The Return (A Decision of Love Book 1) Page 9

Dan smiled. “It was a bitch having to take them down every time you came downtown to visit.” He kissed me, stroking my face. “Will you paint your first one for our house?”

“I’ll paint the first one for you.” I grabbed his tie pulling his face close. “We may not be able to hang it in the living room though.”

His lips pressed against mine, tasting me. My muscles tightened when his tongue flicked across my lips, finding its way into my mouth until I gasped for air. We broke apart when we heard Vivie padding down the hall.

“Forget the stairs. Tonight we christen your studio.”

He clutched my bottom before going in search of his daughter.

After dinner, Dan climbed into the attic for the easels and work tables. The furniture was piled in the hallway until we decided what to do with it. Although, I still had to paint the walls, excitement got the better of me. I assembled the easels, setting them up in front of the window.

“You need a larger window. I’ll call a contractor tomorrow to get a price on some renovations. What about a skylight?”

  “You’re reading my mind again.”

“I’ll have him price that, too.”

Dan left me to work in my studio while he took Vivie up to bed. He’d be gone for at least thirty minutes reading her a story.

Adam was home squirreled away in his room talking to Alexa on the phone. My stomach knotted thinking about their blossoming romance. He was more serious about this girl than any of the others. I shuddered at the thought that he would follow in his father’s footsteps. He was still too young to get serious, but it wasn’t within my control. Maybe Josh would talk to him.

As soon as I thought his name, he was in my mind.

Josh would be relieved once he learned that I was going to paint again. After the divorce, it was easy to blame him. He’d been devastated when I stopped. He’d always been my biggest fan, bragging to everyone about his wife, the greatest artist since sliced bread.

A chill ran down my back. What was wrong with me thinking about Josh? How could it be possible to love two men? But the ache in my heart was real. I needed to get a handle on my out-of-control emotions.

Dan stood in the doorway his head cocked to the side peering at me. “Are you okay?” He always knew when something bothered me.

I went to him, putting my arms around his waist, burying my face against his chest.

“Of course I’m okay. How could I not be, I’m married to you?”

Guilt twisted my heart. Sometimes I was my own worst enemy, foolish. Women would do anything for a husband like Dan.

He kissed my head. “Vivie is asleep. Adam won’t leave his phone. Maybe we should meet this Alexa, who has him turned inside out.”

“I was thinking the same thing.”

He pulled me back against the door, locking it behind us. Turning off the light, he lit several candles. “We don’t want the neighbors to see my magic. It’s secret stuff.” He grinned sheepishly.

His hands slipped under my shirt to the front closure of my bra. It was going to be one of those nights when he drove me wild undressing me. He unbuttoned the top four buttons of my shirt, his teeth pulling the fabric to the side exposing my breasts.

He leaned back, his eyes drinking them in.

  “You’re so beautiful.”

Running a finger around the outline of my breasts, he grazed my nipple with his thumb. I closed my eyes concentrating on the feel of his hand touching me.

One finger, a feathery touch, and I was rooted to the spot. My nipple responded, growing erect. He would take his time working me into a frenzy.

Leaning towards me, he circled my nipple with his tongue, then rubbed it across the top like he would an ice cream cone. My stomach clenched. Wrapping his mouth around my swollen flesh he drew it into his mouth.

My head moved from side to side, a moan escaping my lips. He cradled my breasts with his hands, his mouth sucking one then the other.

Knees trembling, I held onto his shoulders for balance. The moment his hand clutched between my legs a surge of electricity shot through me.

“I love you,” he whispered huskily.

I was incapable of words. “Hmm.” I barely got the sound out.

My legs tightened around his hand and I moaned.

He turned me to face away from him. Lifting my shirt, his lips kissed my skin, his tongue tasting me. My body shuddered, ready to collapse in a heap on the floor.

His erection pressed against me while his hands cradled my breasts rolling my nipples between his thumb and forefinger.

He released the remaining buttons on my shirt and it slid down my arms to the floor.

He groaned into my neck. His hands continued to squeeze my breast, his fingers causing a riot of sensations with my nipples while his mouth kissed my back. My head rolled back against his shoulder, my eyes closed while his tongue tasted my neck and his teeth nipped my ear. I was delirious, every nerve screaming for him.

My bra followed the same path as my shirt. I tried to turn around, but he held me in place.

  “Not yet, baby.”

He slowly unzipped my jeans and slipped his hand inside. He groaned when he reached between my legs. His other hand brought me closer to his body and his erection rubbed against me. I’d stopped thinking, my body was on automatic pilot. I bent over, my bottom grinding against him while his fingers dipped into me. The sensations exploded until they filled my core. Tightening my legs around his hand, my hips moved back and forth. My breathing intensified, my body shuddered unable to stop.

“That’s it baby. Let it happen.”

My orgasm raged through my body. The second it hit my brain, my vision disappeared. There were bright lights floating before my eyes. The sensations washed over me. My body collapsed against him, every bone a limp noodle.

  “Too much,” I said breathlessly.

He picked me up, laying me on the large desk, my legs hanging over the edge. He could have folded me up and put me in a drawer. Oh God, he was removing my jeans.

“I can’t do this again. I don’t have any strength.”

He put a finger to my lips. “You don’t need any, I do.”

“You’re a giant amongst giants.” My voice broke.

He left a trail of kisses on my legs. With the little strength left, my hand reached for his erection, but he pushed it away.

“Not yet. If you touch me, I’m done.”

My fingers stroked him. “That’s what I’m hoping for.”

There was a chuckle in the distance, but he had my leg over his shoulder, sucking on the back of my knee. My body had a mind of its own, the fire started to burn. Could my heart take this, or was I going to die on the desk in my new studio?

His tongue grazed a path up my thighs settling between my legs. At first his tongue darted in and out, but when I shuddered, he dove in reaching deep inside me. His tongue knew its way around hitting all the hot spots until he found that particular one that drove me into a whirlwind of need. He knew exactly where to go to turn me into a quivering mess.

“Fuck me.” I directed through gritted teeth. “I’ll never be able to do this a third time.” My fingers wrapped around his hair, yanking his head. “Fuck me, now.”

“Holy shit, baby. Was my magic that good? I’ve turned you into a tiger?”

“You know it was. It always is. If my body quivers anymore, I’m going to have a convulsion.”

Dan tore off his clothes. Standing before me, his huge erection stared me in the face.

  “Well hello there big boy.”

Rolling off the desk, I dropped to my knees. He stepped closer, his erection throbbing. I opened my mouth, taking him in. His groan rocked my world. My mouth slid down the length of his pulsating manhood.

A groan erupted from deep in his chest. His fingers tangled in my hair, thrusting his penis deep into my throat. His rhythm increased, his hands gripping my shoulders. He breathed heavily.

Suddenly, he pulled out. Pulling me
up and leaning me over the desk, he separated my legs with his knee. Gripping my hips with his hands, he entered, sliding slowly in and out. As soon as he ran his tongue on my back, I shivered and my bottom ground against him.

Our pace quickened as desire took over, any awareness other than our need for each other abandoned me. My only thought was of what was happening between my legs. His groans triggered my muscles. I tightened around him. Moaning, I couldn’t stop the yell that hovered on my lips.

  “Dan, I’m coming.”

He thrust deeper into me, until I felt his warmth explode. I clenched and unclenched my muscles drawing all he had into me. Our bodies covered with sweat, he turned me to face him. Pushing my damp hair away from my face, he kissed me.

“You are my life. I don’t want to live without you.” I nestled against his chest feeling his heart pump against me.

My hands cradled his face. “I love you.”

I was done talking to Josh. He could get any woman he wanted. He’d been fine without me for the past several years.
