“Oh, thanks… I am just so glad that you think… oh god,” I said.
Lily worked her way down, and I placed my hand on her head. Josh leaned in and kissed the side of my neck; then he bit me. My eyes rolled in my head. He turned me around to face him, and Lily stood up behind me. He glanced at her and smiled.
“Hey,” I said.
He looked at me and grinned.
She reached around and touched my stomach, and then let her hand move down in between us. Josh stepped back and stared at us. I tried to look cool, but I probably didn’t… or maybe I did. Josh rubbed his hair.
“Yea… do that,” he said.
Lily laughed behind me, and let her hand wander.
“Don’t direct us,” I said, as I looked at him.
“What? I just, I ummm… I am here to help, like the guy with the wand thingy, you know, helping the planes land.” He said.
“They have radio towers for that… ahhhh,” I said as Lily bit me again, this time harder.
I felt her teeth break my skin, and the blood started to run down over my collarbone. He clinched his fists, and then bit his knuckle. I stared at him, and Lily continued to cause my heart to flutter. Quite honestly, I didn’t know if it was Lily or the fact that Josh was standing in front of me, that was getting me all… you know.
Josh started to take his shirt off, and I looked at him, with the light starting to go into twilight outside, my favorite hour, right before the sun sets… Things look so beautiful to me… not that Josh doesn’t look amazing to me every day, because he dies.
I lowered my hands and stood there with my boobies just flying in the wind, and he looked at me and dropped his shirt on the floor.
“Oh my god,” he said.
I bit my lip, and Lily lowered behind me. I felt her hand move down my leg and then back up. I ‘Oh’d’ really loud and jumped a little, and Josh stepped up to me and grinned.
“Glad that you are having fun,” I said.
He tilted his head.
“This is all about you,” he said.
“Uh huh… all about me,” I whispered.
I closed my eyes, and we all lowered to the floor. I sat there on my knees, and he touched my face, as she reached around from behind me and undid my pants. I looked down and bit my lip.
“I am so nervous right now,” I said.
He touched my face and grinned, showing his canine teeth.
“I love you, more than you will ever know,” he said.
He kissed me, and the rest just happened, like it was normal… me normal, which was kind of a shock.
I didn’t know it until then, but girls are just like boys… if you close your eyes.
Chapter 19
Dress To Be Killed
Clytie stood in her new boyfriend’s house and smiled in the mirror. She turned, and the dress moved with her. It was black, strapless… with lots of material flowing out. It stopped at the knee, and she grinned and pulled the bottom of it up, exposing a little more leg. She looked up and watched her face, as the grin continued, and looked at the boy sprawled on the bed… covered in blood. She turned to him and smiled.
“Ooops,” she said, as she touched her lip and wiped a small drop of blood from it with her finger, placing it in her mouth.
“What do we have here?” she heard from the doorway, and turned to see Lizzy standing there grinning.
Clytie sighed and looked back in the mirror. She started to put her earrings on and waited. Whatever Lizzy wanted it could, or couldn’t, be a good thing. Lizzy walked over to the boy, lifted his arm, and dropped it back down.
“You have a knack for exhausting things, do you not?” she asked.
“I am very needy, and his body simply could not keep up,” Clytie said.
Lizzy walked up behind her and grinned.
“I will tell you that you look good enough to eat,” Lizzy said.
Clytie placed her other earring on and stood there, staring at them as she grinned.
“I would guess those are his mother’s. Did you visit her too?” Lizzy asked.
Clytie turned and smiled.
“Out of town, pity… a whole family would have been nice,” she said.
Lizzy touched her earring and sighed.
“Something borrowed,” she said.
Then she looked at the boy. “Something blue.”
Clytie glanced at the boy and back at Lizzy.
“What do you want, Aiwass?” she asked.
“Oh, I thought that you would find my wedding reference charming.”
Clytie grinned.
“I do, but I doubt that you just popped in to chat.”
Lizzy looked at the dresser in front of her and spotted the matching pearl necklace and picked it up in her hand. She rolled the beads between her fingers and looked like she was in deep thought. She looked at Clytie and placed her hand on her shoulder, turning her to the mirror. Clytie stood there, controlling her breathing. Lizzy reached up and placed the necklace around her neck… pulling it tight. Clytie stared at her and then at the necklace.
“It would be so easy to snap your neck,” Lizzy whispered.
“You have such a way with foreplay,” Clytie said.
Lizzy tilted her head and relaxed the necklace around her neck and clasped it for her.
“Well, I appreciate that, Clytie… I really do. I would spend the next five days fucking you, but I didn’t come to play,” Lizzy said.
Clytie turned, and Lizzy leaned in and looked at her mouth.
“Although a kiss that I have time for.”
Clytie leaned up and placed her hand on Lizzy’s face.
“I do not give them freely,” she whispered.
“Oh, that is right… you are what they call a prostitute,” Lizzy said.
Clytie laughed, and let her hand fall from her face.
“I can always count on you to say the sweetest things.”
Lizzy stepped back and turned to the boy on the bed.
“Messy,” she said.
“He was not anywhere near as fun as I would have liked.”
Lizzy looked at her.
“I bet,” she said, as she exposed her teeth and they started to yellow.
“Well… no need for small talk. Caine has done a strange thing,” Lizzy said.
Clytie’s eyes got wider, and she turned back to the mirror and started to pull up her hair and pin it.
“I am not concerned with him,” she said.
Lizzy flashed up behind her and leaned in, pressing her body against her.
“I think that you are, and you should be grateful that I even thought of telling you.”
Clytie closed her eyes and felt Lizzy vibrate behind her.
“Tell me then, what has that overgrown ape done now?” she asked.
“Oh, come now, Clytie… you are a betting creature; now, when did I start giving away things for free?”
Clytie turned and grinned at her. Lizzy leaned up and placed her hand on the exposed skin on her shoulder and hissed, as she gently let her fingers trace her collarbone.
“You know, I have let you live… only because I find you intriguing, in so many ways.”
“I thank you for your pity,” Clytie said.
Lizzy’s eyes flashed to her, and they rolled to black.
“Caine is a nuisance. I thought that he would just be killed over time… and I found myself kicking back and waiting for that time to come, but he keeps on ticking,” Lizzy said.
“Are you asking me to kill him?” Clytie asked.
“Oh, that would be just adorable,” Lizzy said.
“Well, I have no idea how to do that, Aiwass. I mean, I do have demon blood and so does he.”
“Mmmm. Yes, I know. I should have never allowed him to drink of me, but you know… you live and learn!” Lizzy said.
“Well, so do I… and if I kill him, I die too.”
Lizzy grinned, and her face started to turn pale white.
“I thought about that, and I
also thought about taking it back,” she whispered.
Clytie bit her lip and stared her down.
“You can’t do that; I will age,” she said.
Lizzy laughed and turned her to face the mirror.
“Time… what a bitch, huh?” she said.
Clytie took a breath and looked at Lizzy, as the small black cracks appeared.
“No… no please, Aiwass, don’t,” she said.
“Aw, come now, Clytie… if you hurry, I can restore you… but if you dilly dally around, time will eat you up,” She said.
“What has he done?” Clytie asked.
“Oh… that. Well, normally I would say ‘Good’, but it seems that Caine has stepped up to new level. He had a tantrum, one of which has caused some problems.”
“What problems?” Clytie asked.
“Okay fine, I will tell you; only because he needs a good spanking from a full on whore to the gods… that being you. You see, when I shared my blood with you, it did give you everlasting life… but it kinda zapped your nymph mojo, and I need you full throttle.”
“Okay… and,” Clytie said.
Lizzy grabbed her throat in a flash and stared at her, as she slowly lifted her from the ground. Clytie grabbed her hand and opened her mouth, as the air slowly cut off from her lungs.
“He, like all protectors, has an anger management problem, and he went and leveled Valon,” Lizzy said.
She looked at Clytie’s face as it contorted. Lizzy tilted her head and dropped her. Clytie fell to the floor and sucked in a big breath, as she rubbed her throat. Lizzy leaned down and shook her head, as she laughed.
“Oh, I am sorry… I seem to have a problem with anger too.”
Clytie looked up at her and shook her head.
“What… he leveled Valon?” she asked.
“Yep… seems as if he has been practicing his dark spells. I should have seen it coming, but so many to eat… so little time,” she said, as she waved her hand out and rolled it in the air.
Then she stopped suddenly and looked at Clytie.
“I need for you to take the wind out of his sails… Think that you are up to it?” Lizzy asked.
“Why me?” Clytie asked.
Lizzy flashed into her face and hissed, as she stared at her hair. She reached up and snagged a strand. Clytie reached up quickly and frowned. Lizzy stood up and smiled, as she held it up.
“I am busy… have lots of things to do, and you… you have a reason to kill him,” she said.
“I admit that I would like to see him fall, but he is powerful… more so than I,” Clytie said.
Lizzy squatted down in front of her and peed on the floor.
She looked down and laughed.
“Oh… Ooops. I forget to do that, and Lizzy has such a small bladder,” she said.
Clytie looked at the puddle on the floor and back into her eyes.
“What reason do I have for going on a suicidal run, Aiwass?”
Lizzy knocked her back on the floor and leaned up in her face.
“Well… one good reason, because if you don’t, I will slowly eat you for a millennia… Don’t forget that I should be pissed at you for not giving him the message I gave you to deliver to him,” she said.
Clytie looked at her black eyes and smiled.
“I will kill him,” she whispered.
Lizzy jumped up and stood there, as she sniffed the air.
She looked at Clytie and tilted her head.
“You need to shower… You smell like a whore,” she said.
Clytie rose up and tilted her head.
“It is a calling; my scent drives boys wild.”
“Well, it better… because death is just the beginning if you do not succeed.”
Clytie blinked, and Lizzy was gone.
She sighed and looked at her hands.
The lines started to appear, and she looked back at the mirror.
“Aiwass, keep me beautiful… Caine will not want me aging; he has a palate for youth.”
Clytie looked up, as she heard laughter, and looked back at the mirror. Her hair started to shine, and her face softened. Her breasts lifted a little, and she felt her entire body tighten up. She stood there looking at the body that she remembered… the one she had used to seduce the gods in the time of Greek mythology. She grinned and touched her face.
“Thank you,” she whispered, as she turned and looked at the boy on the bed.
She stepped up to him and pulled the cover, knocking him onto the floor, and threw the cover over his body.
“You are starting to stink… you monkey,” she said, as she headed towards the door.
***
I sat in my tub and just let the warm water run over me. Josh and Lily wanted to stay and do a group shower; I quickly ‘no’d’ that… I mean geez. We already had a wild romp on the floor. I won’t lie; I didn’t feel any different, except for the multiple bite marks on my arms and legs. I rubbed my fingers across one Lily had given me on the outside of my leg and grinned. Who would have ever guessed that I would have been up to doing that? I didn’t, but then again life is funny that way. Things just appear and disappear, and you either take advantage of it or let it pass you by.
I know I was cool with it; I just hoped that they were. Lily seemed fine… and oddly enough, so did Josh. That tells me two things… he has done this before, and he wanted to act like a grown up. All grown up Joshua Barrington. Wow… weird.
After the group shower suggestion and my ‘no’, Lily stood up and grinned at me… grabbed her dress, and went into my parent’s room. Josh smiled at me and stood up too, leaving me to get ready for the party.
I stood up and shut the water off. I stepped out and stood there with the towel in my hand grinning. I feel peaceful, was that a good thing or bad? I didn’t think it had anything to do with what just went down; I guessed it was me and that particular night. I had somehow shed my panic and doubt. Maybe it was on the cliff with Josh… maybe it happened when I decided that I was secure enough to be with Josh and another girl… or maybe it was me, understanding that there might be an ending to all this. I mean, the way that it was.
If Josh was right, and this demon was hell bent on killing us all… it may do it, and I had to go in with no fear in my heart, to whatever is after this life. I mean, how bad could a boat be? Maybe the creator will place us on a boat, and just let us sail around forever. Peaceful and together. Sounds like whatever heaven is supposed to be.
I dried my hair and looked at my face. In the last year, my cheekbones had become more prominent. My hair shined a little more, and my skin, well, my skin is looking more and more like my Mother’s… porcelain and unflawed. I do look older, but in good way. It was not all the outer shell of me either; it was all the things that were shifting inside of me too. I felt like I was growing into something, something more than I ever thought that I could be. I can thank love for that and life. All the bad and good rolled into one. For with each decision that I had made and each door I had opened, I allowed myself to be. Maybe that was the real mystery; maybe that was what parents know when they tell you that it will be alright.
I looked at the dress that lay on the floor, and smiled. I hoped it fitted, really did. I guess that I shouldn’t doubt that of all people, Lily could pick the right size for me. I mean, she used to size people up with one look and then eat them. Holy shit, that she did and I ahhh…okay. It’s totally fine; it really is. I was glad to share myself with her. I mean, this could be her last night on the planet too, and I didn’t want her to go out without feeling love. I really didn’t. I wouldn’t want that for anyone… even an ex-cannibal.
I walked to the bed and rubbed my fingers on the dress; it felt softer than anything I had ever felt. I grinned and picked it up, placing it at my feet and pulling it up. I pulled it over my arms and rubbed my hand over my stomach that was perfectly flat. I looked up and saw myself in the mirror, and it shocked me for a moment. I don’t think that I have ever worn anything that fit
me better or was more beautiful to wear. I zipped it up the side and stood there smiling, as I pulled my hair out. I had no idea what to do with my hair, and that thought alone made me laugh. I mean, I may be putting on the last thing I ever wear.
I heard a tap and looked over at my door. Lily stood there looking amazing, as she usually does. Her face was soft, and her dress… well, red was her color, it totally was. She looked like a doll, the one that any girl would beg to have if they saw her in a store. Her hair was in long curls, and her face was perfect, with just lip gloss… that she must have taken from my room… but it was okay. She looked good in it; so she can have it.
I smiled and placed my hands on my hips.
“This dress is the most beautiful thing that I have ever worn,” I said.
She smiled and tilted her head at me.
“I am glad that you like it,” she said.
She stepped in, and for a moment, I did worry that she would walk up to me and kiss me but she didn’t… in fact, she didn’t act like anything had happened at all. That did make me feel better. I mean, don’t get wrong… I was totally cool with the whole thing, but I really don’t want to talk about it… ever. We are not a couple or a threeple… or whatever they call it.
She sat down on the bed, and her dress poofed up, like an old Monroe picture.
I turned back to the mirror.
“I have no idea what to do with my hair,” I said.
“Oh, that’s easy,” she said.
She walked up behind me and pulled my hair over my shoulder. She leaned over and grabbed a black ribbon on my vanity and tied it. I stood there and looked at myself; the hair thingy looked good.
“I like it,” I said.
She smiled and stepped in front of me.
“I am not done,” she said.
I watched her hands flash, as she quickly braided my hair and then twisted it and had it clipped before I could open my mouth. She stepped out of my way, and my hair looked awesome. She did some kind of magic braid thingy and twisted it up, and it sat there, above my shoulder… looking like I had paid somebody to do it.
I stood there and touched it, grinning.
“Glad you like it. When I picked the dress, I envisioned your hair that way, and I was right,” she said, as she walked to my door.
