Claiming the Witch (BBW Paranormal Shifter Romance) Page 2

He laughed, “Yes there are a lot of pagans around here unless you can’t tell,” he said looking at the women who had started dancing again. “The festival of Luna looks like a wild festival,” I said. The Congo beat started to change, the rhythm became faster and I could see Callisto dancing among the others. She looked at where I was standing with Caleb. “Come here,” she mouthed to Caleb and he moved towards her.

I felt a pang of anger. Really, when I was talking to him.

She danced sensually around him, their faces inches from each other. I could see her caressing him, his chest, his lips and his back. The lights got dimmer and the moon was the light that bathed on them. She looked at me and smiled evil I thought. She moved sensually around him, her dress feel to the ground and she was wearing a black sheer dress underneath. I could see through it but the dimness of the evening acted like a veil over her. She took Caleb’s hands and placed them on her breasts.

I think I had seen enough.

“Jodie,” I heard her call me after a minute. “Where are you going?” she asked me, she was wearing her bottle moss colored dress again. “You are ditching the offering are you?” she asked me. “No,” I said, why can’t I just tell her to fuck off?

“Yes, can we just start so I can get back to the city? I am kind of tired,” I said. She pulled towards the stone ruins. “Drink this,” she said. I didn’t ask her what it was and just gulped it down. From afar I could see Caleb watching us both, watching me particularly. He looked concerned but I could fathom why he would be. He didn’t think I was into Callisto, did he?

Callisto marched me to the ruins. I had nearly slipped on the stone steps and gripped onto the edged stone that led us up to the flat slab of stone. The moon was brighter and almost nearer to us. “Welcome,” said Callisto. “Sister and slaves,” she called out to everyone in the crowd.

Slaves? Did I just hear her right?

I felt weird like I was floating. Everything around me felt like mush. “What’s wrong,” she asked me and the crowd started to laugh. Fuck it, she must’ve drugged me.

“Sisters of Luna,” she said, “welcome as we honor our mother, the goddess Luna.” The women began chanting something. “We again have a sacrifice to our guardians and slaves, the Lycans,” she said. I did not understand a thing she was saying. I kneeled there trying to grasp what was happening.

I was sweating. I couldn’t move. “A sacrifice will be made tonight and a worthy sacrifice. A daughter of an ancient bloodline dwells among us.” The crowd went silent, “legend has it that the curse our Lycans carry can only be broken by one of the bloodline of Lupa, the she-wolf. I felt it in her veins, the blood runs through it but not for long.”

The crowd shouted, “spill her blood,” they had begun chanting. I felt two strong hands grip my arms and lift me. I tried to struggle free but I felt like water in their arms. They dragged me to the slab of stone in the middle of the ruins. Callisto stood there watching as they tied me down. “Sorry,” she said to me as she played with a dagger in her hand and I noticed it was the same dagger that the old man had given me.

“He was right,” I tried to mouth; “you are a witch!”

She laughed, “witch, voodoo doer, evil woman, bitch, these are just a few of the things that the people around her call me. They have a rather bad habit of not saying it to my face,” she pouted trying to look sad but smiled altogether.

“The lycans will be grateful that I am doing this. Where would they be if they were to be freed?” she said talking more to herself. She moved towards me while playing with the knife in her hands. I turned to look at the crowd. They were still chanting, Caleb however was nowhere to be seen among the crowd of people.

I closed my eyes. This wasn’t happening I thought, this really can’t be happening. I felt the cold metal on my throat. I opened my eyes to see Callisto looking down at me. “Don’t worry,” she said, “I’ll make this quick.”

She pulled the dagger upwards and I saw it glint in the moonlight. Suddenly a howl of came from the all around us, the scurrying of paws and the howls of angry wolves. I felt my hairs rise from fear. There were wolves, hungry sounding wolves.

I felt the dagger plunge into my skin. It stung for a while. The blood seeped through my skin. It didn’t go into me but only scratch my skin. I heard the wolves nearby, almost to close as if just a few inches away from me. My vision had started to get blurry. No, no, no! I tried to keep myself conscious but I felt myself slowly fading into nothingness.

  ***

I awoke, profusely sweating. Oh my, it was just a dream I had thought but suddenly realized that I was in an old shack. The moonlight strayed through the cracks in the wood of the shack. I felt nostalgia come over me. The walls were lingered with wolfsbane and there were silver daggers and crosses and a few more ancient artifacts that I had yet to learn about.

The crickets were loud in the background. I moved a bit and my arm started to hurt. I took a look at it. A white piece of cloth that was stained by blood covered a wound on my arm. I touched the cloth it was soaked in my blood.

Footsteps, I had suddenly covered myself with the sheets in the bed made of dried tree bark and kept quiet. I had a small space between the sheets in which I peeked through. Someone had entered the little shack.

I held my breath as someone, a male, entered the shack. “You can stop pretending to sleep now,” he said. The voice was familiar and so I pulled the sheets off me and standing there in front of me was Caleb.

“Caleb?” I asked, “What, what happened? What am I doing here?” he moved towards the sink of the shack and started peeling something. A strange citrus like smell filled the room, oranges? How can you eat something in a time like this? I exclaimed.

He moved towards me and undid the bandages on my arm. “The wound is deep,” he said looking at it. “Callisto must have really wanted to kill you,” he smiled saying as he undid the bandages slowly. “Okay, there you go.”

There was a large gash across his back. His muscles were tensed and I had noticed that he was trying to avoid the wolfsbane. Caleb threw the bandages in the sink and walked over with some green mushy thing in his hands. He applied it to my wound.

I sat there and stared at him still lost in whatever had happened.

“Why am I here?” I asked quietly.

“Jodie,” he whispered in my ear as if only wanting me to hear it. “You are the one I have been waiting for,” he tucked a stray strand of hair behind my ear. I felt myself shiver from his warm touch. His hand slid down my shoulder caressing it in the process. My heart started racing, “I don’t understand,” I said swallowing hard.

The heat from his toned body radiated and I could feel my body heating up as well. I stood up from the bed, only to realize that I had put too much pressure on my wounded arm. “Shit,” I said as the pain caught me off guard and I lay on the bed crutching my wounded arm.

Caleb moved on top of me his weight on my body. He looked at me and slowly kissed me. I felt the heat surge inside of me. When was the last time a man had ever kissed me like this? It was electrifying. He pushed down on me harder, kissing me harder and biting my lips in the process.

I pushed him back, “no,” I mumbled, trying to get up, “you and Callisto…” my voice trailed away as he pushed me roughly back down. I he pressed me down and this time I could feel his hands move to my neck. He caressed my neck gently breathing down it as he kissed and sucked on my neck.

  I let him.

His body pressing down on mine I could feel him moving towards my breasts, hands cupped on them as he moved them to the middle and tore my top off me. I gasped, a little stunned by his roughness but it was something that had made me want him even more.

I thought about my weight, for a second I wanted to pull the sheets over me but Caleb had pinned my hands down over me. In a second my brassiere was unhooked. Caleb kissed me as he went lower, kissing me between my breasts. Each kiss sent a shiver down my spine.

  I arched my back in
pleasure as Caleb brushed his lips against the mound of my breasts. He cupped them together, squeezing them gently as he moved from peak to peak. I moaned in pleasure. I could sense Caleb smiling.

“What?” I whispered as he slowly moved down my stomach. My legs dangled over the edge of the bed. Caleb moved down as he kneeled to the floor. My skirt parted between my legs. I heard something drop to the floor and I knew it was his pants. He stood in front of me as I lay down on the straw bed, half naked as I watched him stare at me. There was this fierce passion in his eyes.

He pulled my skirt off and pulled me further to the edge of the bed. I lay there, heart racing as I he kneeled between my legs. His hands on my thighs, I could feel the sweat and tension I was building up. I had never had a guy go down on me ever then again; I had never let a guy see me this naked before.

“Relax,” he said in a deep voice, I could come from the sexiness of his voice alone. I let him do what he wants as he kneels and kisses my stomach slowly moving downwards. He feels me, gently caressing and stroking the mound of flesh between my legs.

I grip the sheets on the bed as he plays with me, stroking me up and down in a rhythm I slowly get used to as the pleasure swells up between my legs. I try to close my legs but he had pinned them over the edge of the straw bed with his body.

I could feel his kissing my thighs as he moved closer to the mound of flesh and like a cat, flicked his tongue up and down stroking my pleasure spot. I moaned as Caleb, pleasured me.

I was tired by the time he had stopped. Standing almost six feet and a half tall, he towered over me as I lay there weak from pleasure. He was holding his staff in his hand, stroking it; he pushed me up the bed as he got on top of me.

I pulled him closer towards me and he allowed me to as he kissed me fiercely, harder each time. He pulled me up as we kissed. Hugging each other as we kissed, he turned me around on my knees and on my hands. I felt him hold onto my waist as he trust into me, slowly at first, his abs on my back as he gripped me harder and pulling me onto him. I screamed in pleasure as he trust into me, slowly in and out as if I was riding him.

He trust halfway in then pulled out as he slammed into me. I moaned he went faster and faster gripping my waist as I shouted in pleasure. “Caleb,” I moaned, he turned me around again, facing him he kissed me. Pushed against the wall, he kneeled between my legs and entered me once again. I held on to his neck as he pushed into me.

His toned body tensed against mine as he smothered me with kisses. I felt him come into me as he gripped me closer to his body. I was feeling the pleasure, as if I was floating in nirvana.

He pulled out from me slowly; I was slumped against the wall, breathing hard. He lay down beside me and pulled me towards him and I felt his body cover me, I felt safe and protected.

“You’ll be fine,” he said to me. “So tell me what do you need to complete this paper of yours?” I smiled at him. “I would need Callisto for that,” I said.

“Too bad,” he said, eyes closed with a grin on his face.

“Why is that?” I asked him, wondering what he meant by that.

“She probably has fled the town,” he laughed, “she was a witch that held us, the werewolves, slaves of her black magic.”

I did take occult studies but hearing something as weird as this said out loud, it felt weird but I had heard the wolves and I had seen them in the flesh. “So I wasn’t just being delirious,” I said, “she tried to kill me.”

It was weird that I was so close to being sacrificed at some ritual but a werewolf had saved me. He hugged me, “You have me now,” and with that he kissed me and I felt safe in his arms.

I had passed my dissertation paper a month after coming back from New Orleans. Callisto was nowhere to be seen. The wolfpack, Caleb’s pack roamed the edges of the city keeping away from the people but they protected it. Caleb had started going to a college, it was hard. We had talked often but it wasn’t until recently that we had decided that I should move to New Orleans.

It wasn’t a hard decision anyway, I could teach in New Orleans as the people were more accustomed to understanding the occult studies, this was the best place to be in.

I felt more comfortable with being just me.

Caleb and I were going to be parents anyway and I wondered how great it was going to be that it would have the best parents ever.

  Claimed by the Lycan

“Damn it!” the dress wouldn’t fit again. It was a struggle dressing up every day, looking fashionable yet comfortable. The black dress lay on the floor in a heap as I stood naked in front of the mirror looking at the curves of my body.

“This should go, this… why of all the places do I have to have this here,” picking out the spots on my body, which were good places to have surgery on.

No, not really surgery; altering the body I was born in wasn’t an option but then again neither was exercising daily.

I ran the girdle up to my waist making sure I could still breathe. It looked sexy on me or so I thought. “Okay,” I sighed, “it’s going to be a t-shirt and jean day with a pair of heels.” Owning a boutique with the clothes designed by yours truly was somewhat a dream, it would have been better if I could model them myself, but the fashion industry isn’t too keen on letting the plus size women enter their industry—not just yet maybe.

A black shirt and a pair of jeans with my leather boots completed the look. It was a bit chilly outside anyway and this would be a comfortable outfit to be in.

Today was the launch of Anastasia’s fashion line.

Anastasia was a good friend; she was good in everything, not to mention she looked pretty damn good. “Launch, dinner, cocktails, seems like my kind of fun,” I said sarcastically into the receiver when Anastasia called the boutique a couple of days ago. She laughed at me and put on her little nag about how I was so anti-social and that it would do me good to go out and have fun.

I wasn’t opposed to the thought and the idea of having fun. “Really,” I said to myself. It wasn’t the people or the stories and lavish get ups, but the stares that I got when I went to such events.

Yes, stares. I knew they were taking in the extra curves I had. Were they envious or simply just fat-haters? I hated playing fake with all the other skinny-assed women who judged plus sized women.

“Sure,” I said to Anastasia in my effort to sound enthusiastic about it. “No backing out, I’m placing your name on the guest list!” she said happily, “Oh! Before I forget, Brandon is coming so I asked him to pick you up, see you! Love lots!” the line gave a busy tone before I could get a word out of my mouth.

“Great,” I mumbled to myself. Brandon was Anastasia’s, for the lack of a better term, “boy toy.” He was an aspiring model, toned and tanned and awfully chiseled. He was no doubt blessed in the “good looks” department but was a total douche—and I mean douche.
