“But she kept calling you bae. She obviously still likes you,” Reamer said, as his voice trembled.

“No she doesn’t, man. She always says that shit when she thinks she’s gonna get her way with me. Trust me, she’s not getting her way with me because there’s no way I want that bitch back. Hell couldn’t freeze over enough before I would want her back. And I wanna say that I’m sorry for the way she insulted your size, man. I’m glad you told me what she really said about it before I called her because I knew she was gonna lie about it, and by the way, I believe your side of the story a hundred percent, man. She said that Allen was bigger than me, and probably said that Taylor was bigger than Allen. She’s the ultimate fuck girl that’s gonna end up getting a lot of people in trouble with each other because she’s the type that loves starting shit and watch people fight about shit that she started — but you already know that.”

Reamer sighed. “Yeah, I do, man. I know you two weren’t broken up for that long, but I guess I made that kiss that she gave me out to be more than what I ever should’ve let it. I can’t believe that I let her get to me this much and it hasn’t even been a week yet. I can’t believe that I thought I could change her.”

“Just remember, man, you can never change a fuck girl; it’s in their DNA, believe that,” Sloan informed him.

“You’re right, man, you’re right. Sorry that I called you and bothered you about her, but I needed to hear how she is for myself from someone who used to be her boyfriend. But I especially needed to hear how she really felt about me. I can’t lie, man, it was hard to hear, but I needed to hear it.”

“No problem, man. I was wondering when some dude was gonna ask me about her, and anyone who does ask, I have no problem telling them.”

Minutes later, Reamer got back on his smartphone and called Joe.

“Hey, man. How did your talk with Sloan go?”

“With him, it went fine. What didn’t go well was when he called Felicity while he had me on the phone,” Reamer said.

“Fuck no, man?!” Joe said, shocked that Sloan did this. “So Felicity didn’t know that you were on the phone?!”

“No, she didn’t know. I guess I was just in a lot of denial about her not feeling the same way about me as I felt about her, and after hearing what she said about me to Sloan, I definitely put the cart before the horse when it came to her.”

Joe sighed. “Damn, I hate to hear this, so you can tell me what she said if you want to.”

“Well, that’s what I called you for. She was saying how much she wanted Sloan back because what they have is special, and that she’d wish that I would just leave her the fuck alone, and that I begged her for her phone number; you were there so you know that I didn’t even come close to begging her. I only asked her once and she seemed happy that I’d asked and then didn’t hesitate to give it to me.”

Joe sighed again as he shook his head. “I know, man. I’m a witness to everything about that night between you and her.”

“And she even went as far as lying to him about what she said about my dick size compared to him — saying that I had a small one and needed to take male enhancement pills for it.”

“Hell naw, man! I would bust that bitch up for sayin’ that shit about you! That’s some personal shit she lied about to him!” Joe angrily said, as if Felicity had said this about him. “What if Sloan tells all of his friends?”

“I don’t think he is, man. Even though we’re not friends with Sloan, he seems like a great guy. It seemed as though he was almost embarrassed for me at the shit she was saying about me to him because he knew that I was listening. It took everything out of me not to speak up after she said all of that shit about me, especially when I’ve been nothing but nice to her. I’m not perfect in the least bit, but no one is, so that’s why I thought that I had a chance at changing her, but what she said about me proves to me that she’s not gonna change for anyone. I thought that I could be the guy that she saw differently. Maybe there’s a reason why we’ve never spoken to each other all throughout high school until Friday night.”

“And what do you think that reason is?” Joe asked.

“I just don’t know, man. I’m just shocked that she talked about me like this when I didn’t do anything bad to her.”

“Well, Reamer, you did post that pic of her kissing you, even though you tried to make it seem to her that you didn’t.”

“Yeah, I know. But I only did it because I wanted people to see that it was actually her kissing me because if I just told them, I knew they wouldn’t have believed me, and why would they? Most know that I’ve never talked to her previously.”

“You’re right, man. Sometimes you do have to show people proof.”

“I also did it because I knew that I was probably gonna be at least seeing her. I know it was too soon to be boyfriend/girlfriend, but just saying that I was seeing her would’ve been good enough for me, and it would’ve been great for people to see that she actually gave a guy like me a chance.”

Joe sighed. “Well, as you heard with your own ears, Felicity is not even worth seeing or even worthy of wanting a chance with. All she does is cause trouble for people and she doesn’t care who she hurts in the process. Yeah, last week Friday, when it was obvious that she liked you way more than she liked me and sealed it with a kiss on you, literally, I was hatin’, man, I can’t lie. But it’s clear that someone like her is not worth a guy hatin’ on another guy for. If more guys were to hear what you heard about what she personally thought of him with their own ears instead of seeing it on comment sections on social media, then they would change the way they feel about her and never wanna be associated in any way, shape, or form with her ever again.”

Reamer looked at his watch. “It’s late, man, and I haven’t even studied for this science test that I have tomorrow so I need to get goin’. See you tomorrow, man,” he said.

“Okay, man. Are you sure you’re gonna be okay?”

“Of course, man,” Reamer replied. And she told me that she never disappoints. Interesting, he thought.

  Chapter 13

The next day, Felicity and Erin sat in Felicity’s bedroom hours later after school as they talked about the day.

“Oh, I forgot to ask you, Felicity, did you talk to Reamer today?”

“No, I didn’t. I mean, I did see him today like every day, and he just smiled at me but didn’t come up to me or anything, and I really found that unusual, but I was like, whatever, because I really don’t want him like that.”

“Do you think he could’ve found out about how you and Sloan are thinking about getting back together?”

Felicity shrugged. “Maybe, maybe not. But you know I really don’t want Sloan back, Erin. But if he can show me that he can be more of a man the second time around then I don’t mind being with him again, but I just don’t know if I actually want another boyfriend because in reality, I really don’t. I’m just surprised that he called me last night, but I believe it was just for another argument because he did ask me about Reamer.”

“And what did you tell him?”

“Nothing that he hasn’t already seen or heard. Yes, he saw the picture of me kissing Reamer, but I was about to tell him to stop hating because that was after he broke up with me, so he had nothing to say about it.”

“Yeah, he didn’t. But Audrey had a lot to say about it because even though Reamer broke up with Audrey after that picture was taken, he was still with her when it was taken. Don’t you feel any remorse for it?”

“None at all. He wasn’t pulling away from me when I started kissing him, in fact, I had to pull away from him because he was so into it and he was with Audrey at the time; I’m not with anyone so I didn’t feel bad about it at all. But that’s over with now. I think Reamer knows that I’m just not into him the way he’s into me. Sometimes people can catch on right away, but others, it takes a while.” She changed the subject. “So, did you wanna hit up Moves just one last time before we go on a hiatus from it?

  “Not really,” Erin said.

“Oh, come on, Erin! You have to admit it’s something to do on Friday and Saturday nights.”

“I’m just not having anymore fun there, Felicity. Can’t we go someplace else, at least? Maybe to a movie or even another club?”

“There’s nothing that’s in the movie theaters that I wanna see right now. And another club? You mean a club for those twenty-one-and-over old people? No thanks. I don’t have a fake ID and I’m not getting one. I like to be around people my age. Like I said, I live in the moment now, and don’t feel like I need to rush my age just to get into older clubs.”

“That’s true. That’s exactly how I feel, too.”

“So, what day do you wanna go on for our last day before our hiatus?”

  “Friday’s fine,” Erin said.

“Friday it is!” Felicity said. “I don’t know why, but I’m excited. Sometimes when we go there I’m just not excited because I feel like I’m going to work or something since we’ve been going there almost every Friday and Saturday for over a year now. Well, I already ordered a new outfit from my usual favorite clubwear store, so I’m ready.”

“As usual, I’m not,” Erin said. “I’ll probably just wear what I’m gonna wear to school that day.”

“Please don’t embarrass me,” Felicity said with a laugh.

“What?! What did you say?” Erin said, and then balled up her right fist as if she was gonna punch her. And considering the fact of what kind of a girl she thought her best friend was and her futile efforts to change her, she thought about really punching her out too many times to count.

Felicity laughed as she playfully put her hands over her face as if she was blocking Erin from hitting her.

Erin backed up towards Felicity’s window with her fists playfully in the air as if she was still gonna hit her. She turned around and looked outside the window. “Uh, oh, Felicity!”

“What?” Felicity asked, as she came to the window — she gasped! “Just what the fuck! What the hell!”

They were reacting to Reamer’s car being in the driveway!

“Just what the hell is he doing here?!” Felicity said, as she tried not to panic.

“Did you tell him where you lived?” Erin asked.

“No, I didn’t! I don’t know how the hell he found out!”

The doorbell rang; they both shrieked as they looked at each other.

“What are you gonna do?” Erin asked.

“Well, I’m not gonna answer it! He’s a fuckin’ stalker! It’s obvious now!” Felicity replied in a shaken voice.

The doorbell rang again . . . then again.

They stood out in the hall; they were still upstairs.

“I’m scared, Felicity,” Erin said. “You don’t know what the hell he’s here for!”

Felicity looked at her, and could see it in her eyes that she really was. “Just stay quiet, okay? He doesn’t even know that I’m here.”

“Well, why would he think that you’re not here, Felicity, just because your car is parked in the garage? Because he can clearly see that my car is parked in the driveway! So why would I be here if you’re not here?”

Felicity sighed. “I know, Erin, okay?”

The doorbell rang two more times.

They walked back to Felicity’s room and crawled over to her bedroom window. Once they got to it, they stayed down as they slowly peeked up out of it to see where Reamer was at. They saw him walking back to his car, and then saw Taylor pull up in his! He slowed down as he rolled down his window as Reamer walked over to his driver’s side window!

“Oh, shit, Felicity! What do you think they’re talking about?!”

“It better not be about me,” Felicity warned.

“Well, why wouldn’t it be about you? He happens to be in your driveway ready to leave! It looks as if he’d just seen you!”

“Well, he didn’t, and I dare him to say that he did!” Felicity warned.

They stayed low as Reamer and Taylor continued to talk. Reamer finally went back to his car, got in it and left, as Taylor pulled up in the driveway of his house. He then got out of his car, and walked into his house.

Felicity and Erin finally got up and looked out the window once again. Felicity shut the curtains and sat down at her desk; Erin sat on her bed.

Felicity sighed. “Now I think I know how Reamer found out where I live.”

  Erin looked at her. “How?”

Felicity picked up her phone and pointed to one of her selfies on it that she took while she and Erin were in a coffee shop just an hour before after school today. “This is how. After this pic, I forgot to turn off the location map. So the picture that I took of us here led him directly here since he obviously follows me and my current location was still on.”

“That’s why I never turn mine on, Felicity. You just don’t know who’s out there following you and can end up following you directly to your home if you don’t turn that location shit off. I think that’s a very dangerous feature to have.”

“Only if people abuse it,” Felicity said. “I never have it on when I’m here taking selfies or other pictures — just when I’m not here. But in this case, I did forget to turn it off when we got back here so that’s how he was able to track me here.”

“Are you sure you don’t know what the hell he was doing here? I mean, if some guy is going this far in finding out where you live when you didn’t tell him then that’s scary, Felicity. I see this guy differently now. It’s like he’s determined to make you his girlfriend since he quit Audrey just for you. Some people are determined to get who they want at whatever cost.”

“Well, he’s not getting me and I mean that! Like I told Sloan last night when we were talking about Reamer, I never wanted anything serious with him and that the kiss I gave him was as far as it was gonna go between us. I didn’t mean to fuck with the guy’s feelings, but he should’ve seen it for what it was and never should’ve quit Audrey for me. Just because I’m not with Sloan anymore didn’t mean that I wanted to be with him and that’s because I don’t wanna be with anyone.”

“Well, Felicity, I agree a hundred percent with you that he shouldn’t have quit Audrey for you; I thought he went too far in doing that. I think he was one that fell hard for you and maybe has always liked you; you just didn’t know it. So when you gave him some attention and especially that kiss, well, the guy lost his mind and quit his girlfriend thinking that you were gonna be his next one. Some guys know that you’re fucking with their minds, Felicity, then there’s others that don’t, and I think Reamer’s one that doesn’t know, and you didn’t make it any better by going over his house and jerking him off — now he’s really thinking he has something going on with you.”

“We have nothing going on. If I have to lie to him and tell him that Sloan and I are definitely getting back together then I’m gonna do that. You know, Erin? I wish people wouldn’t take things so seriously? I mean, who wants to be tied down to someone that they’ve known since high school for the rest of their lives? After we leave that place, there are billions of other people out there to meet and this whole big world to explore. I just like to have fun with people and be free.”

“Well, so do I. But there’s a difference between having fun with people and fucking with them, and Felicity, you’re one who fucks with people — you have to admit that. You need to change, seriously. Like I’ve told you a lot, not everything’s fun and games, especially someone’s feelings.”

“Well, whatever,” Felicity said with an eye roll. “Look, you just better think about what you’re gonna wear to Moves on Friday because we’re really gonna party hard!”

“Oh, no! I think I’m gonna lose sleep tonight because I can’t figure out what I’m gonna wear to a club that I’ve been to a million times!” Erin sarcastically replied.

“Shut up!” Felicity said with a laugh, as she hit her. “Well, I know how I’m gonna be dressed there, so you can dress however you want because reg
ardless, it’s gonna be a night that we’re not gonna forget!”

Erin looked at her when she’d said this, and wasn’t sure how she should’ve taken it.

  Chapter 14

“WOW! It’s really packed in here! Holy shit!” Felicity said, as she bobbed her head to the music while she sat at her favorite table with Erin at Moves.

“Well, it looks like today was the right day to come on,” Erin said, as she looked around. “Felicity!”

  “What?!” Felicity said.

“Oh, my God! Look who just walked in!” Erin replied.

Felicity looked in the direction that Erin was looking in. “Oh, no way! Of all nights?! What the hell are they doing here?!” she asked, as she watched as Jackie was all over Allen, while her friends Willow, Trina, and Cherie talked to boys that were Allen’s friends. “This is, like, the second time I’ve seen them here! So it’s been over a year since they’ve been here!”

“Um . . . and they’re not the only ones from our school that’s here,” Erin said.

“Oh, God! Who else?” Felicity asked. She once again looked in Erin’s direction and saw Sloan walk in with two of his friends. She jumped up and pushed her way through people over to him. “BAE!” she said as loud as she could, and then wrapped herself all over him.

“Felicity, hey,” Sloan said, as he tried to get her off of him.

“What are you doing here tonight?” she asked.

“Well, there wasn’t anything to do. We don’t have another game until a few days from now so we thought it would be nice to come here since there wasn’t anything else that was goin’ on tonight,” he replied.

“Well, you came to the right place, bae,” she said with a big smile. She looked at Sloan’s friends that were with him and smiled at them; they grinned back. She looked at Sloan. “Have you seen who else is here?”

  “No, who?” he asked.

“Jackie, Allen, Trina, Cherie . . . and Willow,” she replied with an eye roll.
