“Forget what I said about the week, you’re not going anywhere.” He threw a log on the fire and stared at it.
“Bull handed me over to you didn’t he?”
“Like he had a choice.” He said absently.
“Does everybody do what you tell them?”
“If they’re smart.” He replied harshly.
I got up and stood next to him. “Now what?”
He shook his head slowly a couple times. “Your father was one of my father’s most trusted brothers.”
“I know. Bull didn’t want anyone to know because by marrying me a brother could work his way into the club without much question. It was his way of forcing me not to use the club to gain my own power.” I told him how it was explained to me.
“Fucking soap opera with these guys.” He complained.
I laughed, “Sometimes, just be glad you don’t have to deal with the chick drama. You wanna talk about fucked up. Women are scary.” I assured him.
He smiled and turned to lift my chin so I’d look up into his eyes. His eyes softened, “Your father was like an uncle to me. I’m an old man Peach.”
“How old are you?”
“Forty-eight.”
My scalp gave me a facelift, “WHAT??”
“Too old for you baby?” He’s enjoying this because he has me firmly in his grip now.
“No, not at all, but you look much younger.” I still couldn’t believe he as almost fifty! “Did you drink the entire fountain of youth?”
He smiled obviously enjoying my shock and compliment. “I have certain health requirements you should be aware of.”
“Aside from jerking off on me every chance you get?” I smiled really big enjoying my joke.
He gave me a mock dirty look with amusement clearly veiling his anger. Then I saw his eyes darken as a more wicked smile took over his face behind the beard. “I can think of a better way to get off.”
I stepped back pointing at him, “We should be hunting. You already made me sleep in.”
“I’ll go into town later.” He bargained.
“Does this mean I’m stuck with you whether I like it or not?”
He’s stalking me, but not seriously. “Yes, which means you might as well marry me. Do you want to dance around this fire? Or pack for the cabin?”
I stopped dead. “Wait, what?”
“Cabin, pack, three months, then you marry me legally. We’ll figure the rest out after that.”
I sat hard on the ground. “Marry you? Legally? Like for reals?”
“Reals?”
I blinked, “I heard it on TV. Can we just start with the cabin today??”
He took my hand and pulled me back up. “Can we start with the cabin, what?” He’s taunting me now.
“Sir, may we please proceed to your mystery cabin, sir?” I put my hand on his arm to steady myself.
“Yes, start packing. It’s about an eight hour walk. I’ll get the tent.”
“What about your bike?”
He’s using his foot to clear away debris a little ways from our campsite.
“Turner?”
“Hush baby, do what I tell you.” He stomped his foot on the ground one time making me jump as a giant trap door flung open. “There she is.” He walked over to his bike and walked it over to the…cellar??
He looked at me, “What?”
I just blinked and shook my head to go see what was in the hole. “You never cease to make me wonder what the fuck.” I looked down. There’s a small garage down there!! Tools we could have used!
I watched as he walked his bike down the ramp and into a contraption that tethered the Harley to a giant hook embedded in the rock.
“I can handle someone stumbling across this and taking my tools, but they’re gonna have to work to get my ride. That reminds me.” He hit a switch on the wall and looked up at me for a change, “Alarm. Why aren’t you packing?”
“Because I’m struck dumb. What other tricks do you have up your sleeve?”
He smiled wickedly, “I have a few. Now go before I get out of here and decide you should walk with a sore ass today.”
I stomped my feet like a child and went to pack. My brain is on overload now. A trap door for his bike? Tools? ELECTRICITY??? What the hell is going on here? I took a deep breath and decided to see what happens next. It’s not like I have much of a choice.
We packed and tossed almost everything in the underground garage. I guess he has supplies at this cabin. I didn’t say much as we started walking because, well, what can I say?
If I start in on the questions he’ll hush me again, which doesn’t bother me, judges have been telling me my whole adult career to shut up in one way or another. I tend to run over witnesses. I can’t help it, when they’re clearly lying, and their stories don’t match up, I like to point it out in a dramatic fashion. Keeps the jury awake.
Thank Turner we weren’t carrying much. I believe in GOd, but it amuses me to say Turner instead. I still picture the look on his face that night and smile despite the circumstances.
I only have a small black backpack, and another small black bag he’d given me for my herbs, to carry. He seemed to think for a second before giving me the bag, like he wasn’t sure I should bring my herbs. I would have carried them in my hands if I had to.
He was right on about the eight hour walk. I had to stop twice to relieve myself, so that added about ten minutes.
Around hour six I started getting clumsy because I’m tired. Even my walking stick was tripping over shit.
Turner caught me stumble and stopped, “Come here.” He always wants me to come to him, even if he’s a foot away. Power. Control.
I walked over and sat on the ground. “I need a break.”
He stepped around behind me and helped me out of the backpack. Then he threw it over his shoulder and bent to scoop me up like a bride. “No breaks. It’s going to be too close to dark by the time we get there as it is.”
I set my head on his shoulder, “Sorry I’m such a wimp.”
“You kept up better than most women would have.”
“You’ve probably had a lot of women huh?”
“Depends on your definition of a lot.”
“A hundred?” I asked playing in his beard.
He looked down at me, “That’s a lot.”
I shrugged, “You’re old.” I laughed tugging his beard, “I’m just kidding, you’re not old.”
He rolled his eyes, “I’m well aware of my age Peach.”
“So? Fifty?”
“I didn’t keep track, but I can tell you for a man my size with my specific needs, there’s only a handful of women out there who can take me.”
“Were you seeing someone when you kidnapped me?”
“I don’t see anyone, not like you mean. Unfortunately the women I deal with require money for their tolerance. The last one quit.” He said oddly.
“Quit? Why?” Now I’m curious.
“I got too rough. It was taking too long and I found myself preferring to get it over with. My mind wandered and I ended up wasting my money. She said I wasn’t into it and she didn’t want the rejected feeling I left her with again. I can’t blame her, it was a bad day.” He confessed.
“Wow. That’s a lot to take in. The part that I can’t get over is you taking too long. So far you’ve been pretty easily sated.”
“That’s you. Whatever evil magic you have is destroying me. Then I find out your father was an Original, and Monkey at that. It’s a little mind blowing.”
“Did you know him?”
“Yes, like I said, he was like an uncle to me. He must have had you later in life. I never knew he even had a kid.”
“To protect me. I got birthday cards for about five years until he died. I never even saw him, just got cards. That’s all I have of my real father. Other than his looks. Looks I didn’t realize were so similar until his memorial.” I picked at his leather collar. Sometimes I miss what I never had.

He was a good man Peach, one of the best.”
I suddenly felt a loss for not knowing him, that’s never happened before. Something about my father getting Turner’s approval made me long for my real father.
I wonder what Monkey was like? Was he like me? “Turner?”
“Yes baby?”
“Tell me about him.” I begged fighting tears.
“Don’t cry. I’ll tell you everything I know.” I don’t think Turner has ever seen a woman cry before. The look of fear and horror that crossed his face gave me hope that the man may have a heart after all.
He talked to me about my father as he carried me the last two hours. For forty-eight years old he sure has some fierce endurance. Oh God. I bet he’s insatiable in bed….no wait, he’s sated himself many times. I’m so confused.
Back to my real father. His real name is not to be mentioned, but he went by Monkey. Only Bull knows how he got the name. Evidently Monkey was good at everything. He was an Original, and sat on the council, but held no real title. He got a vote, and the respect given any council member.
“He had your eyes now that I think about it.” He told me interrupting my thoughts.
I shifted in his arms because his hair is covering his ear and I think I might want to nibble. All this reminiscing is making me sentimental. “Yeah?”
“Same color and shape I think, it’s been a while since I’ve seen him.”
I gathered his long dirty blonde hair in a pony tail to get if off his neck.
He looked down at me, “What are you doing?”
“My natural hair color is under my crazy blonde, was that the same color?”
“Maybe, he had brown hair. Peach…” He added with slight annoyance because I touched his neck with my finger running it from under his earlobe to his collar.
“Thank you sir, for telling me about Monkey. I can’t call him my dad, but it’s nice to feel like I know something about him.”
“You’re most welcome love, but if you don’t stop flirting with my ear you’re going to find yourself in trouble.” He warned.
“It’s getting dark, you should keep moving.” I suggested giving his hair a slight tug.
He stopped and looked down at me, “Are you taunting me?”
“Just for a kiss.”
He closed in and kissed me wet. Wow. He doesn’t mess around. Like a southern gentleman leads a lady in a dance, he’s leading me into temptation.
I moaned in his mouth making him pull up. His eyes scolded me, “Do you want me?”
I smiled fingering his beard, “Yes, I do. But not here. I like you Turner, if I have to be stuck with a man for the rest of my life, you’ll do.”
He gave me a mock dirty look and bit that pouty lip as he resumed walking. “You’re in big trouble when I get you home.”
“Home? This is where you live?” I asked trying to lighten the mood.
“Yes. Other than The Henderson’s, you’re the only one I’ve brought here.”
“The Henderson’s?” I asked thinking of the movie.
“Yes. She got tangled up in some nasty federal shit that wasn’t her fault. I offered to hide her and her husband in exchange for keeping my cabin while I’m gone. They live here, but in separate quarters.”
I felt my spider sense tingle, “Turner Colson, are you hiding something from me?”
7
He looked down at me as he took two steps up to the crest of the hill. “Welcome home my love.”
“Why do you call me that?”
“Peach, look up the hill.” He said with a wicked gleam in his eyes.
I looked to my right expecting the outhouse from hell. “Holy shit.”
Before us is this giant house of logs and glass. The front is lit up by indoor and outdoor lights.
I grabbed his beard, “Are you fucking kidding me???”
He shrugged, “I never thought you’d make it this far.”
“If there’s hot water in there I’m going to spank YOU!!!” I jumped out of his arms and took off running up to the house.
He kept up easily enough with less than a jog now and then. Obviously he’s comfortable with this area because he’s letting me get so far away. Around camp he’d get bumpy if I wandered off too far.
I stopped a few yards away. “This is amazing.” It looks like Lincoln Logs on crack. A dream house. Something out of a magazine, that will never be in one.
“You ever tell anybody about this and I’ll cut your tongue out.” He stepped forward taking my hand.
“That would be stupid, I give a mean blow job.”
He actually laughed out loud, “So true Miss Pine.”
“If you let me soak in a hot bathtub for an hour, I’ll suck your brains out.” I laughed hugging him around his waist.
“You better flex that jaw baby, because I’m about to blow your mind.”
And that he did. “We’ll go in through the mud room, we both stink.”
“You stink. I can’t believe you have this giant mansion way up here. How did you get materials to build up here?” I asked looking around.
“I built most of it myself. I had the rest flown in via helicopter.”
“Geezus Turner.” I gaped as he opened the door to the ‘mud room’. Mud room my ass. “This is way to elegant for a mud room.”
“I have a lot of time on my hands.” He said simply pulling my shirt off over my head. “Shower first, I’m going to go let Mrs. Henderson know I’m here.”
“Wait, shower with me. I want to meet her.”
He took his shirt off and kissed me clothes and all right into the shower. We’ve bathed together in the river and in the hot spring. He’s seen my body, I’ve seen his. But this is our first real shower together.
The intimacy level jumped up a notch as I washed him. “Do you talk to Mrs. Henderson?”
“No, she doesn’t require direction. Most likely she already knows I’m here. I doubt we’ll see her or her husband very much.”
I took the towel to dry him off. “Why? You don’t like them?”
“I like my privacy Peach.” He scolded me as I walked around his larger than life body. He hardly seams real, and dwarfs even the forest with his girth.
“I feel like I’m invading your privacy now.” I said more to myself.
He scooped me up and set me on the dryer and pushed my knees apart to cup my face and look into my eyes, “You can invade my privacy anytime you want. Another rule before I forget.”
“Number four is it?”
“Tell nobody I’m speaking to you. If you don’t want to lie, refuse to answer if anyone asks. Talking to you is one thing, I have no need or desire to speak to anyone else, ever. You’ll speak for me as my old lady.” He ordered.
“Wow. Okay, I think I can do that. You’re serious about this old lady stuff aren’t you?” It hadn’t quite hit me until he said he wanted me to speak for him. As a lawyer I speak for other people all the time, but not like this.
“Yes.” He put one hand behind my head and the other decided to see if I was wet between my legs. “You’re mine Georgia, don’t ever forget that. I’ll protect you with my life, and frustrate the hell out of you, but make no mistake,” He pushed two fingers quickly into me, “you belong to me.”
“Ah…” I can’t think when he does this.
He pulled free after a good couple thrusts. “No pleasure for you right now, I need a beer.”
“Beer?” Did he say beer?? How does he get me so wet so fast?
He tossed me a very large bathrobe, “Put this on for now. Come.” He stepped through the door stark naked.
I tripped over the robe twice trying to keep up. He has a great ass. Yum. It’s a good thing I need both hands for this robe or I might be tempted to get a handful or two.
He turned on lights as we walked down a long hallway with doors on either side.
“What’s in all these rooms?”
“Different shit, I’ll show you another time.” He took four steps up and in we went
to the main part of the house with the glass front. The furniture is rustic at best with a bunch of coordinating pillows, long flowing drapes, and blankets everywhere. The decor is minimalistic, yet plush, warm.
I’m stunned doing slow motion donuts as I take it all in. The skylights are fantastic. The stone fireplace makes me feel like we’re back in the Colonial days.
“Here baby.” He offered wrapping his arms around me from behind with beers in each hand. It was an out-of-character thing for him to do.
I took one of the beers and downed half the bottle right away. “Oh that’s good.”
He kissed the top of my head, “Point in your favor Miss Pine, I like a woman who appreciates a good beer.”
“I love beer, the redder the better.”
“Excellent. Come, I’ll show you the bedroom, then you can fix us something to eat.”
“Gladly.” As much as I like camping, the idea of spending three months in the same clothes and sleeping on the ground did not appeal to me. I have a short attention span for the outdoors.
I followed him down another hall to a large wooden double door with antique knockers, lions heads? Where am I? The dungeon?
He pushed the doors open and I about fell out of my knickers. The rustic theme is continued with wood and iron, but this room is lush with dark royal burgundy pillows, comforter, upholstery and drapes. The textures are muted calico and absolutely romantic.
“Turner?”
“Yes my love?” He opened another door to a walk-in closet and pulled on a clean pair of jeans.
“I’m in shock, this place if beautiful.”
“I’m well aware of that.” He threw me a t-shirt. “Put that on to cook in. Are you cold?”
“No, I’m numb. Do your brothers know about this place?”
“Nope. The only people that know it’s here are the people who helped build it and the ones who drop me supplies. They’re all covered by privacy disclosure agreements.”
“I feel like I’m dreaming.” I dropped the robe and pulled the shirt on. It’s soft and hangs like a sloppy dress. I love it. “Can I steal a pair of socks? My feet are always cold.”
He handed me a pair and smacked my butt a little too hard, “When you ask me for something make sure you address me as ‘sir’. Just because I like you, doesn’t mean you get away with not following the rules.”
