Instead, I used my forearm to wipe off the shit that got on me even though it had made her mouth fuckable. Her dad may have been old but he was a big son of a bitch and not in a beer gut way. I didn’t think he was the type to over look me mauling his daughter, which was what he’d assume especially since I was now I stood bare-chested.

“Rose,” a voice that sounded like gravel announced. The smell of fish and the bay wafted off the guy the closer he got to us.

I saw her exhale a breath as she turned to face him while forcing a smile on her face. “Daddy.” The glee in her voice didn’t match how her posture seemed to cave in on itself in his presence.

“Roth,” he said taking off his dirty cap and swiping a hand through hair that appeared greasy from sweat.

“Mr. Douglas.” I gave him a quick nod of acknowledgement before returning my attention to the car. I taped on the radiator cap like I’d been hard at work instead of conjuring dirty thoughts about his underage daughter.

Out of the corner of my eye, I watched their exchange.

“Is dinner ready?” he asked her, putting a hand on her shoulder.

I saw her jerk under his touch then bob of her head in affirmation. Her reaction gave me pause until his next question.

  “How’s your mother?”

His hand dropped away from her and I stopped breathing for a second to hear her response. Everyone knew about her mom and even I was curious about her answer.

“The same,” she declared which wasn’t an unexpected answer. Her words seemed forced though and he must have noticed her disposition. She’d seemed nervous and on edge like someone who was doing something she wasn’t supposed to.

“Well you should get inside and leave Roth alone. He looks busy.” He aimed his next words at me and I almost squirmed. Luckily, I’d faced bigger and worst threats. “Back from school I see.”

“Yes sir,” I said, turning my head to face him.

  “How is college?”

I didn’t exactly go to university but I didn’t want to get into it.

  “It’s good,” I said instead.

“I can’t imagine what it will be like when Rose here finally goes off to college.” His eyes held mine and I nodded. Message received. It was another clear warning that she wasn’t legal. It was as if fate was pointing out a fork in the road. And I had two possible choices.

“She’s a good kid. I’m sure she’ll do fine when the time comes.”

Rocky rolled her eyes at me while her dad nodded knowing I fully understood. He put a meaty hand on her nape and again I saw her flinch. He steered her towards the house next door and I found myself watching her ass as she walked away. Clearly, I had a death wish.

I wiped my eyes and shook my head. There was plenty of pussy around. There was no way I was getting involved with a girl barely out of a training bra no matter if her tits said otherwise. My dick did a happy dance in my pants as if to prove me wrong. I shifted it because it was becoming painful hard.

My phone began to vibrate in my pocket and it came as a relief. I needed a distraction from thoughts of Rocky underneath me. I pulled it out and a grin spread over my face. My next words came out too easily, as if it were the truth. “Heather, I was just thinking about you.” My dick cared little where I placed it as long as it was wet and warm.

In that moment, the front door of my house banged open and my father stood or rather leaned heavily on the doorframe. I could almost smell the vodka that oozed from his skin. I didn’t have to be close to be reminded of his drinking problem. “Roth,” he began before several Russian epithets left his tongue.

He continued to spout instructions at me in his native tongue. I understood his every word. There was a reason why I hadn’t come home for any length of time in two years. And dear old dad was one of them. It was as if he wanted to ruin my life. Anger built inside me as he got louder. I needed to end this before neighbors came out to find out what was going on. I said into phone, “Heather, let me call you back.”
