Night Mares Page 17

“Buck’s County? Where is that?” Johann asked, his brow furrowed.

“Pennsylvania,” answered Robert. “Come on. We have to leave now. Right now.”

“Pennsylvania? Right now? This can’t wait until tomorrow?”

“No. People are dying. We have to get there, pronto.”

Johann moved so Robert could get into the car. He turned and looked at Belinda. After all they’d been through the last few weeks, he felt a special camaraderie with her and David. He took her in his arms and gave her a warm hug.

Belinda turned her head and beamed a bright smile at David, who rolled his eyes and lifted one side of his upper lip. I could do that. That ain’t nothin’ special.

“You guys coming with us?” Johann asked. Belinda looked at him. Her smile faded.

“No. We need to get back to the network. I’ll monitor whatever is happening up there, though. If it turns into a news story, you can bet your ass we’ll be there.”

Johann looked at Robert who was sitting in the car. He was facing forward and rocking back and forth in his seat. It was obvious that something heavy was on his mind. The demon hunter looked back at Belinda.

“I can almost guarantee you it’ll turn into news. I guess we’ll see you up there. Don’t lose my number, okay?”

He was going to kiss her gently on the forehead, but she brought his face down and they locked lips. After the heated exchange Johann looked into her eyes. They were moist with tears. He gently brushed them away.

“You two be careful. Okay?” she said.

“We will,” Johann said. “Thanks for everything.”

Johann got in the Mustang and started it up. As they pulled away, he put his hand out his window and waved to Belinda and David.

  The End

Johann and Robert travel to Bucks County, Pennsylvania in the next thrilling installment—“Confessional.”

This series is a must read for fans of "Supernatural"

The Bucktown Babies - Father Gunter, a former priest, is a demon's worst enemy. He watches a news story one night about an outbreak of SIDS in a small farming community. His demon hunting senses kick in, and he realizes there is something paranormal here - a demon is at work. He travels to the town and starts his investigation. Along the way, he battles demons and finds that he, himself, is being hunted. One night, he receives a visit from the local priest, who brings him some surprising news. The whole time, he is searching for his sister, who was taken by a demon 5 years ago.

The Raven Flies at Night - In this second installment of the paranormal series "Father Gunter, Demon Hunter" Father Johann Gunter and his partner in demon hunting, Robert Durling, travel to the town of Mountainview. The town has been besieged with suicides and the whole atmosphere of the town is bleak. When Johann and Robert meet Belinda Carstone, the TV reporter, they learn about her dreams, and how they lead her, and ultimately Johann, to the demons. After another run-in with the black Dodge Challenger from "The Bucktown Babies", the series takes a darker, more ominous turn. Beware...the raven flies at night.

Night Mares - Johann “Father” Gunter and Robert Durling find themselves in the small town of Clemons, because of a dream that news reporter Belinda Carstone had. The night they arrive, they find that there is something amiss here. The Mayor dies in an unfortunate accident in her home. While they are at the scene, covering the event for KMTN News, Johann sees the mayor’s replacement, and instantly takes a dislike to the man. While they are investigating what is going on in the town, they learn some interesting things - both about the town and some of the people.
