“Yes, of course,” the man said. “We will do everything we can to strike your names from any records of this incident. But there will undoubtedly be a few videos that leak. We won’t be able to track them all.”

“Fair enough,” Sebastian said. “Thank you.” There was a finality in Sebastian’s words, and the man accepted it, nodded, and turned back toward the palace.

“Can we go home now?” Lily asked from under Sam’s arm.

“Yes, let’s go home,” Phoenyx said.

“You may now kiss the brides.”

Lily and Sam modestly kissed in front of the large audience, but Sebastian made a show of it, wrapping his arms around Phoenyx, dipping her over and planting a passionate, deep kiss on her mouth that made their friends and family howl.

“I now pronounce you men and wives!” Marcucio said, and everyone cheered.

Sebastian scooped Phoenyx up into his arms and ran with her back down the aisles of chairs in the garden courtyard of the witch’s safehouse in New Orleans, and Phoenyx giggled all the while.

She couldn’t imagine being any happier than she was at this moment. She had just married the love of her eternity in front of all of her relatives and friends.

Well, almost all of her friends…

Once they returned to LA, they didn’t want to waste one more second of their forever and got engaged right away. Sam had proposed to Lily on the very same night, and it had been Skylar’s idea that they have a joint wedding. Of course, Phoenyx and Lily loved the idea, and began planning right away. Thought it was the middle of November, a week away from Thanksgiving, everyone Phoenyx had ever cared about in this brief lifetime was in attendance, and she was honored that Marcucio and the New Orleans witches had invited them to have the event in this beautiful, magical place—and that Marcucio had volunteered to ordain the marriages.

As many girls, she had always fantasized about her wedding day, but not even her wildest fantasies could compare to this. She was in the most beautiful dress she could ever imagine, she was surrounded by people she loved with all her heart, and the venue was literally whispering with magic.

Phoenyx and Sebastian danced until their legs gave out, loving the jazz music that Sam had insisted on. Phoenyx’s mom, who simply could not believe the sudden engagement and even more sudden marriage, had very quickly fallen under Sebastian’s charms, and spent much of the evening mom-flirting with him.

Like many parties in New Orleans, this one ran late into the night, and now Phoenyx and Sebastian were the only ones in the courtyard, swaying to some slow melodic blues tune.

“I can’t believe I finally have you all to myself,” Sebastian said. “Forever this time, Mrs. Reed.”

She giggled at her new title. “I’m having second thoughts about the name change. I think Sebastian Blake sounds so much better.”

“Love you, Mrs. Reed,” he teased.

“And I love you, Mr. Blake.”

Sebastian sighed. “There’s just no winning with you, is there, my love?”

She waved her newly ringed finger in front of his face. “Don’t you see? We’ve already won.” And then she drew him in for a kiss as they slow-danced under a yellow autumn moon.
