"You've been upgraded."
She sat up straight. "Well, about time! Been looking forward to that AA pay bump."
"Uh..."
The hesitation in Spark's voice made her frown. "What?"
"You're not AA."
"This isn't funny, Sparks. If you're messing with me-"
"You're up to D class, Eight-Oh-Six." He sounded apologetic. "Better than G, right?"
She was about to scream down the phone, but her head was already throbbing and it didn't seem worth the effort. "Pass on love and kisses to the boss-men, Sparks."
"Will do. Take care of yourself."
"Mwah mwah." She hung up and closed her eyes. The sun was a soothing pressure on her bare stomach. It would be so easy to slip back in to that dream, memories of Dominic biting her shoulder, her neck, the heft of his cock in her hand...
There was a cough by Olesia's side. Her eyes snapped open. "What?"
It was the man from the hotel: lithe, bare chested, beach-shorts clinging tight to his thighs. He smiled, showing bright white teeth behind dark lips. "Madamoiselle Anderson?"
She nodded. "Is this about the bill? I gave them my card-"
He shook his head, and handed over a small slip of white paper. "C'est pour vous."
She unfolded the paper, frowning. Nine words were written in small, neat script. She recognised the handwriting.
Step light and watch the skies. Take care, Olly.
She jumped out of her chair and grabbed the man's arm. "Who gave you this? Where is he?"
The man seemed confused. He spun, pointing, but the beach behind him was empty. "Que l'homme..."
"It's okay." She settled back into the chair, heart pounding. The paper was crushed in her hand. "It's nothing. Don't worry."
Her pistol was at her fingertips. Martins swept across the surface of the ocean, white bellies flashing in the sun.
It was going to be a beautiful day.
THE END
Thank you for reading Dirty Deals!
This free edition is identical to the editions currently for sale on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and the like, except for these next few paragraphs, which is where I make my little sales pitch. Naturally, I hope you enjoyed this novella enough that you'll continue to read and enjoy the series, either by buying Black Market or the three-novella omnibus Agent 806.
However, even if you don't feel like continuing with the Olesia Anderson series, you can still do this struggling author a huge favour! The first way is by leaving a review on Amazon, Barnes & Noble or Goodreads.
The second thing you can do is simply to share this book! Email it to your friends, talk about it on Twitter and Facebook, or share a link to my website, whichever you prefer. It all helps to spread the word about my stories.
Thank you again for your time, and I hope you enjoyed your stay with Olesia in Bethesda!
In Olesia's next adventure, Black Market, she travels to Trenton on a mission to infilitrate a major R&D facility and steal information on genetically modified products. But nothing ever goes quite as planned, and Olesia soon finds herself in far over her head.
It turns out that there's far more than GM wheatgerm on the menu - senatorial blackmail, organ farms, a midnight ménage à trois and a rogue security chief with a big gun are all standing between Olesia and a successful mission. Can she keep her head screwed on straight? Or will this be the end of Olesia's career with Blackrock... and her life?
Black Market is available now on Kindle, Nook and Kobo!
