“Uh…,” she laughed, and scooted away from him toward the other side of the bed, but he was faster.
He grabbed her leg and pulled her across the bed, sending her into a fit of giggles.
“Ha, you can’t get away from me,” he said as he covered her body with his own.
“Never,” she said, the giggles gone. “I love you, Mark.”
“I love you, too, baby girl,” he said, and kissed her gently on the lips. “Merry Christmas.”
“Merry Christmas, my bear.”
