See you in a bit,” I said hanging up the phone.

That was easier than sucking dick for a pack of hair. I laughed waiting on Cray’s text. She must have forgotten that I used to have a thing for her baby daddy, or maybe she was so wrapped up in that nigga she was just with that she didn’t care. Either way, I was going to use everything in my advantage to finally snag Bobby once and for all.

“Your house is nice,” I said as I walked around observing everything.

“Thank you,” she smiled. “Let’s sit down so we can talk.” She motioned for me to sit on the butter cream sofa.

“First off, I would like to apologize for everything. I shouldn’t have been so mad at you for dating Bobby,” I said starting my list of lies.

“It’s ok Cookie, it was partially my fault. You were like a sister to me and I should have respected your crush on him,” she apologized.

“It’s ok, he didn’t want me back so it don’t count,” I laughed.

“What did you want to talk about?” she asked breaking the silence.

“My mother’s boyfriend raped me and now I’m pregnant,” I fake cried. “I tried to tell my mother but instead of helping me she put me out,” I sobbed.

“Oh no Cookie, I am so sorry to hear that,” she sympathized.

“What do you plan on doing about the baby?” she asked.

“Cray, I can’t keep my rapist baby. Plus, I don’t have the means to take care of it,” I preyed on her heart.

Cray was the type of person that was willing to do anything to help people, that’s why Natasha and I were friends with her in high school. She always made it her business to do whatever it took to make us comfortable.

“Cookie, I love you like a sister and I’m willing to help you. If you want to get rid of the baby I will give you the money and I can also help you find a place.”

“I don’t have the money for a deposit.”

“I can help you with all of that but it will be your responsibility to keep up with your rent and utilities.”

“OMG, thank you, Cray. I promise I’ll be able to keep up with everything. I have an interview at a movie company and I know I’m going to get the job,” I lied.

“That’s the spirit,” she said before she was interrupted by her phone.

She began to blush as she answered the phone. I studied the way she giggled and fumbled with her hair as she spoke with the person that was on the other end of the phone. I had a feeling it wasn’t Bobby so I turned on the voice recorder I had on my phone and recorded her conversation.

“You and Bobby are too cute,” I gushed as soon as she hung up the phone.

“Can I tell you a secret?” she fumbled her fingers.

  “I’m all ears.”

  “That wasn’t Bobby,” she confessed.

  “Shut up,” I faked shock.

“That was a guy name Daniel that I met on Black People Meet.”

  “A dating website? Really Cray?”

“No. I mean at first it was something to keep me company since I was spending more and more nights home alone. Then I met Daniel; omg, Daniel is really special to me,” she blushed.

“Why are you still with Bobby then?”

“Bobby and I have a baby together, but now that all of his skeletons are falling out of his closet, I’m not too sure.”

  “Skeletons?”

“He’s still sleeping with Diamond, plus he might have fathered her child. Oh, and he has a baby on the way with some hoe name Beamer.”

  “You lying?”

“I’m dead ass. The more Bobby pushes me away, the closer I’m starting to get to Daniel. I think I’m falling out of love with Bobby.”

“That happens,” I shrugged. “Tell me a little more about Daniel.”

“Well, he lives in Jacksonville, he comes down here time to time because he owns a sanitary business.”

  “Sanitary?” I asked in disgust.

“Yes, it feels good to be with a normal guy working a regular 9 to 5, ya know.”

“No I don’t know,” I laughed. “But if you like it I love it.

“Yeah, I just don’t know what to do,” she sighed.

“Think long and hard before you make any decisions.”

“I know… that is why I’m taking things slow with Daniel.”

“Did you give up the nookie?” I asked making sure my recorder was still recording.

“Yes and OMG, the best sex ever!!!” she giggled.

We were startled by someone opening the door. Turning off my recorder, I slipped my phone back in my purse. A few minutes later, Bobby appeared looking sexier than ever with an even sexier nigga walking behind him. He gave me a ‘what the fuck are you doing here’ look then motioned for Cray to follow him to the kitchen.

Brooklyn sent me a text letting me know we had a job to do in an hour. Although we were getting paid a lot of money only to drive cars, I hated it. I hated when I had to take orders from somebody. I would rather lie on my back and get paid that way. At least with my sponsors I was the one who called the shots.

I was hoping to bag Rich’s sexy ass and add him on my team so that I wouldn’t have to work, but he wasn’t biting. After I sucked his dick that night, it was strictly business between us. I tried to sleep with him but he basically told me he wasn’t into fucking community pussy. The nerve of that nigga.

“Cray, I’m about to go,” I called out grabbing my purse.

“Ok, I’ll call you later,” she poked her head out of the kitchen.

I got in my car and headed to my mother’s. I was so happy that Cray was going to give me the funds to get my own place. It wasn’t like I didn’t have the money to lease the place, but my credit was too fucked up. When I got to my room, I played the recording while I looked for a spacious two-bedroom apartment on Trulia. If I played my cards right I was going to finally live the ghetto fabulous life I deserved.

  Chapter 21

  Rich

Tonight I was bringing the whole city out for my twenty-seventh birthday. I rented out Club Mansion and was throwing myself a private party. The struggle was hard growing up and I wanted to celebrate my success by having my very first birthday party.

I stood in the full-length mirror as the tailor fitted me for my suit. Tonight I decided to switch shit up and get my grown and sexy on. I wasn’t gonna be dressed like no square ass nigga though; my Armani suit had some swag to it.

“Bae, you look nice,” Sky smiled, kissing me on the cheeks.

“Did you get your dress?” I asked.

“Yes, I fixed it up a little bit though. Why you tryna have me walking around like a nun?”

“The fuck you mean you fixed it up?” I asked looking at her as if she was crazy.

“Yeah, I had some minor alterations done to it. Shit looks sexy ass fuck,” s
he laughed.

“Aight nah, I don’t mind dropping bodies at my party.”

“Shut up Richard,” she rolled her eyes.

The tailor put the last touches on my fit and laid it out on the bed for me.
