“I can’t wait. I’ve wanted you all day. You feel so good,” Johanna panted.
Frankie matched Johanna’s rhythmic moves as they climaxed together. As the lingering sensation washed over her, she clung to Johanna’s back and kept her securely enclosed in her arms while their heartbeats slowed. After a few minutes Johanna slid off her and Frankie quickly wrapped her in her arms.
“I never dreamed we’d still be so hot for each other after all these years together,” Frankie murmured contentedly.
Johanna caressed Frankie’s cheek with her fingertips. “We’re unique. Or maybe we’re nymphos,” she said before she let out a throaty laugh. “I feel sorry for the couples who are so busy with their lives that they drift apart and don’t spend time together and eventually stop making love all together. Eventually they become strangers sharing the same bed, but nothing else. Look at how busy we are, but we always have time for each other.”
“Maybe they somehow lost their physical attraction to one another,” Frankie mused. “Or they may have never had it in the first place.” She sighed. “I can’t imagine not desiring you. I could make love to you all day and night.”
“You have several times,” Johanna whispered. “And I love every minute of it. We have something special, baby, that goes way beyond just physical lust. I treasure every second with you. I love everything we do, whether it’s work or play.”
Frankie rolled onto her side and covered Johanna’s body with soft sensual kisses. She took her time suckling each breast as Johanna’s familiar fingers caressed her back.
“I want you again,” Frankie whispered hoarsely. She retrieved the handcuffs as she gently eased Johanna onto her back.
Johanna reached her arms over her head as Frankie took each wrist and handcuffed it to the bedpost. Her large breasts heaved up and down in anticipation further exciting Frankie.
“Now I’m ready for dessert.” Frankie leaned over and retrieved a can of whipping cream from the floor on the side of the bed, which she’d placed there earlier.
Frankie shook the can as Johanna slightly parted her lips. Frankie squirted some of the cream in Johanna’s mouth, then met her lips and hungrily entwined their tongues, enjoying the sensation and the taste of the whipped cream. She ran her hands through Johanna’s thick auburn hair while the kiss lingered. Johanna moaned softly and Frankie finally broke the kiss.
She took her time coating Johanna’s body with the cream. When she was finished, she smiled down at her then planted soft kisses on her earlobes and the back of her neck. She slowly and methodically lapped the cream up with the tip of her tongue as she covered every inch of Johanna’s slim curvy body and felt the heat from her throbbing flesh.
Johanna squirmed beneath her, her breath catching in her throat as her passion intensified. Frankie listened as her lover whispered words of love. When she reached Johanna’s navel she slowly teased it with the tip of her tongue making small circles as she took her time licking the whipped cream as Johanna’s breathing became shallower.
She gently squirted some cream on Johanna’s inner thighs and then kissed the cream off. Her fingertips caressed Johanna’s pubic hairs and she tenderly massaged the area around Johanna’s clit while Johanna arched her back trying to thrust herself into Frankie’s warm waiting mouth.

The dark clouds had cleared and a bright moon cast a soft glow over Johanna’s beautiful body. They’d showered and then took the protective plastic covering and sheets off the bed and remade it. Now they lay quietly together for the past hour. Frankie’s mind refused to let her have the rest her body craved. Worry about Johanna’s impending meeting with Gretchen Wyler kept her wired. She knew that Johanna was still awake probably for the same reason she was.
Frankie propped herself up on an elbow and gazed down upon the beautiful woman who had chosen her to spend the rest of her life with. She was grateful and humbled at the same time. Her heart felt like it would burst as the deep adoration she felt for this woman swept over her bringing tears of joy to her eyes. A sob caught in her throat.
“Is something wrong, sweetie?” Johanna asked quietly.
Frankie swept the hair from Johanna’s brow. “No, baby, I’m just overwhelmed with the love I feel for you.”
Johanna placed a hand on Frankie’s cheek. “I’ve never felt this way about anyone before, Frankie, and I never could again. When you touch me I want to crawl inside of your skin and never come back out.”
“Right now my tongue’s aching to crawl inside of you.”
“Never can get enough,” Johanna said huskily.
“Never.”
Johanna bent her knees placing her feet flat on the bed and spread her legs wide. “Yes, baby,” she pleaded. “You’re making me so hot.”
“Not yet. I want you so scorching you’ll feel like you’re an inferno.” She spent several minutes licking and caressing Johanna’s inner thighs as Johanna’s fingers weaved through her hair while soft moans erupted from her throat.
“You’re so beautiful,” Frankie murmured.
“Please, baby, I can’t wait any longer,” Johanna finally pleaded. “I need you now.”
Frankie spread Johanna’s lips apart and teased her throbbing clit with a fingertip. “I’m going to fuck you all night long, sweetie. I’ll never get enough of you.”
“Yes,” Johanna gasped as Frankie moved her lips to her clit.
“Don’t stop, baby,” Johanna cried. “Please don’t stop!”
Frankie continued gently sucking on Johanna’s clit as Johanna panted and wriggled her body in an almost convulsive climax. When Johanna’s passion abated, Frankie buried her face in Johanna’s soft mound for a few minutes, then slowly moved back up and laid down next to her, resting her head between Johanna’s heaving breasts.
“I love you,” Johanna said in a husky voice. “Don’t ever forget that.”
“I know, baby. I love you, too.” She ran the back of her hand over Johanna’s cheek.
Johanna turned on her side, and tenderly touched Frankie’s nipples with her fingertips. She shifted her body, bent over, and flicked the tip of her tongue across one breast and then the other.
“You’re making me so hot!” Frankie groaned.
“Mmm…that’s my intention,” she replied with a smile as she rested her face between Frankie’s breasts. “I could stay right here like this forever. I love listening to your heartbeat. It makes me feel safe and protected, like nothing can hurt us.”
“I know.” Frankie’s fingers swept through Johanna’s long hair. “I never want to leave our bed.”
She slid down and pushed Frankie’s legs apart, then hungrily sought Frankie’s aching clit.
Frankie cried out in pleasure much louder than she intended, but she didn’t care. All that mattered was that Johanna was fucking her and she never wanted the pulsating, electrifying vibrations to stop. Her hands tightened on the sheet as she reached her explosive release and cried out in ecstasy.
Johanna stayed with her for a few minutes planting sweet kisses on her inner thighs. “Did you enjoy that, baby?” she murmured as she moved back up and stretched out next to her.
She wrapped her arms around Johanna. “That was heaven,” she sighed. “Do you know that even holding your hand still excites me? I’ve never lost the feeling I had the first time you touched my hand.”
“Know what else excites me about you?”
“What?”
“Fucking you all night long.” Johanna whispered, peering into her eyes.
Chapter 9
Frankie and Johanna finished outlining the trap they were setting for Gretchen Wyler while Gracelyn sipped a steaming cup of coffee listening attentively.
“I still wish there was another way,” Johanna said. She nervously twisted her hands together. “What am I supposed to do if she tries to get a little too friendly?” She glanced at her mother before turning her attention back to Frankie.
“Tell her you don’t want to rush into a
nything…you want to just take it slow,” Gracelyn replied calmly. “That way you can stall her while Francine and I work out the details from this end.”
Frankie grinned at Gracelyn. “That’s exactly what my advice would be.” She picked up her travel bag. “I’m going to get going.”
Johanna wrung her hands helplessly. “What if—”
“Stop,” Frankie said before planting a kiss on Johanna’s forehead. “We’ve spent the entire day discussing this. Remember, I’m only a phone call away. Everything will be fine. We’re going to get through this.”
“And I’ll be here, too,” Gracelyn assured her. “I’ve put my plans to visit my friends on hold until this is settled.”
Johanna frowned. “Maybe it would be better if you weren’t here, Mom. We don’t know how this is going to come down. I don’t want you in the middle of this.”
Frankie shook her head. “No, I think having Gracelyn here is a good idea. Gretchen won’t be able to pressure you into anything since your mother is visiting.”
“That’s true.” Johanna exhaled loudly. “I didn’t think of that.”
Frankie saw the worry etched on Johanna’s face. “Look, if she gets out of hand, then don’t hesitate to call George. I still think we should have let him know what is going on. At least give him a heads up just in case.”
Johanna nodded numbly. “I know, but we don’t have concrete proof that I’m not involved. He’d have no choice but to turn me in along with her to the Feds for fraud.”
“He’d think of a way to stall where you’re concerned.”
“He wouldn’t be able to once the Feds got involved. God knows how long I’d be locked up until everything got sorted out. Our lives would never be the same and we’d probably lose our practice. After all, who’d want to hire a PI who was locked up for fraud? Just being accused is enough to make some people run the other way.”
“Then you need to get Gretchen to spill her guts.”
“I’ve programmed your cell phone number into my speed dial, Francine.”
“Thank you, Gracelyn. Remember, the both of you need to convince Gretchen that you’re glad to be rid of me. Lay it on thick.”
“What if I can’t get her to talk?” Johanna bit her bottom lip.
Frankie gave her a quick hug. “I doubt that’ll happen, but if it does, we’ll come up with another plan. And we’ll contact a lawyer and George. Now quit worrying.”
Johanna grimaced. “I suppose I’d better get ready. I told her I’d meet her at Morrison’s Restaurant at seven o’clock. I’ll call you when I get home.”
“The minute you walk in the door I want all the details.”
Gracelyn excused herself and the minute they were alone Frankie wrapped Johanna in her arms. “Just think about last night,” she whispered in her ear. “We can do this, baby. We’ve got to.”

Frankie relaxed on Trey and Will’s soft black leather sofa. Their home was small, but the design and modern furniture gave it the impression of being larger than it actually was. They lived in a new development, which didn’t afford them the privacy that Johanna and she enjoyed, but they seemed happy and it was a beautiful home with a nice backyard. They’d decorated in a masculine theme and their personal mementos scattered around gave it a nice homey feeling.
“I don’t know if I would be as calm if I were in your place,” Trey said. “From what you and Johanna told us last night about this Gretchen she sounds like a piece of work.”
Will set a tray containing a bottle of wine and three wineglasses on the glass-topped coffee table. “And we intend to help the both of you through this. Whatever we can do, don’t hesitate to ask us.”
“I appreciate it and I honestly don’t know what I’d do without you. Just letting me stay here means a lot to me.”
“We wouldn’t have you staying anywhere else.” Trey raised an eyebrow. “It appears that you and Johanna’s mother are getting along. She’s very nice.”
“She is.” Frankie nodded. “I feel like for the first time I finally know her. It’s a good feeling.”
“That’s great. Trey’s family and mine want nothing to do with us.” Will shrugged his broad shoulders. “If Trey and I weren’t involved they’d probably be the best of friends. It’s uncanny how much they have in common.”
“I know,” Trey said, “But they let their homophobia rule and nothing’s going to change their minds. We told them we aren’t going to change and they can accept us the way we are or not.”
“Maybe someday they’ll come around,” Frankie said.
“You and Johanna are lucky, Frankie.” He poured the wine while Will seated himself next to him on the loveseat. “I still wish Will’s family and mine accepted us, though.”
“It’s their loss,” Will said. “We’re happy and that’s all that matters.”
Trey set the wine bottle down and affectionately squeezed Will’s shoulder. “You’re right.”
Frankie took the glass of wine Will handed her. She glanced at her wristwatch. “I wonder how Johanna’s doing.”
“I’m sure she’ll call if she runs into any trouble,” Trey assured her. “I must say, though, you’re pretty calm. I don’t know if I would be in your place.”
Frankie nodded. “I don’t trust Gretchen. I may appear calm, but believe me, it’s taking all of my willpower not to jump in my car and stakeout the restaurant.” She glanced at her wristwatch again. “She should be at the restaurant by now. She was supposed to meet her there at seven o’clock.” She took her cell phone out of her pocket, checked it, then set it on the coffee table. “It’ll probably be a while before I hear from her, but I’m dying to know the bullshit Gretchen is telling her.” She picked up her glass of wine.
Trey rubbed his hands together. “I can’t wait until you and Johanna get the final revenge on her.”
* * * *
“How do I know I can trust you, Jo? You weren’t exactly very nice to me the other night.” Gretchen looked suspiciously at her. “You practically threw me out of your house. What changed your mind?”
Johanna had to play it cool. How she wanted to tell this bitch how she really felt about her, but she knew she had to gain Gretchen’s trust so she pasted a phony smile on her face. “When you showed up at my home out of the blue it took me by surprise, that’s all,” she said, slowly hoping Gretchen would believe her. “I tried to hide my feelings, but Frankie wouldn’t let it go. So I finally admitted to her that I still cared about you.”
The waitress brought their salads and they ate in silence for a few minutes. Johanna could barely swallow her food. Gretchen’s presence unnerved her, but she had to keep up the farce. Every so often Gretchen glanced curiously at her and she wished she could read the woman’s mind. The silence was becoming almost unbearable and Johanna searched her mind for some meaningless chitchat to break the formidable silence. Before she had the chance, Gretchen put her fork down and stared at her. Johanna’s heartbeat quickened as the steely cold blue eyes bore into her own.
“I’m still finding it hard to believe that you would abruptly have a change of heart,” Gretchen finally said, breaking the uncomfortable silence.
“Still thinking like a cop,” Johanna said with a smile. “Always looking for an ulterior motive, aren’t you?”
“I have to stay one step ahead. It’s hard to know who can be trusted in this day and age.” She dabbed at her mouth with her napkin, but her eyes stayed locked on Johanna’s.
“When we were together I never gave you reason not to trust me,” she softly replied. She watched Gretchen’s eyes shift and then settle on her cleavage before bringing them level with hers once again.
“I need to know that I can trust you. It’s been a long time since we’ve been together. People change.” She sighed. “Have you thought about me even once through the years?”
Johanna, with the same phony smiled pasted on her lips, peered at Gretchen. “Yes, I have…many times. It’s so overwhelming to see
you again in the flesh. Time has been kind to you.”
“Thank you. You’re even more beautiful than I remember.” Gretchen toyed with her salad fork. “This is a nice little place. Do you and Frankie come here often?”
Johanna took a deep breath before answering. Last Valentine’s Day Frankie and she had celebrated with a romantic candlelit dinner in a private room in the restaurant and Frankie had even hired a violinist. Before handing Johanna a dozen roses, she had given her a beautiful diamond heart-shaped necklace. Tears filled her eyes with the beautiful memory and she quickly cleared her throat.
“Not too often as it is a little pricey,” she answered.
“Then I’m flattered that you think I’m worth splurging on.” Gretchen searched Johanna’s face. “How did Frankie take the news when you told her about your suppressed feelings for me?”
Johanna pushed her salad plate aside and placed her folded hands on top of the table. “Not well. It came as a shock to her. I wish there had been some way I could have spared her that pain, but what else could I do? I had no idea what seeing you again would emotionally do to me. I laid awake all night long regretting the way I treated you. I was terrified to call you and terrified not to. I didn’t know how you’d react after the horrible way I treated you.”
