Heart slowly returning to some semblance of normality, Carson lowered her thigh from Yanis’s side, letting out a tiny whimper of sated protest when his cock slipped from her sex.
He chuckled, the sound breathless as much as it was relaxed, that laugh, the one he’d given her earlier in the night, the one that came with crinkling edges at his eyes.
That laugh. Long after Yanis had returned to Australia, she would remember that laugh and this night.
Drawing in a slow breath, she stepped away from him, smoothed her skirt down over her thighs and adjusted the torn front of her shirt.
He watched her. Smiled. Didn’t say a word as he corrected his clothing.
A few seconds later Yanis Drakos, Alpha Male supreme, stood in the elevator with her, his Hugo Boss suit looking all the more confident and sexy for its unbuttoned shirt.
Their eyes connected.
Carson lifted her chin.
With another smile, this one crooked and playful, Yanis stepped past her and pressed the Open Door button on the elevator’s operator panel.
The door slid open with a soft chime. The empty foyer waited on the other side.
He stepped out into it, and then turned to her. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Ms Swift,” he said, sliding his hands into his hip pockets, the sexiest Greek god she’d ever seen. “At the shopping mall.”
The elevator doors slid closed on his grin.
With a little hum of delighted satisfaction, Carson pressed the button for her office floor, leant her back against the wall and crossed her ankles as the car began to rise.
She had to get back to work. The Screaming Tuesdays needed her to organise the best appearance at a shopping centre a band ever had.
