  “Yeah, I know.”

“Well, that’s good; we will leave it there for now and continue next week. In the meantime I want you to keep going to this support group. Even though I don’t necessarily believe their stories I do think it’s helping you feel more at ease in talking about this problem with me.”

“OK doc, thank you, I’ll see you next week.”

Jack got up, shook the psychologist’s hand and left the room.

Later that night Jack was driving his car on a dirt track out to the homestead on his farm when suddenly his lights died and his car’s electronics failed. As his car came to a slow halt Jack felt the all-too-familiar intense fear come across his body. He sobbed quietly and punched his steering wheel in frustration, knowing full well he was about to be taken again. Instead of freaking out this time the way he usually would, he sat back and simply lit up a smoke, took a deep drag and mumbled to himself, “OK, you bastards, come and get me.”

Within a few seconds of him saying this, a bright blue light lit up his vehicle. Once again he was paralysed and he dropped his smoke out of the window onto the dirt. As his breathing started increasing with fear, he circled his eyes around his car and saw five grey aliens looking at him. Voices started going off in his head as the aliens communicated with him telepathically. They were saying, “Don’t be afraid. We are here to help you.”

As Jack heard this in his mind, he didn’t believe them because of the encounters he had already had with them. He looked into his rear-vision mirror and saw four tiny bright blue dots coming towards the rear of the car. It seemed strange to Jack that he was more puzzled by four blue dots approaching than he was about five grey aliens about to abduct him.

As the dots got to about 15 metres from the car the fading moonlight provided enough light for him to discern that the glowing blue dots were actually two sets of eyes. It was two enormous men walking towards him, both carrying swords and wearing gold gladiator-style chest armour. Suddenly, the swords appeared to catch fire. There were flames coming out of the entire length of the blades. This provided more light and the aliens looked in their direction. As the pair got closer they sprouted their wings.

It was the archangels Michael and Gabriel.

The aliens sprinted away in fear. After running about 10 metres, one by one in quick succession they were sucked back up into the ship by the blue light. The ship disappeared, leaving a small gust of wind behind it.

As Michael got to the driver’s-side door his eyes returned to a normal colour, his sword’s flames disappeared and the fierce look on his face turned to one of compassion and love as he opened the door and offered his hand to Jack.

Jack’s paralysis was gone but a tear ran down his cheek from fear and frustration. He reached out and took Michael’s hand. Michael said, “They will never bother you again. Come with me, child, you are safe now.” Michael helped him out of the car.

As he got out of the car his confusion was almost completely replaced by astonishment at the sheer size of Michael and Gabriel. They were head and shoulders above him.

  “Who are you?” Jack asked.

Gabriel smiled. “We are here to do God’s work and, as of now, so are you.”

Jack squinted with confusion and shrugged. “What would He want with me?”

Michael replied, “We’ll explain that later. Right now, we are going to meet up with the others. Stay still, son.”

Both the archs wrapped their wings around Jack and the trio began to dematerialise and disappear.

The archs were standing guard at Jim’s homestead when their eyes glowed at the impending arrival of their leaders. They got excited as Michael, Gabriel and Jack materialised in front of them.

The archs hugged each other in fellowship and Jack swayed back and forth with a huge smile on his face as if he had been drugged.

Jim, Melinda, Dillon, Bondy and the kids stood there, bewildered.

“Who are these guys?” Dillon said.

Michael spoke. “I am Michael and this is Gabriel.”

Dillon had been raised a Christian and knew who they were so he immediately fell to his knees, bowed his head and made a crossing motion across his chest. Jim and everyone else just looked on, not knowing whether to follow Dillon’s lead.

“Dillon, do not worship me, son,” Michael ordered sternly. “You worship God only. Stand up!”

“I grew up learning about you,” Dillon said.

Michael placed his hand on Dillon’s shoulder and replied, “I know you had good parents and they want you to know they are very happy where they are now. They want you to remember what you were taught. Especially now.”

Dillon sniffed with emotion. “Thank you.”

“Why have you taken physical form?” Uriel asked.

“Because the rapture is coming,” Gabriel said. “We have influenced as many as we could.”

Dillon understood. “Will I be raptured?”

  “What is raptured?” Jim asked.

“It’s when Jesus takes all the believers to heaven and spares them the horrors of the tribulation period,” Dillon told him.

Michael spoke. “I’m sorry Dillon; you people have been chosen to stay behind. Among the millions that will be left behind there are many others that are true, good Christian people. It doesn’t mean they are not worthy or that God loves them any less; it means they have been chosen by God to stay for different reasons.”

“Oh, well, I guess I’ll be staying,” Bondy said.

“What about me?” Jack asked. “I believe in God.”

“You will be staying also as you and many others like you know that the Nephilim are not to be trusted and are truly evil,” Gabriel said.

“Who are the Nephilim?” Jack asked.

  “The aliens,” Gabriel said.

Michael spoke. “We had better sit down.”

The small group all sat around on the balcony and listened intently to Michael.

“They have been here for thousands of years. Hiding like cockroaches and then appearing randomly to carry out their evil deeds. Even in mankind’s vague, incomplete and obscure account of history there are countless records of them. There are cave paintings, which today people have mistaken for aliens from another planet. There are hundreds of thousands of U.F.O. photos and abduction reports. Many key people in human history have been used and deceived by them. Alexander the Great recorded seeing discs in the sky that repeatedly swooped on his army. They were also the ones Hitler was getting his technological advantage from.

“During World War Two the Nazis were obsessed with finding Atlantis and, under the guidance of the Nephilim, they carried out horrific genetic experiments on Jews to try to create a superior race of humans. Whenever one of these so-called alien abductions occurs, the Nephilim extract bodily fluids from the abductees to mix with their own.”

Jim interrupted him. “But who are they?”

“They are the offspring of demons and just as evil,” Michael said. “They are tall, grey and slender and their faces are horrible. When fallen angels or demons bred with female humans thousands of years ago the offspring were gigantic and possessed superhuman strength. God knew of their evil ways and sent the flood to wipe out their physical bodies. It worked and the city of Atlantis where most of them resided was wiped out. A few survived and continued to breed both naturally and genetically. God continued to expel them from earth in His own way. The last of the giant Nephilim was named Goliath; Goliath was killed by David.

“They are now stripped of their superhuman size and strength but not their intelligence and knowledge of the universe and its laws. They are condemned to remain in spiritual form on the earth plane but Satan has been using all his power over the centuries to enable them to drift in and out of this dimension in physical form and continue manipulating the gene pool to create the Nephilim army. Through genetic manipulation he has bred many thousands of the Nephilim. He is planning one final act of deceit to get as many humans to go against the Lord as possib
le and then enslave them in hell forever.”

“Why?” Jack asked. “I don’t get it. Why don’t they just use their technology and invade now?”

Michael answered, “Because God has condemned them so they can’t stay in this dimension in physical form for more than a few hours at a time. Satan is going to unleash them here on the earth plane after he deceives the world into thinking God’s angels are the enemy. Satan’s son the Antichrist will have his reign here soon and when he is at the height of his power the Nephilim will be able to stay in physical form until they are wiped out. The Antichrist will proclaim that the Nephilim are our friends and leaders and that he himself is God. If only mankind knew. Satan is a master of lies and deception whereas we deal only in truth.”

  CHAPTER 8

  THE RAPTURE

In a crowded airport coffee lounge, Sammael sat with another demon watching a television broadcasting the carnage he had created. Containing his contempt for the hundreds of travellers walking past him, he pulled out one of the canisters containing the virus from his pocket. He opened it and held it up to the air-conditioning to help it spread more effectively. The odourless nature of the virus meant the hundreds of travellers had no idea what they were breathing in. As he was holding the canister up, the young male barista at the coffee shop continued frothing the milk under his machine but said to Sammael, “Sir, what are you doing?”

“None of your fucken business!” Sammael replied, as other patrons watched with curiosity or indifference.

The young worker simply shook his head and kept working, oblivious to the fact that he and hundreds of other people in the airport would soon be helping to spread the deadly virus.

Asmodious and Da-en were at another airport with the intention of doing the same thing. However, Asmodious couldn’t contain his hatred as well as Sammael had, so he walked through the crowd punching people but not hard enough to kill them. He wanted them alive to carry and spread the virus at the various hospitals they were about to visit.

Because of his violent actions it was only a matter of a minute before two security guards ran in to try to restrain him. As one of them dived in for the tackle Asmodious jumped over him, lifting his knees up to his chest in the jump. The second guard was a few metres behind the first and Da-en clotheslined him, knocking him out instantly. Asmodious pulled the deadly canister out of his bag, opened it and threw it at a man so hard it penetrated his chest, breaking his ribs and causing massive bleeding. As more and more travellers tried to grapple the pair, the demons flung them off in every direction with ease. Travellers were getting thrown through the air and landing up to 20 metres away. Da-en said, “OK, it’s done, let’s go.” The pair sprouted their wings and flew out of the terminal, leaving panicked crowds screaming and administering first aid.

All over the world the demons were releasing the virus in airports, shopping centres and train stations and at sporting events. Even isolated communities such as Antarctica and the Pacific Islands were paid a visit. The death toll would be in the billions within weeks.

The archangels sat quietly in a circle outside Jim’s property with their eyes closed and legs crossed while Jim and his crew sorted through rations of food, water and ammunition. Bondy suggested he and Dillon head into town to get more supplies. Jim agreed that they needed much more canned food and told them to take the fuel bladder, which was on a trailer, and fill it for the generator.

Bondy suggested they change out of their military and police fatigues and wear something more appropriate before heading into town. Everybody agreed and complied.

A couple of hours later in the early afternoon Bondy pulled the four-wheel-drive over next to the supermarket and turned to Dillon. “Here is $600. You know what to get. I’ll go and fill up the bladder and pick you up here in about half an hour.”

Dillon looked at his rifle on the seat next to him, took a deep breath and said, “Well, I guess I can’t take that in there.” Bondy reached into the side of his pants and pulled out his Glock pistol. “Here, take this but make sure it remains hidden or you will freak out these backward-assed country fucks.” Dillon grabbed the pistol and stuffed it in his trousers. “Yeah, I guess this isn’t exactly downtown L.A.,” he said, and exited the car.

After Dillon had filled his shopping trolley with everything he could think of that wouldn’t go out of date any time soon, he proceeded to pay for it at the checkout. He flirted with the young female cashier, using his American accent to his full advantage, and then made his way out of the supermarket to wait for Bondy. Within a minute or two Bondy came around the corner with the trailer and bladder filled to the brim. He stopped on the kerb so they could start loading the cans and supplies into the car.

When they were done Bondy threw Dillon a popular Australian beer from the many cartons he had bought while filling up. As Dillon caught it Bondy said, “Here, get this into you; it’s better than that weak-as-piss Yank shit you’d be used to.” “Thanks,” Dillon replied, amused, and they leaned against the bonnet of the four-wheel-drive, cracked their beers and relaxed for a moment while watching the townspeople go about their days.

When they were about halfway through their beers they were looking across the road at the many people walking in the front of the supermarket. All of a sudden a young man fell to the ground and another one, about 10 metres away, fell in the same manner. Bondy threw his beer on the road and yelled, “SNIPER.” Dillon pulled out the Glock he had been given earlier and took up a defensive position near the car. Bondy scrambled around to the passenger door to pull out the assault rifle that was sitting inside the four-wheel-drive. Dillon yelled, “HAVE YOU GOT A TARGET?”

Bondy was now on the other side of the car covering in the opposite direction and he noticed more people falling to the ground. He yelled out, “No, but there are more casualties on this side.”

Dillon and Bondy were both scanning the windows of the three and four-storey buildings looking for the sniper when Dillon glanced down to where he had seen the first man fall. He noticed there was no body and only the clothes the man was wearing.

As he stood he slowly lowered his weapon and his field of view became broader.

He saw further down the street and noticed what appeared to be random people falling down and their clothes being the only trace left behind. Other people were sporadically screaming in shock. Bondy slowly walked around to where Dillon was and the two of them stood helplessly watching on as the surreal events unfolded.

Bondy spoke. “This must be that rapture thing.” Dillon replied, “Yeah, apparently they are the lucky ones!”

  “I don’t see how.”

  “You will.”

The two men got into their car and began the trip back to Jim’s property. As they were driving they had to decrease their speed by about 20 kph to avoid any bewildered and frightened civilians while in the town area. Once out on the highway Bondy floored it and it wasn’t long before he came across a car wreck on the highway. The car had obviously veered off the road over an embankment and into the open. Bondy went to slow down to try to explain to a stunned passenger who had been left behind what had happened but Dillon convinced him otherwise. “Don’t bother, we will come across many more, it will soon become clear to the whole world what has happened.” Bondy agreed and as he couldn’t see anybody who was injured he kept driving.

When they returned to the property all the archangels were standing in a circle with their faces towards the sky and their eyes closed. The rest of the group were going about odd jobs and preparing for whatever might come their way. Jim was digging gun pits out the front of the house when he saw them pull up.

While everyone except the archangels was busy unloading stores from the trip, Dillon and Bondy were talking over each other in an attempt to explain to Jim what they had witnessed in the town. Uriel the archangel then broke from his trance and walked towards the group, leaving the other angels to continue their prayer.

He placed his hand on Jim’s shoulde
r and said, “It is happening!” With that, he turned around and returned to the archangels, leaving Jim confused and feeling a mixture of emotions.

Melinda came running out onto the porch and yelled, “GUYS, YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS!”

As Jim, Bondy and Dillon were walking inside with their backs to the archangels they heard a loud bang and felt a gust of wind. The archangels had unexpectedly taken flight with super speed.

Jim looked at Bondy, who simply raised his hands in an “I don’t know” gesture, an equally puzzled look on his face.

Not knowing why the angels had flown away and being well aware they couldn’t ask them, they hurried inside to see what Melinda was so adamant about them seeing. Everyone stood around the television and watched the news reports of hundreds of millions of people who had reportedly disappeared without a trace. Jim leaned forward and changed the channel; it made no difference, the same news reports were on every channel. When he finally settled on one channel, the reporter was saying, “These reports are coming in from everywhere and now the world is looking to the White House for an explanation, which hopefully we will get during the President’s press conference, which will be in the next couple of hours.”
