While Janie’s innocent belief in the world and other people touched some part of his heart, Brick also knew that her tendency to not take the dangers in life seriously could become a fatal flaw. He couldn’t allow her to continue to take such risks. So, he hadn’t even bothered to try to calm Tex down when he’d gone on a tear while speeding over to Ken’s.
Truth was Brick agreed with almost everything Tex had to say. He wasn’t pleased either. Something had to be done. Something, but the problem was that their options were limited. If Janie had been a relation, then they could have just yelled, threatened, and intimidated her. If she’d been a man, they could have beat some sense into her. If they didn’t love her as much, then they wouldn’t have cared.
In all ways, Brick and Tex were screwed.
So, Janie was about to be screwed because that’s all they really had left.
Brick wouldn’t deny that he was looking forward to what was coming. The past few days had been long, and hard, painfully hard, and all he really wanted to do was curl up around Janie and hold her tight, but her mother had barely allowed them to kiss Janie’s cheek, much less even hold her hand.
Helena had made it clear that she’d heard all the rumors about Brick, Tex, and her daughter and knew, too, that they weren’t just rumors. While she made it clear that she’d respect whatever Janie chose to do with her life, there would be no hanky-panky under Helena’s roof until there was a ring on her daughter’s finger.
A ring was just what Brick had in his pocket.
He knew that it might seem a little quick by some people’s standards, but Brick also knew that he had to move quickly before Tex finally got off his ass and got his own ring. Brick didn’t doubt that Tex would eventually get around to asking Janie to marry him, or would if she weren’t already married to Brick. Brick wanted the title of husband. It came with all sorts of privileges.
Not that Brick doped himself into believing that Tex wouldn’t be acting like her husband every chance he got. He could live with that, could live with sharing Janie, but that didn’t mean he didn’t want to have some special claim on her. Of course, for him to make that claim, she’d have to be alive, which brought Brick right back to the moment at hand as Tex finally pulled his truck into his driveway.
It was time to start teaching Janie a lesson.
Chapter Eleven
Tex threw the truck into park, kicked down the foot break, and wrenched the key out of the ignition. Then he clamped down onto Janie’s wrist and all but dragged her from the vehicle. A part of him had expected her to object, or at least resist, and Tex couldn’t deny that he was a little disappointed when she did neither.
Instead, Janie followed him with a sulk that assured Tex she wasn’t pleased, even if she wasn’t protesting. Not that anything she said or did would change Tex’s mind. He still couldn’t get over the risks she’d taken. She was his everything, and he couldn’t lose her. He wouldn’t. That was just what he intended to make clear as he dragged her into his bedroom.
Tex had everything already set up, having taken care of that task days ago. That was how long he’d been plotting, knowing that Janie couldn’t hide out at her mother’s house for the rest of her life and that sometime they’d get around to having the conversation she clearly wanted to avoid. Sometime was today. It was right then and there.
Tex didn’t have to explain that fact to Janie.
She figured it out all on her own, coming to a stumbling stop as she took in the rings on his bedframe and the toys laid out like surgical instruments on the small folding table he’d set up beside the bed. Her eyes rounded with alarm as she turned to gape at Tex.
“What is all of this?” Janie demanded to know, starting to try to pull her hand free.
“This? This is punishment,” Tex explained as he released her, but there was nowhere for Janie to run, not with Brick blocking the door. “Now be a good girl and strip.”
Janie ignored that command to scowl up at him. “Punishment? For what?”
Tex didn’t answer. He didn’t see any reason to. Janie knew what she’d done, and now it was time for her to suffer the consequences. Tex made that perfectly clear as he stared down at her, refusing to let the least bit of softness sound in his tone.
“Let me explain something to you here, honey. You’re not in charge. We are, and when we give a command, you will obey, or you will be punished. Now strip.”
Janie glared back at him, still refusing to obey. She didn’t argue with him either, just held his gaze for a long moment before turning toward Brick and trying to work her feminine wiles on him with a pout and plead.
“You don’t really want to do this…I promise I’ll be have.”
When she was dead or old maybe. Thankfully, Brick knew that to be true. Tex’s cousin didn’t answer Janie’s plaintive plea but simply crossed his arms over his chest and made his stance clear. This was going to happen. That wasn’t up for discussion.
“Strip,” Tex commanded, sharpening his tone as he tacked on a simple threat. “I won’t ask again.”
Janie turned back to him and lifted her chin into the air in silent defiance. Tex smiled. He didn’t really want her to obey. He was kind of looking forward to ripping the clothes right off her. Janie must have figured that out because, when he lunged for her, she had already started to take off.
Since she couldn’t run for freedom, she ran for the window, planning to jump right through it Not that she made it. Tex lifted her off her feet before she’d even taken two steps. He tossed her squealing through the air onto the bed. She tried to scramble over the opposite edge, but Tex latched down on her foot and all but tore her shoe right off before sinking his fist into the fabric of her skirt. The cotton gave easily as he shredded the floral print without any hesitation.
Her panties followed as Janie fought him every inch of the way. She cussed and kicked and wiggled, but it made no difference. Tex had her naked within a minute. He could tell that, despite her animated objections, Janie was just as turned on as him. The proof was there in the slick glisten of her arousal dampening her thighs and in the hard, puckered points of her breasts as they heaved with every breath she took.
That was just how Tex wanted her. He wanted her hot, wet, and ready.
Now it was time to have some fun.
* * * *
Janie was secretly having fun, not that she’d ever admit that to Tex, lest he think he could get away with this kind of barbaric behavior on a more regular basis. Her wardrobe couldn’t outlast such a thing, but she didn’t begrudge the loss of her skirt or shirt. Having her clothes ripped off her body sent a delicious thrill through her.
That tingle bloomed into an all-out shiver as Tex flipped her around on the bed so that she lay sprawled out. He made short work of latching her wrists and ankles to the bedframe, despite her feeble, half-hearted struggles. She was bound, spread eagle and completely naked, totally at the mercy of both men, now eyeing her with a ravenous hunger that had her stomach muscles clenching, quivering with an exited anticipation.
They didn’t jump on her, though. Brick didn’t even move but continued to monitor the situation from the doorway. He looked like a bouncer and Tex the magician about to perform an act as he turned toward the table set up beside the bed. The first thing he picked up was a short-handled whip. The tassels hung down, a soft, fuzzy set of fur that swayed and shifted to reveal the darker, smoother leather ones hidden within.
“You have several punishments coming to you,” Tex decreed as he slowly stroked the tails of the whip. “And can you guess what the first one is for?”
Janie could, but she really didn’t want to bring the subject up, not while he held that flogger in his hand. He wouldn’t let her get away with refusing him.
“Guess,” he demanded as he lifted the whip into the air, his wrist arching back with a clear threat that had Janie answering instantly.
“For tying you and Brick up.”
She’d dared to hope that would appease him, bu
t Tex’s smile assured her that he had no intention of being dissuaded from his plans. There was no stopping him or the pleasure that lit out of her breasts as those tassels snapped over her flesh. They fell in a cascade that both stung and tickled, igniting a fierce rush of heat that left her skin flushed as her back arched. Tex accepted that silent invitation, whipping her again and setting off a whole new wave of delight that left Janie moaning.
“You like that, huh?” Tex’s smile took on a devious curve as his gaze narrowed on her pussy. “Let’s see how much you like this.”
With that, he brought the tassels down over the exposed folds of her cunt. Bond as she was, Janie could do little but cry out as her sensitive flesh exploded and an exquisite rush of rapture shot straight up her spine. He didn’t stop there but kept on going, dancing the ends of the tassels right up over her clit before snapping them down on the tiny bud and making Janie scream with the hard lick of molten ecstasy that shot through her.
Still, Tex didn’t hesitate or slow down but drove her through one release and straight into another until the tears began to gather along her lashes and Janie all but sobbed for a moment. Just one moment to catch her breath. That was all she needed.
Tex didn’t grant her that luxury but danced the tassels of the whip back up over her breasts. The soft, fuzzy strands lingered there, circling over her puckered tips and making Janie gasp and twist beneath the ticklish pleasure. The tingles spasming through her wound down slowly along with his motions until, finally, Tex lifted the whip away from her flushed flesh and granted her a second to try and calm down her rioting senses.
It wasn’t easy. The air burned as it filled her lungs with each heaving breath she took, and her body buzzed with an unquenched need for more, for something harder and thicker. Janie wanted to fuck.
She needed Tex, but his hands didn’t drop to the bulge tenting his jeans. She watched with a watery gaze as he lifted up a strange looking dildo and began to lube it up. It was only when he turned back to her that it dawned on Janie where he planned to stick that toy, and her ass clenched at the very idea.
“Now it is time for punishment number two.” Tex hesitated, his look saying everything he didn’t, and Janie knew he wanted her to confirm her sins.
“I don’t deserve a second punishment,” Janie said, daring to defy him. “I didn’t do anything wrong.”
“You got Logan shot,” Tex stated, each word clipped out with a sharpness that held an accusation Janie took instant offense to.
“I didn’t shoot him!” Janie scowled. “Besides, better him than you.”
That was a horrible thing to say, but an honest one nevertheless. Not that Tex appeared to agree.
“I am your lover. It’s my right to get shot for you.”
“What?” Janie couldn’t help but cough up a rough laugh at that bit of idiocy. “You’re insane.”
“And you’re mine,” Tex countered instantly, causing Brick to clear his throat.
Still filling in the doorway, watching like some perverted voyeur, Brick appeared a little annoyed with his cousin. His frown, though, faded as he nodded with Tex’s correction.
“You’re ours.”
That she was, but that didn’t change Janie’s stance in the slightest. “And you’re both mine. I protect what is mine.”
Janie could tell that both pleased and irritated Tex and Brick. She could sympathize. It was a joy to be claimed and a nightmare to consider what that might cost the other. She didn’t want anybody to die for her, not even Logan. Thankfully, he was already on the mend and out of the hospital.
“We’re bigger.” Brick finally broke his silence, pacing slowly into the room as he emphasized every step with another word. “We’re stronger. We’re trained to protect. It’s our job.”
“And what’s my job?” Janie shot back. “To sit back and let you die for me?”
“I love you, Janie, but I’m not going to die for you.” Brick came to a stop at the foot of the bed, his words licking out over her like a cold chill. “I’d kill for you.”
He meant it. That probably should have frightened Janie, but it didn’t. Instead, it touched her with a power that left her in no doubt of what he was really saying.
“I love you both, too,” Janie confessed. “Which is why I can’t sit back and let either of you get hurt.”
That had Brick’s frown deepening, and he turned to nod at Tex, who sighed and shrugged.
“I love you, too, honey, but that ain’t going to save you what is coming.”
With that warning he bent over her. She knew just what he intended. It was so dirty and so naughty, but that didn’t stop her from aching with anticipation. Her eyes closed as she tried to control the frenzy of emotions that swirled through her as Tex brought the sticky head of the strange dildo to press against the clenched entrance of her ass.
“Relax.”
It was an impossible thought that such a sharp command could be so easily obeyed, but her body did as he directed. Janie took a deep breath, feeling the tension in her muscles lessen as he pressed the dildo inward. It filled her with both its hardness and a delicious sense of delight that had Janie’s eyes falling closed as she panted through the pleasure.
It was only the beginning.
* * * *
Brick watched with a heated gaze as Tex packed the plug deep into Janie’s ass. The pouty pucker of her lips parted over sexy little pants that had her breasts rising in an invitation that he was hard-pressed not to take. He wanted her, wanted her so badly that he ached with pain he’d never known before.
It took all his strength to hold back as Tex turned and picked up the next dildo. This one had an attachment that settled over Janie’s clit. Her response came instantly as Tex filled her cunt with the hard plastic. Janie squealed and squirmed in a delightful bounce and shift of her flushed curves, testing the very limits of Brick’s self-control as he tracked her every motion with hungry eyes.
When Tex turned the vibrator on and Janie shrieked with delight, Brick couldn’t take it anymore. He was either going to jump on her, or he had to leave right there and then. That was just what he did, retreating back down the hall toward the kitchen. Tex followed him a minute later, only that bastard whistled a happy tune.
It was just for that joyous little tune that Brick turned around and slugged his cousin as he walked into the kitchen. Tex bent over as Brick’s fist plowed into his belly and instantly started to gasp for breath as he stumbled about until he made it to the counter. He leaned against the hard laminate as he turned, still half bent, to glare at Brick.
“What the hell was that for?”
“For thinking that Big Bob was somehow responsible for stalking Janie,” Brick shot back, both lying in the moment and venting a long-held annoyance. “You almost got her killed.”
“Bullshit,” Tex shot back instantly. “It wasn’t my fault that Ken’s mother was too short to set off the motion detectors. Maybe you shouldn’t have set them at five feet.”
It would pain Brick too much to admit that Tex had a point, so he didn’t. Instead, he just stood there glaring down at his cousin and fighting back the urge to hit him again for being so right. Tex seemed to sense the danger and held his hands up in surrender.
“Okay.” Tex straightened up cautiously. “Why don’t we just agree that we both made mistakes but none of them were as bad as what Janie did? Huh? And focus our energy on punishing her.”
Brick snorted at that, all too aware of the sounds of passions floating down the hall. Janie was grunting and moaning away back in the bed. She needed a man, called out for one, but Tex and Brick didn’t answer because, in the end, they both knew the risk that she would take again if they didn’t make this lesson stick.
The truth was that their lives were always at risk. It was part of the job. Janie had to accept that, or consequences could be disastrous. That didn’t make the wait any easier. A few shots of whiskey did. The alcohol snaked through Brick’s blood, leaving a heated trail that had
him questioning the wisdom of Tex’s plan. He wasn’t alone in his doubts.
Tex kept checking the time on his phone, making the minutes crawl past even slower until he finally shoved away from the counter and headed back down the hall. Brick followed, praying every step of the way that Janie gave Tex the answer they both wanted to hear. That is if she could answer.
Flushed and sweaty, straining against her binds, Janie gasped for breath as Tex finally turned off the vibrator. Tex gave her a second before starting to demand answers. Brick prayed that Janie answered correctly because he didn’t want to wait to reward her any longer.
“Do you know why you are being punished?”
“Because you’re a jerk,” Janie spat back.
There went Brick’s hopes that this problem would resolve itself quickly. It didn’t. His suffering went on for almost an hour before Janie finally started to break. By then they’d all been pushed to the edge of their endurance, but still, Janie refused to fully give in, offering instead a plaintive plea when Tex asked her, once again, why she was being punished.
“Because I love you,” Janie whimpered. “And I can’t stand the thought of you in danger.”
That honest admission all but broke Brick’s heart, and he heaved a deep sigh as he shared a look with Tex. He allowed his cousin, though, to speak for them both, agreeing with almost every word Tex said.
“But, honey, we’re always in danger. You’ve got to learn to accept that and dare to love us anyway.” Tex paused, giving Janie a moment to digest that before he pressed her. “Can you do that? Can you take that risk?”
Janie didn’t answer at first but slowly nodded, easing the tension that had gripped Brick’s heart as she whispered back, “I’d risk anything for you two.”
With that, the damn of Brick’s self-restraint broke.
* * * *
Janie couldn’t take anymore. She’d have said anything to relieve the tension gripping her body in a tight fist. Strung out on the edge of a release that refused to come, she could feel the tears gathering in her eyes. They overflowed her lashes and trickled down her cheeks, wetting her lips as they rolled to the edge of her chin and fell…or, maybe it was sweat. Janie didn’t know.
