A whimper sounded from her, because she absolutely loved that! It was pressure and pleasure, when she felt her nipple being forcefully lifted between teeth.
His hand moved away, and she actually whimpered in protest. She didn’t want him to stop! Hell no! Did he change his mind? Before she could even open her eyes and wonder, she felt his hand slip inside her panties.
Oh dear god…

“God yes…” Fenrir peered down into her face. He absolutely loved watching the pleasure twist and contort her face so erotically. It was enough to literally make him nut in his pants, and it took a lot of holding back from doing so. “Mmm….My wet Faye.”
More sounds escaped from her lips, and it was like music to his ears. He captured one of those sounds she made into his lips, when he dove down and kissed her hard. His tongue darted out, and sparred so sexily with her own. Fuck, she tastes so good! And she did. She must have recently brushed her teeth, because that minty flavor was harsh, spicy and yum…
His hand slipped out of her panties, and he pushed himself up to where he settled upon his knees. Hastily, he began working at his belt, loosening it up, before unbuttoning it. It was when he reached out to grasp the waist band of her panties, that her own hands came out to stop him.
“Wait.” She spoke, and nervously bit onto her lower lip. Slowly she came to a sitting position. His good eye sight could see the flush that touched her cute cheeks, and how her own hand came up to rest over her mouth, as if she were pondering on what to say. And then she said it. The thing that he had been wondering if it were for sure or not. “I’ve…never done this before.”
So she was a virgin.
He smiled then, allowing his hands to slide up and over her legs. When she had sat up, her night gown fell back down parts of her thighs, so his hands had to slide up under that fine material, so that he could touch her skin. He loved how goosebumps collected along her skin, because of his touch.
God, he ached for the woman.
“It’s alright. I don’t mind.” He finally stated.
“No it’s…” As if what they had done, just flew completely out the window, and as if she were no longer in the mood, she brought her hand off of her mouth and slid her night gown back down. “I thought I…wanted this. But you are promised to-” Suddenly her hand came to the spot just right beneath her breast. That spot where he had marked her. “Ow.” She hissed, and then fell silent.
What was wrong with her?
“It’s kind of sore.” She spoke, and gently rubbed at it. “I think it’s okay.” But yet, she continued to rub it as if it truly was tender.
He recalled how his brother spoke of how painful it could be for females.
“Has this happened before?” He asked, now feeling concerned more than anything else.
She nodded her head, and seemed rather calm. But like the calm before the storm, she hollered out in pain. “Oh no! No no no no.” She whined out, and now both hands gripped at that particular spot. This was so random, and so out of ordinary, that he jumped up off the bed. What else was he supposed to do? What could he do? Questions kept racking his brain. What was happening? Was she okay? Would she be okay?
Going over to the lamp, he quickly turned the tiny dial so that it illuminated that corner of the room. “Faye.” He said, feeling a sudden sense of fear. She was now doubled over on her side. “Faye, tell me what’s wrong.”
“It b-burns!” She yelled out. Her eyes were shut tight, and her face, which was just moments ago, twisted with pleasure, was now twisted with pain. What was happening to his mate? “Like fire! Like, a hot blade!” This time, she screamed. It was frightening and ear shattering, and all he could do was stand back in utter shock. Fuck if only he knew what to do. He didn’t!
And suddenly, she was still. Her body was limp, and she appeared to almost be…lifeless.
Oh no…
“F-Faye?” He called out, and quickly came to her side. Not knowing really what to do, he brought his head down, so that his ear was right before her lips. She’s breathing. This brought a sigh of relief from his lips. She must have passed out, that’s what this seemed like.
And just out of curiosity, he brought her gown up over her stomach. The mark that he had seen almost six days ago, was much much more different than he remembered. The design was much more clearer. Had she noticed the change before he did? Had he noticed how much more prominent it was? The shape was fully there. It was red, as if she’d just recently got a tattoo. But what was much more different, were the vine’s that had traveled across her stomach, in a right direction. This made his brows furrow in confusion.
Instinctively, he looked down at his own palm, and it looked nothing compared to hers. His was not as prominent, but it was as if he’d thought too soon, because coming out of that design, sprouted one single, and it traveled like medicine coming up through an I.V. It was slow, and agonizing, causing him to grit his teeth. But he knew, that the pain was nothing compared to hers. Maybe it was just different on a human.
Or maybe something like this really was not supposed to happen.
The vine suddenly stopped, right there along the inside of his wrist. It hadn’t gone so far. His fist gripped, opened, and then gripped over and over and over again until the pain completely subsided.
“What the hell happened?” Roy’s voice actually made Fenrir jump a little bit. Hastily he stood, and looked at Roy’s shocked expression. The man was looking between Fenrir and Faye, who laid almost lifeless on the bed. You’d think she were dead, if it weren’t for the slow movements of her chest rising and falling. “What is going on?”
“I have no idea, Roy.” Fenrir turned and looked down at his mate. Quickly, he brought the blanket up over the almost naked lower half of her body. He pointed to the markings on her body. Right under her breast, was a very noticeable crescent moon, but it was created in such a way, with one swipe across the upper to middle section to make an F. The very bottom of the crescent was backwards, so that the F became more obviously known.
F, for Fenrir. He knew this. Yet how had he not seen it before hand? “It’s different. It’s growing.” Reaching out, his finger touched the vine that had sprouted from the crescent. You could feel the indention it made on her skin. “She said that it was like fire.”
Roy came up next to him, bent to be eye to eye with the markings, and mumbled something incoherent.
“I’m getting the vines too.” He looked around himself. “Where is Sam? He would know more about this than I do.”
“We ventured off a little too far. He apparently farther because I got here before he did.” He continued looking down. “When I found my mate…” He motioned to the vine. “-nothing like this ever happened. Not that I recall. But then again it’s been so long.”
Twenty minutes went by, and Sam had returned. Even Sam didn’t know what to think of it, and he only gave the same information Roy had given him. Neither of them knew what this meant, and that it also never happened to either one of them.
He only knew of one more person to call.
His dad.
And he hated that. He hated telling Lothos a secret that he had been trying to hide from him, as well as the rest of the pack all this time. A secret that could make the pack think twice on giving him Alpha leadership.
“I need to call Lothos.” He usually called his father by his first name, because truth be told, he and his father were never close. It had always been like that. “Sam keep an eye on Faye. If she wakes up, try and get some details out of her.” He hoped she would wake up, no doubt.
Stepping out of the bedroom, he headed down the hall and out the front door - the only place he really got any signal at. Roy was close behind, but still kept his distance so that he could talk privately. Fenrir dialed the number he’d be damned he never wanted to call.
“Fen, I hope you know you have hell to pay when you get back.”
“I have all kinds of hell to pay anyway.” Fenrir sighed in disb
elief. How was he even going to tell Lothos about this anyway?
“What kind of trouble you in, boy?” His father barked over the other end of the line. “And I hope it doesn’t have anything to do with this mate of yours.”
Fenrir blinked. “You know about her?”
“I know about a lot of things son.” He paused. “And I want to know why you haven’t brought her back home, so that you can drop this whore of a beast you got already.”
Did he just hear his father right? Bring her home? Surely he didn’t know… “You shouldn’t speak about Reina like that. And let me guess. Eric told you about my mate.”
“I only speak the truth, boy. You should know that. And that is another matter we need to discuss when you get back home. Seems your brother has found a little something out. But anyways. As for the mate, when is she coming home?”
Found something out?
Shaking his head, he thought for a moment. “That’s just the thing, Lothos…she isn’t-”
“Human?”
Did he just say human? He knew?
“How did you-”
“I’ve known it for a couple of days. When your brother found out what he found out, he uh…” He was silent. “Eric spilled the beans, in other words.”
What the fuck did Max find out?
He wanted to ask, but he had more pressing matters to attend to. “Yet you still want to have her in our…family?”
“A mate is a mate son. Whether you want to think so or not. Things might be different but, with difference comes…well…difference. Not everything’s gonna be the same forever. And sometimes you just gotta embrace what you already have.”
His dad had one hell of a mother fuckin’ point.
“There’s something else.” Fenrir started. “For some reason, the pain has been excruciating with her.”
“Naturally. She’s not a she-wolf. She’s human. Her pain tolerance wont be as up to speed like ours.”
“No…it’s…” He swallowed hard. How could he even word this? “She passed out from the pain.”
There was silence over the other end of the phone.
“And another thing, I wanted to ask. Did you ever have vines that grew from the mark? Or is that part of the mark itself?”
“Shit.” Lothos muttered.
“What?”
“You have got to be kidding me, right? You aren’t…really seeing vines are you?”
“It’s just one vine, and it’s like it has sprouted from the mark.” He opened his palm and looked down at it. “It’s also starting on mine.
“Fuck.” His father muttered.
“What the hell is wrong with the vines?”
“The vines are what is causing her pain but…the vine is also like an artery. Poison. Poison oak, doesn’t that ring a bell?” He sighed. “It’s sort of…it’s a way of telling us, that what is going on between you and that human girl, is not supposed to happen.”
“Well duh, dad. I think I already figured that one out.”
“Listen to me before you start mouthing off to me. Poison oak is loosely termed.” He paused. “It’s poison, but if the vine travels to close to the heart - which it no doubt will - it’ll…”
“It will what?”
“She will no doubt die, and if she dies, then it wont be long after her, that you will too.”
Fenrir let that sink in for a moment. He’d heard of Roy’s story. About his mate dying, and he had to have a witch fix that. That was why they were here in the first place.
“The only solution is to take your mate. Claim her as your own.”
“That’s not possible.” He shook his head.
“And why the fuck not?”
Why didn’t he want to take her as his own? It wasn’t that he didn’t want to. Oh he damn well did want to. But he couldn’t. Despite how much she drove him over the edge, and how badly he wanted to spend his life with his fated mate, he knew deep down…he didn’t want it with a human.
A human would not give him what he needed.
Not answering his Dad’s question, he finally replied with something else. “We are here, in Argentina, waiting for a witch who should be here tomorrows time. She has known the witch that Roy knew, who helped him through his problem. We are sure she can do something for us as well.”
There was a very long pause on the other end of the line this time, as if Lothos were seriously contemplating on that one.
“We will see what the witch has to say. In the mean time…I’m getting a plane ticket.”

Faye awoke to a splitting headache that did not seem to want to leave her quick enough. It made vision blur and made her not want to even open her eyes. But when she did, Sam was sitting right there at the edge of her bed.
Realization struck her big time. One minute she and Fenrir were having a really good moment and then the next…
“Where’s Fenrir.?” She demanded and quickly sat up. When she did, a wave of nausea swept over her and if her headache could get any worse, it did just then. Bringing her hand over her forehead, she fell back against the mattress. Her chest felt cool, and when she looked down, her gown was in a disheveled mess. In other words, Fenrir had ripped it so bad, that she quickly had to fix it in order to cover herself.
“Are you alright?” Sam asked, and when she looked at him, he looked very concerned.
“Where is Fenrir?” She repeated. She wanted to know. “I have to apologize to him-” She shook her head. Why was she even telling him that?
Sam stood up, and leaned over her, fixing her pillows in such a way so that she could prop herself up some. It was a nice favor, and any other time she’d be happy over a simple gesture, but right now…she felt…
Fucking embarrassed.
She’d never felt so embarrassed in her entire life.
“I don’t think Fenrir is too concerned about that, honey.” Sam said, and then settled himself back into his spot, at the edge of the bed again.
“Would you just go get him?” She spat a little too harshly. An apologetic look touched her facial features then. “I’m sorry. I just…I really need to talk to him.”
“He went into town with Roy. He had some things he needed to take care of, but he will be back shortly.” He looked down at his watch, and it posed a question out of Faye.
“How long was I out this time?”
He blinked. “So this has happened before?” She nodded, and he sighed. “I’d say, approximately two hours.”
Just like last time.
“He should be here about now.”
“Where did he go?”
He looked up at her from his watch. “He had to come up with some plane tickets for our father.”
“Your…father?”
He nodded. “He is coming here. Faye-” He brought his hand to her arm. “- there seems to be a problem with all of this.” He shook his head and looked down. “It will all be explained to you in due time.”
“Just tell me.”
“I can’t. It’s not my place. In fact, we aren’t even sure. That is why Lothos is coming here. He knows more about all of this than any of us do. In fact, it seems he knows a lot about this.” He motioned to the spot, none other than where her mark was located.
She was silent when listening to him. Okay then, she would just wait until this Lothos appeared. Truth be told, she was a bit nervous to meet this Dad of theirs, because of what she was in the eyes of his pack.
“Faye, I’m going to be honest with you.” He straightened his back, and looked over at her. “I would advise you, to not go along with Fen’s advances.”
“What do you mean?” She gave a sarcastic smirk.
“I mean…” He swallowed hard, and…was that a blush? “Don’t go along with Fenrir. Do not follow through with yours or his desires.”
She blinked this time, and raised a brow. “And why not?”
“Because this whole…ordeal, has caused enough problems.” Clearing his throat, he continued. “I d
on’t mean to sound harsh to you, because really, you are a nice gal. But…that is my brother.” He looked over at her. “In pack, family means everything. Blood run’s thicker than normal. In a world of humanity…we just don’t fit in and so, all we have is each other.”
