With the first bite of steak, the tears were nearly forgotten. Doubts and fears swept away with the conversation. Kaylyn attempted to bring up the hotel—the entire reason she’d suggested getting everyone together in the first place—but Jonah nudged her arm.
“One night,” he whispered. “We’re going to get there, but tonight you remember how to smile.”
She picked up another fry, soaked up some of the juice from the steak, and popped it into her mouth. One way or another, Jonah was going to be the end of her. And until they had to deal with the entity again, she figured she just might enjoy it.
First off, I’d like to thank you, the reader, because without you I could sit and write all day long, but I would have no one to share my experiences with!
I couldn’t make it through everything without the support of my husband. He has never questioned my love of writing and even when I drive him to the brink of insanity, he does everything he can to keep me motivated and working. I have been fortunate to have no shortage of friends and family who have encouraged me to become a writer. My late night writing/chat sessions with Pepper Winters are one of my favorite parts of the day. She keeps me working at a pace I never thought was possible, but even more than that, I’m honored to call her my friend.
This story wouldn’t be what it is without the feedback from my betas. You all are amazing and I appreciate your help and support. Next, my editor Rebecca. I came to her when I was looking for someone who wouldn’t mind my unpredictable multiple-genre tendencies, and she agreed to take me on. It has been a huge stress relief to work with her and to know that my future books will be in great hands.
And finally, my Street Team!! Not only do they all rock it by supporting my work, I’m glad to call them my friends. I wish I could name the names of all the people who have helped me along the way, but that would be an entire book in itself.
That doesn’t mean I love any of you any less! Thank you for your support!
Skye Callahan was born and raised in rural Ohio and has had an insatiable love of reading and writing since she was young. Thanks to the encouragement of teachers, family, and friends, she has found her passion in immersing herself in the imaginary worlds of the characters who live in her head.
Most of her early stories were paranormal, and although the paranormal world still has a special place in her imagination, her interest in BDSM and dark romance has led her to expand her writing endeavors.
Before she began writing full-time, she earned a M.A. in Public History and worked for a non-profit business consulting center. When she’s not indulging the voices in her head, she’s enjoying life with her husband and two ferrets.
I’d love to hear from you!
