“I’ight, I’mma let it go. If you say you know what you’re doing then, aye, I’mma drop it.” He hopped off of the table and made his way over to me. Chris’ hand came out for me to grab. “We good?”
I slapped his hand and pulled him into a one armed hug. “Fo’sho. Just don’t go callin’ my girl no bitch. I almost knocked yo ass out.” I let him go. “For real, Chris. Just chill out with that shit, tho, baby girl cool. Until she give us a reason to think otherwise, she’s with me and that means she’s with us. We gon’ look after her no matter what,” I explained. If Syn was with me, she was family to me and she was going to be treated as such. She wasn’t gon’ be disrespected by no one and that included Chris.
“I’ight, she with us.” Chris rubbed his chin and then smiled. “She with us?”
“Get fuck’d up. Stupid mothafucka. Ignorant ass nigga, man.” I pushed him back. “Go twist up a blunt.” I covered up the food as I turned the stove burners down. Then I went into the living room where the others were.
Blaze glanced up at me as he ran the last stack of bills through the machine. He had counted the money twice to make sure it was right. He pointed to Mane who was still knocked out. “Gag that mothafucka. His ass done fuck’d my concentration up. All that gotdamn snoring he doing.”
“Leave that nigga alone. My man tired, yo.” I hit Mane’s leg, waking him up. His eyes were bloodshot red as he looked up at me. “You good?” I asked him.
He yawned and stretched. “Hell n’all, I’m tired as fuck.” Mane sat up, rubbing his face. “We need to head back home.” He looked at Chris and then at me.
“I ain’t leaving until I eat, a nigga hungry as fuck.” Chris rubbed his stomach before he lit the blunt.
“We’ll yo ass better go find a gotdamn restaurant and get something to eat.” I know damn well this nigga ain’t think I was cooking for his ass. Hell, for none of their asses.
“You ain’t make us no food?” Blaze asked me.
“Hell n’all. What the fuck I look like, y’all chef?” Those mothafuckas were crazy as hell. I wasn’t trying to get in good with none of them.
“Yeah, the fuck? Shid, I thought fo’sho Black ass was gon’ be up cooking for yo ass. I hopped out the bed with my lady to do this bullshit. My nigga, I could’ve got fuck’d and a full course meal. But n’all, I came to do business. Somebody better get me a plate,” Blaze said, serious as hell. “And I don’t walk away from my girl’s pussy.”
“That’s what the fuck I’m talkin’ ‘bout. Shid, we hit that mothafuckin’ highway early as hell to get here. And you know how Xantina ass get when I dip out in the middle of the night.” Chris shook his head.
Xantina was some Puerto Rican chick Chris met about a year prior and that bitch was crazy as fuck. But regardless of her crazy ways, she was in love with Chris’ dog ass.
Mane suddenly burst out laughing. With the blunt in his hand, he pointed to Chris. “Yo, Tina ass a fuckin’ fool. That bitch had my nigga running out the house. Man, P, that babe jumped on the fuckin’ hood of the truck and would not get off until he got out. Mind you, this at three in the morning and she’s flipping the fuck out. Chris get the fuck out the truck! You not about to go nowhere!” Mane mimicked Xantina’s voice, making me laugh. “You know when she’s pissed, you can hear her accent real good. She went the fuck off and then she got to crying, yelling louder talkin’ ‘bout he coming out here to see some bitch.” He laughed.
Laughing, I looked at Chris. “I told you when we met that chick at the club to take her ass back to the bar and leave her there. But you just had to have her ass. Dumb mothafucka. You’re the king of finding crazy bitches, I’mma crown yo ass that, real shit. Lord, you and King would get along good. Put you two mothafuckas in the room full of bitches, you niggas will be in Heaven.”
“Wait, hold up,” Blaze jumped in. “How you get baby girl off the hood of the truck?” He looked from Mane to Chris with a curious look.
That had me wondering how as well. “Yeah, how the fuck you do that?”
Mane looked at me like I was crazy. “That mothafucka jumped off, shit. What the fuck you mean? I wasn’t about to fight with that damn girl when this mothafucka wasn’t trying to get her. I put the truck in reverse and sped out the driveway. Once I threw that bitch in drive, she hopped off. Chris ain’t shit because he told me to do it. He did tell her to take her ass back in the house and she didn’t so, aye, her fault.”
“Damn, you did yo girl like that?” Blaze asked Chris.
Chris shrugged. “That bitch crazy, if I would’ve got out the truck I would’ve ended up beating her ass. So, shid, the way I saw it, I helped her ass out.”
“I’m surprised she ain’t been blowing yo shit up after that.” I stood up, grabbing the blunt from Chris. After hitting it a few times I gave it to Blaze.
“That’s because her ass blocked until I get back to the crib,” he told us.
I started laughing as I went to leave the living room, but Syn ran into me as she rubbed her eyes.
“It smells good in here.” A yawn left her mouth before she looked up at me. Her hair was all over her head, but she looked good as hell to me. “What?” She asked. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
My fingers ran through her hair, pushing it back and out of her face. “What’s not to look at? You beautiful,” I told her straight up.
Her eyes rolled and her lips twisted to the side. “Thanks,” Syn let out a little laugh.
My arms went around her waist and I leaned down, kissing her. “You need to go put some clothes on.” I squeezed her ass tight.
She bit into her bottom lip and smile a crooked smile at me. “You gon’ help me get dressed?” She licked my bottom lip.
“I’m about to fuck this food up! Black, you making breakfast or what. I’m hungry as fuck and that nigga ain’t cook nobody shit but you,” Blaze called from behind me.
Syn’s body froze for a second as she stared at me. With her brows raised, she looked around me and into the living room. “Parker, why are they here? And you get yo feet off my damn table.”
I looked back to see Mane cross his feet at the ankles, not taking them off the table. My head tilted to the side at him. “Why you wanna mess with her? Get yo damn feet off her table.” I shook my head at him and Chris as they both laughed. I could see they were both going to be childish and pick with Syn constantly. I turned back to Syn. “I needed them to take some shit back to our side since I’mma be here for a few days. It couldn’t wait that long,” I explained to her before I kissed her again. “Now go put on some clothes then come and eat. You gotta be at school in two hours,” I turned her around and pushed her toward the room.
She turned back to face me and started walking backwards toward the bedroom. Once she was out of sight of the others, she raised my shirt that she was wearing, showing me her naked body. My dick immediately grew hard. “You sure you don’t wanna help me get dressed?”
I had every mind to go into the room with her and toss her black ass around for a few hours. “Why you playing? Go get yo clothes on and then come eat.” I knew once I had her in the bed I wasn’t going to let her out in time to make it to school or work for that matter.
“Forget you, too, then. Later on tonight, don’t be trying to get none either,” she threatened. Syn didn’t wait for my reply as she closed the door behind her.
My head shook and I laughed at her. That mothafucka is crazy as hell.
I went back into the living room and started to sit on the couch, but stopped as the front door started to shake. The handle jiggled before someone bumped into it. I reached under the couch pillow and grabbed my gun. Chris stood and went to peek out of the window. He looked back at me and shook his head, letting me know he couldn’t see anybody. I went to the front door and looked through the peephole, but like Chris, I didn’t see anyone. I went to unlock the door, but it was already unlocked. I grabbed the handle and slowly pulled it. But it didn’t open.
“I locked t
he top lock, undo it,” Mane whispered to me.
Why the hell would he lock the deadbolt?
I unlocked the top lock and snatched the door opened.
“Ahhhh!” Syn’s friend screamed before her hand went to her chest.
“Why the hell do you have a gun?” She snapped, hitting me in the chest. “You could’ve gave me a fuckin’ heart attack, you asshole. Damn!” She let out a deep breath as her hand went to her chest.
“Why the hell yo ass ain’t knock? Shid, I ain’t know who yo ass was. I couldn’t see you through the peephole. I thought you was trying to break in or some shit,” I glared at her. I started to push her short ass down.
Her eyes rolled hard as she held up a single key. “Why would I knock or break in when I got a key?” She asked smartly.
I stared her up for a second and then slammed the door in her face. I wanted to slap her smart mouth ass and swell her fuckin lips up more, but I walked to the couch and sat down.
Syn’s friend opened the front door, her eyes falling on me. “I will kick yo ass. Don’t slam no damn door in my face you rude ass bastard,” she snapped at me.
My head reared back and my brows rose. “Damn, you pissed ain’t you?” I laugh as she stood in front of me like she was going to do something. Syn’s friend and all, I would’ve knocked her ass out.
“Lips, sit the fuck down somewhere,” Blaze pushed her hard, making her fall down.
My head went back and I barked out a laugh from the name Lips. Shorty did have some big lips. “Nigga, you ignorant. Why the fuck you call her Lips?” I said, helping ol’ girl off of the floor. “You good, shorty?” She jerked away from me, mugging. “Aye, don’t be snatching away from me. I’m tryna help you out.”
“Shut up. And, Blaze, I dare yo ass to touch me again.” She pushed her bag up her shoulder, holding it.
I looked at her bag and then at Mane who was pointing toward it, silently asking me if I wanted him to get it. I shook my head no. “Yo, Syn, yo friend here!” I called out to her at the same time Blaze tapped my arm. I glance at him and he nodded toward Chris. I started laughing, Chris was checking shorty out hard.
“That’s the crazy chick you was telling me about?” He suddenly asked out loud.
Ol’ girl turned to look at him and then to me. “Who you talking about? Me?” She looked between us.
I nodded my head at her and then glanced at Chris. “Yeah, that’s her.”
“Damn, she look better in person than in her pic.” Chris stared her down before getting up and walking in front of her. “Hey, how you doing? I’m Chris.” He held his hand out for her.
She looked at his hand and her brows furrowed before her eyes rolled. “And I’m not interested.” She turned and walked out the living room. “Angel!” She yelled while walking towards the back room.
“Ol’ loud mouth bitch,” Chris said before looking at me. “I’mma fuck the shit out of her. Watch.”
“That nigga sick as fuck. Yeah, that mothafucka and King would most definitely get along good as fuck,” Blaze said and we all burst out laughing.
Shorty ain’t even know what she had started by walking away. Chris loved a crazy, shit talking female. I bet he was gon’ get her ass sooner or later.
Chapter 26
Angel
“Why that nigga answer the fuckin’ door with a gun pointed at me?” Missy burst into my room and slammed the door behind her.
My eyes squinted at her as I got my work clothes out. “Who?”
“Your boy. Bitch, my ass almost had a heart attack when he snatched that door open.” She flopped down on my bed as her face contorted into a glare.
With a shake of my head, I laughed. “He scared the shit out of you, didn’t he?”
Missy cut her eyes at me before she rolled them. “Girl, yeah, with his stupid ass. My damn heart jumped in my throat. Then he gon’ slam the damn door in my face.”
I let out a laugh and went to grab my ringing phone. My laughter stopped and my eyes rolled. I rejected the call and tossed my phone on my bed.
“Ugh, what’s wrong with you?” Missy sat up on the bed and then pointed to my phone. “Who was that?”
My eyes rolled again. “Leon. I don’t know why he keep calling me. He’s been calling since I woke up. I don’t have shit to say to him.” Missy looked away from me and ran a hand over her wavy black hair. “What, Miss?” I already knew it was something.
“Ang, I’m not saying start back fuckin’ with him because he was way out of line with putting his hands on you…” She trailed off with a shrug. “But maybe he really does like you. If he has falling for you, Ang, that’s not something you can easily walk away from. I mean, y’all been going at this for years. You can’t just put that behind y’all, especially because you two were friends as well. So I say talk to him. I gotda pee, nigga scared the shit out of me.” Missy got off of my bed and went into the bathroom.
I let out a laugh before a sigh left my mouth. I heard what she said, but I didn’t want to talk to him at all. The way he reacted toward me wasn’t right. He could have waited until we were in our own space with no one around before he decided to have that fight. But I guess if it wasn’t for the fight, I wouldn’t have had the courage to tell my girls about us or why I started sleeping with him.
My phone started ringing again just as Parker walked in the room. I looked at the screen and again it was Leon calling. A heavy sigh left my mouth as I tossed my phone on the bed.
Parker walked up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. “What’s wrong with you?” His head went into the side of my neck and he started to suck on my skin.
Leon was easily forgotten as my stomach grew tight from Parker’s mouth. My head tilted to the side, giving him more access. “You know we can stay in if you want,” I mumbled to him as his hands slid over my covered sex.
Parker laughed and then pulled away from me. “Yo ol’ nasty ass. N’all, I ain’t tryna hold you back. You got a lot of shit you need to do. So handle yo business. I got some shit I need to look into while I’m out here.” He grabbed my chin and turned my face towards his. Then he leaned into me and pressed his lips against mine.
I twisted myself in his hold and wrapped my arms around his neck. Before I could get into the kiss my phone started ringing again. A groan left my mouth, I already knew it was Leon. The phone stopped ringing and my text notifications went off twice.
Parker pulled away from the kiss. He glanced down at me for a second then looked over to my phone as it started to ring once again. He looked at me with a raised brow. “Yo ass popular this morning, ain’t you?” He nodded towards the device. “You gon’ answer it?”
I opened my mouth and then closed it. I didn’t know if I should tell him who was calling me or not. I was still new to this relationship thing and I didn’t want to keep secrets. Hell, I already had too many of those I was hiding.
My shoulders shrug. “No, I don’t plan to. It’s Leon calling. I don’t know what he wants and I don’t want to be arguing with him either.”
Parker reached over and grabbed my phone as the text notification went off again. I quickly snatched it from him. I didn’t know what Leon had texted me and it was no telling with him. I didn’t want Parker to see the bullshit he may have said.
His brow rose at me and he looked at my phone as the notifications went off again. “You ain’t gon’ look at it?”
A sigh left my mouth and I sat on the bed. I unlocked my phone and pulled up my messages. The last message Leon sent was him calling me a triflin bitch. Two was of him telling me to answer my fuckin’ phone. The rest was him threatening to fuck Parker up. Another message came through as I was reading what he sent.
Tell that screw face nigga when I see him I'mma bury his ass.
Never would I have thought that Leon would ever react this way, especially since he had a woman. I didn't want there to be bad blood between us given the fact we had the same mutual friends. Because of that, we were bound to be around ea
ch other and I didn't want it to be a fight whenever we all got together. As I thought that, my phone went off again.
You better hope I don't catch yo hoe ass. You triflin’ bitch. You wanna play with a nigga, bitch you got the wrong mothafucka. You gon’ send that ho ass nigga at me, Angel? That's what you wanted to do? Bitch, you better watch yoself. That screw face nigga ain't always gon’ be around.
Leon snapped off through his message.
My brows furrowed. Did he just threaten me? I was confused. Why would he even think I would have Parker come after him? Hell, I didn’t even tell Parker about the fallout I had with him. And to know all of this is happening because I want to date someone other than him is crazy. I was trying hard to understand Leon. My head shook as a heavy sigh slipped through my parted lips.
Parker reached out and grabbed my phone from me. I didn't even bother to grab it back from him as I got lost in my thoughts. I wanted to understand what I really did to Leon to make him react that way toward me. And if it was because I wouldn't date him, that was his fault.
Even though I didn't have feelings for him, I felt that if he really wanted to be with me, he should have tried to show me a different side of him other than the dog ass nigga he was. I didn't know if my feelings would have changed, but at least it would have showed me something I wasn't used to seeing.
That was the thing about Parker. Even though he had all the hood qualities, Parker didn't treat me like a normal hood would. Leon had never showed me any other side of him. My hands ran over my head, I didn't know what to do or how to respond back to Leon. One thing I did know was that I didn't want to argue with him.
Parker suddenly started laughing. “Damn, homie mad ain't he?”
I didn't see what he found funny. I knew how crazy a nigga could get when he felt like someone messed him over. I'd witnessed many niggas beat the hell out of a female, leaving her in critical condition for it. Who was to say that Leon wouldn't come after me for that shit? Hell, I wouldn't put anything past him at that point. And the fight between him and Parker probably pissed him off more.
