“Can’t yo bitch take a hint? If she doesn’t get an answer after being hung up on…um…that obviously mean you don’t wanna talk to her dumbass. Why you with her anyway? She know yo ass fuckin’ somebody.” I snatched his phone and rejected the call.

“I’mma slap the fuck out yo ass, Angel. Why the fuck you hang up on her? I ain’t never gon’ hear the end of her fuckin’ mouth.”

Rolling my eyes, I got up, not about to blow my high on him or his bitch. “She was turning me off with her irritating ass voice. Daffy duck sounding ass trick. You wanna stay yo ass in here and talk to her then that’s on you. I ain’t about to waste my high on either of you, for real,” I snapped at him while putting on what little clothes I had.

“Sit the fuck down, I ain’t say I was calling her ass back. Kill that damn attitude before I beat yo stupid ass,” he stretched back out on the couch.

Ignoring him, I stepped into my heels.

“I said sit the fuck down,” he grabbed my arm and jerked me back on the couch.

“Don’t be fuckin’ grabbing on me! I ain’t that bitch, I’ll beat yo mothafuckin’ ass.” To back my words, up I punched him in the chest.

“Yo stupid ass gon’ blow yo own high. Stupid bitch. Yo jealous ass just mad because she calling,” Leon laughed which I didn’t find funny.

“Yo momma a bitch and I ain’t jealous of yo fuckin’ hoe.” I was slightly irritated about her calling him, but I wasn’t jealous. If a nigga don’t answer his fuckin’ phone then bitch stop calling. Jennifer’s stupid ass didn’t get that, though.

“How you gon’ call her a hoe when you fuckin’ her nigga?” Leon lit up the blunt, but I snatched it from him.

“Then tell her nigga to stay the fuck away from me, him and his money, and I won’t fuck him,” I stated as a matter of fact.

Again he laughed and flopped down on the couch beside me. Leaning into me, he kissed along my shoulder. “Why you gotta act like this? You ain’t gotta be jealous. Angel, you know you my baby.”

Rolling my eyes at that, I laughed nonetheless.

A loud knock came on the door and we glanced at it.

I looked back to him. “Daddy, I’m not jealous believe me. Pour me a drink, please,” I told him as I got up to get the door.

Vince stood there with his arms crossed over his chest.

I stepped out of the room. “Hey,” I waved, stretching out the E.

“You straight?” He looked me over. Before I could answer, he started talking again. “What I tell you about using my rooms for your personal playground?”

Already knowing where this conversation was going, I started counting the money I owed him for the night on top of the two hour room cost I spent hogging with Leon’s dirty ass. Before Vince could say anything else I started talking.

“It’s not like that this time, Vince, I promise,” I held out the money, but he folded it back into my hand.

“He already paid for the room. Big Jon said he heard y’all yelling earlier and you hadn’t been back to the front. So I was checking to make sho everything was everything.” Vince was a cool old timer. He was about the first strip club owner that hadn’t fucked his girls and really looked out for them.

“Oh… Well, we’re cool. I told Jon not to worry, he’s a friend from back home. So everything is everything.” I never knew why he always used that saying, but I always found it funny. “We’re about to get up outda here in a bit.”

His eyes squinted as he stared at me. “Syn, are you high?”

I wasn’t as high as I would have liked to be from fuckin’ with Leon’s ass. “I’m mellow, you can say,” I smiled at him as I eased my way back into the room. “Bye, Vince,” I closed the door.

Leon put his phone down when I came into his view. “You get in trouble?”

Shaking my head, I went to sit on his lap. “N’all, Vince cool as long as he’s getting his money that is. We never had a problem,” I told him, taking the blunt from his hand.

“You gon’ give me a dance before I go?” Leon asked, pumping his chest and making me laugh.

“No, I just fuck’d you twice. My fuckin’ high can’t even stay up because of that shit. Obviously I been popping pills too damn long if one don’t do shit no more,” I complained.

The weed had me high, but adding the pills to that, plus the alcohol would’ve had me lit. I guess it just wasn’t my night, but damn those two pills was wasted.

“You need to stop popping them, real shit,” his lips pressed into my neck as he held onto me.

Ignoring his statement, I passed him the blunt. “I got a small apartment out here. If you’re not rushing to get home, you can stay with me.” For as long as I had worked in that city I had never brought anybody back to my apartment. But with Leon, we could have some fun outside of that place.

  More sex…

Maybe I was higher than I thought because suddenly I was horny as hell. I grabbed the cup of Ciroc from the table and took two big gulps before I swapped with Leon.

“You really tryna get a nigga in trouble, huh?”

Muffing him, I smacked my lips. “Nigga, don’t you even. You get yo own self in trouble. You don’t have to fuck with me. Baby, I done told you that plenty of times before. Yo stupid ass just don’t listen. The crazy thing is, you know you’re not going to stop messing with me and yo simple ass go get a girlfriend just to cheat on.” My head shook and I blew the smoke in his face. “Nigga, I done been with your type too many times. Unlike yo bitch, tho’, I’m not gonna stay and continue to get cheated on.”

“So. Yo ass know how she feels when I cheat, but you still fuckin’ with me.” He had a point.

  So did I.

Shrugging, I dumped the ashes. “Like I said, your girl not gonna come between me and my money. Plus, I like yo dick. So it works out. I mean, if you stop our thing that'll be fine with me. Though, you obviously don’t care too much about ol’ girl, otherwise you wouldn’t keep coming back.” Leon muffed the shit out of me. I dropped the blunt and fell off his lap onto the floor. “Why the fuck yo stupid ass do that?” I got up off of the floor and punched him.

“I come back because I like yo dumbass. You don’t see that shit, tho’. The only thing you fuckin’ see is green, pills, and money. Whatever dick can get you high, right?” Leon stepped in my face. He mugged me hard.

My lips formed into a pout, not fazed by what he had said. I’d already heard that shit plus worse over the years, not just from Leon. I knew how I was.

“Right, just so happens that tonight was yo dick. And what? I’m not begging yo ass to come to me. Baby, you come willingly, already knowing the fuckin’ deal. So don’t come at me in yo feelings when the truth is spoken.” I stopped talking and stared at his scrunched up face. A laugh slipped through my lips.

“I’ll do you one better, sweetie,” I continued. “Just to show you it ain’t no hard feelings or shit like that, you can have yo money back, Leon. Just don’t come at me mad, tryna throw salt when you know how I am. Shid, I don’t need nann one of you mothafuckas. I can go anywhere to cop and get high, believe that. So don’t make it seem like I only want the substance you carry. I do like yo dick, I'll admit that, but regardless of that fact, I can find dick anywhere. So gon’ head back to Gary to that Daffy Duck sounding bitch.” Realizing where I was going about not needing his dick kinda blew the whole point of me snapping at him.

Covering my mouth, I just started to laugh. Leon was my only source of getting fucked good again and my dumbass was talking shit to him, telling him to go back home to his girl. “Are you coming home with me or back to Daffy?” I asked him.

“N’all, I’mma head back, go get that other nigga. You can keep the money, baby, I don’t need it. Shid, Jennifer can fuck and suck just like you. Regardless, I’mma get a nut. You can keep the bottle too,” Leon pulled on his shirt. He was really mad.

I was high and horny. “Leon, why you mad? We always go through this. So you just gon’ leave me here to drive myself home?
What if I hit something? What if I die?” I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around his neck. My tongue flicked over his bottom lip before I bit into it. I jumped on him, locking my legs at the ankles around his waist. Leon didn’t say anything. He just stood there mugging.

“You can stand here and pout all you want, threaten to leave, but you know me, Leon. You also know that bitch can’t fuck you like I do. If she could you would’ve dropped me a long time ago. So let’s just kiss and make up.” I tilted his head back and pulled his bottom lip into my mouth.

  He still didn’t move.

Sighing, I pulled back. “You just gon’ stand here and not say anything?”

“You really gon’ do this to try to get some dick?” He asked.

I nodded my head. “Yeah, I like your dick. So stop being stingy, I’ll even pay you,” I waved my wallet in his face for dramatic effect.

He laughed. “I want a dance and you gotda do that split thing,” he bargained.

I didn’t have a problem with that. “I can make that happen,” my words were cut off as my back hit the door, causing a loud gasp to slip through my parted lips. Once his mouth covered mine, our clothes once again started coming off.

  Chapter 9

  Angel

“You need a bigger car, this little ass bug. A nigga can’t even fit in this bitch and you want me to drive,” Leon complained as we left Indy and was finally on our way back to Gary.

“Leon, shut the fuck up, damn. You complain like a bitch. I can’t even sleep without you saying something every few seconds about my damn car. I don’t have a problem with my baby, she gets me from point A to point B. So if you’re not talking about getting me another one, shut the fuck up,” I snapped at him before pulling the blanket over my head.

I was tired because Leon and I didn’t leave the club until after three that morning and didn’t make it back to my place in Indy until after four. When we got there, we didn’t sleep like we’d planned to do before we hit the highway, instead we just fucked all morning long. My damn body ached and my coochie was sore as hell. I was simply tired.

When I was finally about to get some sleep, Leon’s big ass woke me up to cook him something to eat, which I did of course. And instead of getting some sleep after breakfast, we got in the car and was on our way from Indy to Gary where I was being forced to listen to him gripe about my car the whole ride home.

“Who the fuck you think you talking to?” He suddenly slapped my thigh hard as hell.

“Ow, you stupid trick!” I punched him in the arm.

“Stop, yo stupid ass gon’ make me run off the road. I’m barely able to drive this piece of shit as it is,” he dissed my car.

I looked over at him and laughed. He did look pretty snug sitting in the driver’s seat.

I was even willing to bet that from the outside, seeing that big ass nigga squashed in my small, hot pink Volkswagen was a sight. Just thinking that had me laughing out loud.

“We’ll, you could’ve said you ain’t wanna drive. You look so tight over there,” I laughed.

“Shut the fuck up,” he snapped, but ended up laughing anyways. “Fuck you, man. If I had said no, yo ass would’ve whined and bitched the whole way back. Plus them eggs, bacon, sausages, waffles, and potatoes was good as fuck.”

Rolling my eyes at him, I turned to look out of my window. A yawn left my mouth and I closed my eyes just as my phone started ringing.

“A bitch ain’t never gonna get no fuckin’ sleep, damn,” I complained while grabbing my phone from the cup holder. I slid the green bar across the screen. “What’s up, Peach?” I answered.

“Ugh, bitch, what’s wrong with you?” She asked.

Yawning, I pulled the little throw blanket over my head. “Shit, tired. What’s up tho’, babe?”

“You still coming to the Rex, right? King’s birthday today so I was throwing him something. We tried calling yo ass last night, but you ain’t answer.” Peaches pretended to have an attitude. “So, are you coming?”

I hummed and sat up. “Peach, now you know I need a man, so yeah, I’m there,” I said with a laugh.

She snorted into the line. “Yeah right, Ang. Bitch, you always yelling about needing a damn man, but you don’t give no nigga the time of day. If you serious, I got a dude for you.”

Curtis immediately popped into my mind. Curtis was a guy who lived close to Peaches when we were younger. I had started messing around with him before I met Martell. He was another dog ass nigga I had fallen for only to find out he was married with kids. Peaches didn’t hook me up with Curtis, but she introduced us. I didn’t blame Peach for it, shid, he had all our asses fooled. That was just another lesson I had learned. Nigga’s ain’t shit. With that thought, I glanced at Leon’s triflin’ ass.

Laughing, I was already shaking my head no. “Nuh uh, bitch, I don’t need yo fuckin’ hookups. Last time the nigga was married, bitch. I’ll have a better chance with finding my own failure of a nigga,” I told her, still laughing.

“Okay, okay, bitch. I’ll leave yo hookups to you. Then again, with the way you turning every nigga down, maybe Missy is the one you should get with. She got some nice bitches I’m sure she wouldn’t mind sharing with you,” Peach teased, laughing.

“Now you tryna dike me, bitch. Missy nasty ass already tried that shit, girl had me about to beat some butch ass over a bitch I ain’t even know or want. I’mma need all you bitches to leave my sex and dating life alone, you hoes only make shit worse,” I told her while shaking my head.

“Fuck you, we just tryna help. Yo ass is probably getting dick down and you just ain’t telling us. It’s cool, though,” she continued to laugh, not knowing just how right she was.

“I mean, you know I’mma get the pipe one way or another. I’m just not into the whole relationship shit, you know,” I shrugged. Leon reached over the seat and muffed my head to the side. I glared at him. “You better stop playing.”

“I’m not playing. I’m dead serious. Who you getting dick from?” Peaches pressed nosily.

I burst out laughing. “Bitch, you nosey as hell. None of yo damn business, that’s who.”

“Nuh uh, Ang, we don’t keep secrets. Tell me. I probably don’t know him anyways,” she assumed.

“You right. It’s nobody you know and that’s all I’m saying. I’m sorry, Peach, but y’all jinx shit.” Seeing that we had pulled up on Leon’s street, I laughed and changed the subject. “Hey, Peach, you need help with getting anything for tonight?”

“Um…no, nothing I can think of right now. Angel, don’t do that—”

“Peaches, shut up!” I cut her off before she could continue her interrogation. “Babe, let me call you back later on. Matter fact, I’ll see you at the party.”

“Forget you then, Ang… girl hold on. Blake, get over here,” she yelled. “Girl, I got this little boy in this store and he wants everything.”

All I could do was shake my head and laugh. I knew he was giving my girl a run for her money. His little ass was just too much and bad as hell. He was also such a sweetheart.

Peaches was beyond a good person as well as being a strong woman. Truth be told, with the shit she’d been through with Blaze, I didn’t even see how she continued to deal. I would’ve cut his ass off a long time ago, but I guessed that was the power of love.

All love ever made me do was hate its ass while I ran the other way, far away from that emotion. Peaches on the other hand, managed to fall in love twice within a short time span and still managed to give love. I envied her for that at times, I even wanted to swap bodies with her just to see how it felt from her prospective. Then again, seeing the stress it caused her, I didn’t want to be bothered. A part of me loved that the hardships of love didn’t stop her, though.

“I’ight, Peach. Go handle little man and I’ll see you later. Call me if you think of something I could bring.”

“Alright, boo. Oh, it starts at five so don’t be late. Love you, hoe,” she said, making me laugh.
r />   “Love you too, babe.” Ending the call, I shook my head at that girl. Peaches was my bitch and I loved her ass to death. “Are you going to King’s party at Rex?” I asked Leon.

He gave me a duh look. “Why you gon’ ask that dumb ass question?”

His ass always had to get smart about some shit. “It was just a fuckin’ question.” My eyes rolled at him. “You can get out now,” I nodded toward the brick and white two story house before I got out of the car. I made my way to the driver’s side and opened the door. “You need help getting out?” He was stuffed in my hot pink car. “Leon, sometime its okay to just say no. This should’ve been a hell no.” I burst into a fit of laughter.

I couldn’t see how he even managed to drive the whole two hours back, he was just big for no damn reason. Why did someone need so much muscle? Then again, who was I to complain? I liked his muscles.

Leon finally managed to wedge himself out of the car and the whole time I stood in the street laughing.

“Shid, it was easier getting in that bitch. Ah shit,” he groaned while stretching. “You wanna come in the house?”

Last night was fun, which wasn’t a surprise. We always had an amazing time together, but once the next morning came, everything went back to normal. Other than sex, I still didn’t want Leon to get the wrong idea of there being hope of us getting together.

“N’all, I’mma go to the crib and pass out before the party. But I’ll see you there,” I told him, waiting on him to move, but he didn’t. Instead, his hands came to my waist and he pulled me to him. “Leon—” My protest was cut off by his question.

“Why you won’t give a nigga a try? What I gotda do in order for you to give me a chance?” He stared down at me with a serious expression. My brow rose as I tried to look through his demeanor for a sign that he was joking. I saw none. Letting out a small laugh, I shook my head.

“What’s funny? Why the fuck everything gotta be a joke to yo ass, man?” Leon snapped at me.

“Leon, you is a dog ass nigga, that’s why. You gotta bitch you been with for what, two, three years now? Baby, yo ass can’t even stay committed to that fuckin’ relationship. So why the hell would I trade places with that bitch to get the same mothafuckin’ treatment?” Sometimes I just didn’t understand him.
