“So do you,” he said, giving me a peck on the lips. “Is that a new dress?”
“It’s something I’ve been fiddling around with for the new spring line. Is it any good?”
“It’s incredible. You look incredible,” he said, running his hands down the sides of my body.
“Keep it in your pants until we get home,” I teased. We’d been together for two years, and our sex life was better than ever. We worked long days, but we always managed to spend plenty of time in bed together.
At the restaurant, Josh ordered our food and wine in perfect Italian. He had really gotten a grasp on the language. There was nothing hotter than listening to him talk dirty to me in Italian.
“Let’s make a toast,” he said, raising his full glass.
“Is it going to be excessively emotional?” I asked, partially kidding. “I couldn’t find my waterproof mascara, so you can’t make me cry.”
“Fine. I’ll keep it simple. To the most incredible woman I know. Two years down, a lifetime to go.”
I touched my glass to his and took a sip. We had created a perfect life together from scratch. Our crazy life together couldn’t have been any better, even if we had tried.
